“Stand By Me” was written by Ben E. King, Jerry Leiber, and Mike Stolle in 1961. In 2010, Big Mean Carl (Bill Barretta) sang the song for a video posted to the Muppets YouTube page. In the video, Big Mean Carl is dressed as a giant bunny and eats a bunch of smaller rabbits who end up joining in on the song while in Carl’s stomach. There’s no clear record of who voiced/puppeteered the bunnies, but I’m pretty sure the lead singing rabbit is Steve Whitmire.
