It is currently 6 weeks, or 42 days, until Super Mario RPG comes out, 4 weeks or 28 days until WarioWare: Move It!, and 2 weeks or 14 days until Super Mario Bros. Wonder.

No fun facts tonight, sorry. But at the same time, this day feels... strangely beautiful? I'm pretty sure this is the first time in the countdown that the days synced up like this. It's two weeks until Wonder, two more until Wario, and two more until RPG. You understand?

It is currently 1 week, yes, ONE WEEK, 7 days, until Super Mario Bros. Wonder comes out!

It's also 21 days until WarioWare: Move It!, and 35 days until Super Mario RPG.

As well, it's Fun Fact Friday!

Buckle up, this one is a doozy.

So, we all know that there's at least three Super Mario Bros. games: SMB1, SMB2 (either For Super Players or USA, your pick), and SMB3. As well, in Japan, Super Mario World is subtitled Super Mario Bros. 4.

Here's where things get interesting.

Yoshi's Island is subtitled Super Mario World 2, so you can probably work out the next point already, but the gigaleak prototype instead had the subtitle Super Mario Bros. 5. (Yes, it's in Japanese, but I trust TCRF on this.)

This brings us to the Super Mario Advance series, which remade all five Super Mario Bros. games... except the original. Of course, since the Game Boy Advance is backwards compatible, Nintendo found it redundant to make another remake of SMB1 when the console can already play Super Mario Bros. Deluxe.

However, in the gigaleak, there are unused voice lines for Super Mario Advance, including Mario and friends announcing the game as "Super Mario Bros. Deluxe 2" and "Super Mario Bros. 2 Deluxe", confirming that Deluxe and the Advance games are one series.

(I speculate that the games were released in the order they were [2, World, YI, 3] so that they'd be in increasing order of additional content [Egg hunt and bonus coins, Luigi, six extra courses, e-Reader shenanigans] but that's neither here nor there.)

This brings us to the original New Super Mario Bros., which was developed as a successor to the Super Mario Advance series, making it the sequel to the Super Mario Bros. pentology, making it Super Mario Bros. 6.

Now we're at Super Mario Bros. Wonder, the first Super Mario Bros. game to use the Super Mario Bros. moniker since the start of the New Super Mario Bros. series. Therefore, since Wario Land 2 isn't considered Mario Land 4, the New Super Mario Bros. series are considered their own separate thing, making Super Mario Bros. Wonder the sequel to Mario Bros. 6, meaning...

Super Mario Bros. Wonder is the true Mario 7.
