So as a major LITA and Kinnporsche lover I was already on board with the headcannon of Phayu as VegasPete's kids and Prapai as KinnPorsche's kid. I mean ignoring timelines and ages of all actors involved there is a lot of similarities in their appearance and personalities.
Phayu is connected with the Mafia, he loves bikes (like Vegas), has a dark/dominant side (like Vegas), but also values his close friendships and is incredibly loyal (like Pete).
Prapai is connected with the Mafia, he loves bikes (like Porsche), is CEO/good at business (like Kinn), is a bit of a playboy, a great big brother, and very loyal and protective to those close to him.
Now to finish the trio, and since I loved the craziness that was Pitbabe, I would like to induct Babe into my headcannon family as the kid of KimPorchay. I shall ignore the cannon plot of Babe's dad cause I could still see Babe fitting in with this family and having influences. Also I feel like Babe reminds me of Kim in that he puts on a hard shell but is secretly a softy inside.
I can picture Phayu, Prapai, and Babe racing each other and arguing over bikes vs cars. I think Rain, Sky, and Charlie would also be a chaotic trio of besties.
I really hope that the fanfiction authors flourish in this universe and bring us many crossovers :)

Tumblr media
Hmm, I’m having feelings about this scene again, so before I get back to fic writing, I gotta just get this stuff off my chest.
See, in a lot of reconciliation fics I’ve read for KimChay, most often times when Chay asks why Kim acted the way he did, the reason is almost always some iteration of, "I wanted to protect you." Which is, in and of itself, it's not totally incorrect, but in my opinion, that answer has always felt a little off, yknow? Because it gives Kim the luxury of time in thinking about his actions and coming up with an excuse to justify his own cruel behavior. It gives him a way out that honestly feels a bit unfair to Chay, so most often it's totally brushed off to the side.
I'm not saying that answer is totally wrong, since I myself have used it in a roundabout way in my own fic, but the way I see it, at that specific moment, Kim's motivations as to why he dodged Chay and pulled away from him had absolutely nothing to do with protecting Chay and everything to do with protecting his own pride.
It's definitely not a calculated move; it's more impulsive than anything else. Lol It's an interesting thing to think about, since a part of me can't help but wonder: is this just a really mean habit he has, or is it because he didn't want Chay's perfect image of him to shatter?
Either way, whether it's part of his personality or all about protecting his image (I'm personality more leaning towards the former, ngl), Chay's wellbeing is not at all taken into consideration in this scene.
As a fan of Kim's character and trying to remain loyal to how he's portrayed in the show, I gotta not give him excuses, yknow? XD Lol
I think part of the reason this scene is so hard to watch for me is because, at the very moment at which Chay had needed Kim the most to explain to him what's going on, although Kim returns his feelings, the latter cared more about his own feelings than he ever did about the person he's in love with.
It comes to a head with their next encounter at the club scene-which is also painful af to watch-because in this moment, they both care more about their own feelings than they do each other, since Chay didn't even stop to think that Kim had just protected him from making a big mistake. And Kim didn't take Chay's feelings into consideration that seeing him would be hard to bear for Chay, considering how their breakup had gone down. :'D
Tumblr media
In terms of character development, it's not totally a bad thing. After all, who in the world ever likes being caught red-handed AND called out (in this case, both Kim and Chay to each other)? In the beginning of the show, Porsche had a penchant for calling out Kinn's shit behavior-even when they were both aware that Kinn was already falling for him-and that allowed for the Theerapanyakul of that relationship to learn that if he wanted to be in Porsche's life, if he wanted Porsche to want to be in his life, more than loving him, Kinn also had to learn to respect him.
It's the same theme with both VegasPete and KimChay: there is a difference between loving someone and respecting them.
And for men like Kinn, Kim, and Vegas, can anyone even begin to imagine how difficult it would be to learn to respect someone, when all of them have lived their entire lives up until that point turning their noses down everyone else? That it's second nature for them to think of everyone else as trash?! That to have that sort of arrogance is part of why their family has been able to climb their way to the top?!
(The VegasPete novel makes so much more sense to me now, because Vegas found it so hard to learn to respect Pete that he had to create an entirely different persona for it! LOLOLOL HE HAD TO DISASSOCIATE, BECAUSE HIS ARROGANCE IS SUCH AN INTRINSINCT PART OF HIS PERSONALITY AS A THEERAPANYAKUL! HAHAHAHA! And Pete is all, "my baby is trying his best, so points for effort" Lol)
Kimchay's scenes up until this point have been tender and poignant, but there are moments even in the beginning where although Kim was falling for Chay already, he didn't respect him whatsoever (ignoring his calls, giving him homework without any intention of following up, etc.)
The breakup scene was a jostling reminder to the audience that we cannot ever forget that Kim is a Theerapanyakul, and with that name, comes all the hubris and arrogance that being a member of that family entails. There is credibility to what Pete says when he states that out of all of them, Kinn is the most normal.
In other words, Kinn is the most "normal" because not only does he genuinely care about the wellbeing of the bodyguards in a way the rest of the family doesn't (Tankhun is tactless when he speaks towards them, Vegas uses them as meat shields, and Kim is dismissive and cold towards them, etc), but also because of the softness he genuinely harbors inside, he's more easily able to let go of that arrogance (case in point: the forest adventure with Porsche).
Is it any wonder to Korn WHY the bodyguards can easily be bought off? :'D
Tumblr media
(Side note: We know Kim himself is somewhat aware of his own vanity, as he was able to perfectly say the line in the screenshot without hesitation. On top of that, this is a very loaded line; wtf has he done before that he would even be aware of his own reputation?! Haha! I know the established fanon is also that he's bad at playing detective, but I wonder if it's not necessarily that he's bad at intel gathering, and more like he was having an off day with this particular leg of his detective work, since daddy dearest is actively making sure he's a couple steps ahead of his son. Hmm.
In my opinion, it lines up more with Kim's subsequent actions later down the road, and the overarching theme of KPTS (falling in love is in and of itself a humbling experience), as this gorgeous fucker did not at all think about the consequences of his actions. XD
It isn't until Chay has completely cut him off that Kim begins to learn that simply loving him won't be enough-will never be enough-to get him back in his life.

Ok it’s own post because I am OBSESSED with the bodyguard lunch scene in this episode. It’s like literally my favorite scene. Like…even my face VP scenes don’t top this scene for me.
Ok so god where to start. Let’s just go from the beginning:
Pete’s “Disneyland!🤗” joke is so fucking funny. Especially after looking so annoyed while waiting for Porsche to wake up. (This poor man has probably had to help carry the new guy’s unconscious body twice in like a month. I would be put out too.)
The fucking music shifting from this very light comedic beat to a fucking alarm when Vegas shows up kills me every time. No subtlety at all. This man is a walking red flag and the show wants you to know it 😂
Pete being SO jumpy. So many people have talked about his jumpiness in this scene over the past year but goddamn, it kneecaps me every time thinking about it with the full context of his past.
The fact that Vegas has barely sat down before Kinn shows up. You just KNOW Kinn was in the other room trying to hide his longing stares while he thought about Porsche and so he immediately saw Vegas make his way to the table and was like “oh hell no, bitch.”
One again a costuming note: Kinn in gray robes with Porsche, Arm, and Pol on one side of the table, Vegas and Pete in black on the other side.
This cheese ad is the second funniest ad on the show (after the bread obviously). Bible’s smiles especially are just…insanely funny.
Honestly wish we’d had more Kinn and Vegas scenes. The tension in this scene is sooooo good. I also love how Vegas kind of lights up when he realizes hitting on Porsche genuinely gets under Kinn’s skin. Before that he was just doing what his father asked, but now he smells the blood in the water. And he’s looking to make Kinn bleed as much as he can. I adore him bringing up Tawan here. He’s probably been waiting so long for an opportunity like this one.
TANKHUN WITH THE STEEL PAN
Lord, do I have thoughts about Tankhun in this scene. First of all, 100% big brother protection mode here. He heard that line about Tawan; you can’t convince me otherwise, ok? Secondly, I think it’s the first time we really see the original heir Tankhun come through. He has no fear of retaliation for assaulting Vegas. You know, the scary guy who tortures people for fun. But this is the Main Family territory. It’s Khun’s territory. So he does as he pleases, even to the Minor Family. But the moment Vegas is gone, he shifts right back to spoiled, petulant Khun Nu.
And Vegas…leaves. It’s actually one of those super telling moments about how unbalanced the dynamic between the two families really is. Macau is physically assaulted in episode two, and the Minor Family has to demand the lowly guard who did it be punished (instead of just doing it themselves). Vegas is physically assaulted by Tankhun here, and he has to shrug it off and leave. It’s so easy to see how these kind of little indignities have piled up over the years, festering. The toxicity carried over from their parents.
I just…I love this scene so much. It’s tells us so much about these characters in such a short period of time, it’s so funny and dramatic. It’s delightful. And it was probably THE moment for me when this show went from “eh enjoyable enough” to “ok you got me, I’m hooked.” Fave scene, hands down.

You know, I think it's a shame that in light of Build stepping down from BOC, people are missing the silver lining that Daemi will no longer have any further association with KP.
Sure, an actor a lot of people liked is gone. But so are two authors who dead-ass dedicated an entire chapter to Kinn violently tearing Porsche's asshole open, and built Vegas and Pete's entire relationship on an assault that makes what went down in the series look like a middle aged married couple awkwardly trying to roleplay a scene from the edited for network TV version of 50 Shades of Grey.
I'd also ask that people remember Thailand is very much a part of southeast Asia that's making a real effort to modernize, and move away from some of the toxic conservative and frankly backwards attitudes that can be prevalent in this region. BOC is doing a lot of good in this regard, because the fact yaoi exists, and that the industry uses these tropes speaks to an interpretation of queer culture built on viewing and translating it through a socially conservative lens. It's Asian society going 'these couples can't possibly be like us, so they must be like this' and then just sexing those tropes up to 10. BOC is out here doing the lord's work introducing all these thirsty women in their early 20's to masc for masc, but I digress.
I think people would be a lot happier if they went into BL prepared for growing pains like this. Actors were openly homophobic until just a few short years ago. A lot of them got into BL for easy money or to break into the industry, and weaponized homophobia to protect their reputations and make sure they could get work outside the BL industry. There really wasn't much of a bar for who studios were willing to sign. People should be glad the industry has started to weed this behavior out and grow up. It's a good thing. I'm bummed out about what happened to Build, I liked him, but I'm excited for the social turn Thailand is taking. Because I find it hard to believe Thai fans would have even given a fuck ten years ago. Just look how Apo was treated.

Acting via Micro-expression - Mile's Kinn
A case study of acting techniques
Also read:
Apo's Porsche
Build's Pete
Bible's Vegas
I think everyone agrees now that Mile and Apo are actors of remarkable talent but I continue to be floored by how well Mile employs micro-expressions to say so much in such little time.
One of my favourite scenes is this one where we can't even see his whole face with the sunglasses but it's his intent is crystal clear. He is not judging Porsche for his shyness but he is also not accomodating it. He is gentle but stubborn, even slightly bemused and infinitely understanding. We are here, we are proud, we are not going to hide - that's what he is telling Porsche and us the viewers solely through the set of his eyebrows and mouth. I won't even go into the details of how important this is in the context of LGBT pride.
Tumblr media
Another favourite is this one. Kinn is hurt because Porsche is hurt and he is the reason for that hurt and he knows it but he can't do anything about it. He in guilty but also pitying himself - selfish of him considering the situation but he's human. Mile is not even moving here but you can see the slightest shift in his gaze. Again a masterclass in acting.
Tumblr media
This is one of his longer scenes and he's very clearly moving his face but Mile is still able to convey 10 different emotions with very little expression - fear, disbelief, confusion, reluctance, even slight frustration.
Tumblr media
Hell Mile is even good with comedy which in my opinion is a very tough acting gig if you don't have a natural inclination for it. He embodies the disgruntled awkwardness of Kinn perfectly here. To add, he is doing the "acting of acting" bit here, meaning Mile is enacting Kinn and Kinn is acting in front of Porsche (his smile) while simultaneously acting in front of his friends that isn't interested in Porsche. this is scene is peak subtle comedy.
Tumblr media
Just- look at this. How seamlessly Mile transitions from horny playfulness to.. not sad exactly... a resolved fear is what it feels like to me. as viewers we never lose the beat of Kinn's emotions, not even for a moment. Considering the setting, this is exceedingly domestic and intimate. It's painful to be in so much love, painful to want to protect someone and but not being able to. He is afraid and fond and in love and even a little guilty and you feel that in less that 3 seconds, without words without any big emoting on Mile's part.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Any other actor would do this scene with double the flourish and half the impact. Mile's Kinn is suave and badass but he is not without humour. Mile is able to perfectly balance grace/elegance and comedy here.
Tumblr media
Another scene of complex emotions - Kinn is smiling but it's such a sad smile. he knows that things have not been made right with Porsche. Porsche has accepted his apology but not because it was a good apology but because of Porsche's personality. Kinn realises that but also understands that now is not the time to push him. There's sadness, there's also guilt, there's also an immense sense of protectiveness over Porsche. Kinn wants to protect Porsche, ironically from himself - his past self. There's pity and this time not for himself but for Porsche not just because Kinn loves Porsche but because its human to empathize with another's pain.
Tumblr media
Don't think I even need to mention this moment. This is the stuff of legends now in the KP fandom so won't elaborate much. His desparation is palpable - almost a physical thing, extremely viscose. Again, most of his face and eyes are hidden, we can only see half his face and one of his eyebrows.
Tumblr media
Bonus:
This gif here to emphasize that it's not just micro-expressions that Mile is good at. He is good with the emotive bit of acting as well. You can almost feel the relief of quenching your thirst after a long spell of dehydration.
Tumblr media
PS: corrected some grammar

OK, listen. A thing I just thought about:
Vegas doesn’t drink the way Kinn does (Ref: a post by @suzteel, I think, listing the incidences when Vegas does drink and what he drinks, in canon, that I will link when I can track it down)
Kinn absolutely drinks, more than he probably should, given the way we constantly see him pouring himself a tumbler of whiskey.
And I think there are a number of reasons for Vegas not to drink the way Kinn does, including the need to ALWAYS be on alert and responsive to potential violence in his own home. From his own family. Which, lbr, Kinn also faces the threat of, just emotional and psychological, rather than physical, thanks mutually shitty dads whose abuse takes differing forms - but here’s the thing: I don’t know that Kinn even realizes that’s what’s happening to him, I don’t think he realizes he’s being abused, not in the way Vegas (sort of) does, so Kinn’s never really consciously prepared for it, it leaves leaves him twitchy like an inbred little purse dog, or a high-strung racehorse, and yet not even understanding WHY he’s jacked up on high-alert all the time and self-medicating with a tumbler of whiskey whenever he can get his hands on it.
As compared to Vegas, who is VERY aware that he has to be on high-alert at all times.
Also, Pete’s not stupid when it comes to his charges, the people he feels a responsibility to protect. So what’s his response when he comes home to find Vegas shit-faced, in a way he’s only ever had to deal with Kinn (or Tankhun)? And what’s driven Vegas to that point, in the first place, given his need to maintain control and self-control in ordinary circumstances?
(Oh. I bet it’s something to do with Pete ...)
(I also bet Pete's immediate reaction is that someone must have drugged him because Vegas would never ...)

Okay but like I have this idea of a KinnPorsche fic that starts with Gun disappearing pretty much when Pete was supposed to infiltrate the minor family
So that never happens and neither does the torture
And everyone is very wary cause they don't know what's happening, just that Gun seems to have vanished into thin air
Weeks go by
Months go by
Some (or most) of the bodyguards of the minor family just bolt, leaving Vegas and Macau exposed
While Korn is deciding if this is just an elaborate plan of his brother, a woman shows up and leaves a baby at the minor family compound, saying that he's Gun's child
They immediately run a DNA test and of course it's true
Korn decides that he's gonna grant the minor children protection in exchange of Vegas keeping Venice safe (Korn knows bodyguards talk and the baby is a Theerapanyakun and must be kept safe)
Vegas is furious, especially because Korn granting them protection pretty much means lending them the less competent bodyguards
So he refuses to take the deal unless Korn gives him at least one of his best men to be in charge of Venice's security
...enter Pete.
....LMAO YOU THOUGHT, OF COURSE THERE'S MORE
Vegas and Pete being an absolute disaster, like, the two people less qualified to be in charge of a kid
It's so bad that every single day a different Theerapanyakun, one of their significant others, one of their very close friends or one of the bodyguards is being summoned to help out
TanKhun flat out refuses the moment he steps in the house and the kid is crying, so he just walks out and promises to send cute fashionable outfits
Chay tries his best, but really, he's only ever been equipped to be a younger brother, so he ends up matching Venice's cries before Pete saves them both from their misery
Arm and Pol come together the first time, but while Arm gives it a try, once the baby is in his arms he gives him back immediately, feeling a surge of anxiety creeping in his body at the thought of being in charge of this very tiny human being. Ant then, the moment Pol takes the kid in his arms...Venice instantly falls asleep like he has finally found the place where he belongs in the world (Pete is impossibly jealous of his power, especially when Vegas mentions how much sleep he would be getting now if only Pol had been Korn's choice of Venice's head security)
Ken is called up by a desperate Pete who's been left alone for almost two days - Vegas is out in the field - and desperately needs a shower and a nap; the minute Ken steps in, Pete shoves the kid in his arms and disappears. A very confused Ken leaves the kid unattended for exactly fifteen seconds - he was checking that his gun had the safety on - and when he turns he sees Venice putting something in his mouth and he realizes right now and then that Vegas will have his head by the end of the day (it does not happen, but just because a very amused Macau puts him out of his misery after SOME time and informs him that his baby brother had just brought his empty fist to his mouth)
On one memorable occasion, even Chan is summoned to help out, and upon seeing Venice in the arms of the older bodyguard Pete just whispers a "daddy" with eyes full of devotion (Vegas is furious and shouts "I THOUGHT YOU DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO SPEAK ENGLISH" before storming out, leaving Pete very curious about the whole reaction but also feeling vindicated after the Pol comment)
(Chan is never called again, despite being by far the best babysitter)
Big and Tay show up at the same time one day, having being called separately by Pete and Vegas. Their strategy is "divide and conquer", so while one is in charge of the food, the other is in charge of the diapers. By the time they're leaving, Pete and Vegas are eyeing them curiously when noticing how they're distractingly stealing glances at each other.
When Vegas is the one left alone with Venice, he doesn't even last 24 hrs before loosing it and going at Yok's, leaving the baby in the - fortunately - capable hands of the bar owner before he gets smashed. When an annoyed Porsche shows up to pick both Vegas and the baby up, Vegas makes him promise to not tell anything to Pete, "I don't want him to think I'm not responsible enough when one day we're gonna get kids of our own" and Porsche is just like "... WHAT" but there's no way he can get Vegas to elaborate when he's like that so he just leaves it (for now)
Unfortunately the next day Pete ends up finding out (but not because of Porsche...bodyguards talk) and he and Vegas enter a screaming match, which prompts Macau to call the only person they would have never called. When Khun Kinn shows up, they both are so stunned that they instantly shut up. Kinn picks up Venice, tells them he's gonna take him out for a couple of hours, which is all the time they are allowed to get their s*it together, and he walks out. (He regrets it instantly. Venice cries for the whole time, even when Kinn desperately calls for help and Kim shows up. They end up being both really, really bad).
In the end, when Gun shows up again to take the baby away with him, he finds that he won't be able to. A whole squad of babysitters, led by Vegas, with Pete and Macau by his sides, are ready to give him Hell if he even thinks about approaching Venice (who's safely sleeping in Pol's arms).

If there were a kinnporsche season 2, what would you have included in the season bingo cards?
Bingo points because cards won't take all the shit I have to say
Antagonist Porsche. I didn't say villain because he's in the midst of murderers and horrible people. How much more worse can he be? But seeing as the show's mains from season one were Kinn and Porsche, I see Porsche shifting from protagonist to the person who stands in opposition to Kinn's goals. Because Kinn's goals are his father's goals and by the end of season one, Porsche had a gun to Korn's head. Porsche is not going to forget that. Especially considering he has access to minor family wealth AND Vegas (who also saw his father get shot by Korn). Which leads me to...
Vegas isn't going anywhere. I know we want Vegas and Pete to go find their happy ending, but they ended season 1 in the main family mansion hospital. The same place where Kinn stayed in episode 7 when he was shot. Vegas isn't going to run away from Korn. Especially since he knows (through finding out about Porsche's parents) that running away will never work. Korn will find him eventually and kill or punish him like Nampheung. Vegas wants vengeance for his wretched father and he knows running won't work so... Antagonist Number 2.
Kinn tries to save his relationship by buying Porsche a beachside getaway. In Episode 13, while Porsche was hesitant, while he was planning his escape, Kinn noticed that something was wrong. He's always been in tune with how Porsche feels. Even in ep3, he immediately knew Porsche was uncomfortable with the violence and asked Pete to take him out. Kinn will know something is up with Porsche. This time, Porsche would be more careful about his revenge and about destroying Korn. So it might be hard for Kinn to put his finger on what's wrong. But he will know something is wrong. His solution would be to buy Porsche that beachside bar in order to fix their relationship. Spoiler: it won't work but he'll get beachside sex that's incredibly cinematic with awesome audio.
Pete will have an episode. During a mission, or when watching someone get tortured, or anything. One day, he'll be fine one second and then he'll crumble the next. If this was real life (or unironically, fanfic) Pete would get REPEATEDLY triggered by Vegas' presence. Even when Vegas is trying to do something nice, he will be drawn back to the safehouse. This man was suicidal. That's not just something you walk off because your oppressor started smiling more. I see Pete going to therapy. I see him fighting to get back to his original self. It's impossible, but he doesn't stop trying.
Kim (as I've heard from novel readers) becomes obsessed with Chay. At first, it's social media stalking, but soon, it becomes physical stalking where he follows Chay around in the name of "protecting" him. He gets pretty invasive to the point that he has copies of Chay's keys, and has met with a bunch of Chay's classmates behind his back. Chay/Code is still a kid so I don't think BOC would put him in a precarious situation of following the novel entirely considering how hard Barcode took the break up scene. I doubt they'd go as far as including Kim's sexual assault. But I do think Kim would physically hurt Chay to control him. Something like grabbing his arm to pull him out of somewhere the way he did at that club. He might not even mean to hurt Chay but he would. ---- ALSO ---- Kim, while continuing his research into his family, will discover that Nampheung is still alive and he will take her from the mansion. He'll try to use her as leverage against Korn and will get whatever he wants because Korn wants her back. The thing is, till now, we don't even know what Kim wants or why he was investigating his father in the first place. But we know he wants something. We know he has the heart to kidnap Nampheung as much as his father does. That woman has the potential to be our very own most wanted mcguffin.
Chay takes fight lessons. They don't really work, but he does learn one move. Only one move. This one move is the thing that saves him in an emergency. And that emergency is the first time he gets the move right. He starts a singing career online that spirals into mini-stardom. It becomes a whole thing where their high school asks him to collaboration with their alumni-star Wik. Thus, Chay has to tolerate his ex for the sake of the collab. But don't worry too much about him. He's got that One Move in the bag.
Tankhun and Tem. Yes. Absolutely. Tem is going to fall in love with Tankhun and Tankhun is going to be so confused as to why this boy is suddenly everywhere. But, being the adopting father-figure, he takes Tem under his wing... until he realizes that Tem doesn't want to be tucked into a bed that Tankhun isn't in. (hihihihihihi)
Time and Tay will NOT break up. I know we've all prayed and casted and bound this relationship, but they are not going anywhere. They are as guaranteed as the sun rising in the morning. I don't even think Time will change. Tay has already tolerated EVERYTHING under the sun. What is he going to do now that will suddenly stick? Because I feel like he must have tried everything too. Time will just wait him out till he comes back. And we know Tay will come back. Tay will do everything except show himself some respect and Time knows this. Without Tem on the market, Time will find someone new to fixate on. Tay will get his heart broken again. But these two will stay together.
Someone... I don't know who... but someone will make a comment insinuating that Arm and Pol are running things on the side. It will never be outright, but the show will tease us with these two till eternity. They will leave clues about them being together, have dialogue that can only be understood in context of a secret relationship. But they will not make them canon, out rightly.
Ken and Big will show up in flashbacks. Because if Big was integral to Kim's plans, then that means he knows more about what Kim was doing than anyone. Big did for Kim what Pete did for Kinn. He was the one supplying him with information and doing half of the sleuthing. So if we're ever getting an inside of Kim's life, flashbacks of Big will be included. Same with Ken. Ken was the inside man who fed Vegas info. Once he died, Vegas couldn't get into the main mansion anymore. He had to have Porsche bring Pete OUT. Because Ken was dead. So... flashbacks will be included and Ken and Big shall return to grace our screens. :) (don't mind me. I just need a reason to have Nodt and Perth in the season)
Macau and Chay besties. We were robbed in season 1, but from what I heard from book readers, they were friends in the books. And on the show, they both go to the same school. SO, they know each other. I can imagine Chay moving into the minor mansion and realizing that this is the same home he's been having study time in with Macau. "Macau, are you mafia?" "Hehehe, nope!"
Jom will be our fish out of water in season 2. He will be the only one new to this whole mafia thing. Mr. Curious who will get in so much trouble trying to sneak into secure places in the minor mansion. He could even pretend to be a new recruit, after all with the tattoos and the way he dresses, he may as well be a minor family guard. With Porsche and Pete being too busy angsting over their problems, Jom will inherit the mantle of levity for the season.
Korn will die. I don't know who will kill him, but he will be so proud of that person because they would have played a good game and Korn would be getting a worthy successor.

Consider: Vegas in his Youtuber era calling himself Pete's trophy husband. Thoughts?
i don't see it? in my youtuber Vegas fic, Vegas is jokingly known as "cooking husband" by his viewers, but he never calls himself that or any other title (ie, people call Vegas "cooking husband!!" in the same way i tag b dylan hollis videos with "baking twink"). however, in canon, Vegas chafes a lot when he's boxed into specific roles, even the ones he puts himself in, because Vegas seeks unconditional love and acceptance but doesn't believe there's anyone who would. he plays or fills specific roles seeking that acceptance/care/love, but just as quickly rejects any acceptance/care/love he does receive because he thinks it's either a lie or only because of the role he's playing, and very often he pushes everyone away because he's terrified of when (not if) the people close to him will leave.
so i don't see Vegas referring to himself by any sort of role. or if he did/does, he's inevitably going to spiral about it really badly, even a "good" role like "trophy husband" in this case. actually, the premise of 'pot stirring' is Vegas getting caught up in being known as "the nice cooking husband" and chasing the high of internet affection, then self-sabotaging bad the second someone critiques him for deviating from that specific role. Vegas doesn't understand that his loved ones love him unconditionally, so anything that puts (or seems to put) a condition on that care opens up another opportunity for him to be rejected when Vegas "fails" his role (and Vegas can see rejection even when it's not there).
(this is actually also why i think Vegas tells Pete that Macau doesn't love him at the safehouse, but next we see of Macau is him watching for Vegas at his hospital bedside-- I think Vegas is slightly caught up in his "role" as Macau's brother. now, Vegas just is an excellent, caring older brother, it's not in any way a "role" or something he's playing, but i don't think Vegas fully realizes that. he's very protective of Macau and the first person Macau turns to when he's in trouble, but at the safehouse, Vegas is cut off from Macau. he can't help or protect him. he can't be "Macau's older brother" while he's trapped there, so clearly Macau doesn't have any reason to care about him anymore. obviously, Macau loves Vegas regardless, we all know that, but Vegas struggles to accept that people care for him at all, much less when he can't provide anything for them.)

VegasPete fic idea time!
I might write this. I might not. If it gets you inspired, feel free to grab it and write it yourself, I’d love to read it! 😁
So, the minor family coup never happened. Vegas and Pete still somehow managed to get their shit together and, well, get together. Don’t ask how. It involved a lot of shouting, crying and angry fucking.
Anyway, Pete doesn’t leave the main family for Vegas. At least not yet. He’s considered it, but hasn’t brought it up yet.
Also Vegas is the head of the minor family now, after Gun’s death in a very unfortunate car accident caused by someone cutting his brake cables. (What a tragedy, Vegas said, sipping his red wine. Unfortunately, the CCTV footage from the garage seems to be missing, so we’ll never find out who did it.) Since the coup never happened, Korn couldn’t really find a good reason not to make Vegas the leader, at least not a reason that would still let him keep Vegas as an asset - because let’s face it, it’s better to have a homicidal maniac on your side than actively working against you, and killing him feels to be a bit, well, overkill.
Unsurprisingly, VegasPete are trying to keep their relationship a secret. I mean, the head of main family’s security getting railed by the head of the minor family? No one can know. (Macau knows, obviously, but he’s happy for his hia and definitely won’t tell anyone. Porsche knows, too, but hopes that if he ignores it for long enough, it’ll just go away on its own.) Though it doesn’t look like they’re trying to keep it a secret, with Vegas requesting Pete’s “assistance” at least two times a week (”I need the BEST, Kinn, I don’t want your second-rate idiots!”) and sneaking into Pete’s room whenever he happens to be in the main family compound (causing massive alarm on at least three separate occassions).
They go on missions together. They make a truly perfect team. Seeing Pete all murderous makes Vegas incredibly horny, and also makes him fall in love over and over again, every time he witnesses Pete kill someone without the slightest bit of hesitation. It doesn’t help that with other people around, Pete’s all sweet smiles and Khun Wegath, making Vegas want to just kiss him and let everyone know that Pete belongs to him and only him, to make Pete the second leader of the minor family, to let him sit by Vegas’ side at meetings... But Pete wants to keep their relationship a secret, and for him, Vegas will gladly protect the secret until the day he dies.
And then a mission goes wrong. Vegas gets shot. He tumbles to the ground right in front of Pete’s eyes, clutching his chest, blood seeping through his shirt...
And Pete goes berserk. He kills everyone standing in his way. No one is allowed to survive. They will pay for hurting his Vegas. A part of his brain is yelling at him to fuck it, to go to Vegas’ side, but the part of him that wants to kill them all and possibly set the whole fucking building on fire wins.
Only when everyone is down and everything is quiet does Pete fall onto his knees by Vegas, Vegas who’s staring at him with his eyes wide open, unable to speak, barely able to breathe... Arm is saying something to Pete, something about help being on its way, but Pete doesn’t listen, he just holds Vegas’ bloodied hand and keeps murmuring stay with me, please, Vegas, stay with me, don’t you dare die, I can’t lose you, can’t live without you, Vegas, please, I love you...
And even though Arm and Pol are the only ones who hear this, and they would forget all about it if Pete asked, Pete doesn’t ask. He doesn’t care about people knowing anymore. He only cares about not leaving Vegas’ side ever again.
It’s a big scandal, obviously. Tankhun screaming about betrayal, Kinn staring with his mouth hanging open, Korn very sternly asking Chan how did they not know about this. (To be fair, Chan might have been neglecting his duties a bit since he got together with Big who totally, absolutely miraculously survived in this universe.) Bodyguards cheering outside the room when Pete resigns, saying he wants to follow his heart. Big laughing his ass off because Pete, aka Mr. Perfect Bodyguard, has been fraternizing with the enemy for months.
Vegas survives, obviously, and makes a full recovery. And yes, he gets to lead the minor family with Pete by his side, and Pete only ever calls him Wegath now, and yeah, Vegas still falls in love over and over again every time Pete gets that murderous glint in his eyes.
If dealing with Vegas himself was hard for the main family, dealing with VegasPete is a nightmare. But Pete is happy, and it looks like he keeps Vegas calmer and more grounded, and they are a great and very effective team, so no one really says anything against the relationship, not even when they catch them fucking in a bathroom, some bedroom, or (on one memorable occassion) in Kinn’s pool when they’re done with a meeting.
And if, a few months later, Korn unfortunately dies in a car accident caused by someone cutting his break cables, and the CCTV footage from the garage happens to be missing... Well, what a tragedy, Vegas sighs, sipping his red wine, and exchanges a knowing glance with his beloved, smiling husband.

Kinnporsche fanfic ideas
if you write any of these, please let me know in the comments! I know the first two are pretty long, so feel free to take it more as inspiration than strict requests. Just, I say this in every request but please make the relationships healthier (specifically Pete and Vegas) also I love the moments where Kinn is protective of Porsche so please include those.
Soulmates au - where each person has a animal counterpart that accompanies the the soulmate instead of them (starting when both are born so if one is older the animal doesn’t manifest until the younger is born) and once they meet the animals let each know they’re soulmates. I like the animals that Gehenna1986 chose for the characters in their fanart on tumblr (so Kinn would grow up with Porsche’s panther and Porsche Kinn’s lion). The animals bear the personality of their counterparts (so Porsche’s would be playful, a little dramatic, and protective. Also scared of ghosts. Kinn’s would have a temper and be authoritative). I’d like the events to progress fairly similar to canon (maybe VegasPete are already established and much healthier, so maybe Vegas isn’t the one to repeatedly sexually assault Porsche. Maybe the Tawan relationship wouldn’t have been romantic because Porsche’s animal counterpart would not have approved. Also the couples probably could get together quicker because soulmates). I’d absolutely love to see Porsche’s counterpart be completely knowingly ignorant of social conventions and show complete disrespect towards everyone regardless of Kinn’s efforts and little snippets of their lives before meeting
A role reversal AU where everything is the same except Porsche is the mafia head/heir and Kinn is unaffiliated (everything else about the characters are the same from age to temperament and personality). Porsche and Porchay are in the mafia and Porsche took on the role of the heir so Porchay wouldn’t have to (and Porchay, similar to Kim, is very uninvolved except when he wants to be). Porsche was kidnapped like Tankhun was and, similar to Tankhun, his resulting dramatics are a result and maybe he’s more unhinged than in canon. Kinn is just as skilled as in canon (without some specific mafia tricks) and Porsche is probably better (because he’s had more formal training and been taught the mafia heir tricks). Instead of the Tawan (Tawan would still be Kinn’s ex maybe) ex betrayal, the betrayal in Porsche’s life was when his friend or ex helped with his kidnapping and whatever else happened to him in captivity. Because the characters are different than in canon, different versions of events would probably occur. Like Kinn probably wouldn’t get drunk or drink the water so events would loosely follow canon with some edits. I’d love for Porsche and Vegas to be closer because of shared love for brothers and maybe a similarly unhinged nature (if still maybe mistrustful of each other) and for Vegas and Pete to be healthier.
A His Dark Materials/Daemon AU - similar to the idea above, I love Gehenna1986’s ideas for the daemon counterparts for each character. Canon would be the same barring the inclusion of daemons and I’d love for Pete and Vegas’ relationship to be healthier.
An AU where Porsche is Vegas’s personal bodyguard (starting when he was a teenager) and protects him from his father, becomes his best friend, and falls in love with Kinn (eventually (maybe there’s always attraction), I’d like the fanfic to follow canon relatively so starting when Porsche is 23 and maybe he still rescues Kinn except they know each other) and so the series progresses with changes as Porsche is a seasoned bodyguard at this point and wouldn’t get drunk on the job. So, a lot of the same events happen but in different ways

Quick and dirty power/structure/agency meta for y’all because my brain is going HAYWIRE at how Kinnporsche ended.
I’ve seen several posts explaining why Porsche becoming the head of the minor family isn’t the power move that it first appears (see posts from @atlasshrugd here and @deliciouswastelandgoddess here).
I fully agree. A big thematic element throughout this season has been Structure vs. Agency -- basically a question of freewill, self-determination, the ability to bring about what YOU want to happen, and the limitations that are placed on those things by the context you find yourself in (see my full KP meta of this here).
Throughout the series, we’ve seen Porsche lose more and more agency. First, as a bodyguard he is severely constrained in nearly every way. Where he can go, what he can do, what he can eat, who he can have contact with, all are limited in the extreme. Yes, Porsche technically CHOOSES to be a bodyguard, but his list of choices is pretty damn proscribed. Is it really a choice, if there are two options and one puts you on the mafia’s bad side?
He gains a bit of that back when he wins Kinn’s affection, and later gets Korn’s blessing as Kinn’s boyfriend. He gets a phone (only to call Kinn, ofc), permission to call and visit his brother, etc.
Slowly, though, Korn is amassing all these different ways of controlling Porsche’s options. Chay gets brought into the fold. We find out Korn has been keeping Porsche’s mom locked in the attic. And obviously Korn has a great deal of influence over Kinn.
In the finale, Korn makes his big power play of the season and assigns Porsche as the head of the minor family. Note that he doesn’t ASK Porsche. He simply decides, and Porsche acquiesces.
And the thing is, this COULD be Porsche gaining a good deal of agency and power! IF WE KNEW THAT PORSCHE ACTUALLY WANTED THAT POSITION (or, uhhhh, would be any good at it...).
We’re not given any insight into Porsche’s thought process. He doesn’t volunteer. We never see him debate it, waver, gladly accept. Anything.
As @yeetlegay and I have been discussing, the choice is fundamental--is this something that Porsche WANTS, and therefore accepting it is an act of agency that allows Porsche to fulfill his own desire?
Or is Porsche only accepting it because it’s what he thinks is necessary to get the other things he wants: namely Kinn, access to his mom, and protection for Chay?
Is it even really a choice, when one option has the very real potential of tearing you away from those you love?
Fundamentally, would Porsche choose to be the head of the minor family if he could keep Kinn, his mom, and Chay safe and by his side regardless of his choice?
Korn is pulling Porsche further and further into the structure, and into his game. He’s the puppet master pulling the strings, giving power over the minor family to someone he can CONTROL. He is amassing everything he needs to constrain Porsche’s agency and choices; he always had Porsche’s mom, but now he has his brother and, serendipitously for him, Kinn whom Porsche loves.
The noose is tightening, and we don’t even know if Porsche KNOWS that it is.
I think this is, actually, a BRILLIANT set-up for a second season; Porsche discovering that he’s stepping further and further into the trap. Doors are closing all around him. How much of your agency are you willing to give up, for love? How much of yourself can you stand to lose, and how much can your beloved stand to SEE you lose? Can you have both love and freewill, in this violent world?
It’s also a great parallel to what’s happening with Vegas and Pete, who have been yeeted out of the system and, in some ways, CHOSEN that (Pete by leaving the main family and Vegas by choosing to live despite being stripped of his position/power). They have a great deal of self-determination at the moment (...as long as no one drags them back in. Ohhh noooo, who would do that?? I WONDER).
I could see a nice balancing act of Vegas and Pete being drawn back into the structure/game, while Kinn and Porsche struggle to escape or at least establish their own agency. Both couples will need to cement their own power, outside of Korn’s chessboard, and it looks like a perfect narrative set up for them to do it by working together from opposite ends of the spectrum.

Note
I finally finished the chapter and I don't even know where to start because so much happened. My thoughts may be in disorder but I hope that you can follow me and provide me with answers in my analyses. First of all: it is clear that Korn is the villain of the story. He is much more dangerous and manipulative than Vegas' father, it's almost scary. We can also see how dangerous he is when we see how he feels threatened by Pete. My impression, from what I've read and what I feel, is that Pete and Vegas are a very powerful couple and partners (apart from Vegas' place as the minor family heir). Korn seems to feel extremely threatened especially since he saw the Vegas ring on Pete's finger. I don't know if you already see the end of your story but I have the feeling that a battle for Vegas and Macau to recover their heritage and their power must be fought. Besides, imagine Vegas and Pete reigning together as the head of the miner family is hot as hell and I need to know how that feels.
Vegas over drugged against him with a dangerous and highly addictive drug? Even if it's only for 3 days, you still pointed it out and I doubt it's for nothing... Knowing that Vegas is in full mourning, completely in shock at the death of his father, has barely recovered from his family's physical abuse (drugging him against his knowledge and almost killing him), not to mention the many years of trauma, gaslighting and under the influence of his father... is severance with the symptoms would be a trigger for Vegas to break down and open up to Pete about how he feels and also all his insecurities and things Pete doesn't know ? Because I have the impression that Vegas's extreme horniness (in addition to the fact that they want each other 24/7), could be a defense mechanism by Vegas to escape the thinking about dealing with the death of his father and all the wounds that it arouses in him.
I love how Pete is more open about his feelings for Vegas, he came from far away so what we have today is barely the minimum, but I don't know... he can't seem to saying it out loud that Vegas is officially his boyfriend but in this protective way of acting, the fact that he would do anything for Vegas, that he can't leave without him, that he only thinks to him, who we finally know he loves when Vegas calls him "Baby"... I can't wait to see more of them together in a domestic way, like a real couple, even in their way of express their feelings to each other... Will Pete finally let Vegas tell him he loves him? Will Pete admit to Vegas that he loves him? Or even though he resigned, he still has intense emotionnal blockages that cause him to fear hearing that he is loved? Besides, I would be curious to know where this intense fear comes from because I remember his anxiety and panic attack when Vegas told him that he could love him, or when he interrupted him in fear when Vegas was ready to say it out loud to him. I think that these details cannot be ruled out and that we still have a lot to explore regarding their two traumatized neuroses which complement each other. And we always learn more about them than the scenes where they talk together alone (and fool around in between).
I'm probably forgetting a lot of things but there's also the scene with Macau, I felt so sad for him but I love the big brother figure that Pete has become for him, the way he protects him and taking care of him is really touching! And I love Pete's grandmother, I love how she understands firsthand what's going on between Pete and Vegas and how she's suspicious while being sweet and protective (but I didn't understand who the other woman is , a friend of the grandmother?)!
Let's talk about Vegas again and how they can't have sex, I wonder what he's going to do to try to get Pete's guard down haha! I can't wait to know what's next... I'm heartbroken because I know we're going to have to wait 3 months for the next chapter but I can't wait (hoping we won't wait as long this time)
From all series and books I read your fiction is the thing I hold on the most, you saved my year last year with this
oh yeah honestly mr korn is straight up terrifying!! they need to get him out of power asap because none of them will ever be able to live happy lives otherwise
oh yes that is one hundred per cent right mr korn is threatened by their potential and their unwavering loyalty to one another. right now he can still get between kinn and porsche whenever he likes and he knows how to pit them against one another but i think hes aware that the same kind of tricks wont work on vegas and pete and i absolutely think that makes him nervous. with pete's level headedness and vegas' unstoppable determination he knows they could make an incredible team once they sort out their issues.
yes vegas is going to have a lot to contend with next chapter but im not too sure if hell be able to bridge the gap between himself an pete to let him know how hes feeling. vegas has a few things still hidden close that he doesnt share with others so itll be a question of whether hes ready to finally bridge that gap with pete and actually open up about something other than his desires for once. yes he absolutely uses sex as a distraction a lot of the time- but pete is getting very close to figuring this out as well as vegas' insecurities surrounding it- funny how a sex drought will do that- so they might be able to have some honest conversations. the biggest thing vegas is worried about i think is pity, hed rather be hated than pitied which is where most of his abrasive behaviours come from (and why hes so terrified of pete's grandma- because shes even more intuitive than pete, she looks right at him and knows what hes made of and pities him for it)
oh yes for sure there is definitely way more to be addressed from petes end too of course in terms of his trauma at both his father and vegas' hands, his reluctance to admit to anything serious or long term with vegas when his actions speak against him and also his fear of being loved. they also need to come back to the sexual elements of their relationship that namely pete has been avoiding- and that needs to be confronted too before they can go forward. theres definitely a lot more work needed!
aw yeah pete looking out for him is so sweet!! he is kind of like a big brother too! im looking forward to writing more of their interactions!! oh yeah shes just a friend of pete's grandmother. shes strikes me as the kind of person whod have a lot of friends (which is also part of the reason pete didnt feel as guilty leaving her to go to bangkok in the first place tbh)
ah yes thats going to put them in a tricky spot because so much of their relationship and dynamic revolves around sex!! theyre going to be forced to confront a lot of things that the sex and physical intimacy has been helping to cover up or distract them from. it will be interesting for sure.
I very much doubt itll be three months wait! just had too much going on the last few months what with getting covid, then walking pneumonia two weeks later followed by christmas family shenanigans and then a road trip for a couple weeks in Jan so i just really didnt had the time or energy for writing unfortunately! but im on some stronger antibiotics now (which apparently make me burn very easily in the sun???? what) and im feeling loads better.
will probably be a month-ish wait depending on how i go but i mean i still work full time and i do need to look after myself and have a social life and stay alive on top of spending a lot of my time writing this for free so ive got to have some balance too!!
but honestly if i rushed through it im not sure it would be the same quality or level of enjoyment that im having right now so theres that to consider too!
oh wow that really means so much to me you have no idea! like honestly writing this story really made last year so much more wonderful and bearable than it already was (and last year was a pretty shitty year for me ill admit)
i do really hope that youll enjoy the rest when i get to writing and posting it!

Kinn Being The Dominant Of Kinnporsche Ep 2-4 Part One
This is dedicated to: my whores that I adore, the unhinged, my darlings, my brats, and the coconuts. Because they specially requested this after the ask the other day. Fair warning: This is gonna be long. I was assured however, that my lovelies would read it. Anything that I question might not be Dom, might just be a norm move with dominate traits, will not be added to this.
Oh @iffervescent have I told you hoe much I adore you? You guys. I totally surprised her with this piece and she brought it. Say a huge thank you to iffy for the brat companion found here!
Tumblr media
I'm going to start from Episode 2 with the choke. Why? Because in my opinion the choke is where everything started for both of them. Prior there had been attraction on Kinn's part and amusement but it was how Porsche acted after the choke that solidified his feelings. There is a rare, combined feeling of achievement, accomplishment, and thrill to earning the trust of a brat. Make no bones, Porsche had been a full-on brat up to this point, but Kinn delighted in winning his respect. This is also where Porsche started having feelings, but this blog is about Kinn. This is also where the Dom moment's really start. "It's alright. Keep practicing, one day you'll be good at it" Is a Dom gentle correction mixed with praise. I'm proud of you for trying but you must keep trying.
Tumblr media
Episode 3 actually shows a few Dom moments in my opinion. Starting with Kinn walking in on the porn. He could have easily walked behind the couch and said something to Porsche. Rather than act like a boss though, Kinn acted like a Dom. This was a minor fun brat move and worth indulging. Then noticing Porsche's discomfort at the man being beaten, Kinn has Pete take Porsche out. If it were any other employee, he would have felt they needed to suck it up. It's Porsche though, Porsche who never wanted to be in this world. So Kinn's protective Dom feelings kicked up a notch. Kinn then pulled Porsche out of the way, protecting him. There were other bodyguards that he has known longer but he protected Porsche. Asking Porsche if he is okay. He never asked Big that when he got shot. Somewhere between the choke and all the brat moves by Porsche, Kinn has solidified his feelings. While bathing, Kinn recognizes this and his drive as a Dom requires for him to care for his submissive. He has a sub right there but there a far different set of responsibilities that come with recognizing a submissive, as yours. Kinn says "This place belongs to me. Do I have to tell you everywhere I go, huh" this might strike you as a bad Dom moment but it's not, it's just establishing Dominancy to someone who isn't recognizing it. It's a power play move. I wouldn't make if I didn't know for sure someone was submissive but we are talking a show here. I have however, personally used similar moves. Notice, Porsche did respond in the manner that Kinn wanted, he submitted. We aren't here to talk about Porsche though.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Alright, let's dive into Episode 4. The first time I would say that I see Kinn acting like a Dom in this episode is in the sauna. When he says "Wait, sit down" as a boss he has no reason to do this. This is clearly a Dom move, establishing authority. Furthermore, he doesn't wait to see if Porsche does it, he just expects it to be done. Kinn feeding himself first before anyone else is a very Dom Daddy move. In this case I would say that he just showed everyone at the table who has the biggest dick. I've mentioned before that there is a difference between a sub giving food and a Dom providing food. It's in the body language and tone. Vegas was very much a Dom providing food, and Kinn was not having it. I don't want to talk about Porsche, but I do want to point out that Porsche immediately looked at Kinn recognizing his authority here. Kinn overruling was not a boss move, him straight up going "No" was absolutely a Dom move. He shouldn't have explained himself though, it should not have needed any discussion since it wasn't questioned. Everything that Kinn did with rent boy was showing his Dominance, he pulled him over and just gestured for what he wanted. There are times when a Dom won't be serviced first, like an apology or the Dom just feels like spoiling their sub but there is a body language to it. With rent boy he is absolutely demanding his pleasure first. I will say the way he avoided the rent boy's kiss was very much a gentle correction. Clear objection without intensity. Moving to Kinn catching Porsche eating, the whole damn thing screamed Dominance. The "stand up" and if you notice when Porsche does, Kinn gives a little smile. He's been conditioning and we are now to a point where it's just done. "Take your shirt off" and Porsche says no, so Kinn comes down hard with the repercussions. I pulled a similar move just yesterday; a brat is going to push buttons and you must decide if it's because of discomfort or being a brat. When a brat submits, it should be automatic praise. Subs have a praise kink, and they need to know you appreciate them. The fact that Kinn checked on the wound was not enough and then to degrade. That was a shit Dom move and should not be tolerated by a sub. Unless your D/s relationship has a much harsher degrading element. Brats are not that type of sub though. Then we get to the point of Kinn and Porsche in the hotel room, Kinn ordering the guards away was in every way a Dom taking care of their sub. Normal boss behavior would have been to take any help offered, even a normal boyfriend would still take any help offered. He's sub is hurt though, he doesn't know who to trust, so he trusts himself.

The way he loves
I’ve wondered why vegas never counted macau when he said he had nothing left. I think I know now.
“Everything that I love left me”— has mostly been Vegas’s experience. Let’s see what his ideas about love are to get a clearer picture.
1. The hedgehog
Tumblr media
Those who have a pet would know that pets might seem like an insignificant part of life to many, but they are actually your family. You love them. You have a sense that there is someone there. There is someone on your side. You are their support in return, you provide for them.
When the hedgehog died, he expresses that it left like everything (everyone) he loved, his mom, his other pets.
Pete in response says, “you still have macau”.
2. Macau
Tumblr media
The problem is macau, to vegas, is not part of his support system. Macau is his little brother, someone he has to protect. Someone he has to love. Not someone he can receive love from. To truly love and be loved, you have to show your true side to someone. And while he has loved macau, he has never truly shown his true side to him. Hiding the abuse, the stress, the burden and possibly protecting him from their father’s true thoughts about them. Macau didn’t have the full picture. So vegas can’t really look to him for anything, except the innocent, unassuming love and affection of a baby brother.
(Doesn’t mean macau can’t love him or can’t support him, this is more about how vegas thinks and his idea of love)
He never considers that love to be reciprocated, especially not in the way that he gives it. Even though, we all know that it probably is. Regardless, vegas cannot be “weak” in front of him. Which also means not showing any sort of emotion, especially sadness or vulnerability. It is also why he reacted so strongly to Pete saying he’s “sensitive”. He was aware that he was, but he thought he was doing a good job of not showing it because it’s a weakness. To him, at least.
3. His father
Tumblr media
As much of an asshole his father was. It’s very clear that vegas loved him. At least to the outside world, his father’s name was a protection. It was shade.
Even though he beat vegas. He kept the world at a distance. Because of his father, he wasn’t left vulnerable to the world.
So the next time he says “there’s nothing left”. He’s grieving the loss of his father who he loved and who has now left him.
He gave his love to his father by doing his bidding, by giving what he could to him as his son. With his father’s death, it’s another love, as fucked up as it was, taken away.
Everything he loves, leaves him. Proved right, yet again.
4. Pete
Tumblr media
“I’m right here.” Pete says to vegas. Vegas is probably not in the best headspace at this moment. But vegaspete went through a lot in the safe house. Vegas learnt a lot, and while pete left him, he had also stayed. Pete taught him a different way to think. I’m pretty sure if the whole part with pete voluntarily coming back and staying had not happened. Vegas would not have listened to anything pete was saying in this moment. Pete staying when he was literally down on the ground, grieving, crying, being vulnerable, was a big moment of realisation to him. A realisation of what actual love and support felt like, what it meant to rely on someone. It was also a realisation that settled in through time, till he understood what loving pete meant, which was a more selfless kind of love than the one he displayed at the safe house.
(I feel like I sound like a broken record, but I just want to make it clear that it was a huge thing for vegas to feel any inkling of tenderness and gentleness)
Pete left his job, almost-family and friends and chose vegas, although I doubt vegas had any idea about it in this moment. (He didn’t see pete resigning)
I’m pretty sure by this point he loved pete but didn’t expect anything in return.
Then again at the hospital scene he says, that “he has nothing”. That “he didn’t want to be a burden”. Because to him love is giving, but never his true self. Love was giving things to others, providing what he could, and to have them in a way, rely on him— for his father, his pets, his brother.

So when he says, “I got nothing left”, he’s saying that he has nothing to give to pete. He’s just vegas now. Not vegas, the minor family heir, the mafia lord, kinn’s rival, etc. Things that, according to him, gave him value. To him, it would make sense, if pete ran. And he’s ok with letting him go, because he loves him. His love isn’t greedy anymore, or possessive. It’s freeing, to him and to the one he loves.
But pete, being pete, again shows him another side of love. A type of love where, vegas is on the receiving end. He knew this since the safe house and he also said it to vegas when he did the personality test thing. Vegas needs love.
Tumblr media
Pete shows vegas, that he loves vegas, not for what he can give or what he can do. He just loves vegas. And I think many have made great posts about how pete was only conflicted with his love for vegas because he didn’t think vegas loved him back. He thought vegas was just using him for emotional projection and was attached to him.
But then vegas said he loved him. In the middle of chaos. When it was clear that there is a very big chance vegas might not make it. Vegas still said it because he just wanted pete to know. He didn’t even expect him to say it back or love him back.
Tumblr media
That was all pete needed I think.
They are both giving when they love, now they both had someone giving it to them without expecting it in return. What a wonderful mindfuck for both of them. I won’t go in detail about pete and his viewpoint since there are posts about it already and because mine is focused on vegas.
Anyway, in conclusion, we have pete saying that he’s just following his heart— vegas. Him following vegas is him following his heart. And by this point I believe vegas knows about pete leaving everything. So technically, pete doesn’t “have anything” either. It’s just vegas and pete, as real and true, as they can get with each other.
(Vegas is his heart omfg pete you absolute sap *cries*)
Tumblr media
And then vegas, finally gets what pete is saying and responds in his classic way of giving love— that while he only has himself to give, he does it fully, completely, in the only way he has ever known. In vegas style, he declared that pete is the most important person in his life. (He’s so relentless with his love, I love it)
Tumblr media
He has someone he can give his love to, and also someone who will love him right back. He has someone who has seen him at his worst, someone he can rely on, and lean on. It’s a give and give love, that they both deserve. Not something that he got from anyone ever before. And that is why he kept saying he had nothing and no one left— he might’ve been loved before but it was never in a way where he felt loved.
Everything he loved left him, but not this time.
He loved pete and pete stayed.
