what have been the BLs that took you by surprise this year?

probably ghost host ghost house and my only 12%. ghgh was really not on my radar up until right before it aired but i wanted to check it out for tod and ended up loving it & everything it had to say about grief, loss and moving on

for my only 12%... i’m typically not much into high school bls these days bc they just don’t resonate with me but oh my GOD it was so poignant and well done it’s one of my faves of the year

what has been the BL that you felt a bit disappointed with this year?

love at 9/oh my sunshine. ugh i was so excited for ohmfluke to finally have another full length series together and it was just a complete disappointment. peterpan and noh as phayu and rain were the only good thing to come out of that show

what has been you favorite BL this year?

my top 5 (in no particular order) for this year stands at:

you’re my sky, vice versa, blueming, my only 12% and to my star 2

honorable mentions to: ghgh, dear doctor i’m coming for soul and my secret love

my fave irl bl pairings are: maxtul, kaoup and ohmfluke. jimmysea have also absolutely come for my life this year

what's your non-BL favorite this year?

Ohhh there’s lots to choose from but If You Wish Upon Me, Twenty Five Twenty One, Extraordinary Attorney Woo and Falling Into You are definitely at the top

oooh this is interesting!! It took me a while to dig up the post from last year haha but oh boi a lot has happened since then djfkhsd

so I would love to do an updated version! 💜

1. NubsibGene - “count to ten” - Lovely Writer ep12

do I need to add anything? these 2 own everything that I am and more and this scene has to be number 1. Everything about it was so well done and also what a kiss dkjfhs. Iconic.

2. ChengRen - "does your head hurt?" - HIStory4 ep7

that scene is so sweet aahhhhh I miss them so much 😭 It's the first scene after they got together and it transports all the shyness and awkwardness SO WELL like wow. It feels so personal and their chemistry is unreal. I love it.

3. SeojoonJiwoo - "shall we find out?" - To My Star ep9

no comment just screams lmao. I still love them an abnormal amount and this entire scene was SO CUTE and also the first decent kiss we got from a korean bl lol. yes I'm looking at you, @ WYEL & friends jkhfds

4. ShideShuyi - "You're the bravest person" - deleted scene from We Best Love: Fighting Mr. 2nd ep4

This is by far my favorite scene from this entire series and I will never forgive them for deleting it jkfhkd like wtf. There's more love, chemistry and emotions in those 5 minutes than in some 12 ep-dramas lmao. I adore this moment so much, it's so sweet and loving and I prefer that cheek kiss over some other kissing scenes tbh lol.

5. KhaiThird - "can you forget what happened?" - Theory of Love ep10

I had to leave this in from last time because I still love it so much 🥺 I miss them a lot and I need Not Me asap.

+ bonus: TharnType - "have you forgiven me?" - TharnType2 ep2

I know a lot of ppl hated this season and I agree to some extent but overall I still liked it lol. This is a scene that doesn't have much depth but that I thought was very nicely done. I like the casual setting and since this post is about kissing,,, they're just really good at it what can I say 🤷��‍♀️ lol.
