Welcome, archaeological Japanists, to the second chapter of prehistoric Japan and continue touring its mythological and magical places. Once that has been said, put in commands and let's begin.
-
To continue our journey, better late than never but slowly and with good handwriting. We move to Kuromatayama, a pyramid-shaped mountain, located on the Nakadori Plateau in the Towada Oyu district of the city of Kazuno, Akita Prefecture.
-
In the 1992s, an academic survey was conducted and as a result, although this mountain is currently covered with earth, it was found to be an artificial structure of about 7 to 10 levels reaching from the base to the top. Additionally, a cavity was found 10 meters below the summit, and it is very likely that someone is buried there. -
I hope you liked it and see you in future posts my lovers of the Japanese world, have a good week.

At that time when the werewolves came to the Sims4, none of our five household members wanted to be a werewolf.

So, in order to enjoy the world of the werewolves, we invited Rue into our household for live together.
However, two of his traits, kleptomaniac and romantic, which were considered problematic in our household, were changed to cheerful and creative by a trait resetting drug.

-
英語の文法構造はSVO(Subject-Verb-Object)で動詞が先に来るのに対し、日本語はSOV(Subject-Object-Verb)で動詞が最後に来る。
Part 2: Reasons why the Japanese will never be good at English: Welcome, Japanese archaeologists, to a new instalment, this time we are talking about English in Japan, so make yourselves comfortable and let's get started.
-
Why the Japanese have a hard time with English more than one will surprise you, it takes the Japanese around 500 hours to learn English from scratch to reach beginner level; however, it takes around 250 hours to learn Korean or Indonesian to the same beginner level. One of the reasons why Japanese people are not good at English is because of pronunciation, this is a fact.
-
The grammatical structure of English is: SVO (Subject-Verb-Object) where the verb comes first, while in Japanese, SOV (Subject-Object-Verb) where the verb comes last. Also, sentence structure differs between English and Japanese, English is very strict about word order. In Japanese we use about 120 words in one minute of normal conversation. English uses about 1.5 times as many words, which is why Japanese people feel they speak English faster. For example, the Japanese word "personality" has three phonemes. When it comes to English, we need five phonemes: pa/so/na/li/ti, and to convey the same information, we need to speak faster. The reason why Japanese people find it difficult to listen to and speak English is probably because they are required to use skills they do not normally use.

I hope you like it and see you in future posts, have a good week.
At Kishibe Cafe, the owner takes a different approach to understanding the theme of authenticity, history and memory represented in the exhibition.
It is likely that human beings can only spot their own memories and histories through perceiving the shimmering light emitted from the glow of flames. The light, hence, is partially formed through the collision between time and consciousness. Such light does not shine like the Sun, which burns distantly, eternally, and even illuminates fairly and graciously for the public; you cannot reject the Sun! Nonetheless, the reality of free-thinking should be considered as the resistance to violence; as a result, the self that is shaped and located by memories and histories does not belong to the Sun. Rather, the self is constructed by the practice of accepting and rejecting. As the temporal fragments are accordingly discovered, suspected, archived, understood, or rejected; memories related to the particular ones are subsequently created and articulated.
Kishibe Café has arranged various exciting events throughout the year of 2023. Every single event in itself is, of course, a memory per se. However, for the venue of Kishibe Café, everything transforms into memories and histories for itself. While the 2023 retrospective exhibit showcases the significant practice of accepting and rejecting, it does not aim to re-display the content from the past; instead, it truthfully re-elucidates the elements from the past. Namely, the reconstruction of multiple elements is what memories can rely on and how trusts can be established.
The exhibition begins with a series of photos of a car that crashes into the cafe in reverse and plows into the motorcycles beside the sidewalk with the floor covered with fragments of glass. The people who were involved in this event, including the owner, the staff member, the driver, the neighbors, and the passersby, are included and archived in the photos; moreover, the photographer was the police officer who came to take dictations. The photos might not be the first visual records archived by Kishibe Cafe, but they turn out to be the representation of a collective memory. On the one hand, the photos entail the theme of this exhibition– “In a Cafe;” on the other hand, they delineate the connections and relations between our cafe and other people: a serendipitous “crash-into.”
It is difficult to articulate events happening in the linear passage of time. In particular, most daily-life events are driven in a way that is similar to our decisions on what’s for dinner; we especially tend to worry about what to have for dinner, but we will forget about such struggles afterwards. As daily-life events are inevitable and necessary, the unusual and fascinating events are the anchors of memory that adhere to your everyday life. The two kinds of events are intertwined and can only be disclosed by means of element reconstruction. The real history that assembles your memories is intrinsically related to your own self. The organizer of the exhibition (Claire Huang) unravels the authenticity of Kishibe Cafe. For all the participants (whether they are the staff members, the regular or new customers), the exhibition offers each of them to ruminate over their own memories and flashbacks. After all, a cafe is an ordinary and aura-less place that exists in your life. It will never be like the Sun. It will be an entity that embodies the qualities of being soft, inclusive, or even absurd, chaotic, and irrational.
Past, present, future, and, all in between.
I construct the city like kind of mental panoramic landscape.
The sea acts as a mirror to reflect the conditions of human beings.
What is the influence of the landscapes we encounter in the construction of our personality and our regard ? Our Identities are in constant change through Time and Space, formed by the personal experience of each of us. Are our drifts similar to those of the continents : imperceptible but powerful movements causing flaws and encounters, fusions but also disappearances of lands ?
Through images and sounds, I hope to bring spectator’s attention to various different subjects, such as nostalgia, nomadism, displacement, psygeography, pursuit after one’s utopia, heterotopia.
I try to guide the spectator on journey of experience through varied sounds and sights, arousing a deeply layered sense of alienation and giving the spectator’s conscience the chance to interact with the exterior world, producing a continually expanding shock and reverberation.
The series of audio are a composition between daily life soundscapes and personal memories of songs and poems. The soundtrack prolong the vision and enlarge the field of the video. It extended the atmosphere of the video and further bring the spectator into an unsettling environment, of an “Uncanny” experience.
………
