We have the original Blueprints for the Chairman!

We've had this information since the 26th ARG, but I haven't seen anyone talk about this. Ramblings and pictures under the cut

I was reading through the MMO Central Forums when the ARG was running, and came across a thread by user Sir Kids Nickelton

In the thread, they were sharing theories, clues, and solved cyphers for the ARG, and pointed this out:

Now if anyone knows anything about me, I am obsessed with any loree surrounding the Chairman. So I rounded up the six Blueprints, constructed them like the Pieces of Exodia, and recreated the sketch to the best of my ability. Here are the Blueprints and my thoughts:

The glove-like hands from the installer cutscene are still there, and he was originally built with a smile. Almost confirming he was built with some level of Tooniness. Given how he acts now, its implied that The Chairman either repressed this, or removed the Silliness from himself entirely

Also carrying over from the installer video is the Chairman's sheer height. He takes up SIX SHEETS of paper for goofiness's sake. Scrooge came up to the bottom of The Chairman's knee, and thanks to the Carl Banks comic For Old Dime's Sake, we know Scrooge is about three feet/One meter tall. If this sketch is to be believed, the Chairman stands at approximately twelve feet/four meters tall.

Deviating from the video, This Chairman appears to only have a singular antenna, with what looks like a satellite dish at the end. Considering the video depicts The Chairman apparently "talking" through his antennae, maybe this is implying that he talks to the rest of the Cogs through this dish.

Most interestingly, there appears to be a massive cavity in The Chairman's chest where a heart should be. This is the only Major design detail unique to Toontown Rewritten, and is very likely intrinsic to the story the team wants to tell.

All in All, this is a fascinating find that I'm surprised more people haven't been talking about. Ive included the Raw blueprints without my restoration attempt to see if anyone else notices something that I didn't. In the meantime, I'm tempted to go back to the forums to see if there's anything else we've missed or forgot...

besides acorn acres + chip n dales minigolf pretty much being the same playground (as in the minigolf entrances being in acorn acres itself) in my story, im trying to decide whether some of the other neighborhoods should be adjusted in terms of where they connect to in a way that i think would make more sense, or if they should be kept the same as they are in ttr

i made a diagram for what toontown's map would look like if the neighborhood connection adjustments were canon to my story

minnie's melodyland would connect to cashbot hq instead of the brrrgh, donalds dreamland would connect to bossbot hq instead of cashbot hq, daisy gardens + minnies melodyland would connect to each other, and the brrrgh + donalds dreamland would connect to each other

some street placements would still change as well

punchline place would be in silly street's current spot, silly street would be in loopy lane's current spot, loopy lane would be in punchline place's current spot

walrus way would be in sleet street's current spot, sleet street would be in polar place's current spot, polar place would be in walrus way's current spot

seaweed street + lighthouse lane would swap spots with each other, elm street + maple street would swap spots with each other, tenor terrace + baritone boulevard would swap spots with each other

Finding out I still had time to get the Halloween exclusive goodies I went out of my way to fish for materials and jellybeans while I still could

hmm, does anyone have anything that lists all the main storyline/taskline quests + their dialogue? i would love to re-read though them again for lore reasons. i know theres that one work in progress timeline document, but im looking for in-game main tasklines any player can see while they play. i can figure out the side stuff like the arg things and comics myself...

(long rambley explanation below that im putting under the cut because i know otherwise nobody will interact with this post)

(this is mostly for ocs, even if they don't follow the main storyline lore exactly - i would still like to know any and all details about the world the toons talk about so i can make things accurate and be able to talk about certain details... and get ideas from reading certain things. even though the lore in cogs only we have is... uh. lets just say this thing could never ever be canon but yknow HAHA)

and like... i do have a million damn screenshots, some of them taken purely to save certain dialogue that i look at RARELY (bc i forget i took these screenshots). and i dont wanna go through videos of people playing the game, i don't like doing that... but the wiki doesn't seem to list the dialogue anywhere, or i may just be looking in the wrong place?

because with so many main line quests you will forget a few things, and of course skip over dialogue when you're trying to do things quickly... with some things being related to the story and some being not...

so i would just really love to look over the main stuff again. ofc, side quests are apprecited too, but im looking for the main thing. gets a bit hard to figure out world stuff when you unfortunately never played tto becuse you didnt know it existed, and ttr's lore is very different from ttcc and honestly i dont even know what they got going on there anymore, i never paid attention to it even when i played ttr because honestly i cant give a fuck about disney characters outside their actual source material-

So I'm quite behind in starkid lore (haven't seen most of nightmare time or npmd yet), and have learned about the friends of wiggly mainly through tumblr posts but I have to ask. Do you know if they are only in the hatchetfield shows? Because the blinky one, the watcher? That has such tto vibes (they're always watching etc.)

So, The Lords In Black are more or less* only in the Hatchetfield shows

We obviously see Wiggly in Black Friday, and we learn A LOT more about them as individuals throughout Nightmare Time - it is well worth watching regardless but especially if you want that Lore™️

Sidenote: plus, the more people watch/rewatch Nightmare Time on YT, the higher chance of us getting NMT3, which would be pro-shot like short films instead of zoom call readings!!!!

And, I’m guessing you’ve already seen the pics and gifs, but they all show up in NPMD at one point

Well, Yes and No. TTO was not written or intended to be a part of The Hatchetfield Saga, but in response to this exact question in a Q&A after NMT1 dropped, Nick said this:

"The only way I could see it working is if The Trail To Oregon, the play, was a play that existed within Hatchetfield that was put on at the Starlight Theatre"

And I'm paraphrasing there, 'cause it was a while ago, but that's the gist — if TTO and Hatchetfield are connected it's because TTO is a fictional play within Hatchetfield, same as Santa Claus Is Going To Highschool

Whether it's a harmless reference to a previous SK play, or the actor playing Jack Bauer in TTO genuinely saw Blinky, is up to the us, the audience to decide.

I believe the majority of the fandom do accept this retcon headcanon that TTO was in fact a play put on at the Starlight Theatre, and it exists as a fiction within the Hatchetfield universe

Some character concepts I draw for my fic The Mysterious Flame of King Firan [中文/ENG] based on King of the Dead.

The fic is inspired by Planescape: Torment and The Prague Cemetery by Umberto Eco. I'm a huge fan of both, especially PST (you can check out my ao3 profile), and I loved the depiction of incarnations, amnesia, and paganism in those. I always wanted to write something after I finished reading KOTD and LOTN because Firan and Darcalus reminded me a bit of TNO and TTO. I created a language based on real life linguistic theories and Darkon lore, with its very own evolution, although I haven't translated that interesting part into English yet.

Sorry for the ramble in your inbox incoming- I'm a really huge fan of your analysis type posts like the ones about Cathal and recently Flint ;A; So I hope its ok to maybe throw in my own 2 cents about Cogs/their society- (Sorry this gets rambly I thought about this last night and writing this like an hour after waking up lol)

I think what alot of people kind of (I wouldnt say ignore- more of:) don't really get is that I dont believe characters like Cathal or Flint have bad tendencies because they really want to in a way, (I kind of worded that poorly but point is) but because their society rewards and encourages that type of behavior. I think you said something kind of similar on Cathals post- But especially for Flint, whose a Bossbot (Who are literally the embodiment of a toxic workplace and elitism. I believe a old snippet from the TTO magazines says "They have no real skills of their own, just the ability to push down others and stay on top!" Or something to that nature.) he has to be demanding and imposing. There is no benefit to him in being kind. (Like looking at Misty for example) And don't get me wrong I don't believe that if Flint and Cathal were removed from Cog society they'd be better/objectively nicer (Like Flint not being condescending to Toons and Cathal not making people do things for him and being encouraged to try) But I do wonder how much of it is pressure, or how much of it is egged on and rewarded. Atleast in the aspects it relates to how they treat others.

(..And also I wonder what happens to Cogs that don't get jobs and are seen as ..not functioning. Since Graham was freaking the hell out in "Meeting Of Two Minds" over the possibility of not getting the job. I have a whole thing about this actually in my oc lore but thats another thing entirely I'll write about someday I swear)

Also I gasped when I saw the doodle of Graham in the MSI shirt finally a MSI listener Graham truther. I think he'd like the album "How I Learned To" and of course "You'll Rebel To Anything". I associate him mainly with the songs "Lights Out", "On It", and "You're No Fun Anymore" :p (This has been my favorite band since I was like 13 and now I get to spill all my opinions xD) I always imagined him doing the guitar backbend their bassist does! And my final hc is that Flint plays bass and Graham plays the main guitar. I think it fits them .. some people overlook bass when its actually pretty hard to learn from what I hear and vital to the song. (Like heres Feel Good Inc w/o the bass.. feels wrong x_x)

THe biggest issue with Cogs Inc is that it REWARDS and ENCOURAGES these poor behaviors, worsening these characters as people. ESPECIALLY cathal considering the position of power they’re in. I’m sure it applies to a ton of other cogs too, but unfortunately I haven’t gotten to them yet bc I’m not as insane abt them . LMAO

And yeah since cogs are literally built for work, it’s a wonder what happens to those who can’t find a job as easily as others. Hoping that gets built on since it’s clear in MOTM that these cogs have to actually apply and go to interviews and probably face some trial and error to land a job, just like people IRL.

ALSO. THE BAND HCS. I love it and you’re SOOOO RIGHT about the backbend that is so grahamcore. And yes I’m pretty sure Flint does play bass, I think his creator mailman said smth abt that on their blog . AND IM SO GLAD YOU BROUGHT UP FEEL GOOD INC bc i did draw flint in a demon days shirt in that same animatic . And ive def drawn them in the same shirt a couple times in the past too . I’ve always imagined him to be a Gorillaz fan, maybe graham too

guess who was late to the dsmp stage play convo

Honestly the stage play visions are so wild! It can be so beautiful either big budget or low budget in props, costume, and VFX. These are what I could come up with so far.

Michaelmcchill is in the orchestra pit. He's one of the few people who can interact with both the audience and the players, with the restriction being that he rarely gets the chance to do the interacting at all. When he does, it's worth it though. He adds and comments but nothing more, too afraid to genuinely change the course, at least alone anyway. Think Starkid's use of Clark Baxtresser in a few of their musicals (like, Firebringer, Ani, or TTO)

Purpled is decked out in light-up sketchers, hoodie or tux on. He has a lot of glow-in-the-dark shit going on in the costume that the stage has to dim a little whenever he enters the forefront. He has glow-in-the-dark face paint on too, with a plastic but flashy light saber toy. His lighting style is all neons and techy shit, which distinguishes him from all the other glowy people that read as more ethereal and supernatural. Instead of spitting up ketchup during his death scene, it's neon purple paint.

Callahan is a stagehand who doesn't stay backstage but just sits with the audience. He hands out free shit if asked politely. He is called onstage to the crowds delight during his times of spotlight.

Egg lore staged would have to match the energy of a Hatchetfield musical. Yes, the Egg is a fucking cardboard cut out but the lighting and the prerecorded voices from the speakers make it nonetheless sinister. The Eggheads wear glowing red eye contacts, as well as a bit of face paint beside the costume changes. That one Egg stream where Bad reveals his state to chat is him monologuing to the audience, dramatically ripping away his cloak to reveal the bleached one, cackling evilly before the lights dim.

Slimecicle's skin is body painted green. He comically throws goops of green DIY slimes everytime he enters, moves around, and exits the stage. Some of them have toy bones in there and some lucky audience members can get and keep them. He still acts his heart out like in canon.

Everyone gets a burger served to them during the burger arc! Some chairs have Tubburger, some are Wilburger. There is one McPuffy's burger.

Foam M!necraft weapons for everybody except the plot relevant props, which are more realistic-looking objects. Like, the Axe of Peace vs a player's prop axe.

Technoblade is dressed like this. Just add king garb.

All the horses are those horse-head-on-a-stick props. They are colored according to the in-game horse with their name taped onto their faces. When a horse is ridden, they will be ridden right.

Weednip is those edible seaweed sheets. Antfrost, fursuit on, would have a lighter in his pocket and smoke the rolled-up sheets in the bg of a scene where he was canonically present at.

Chat as audience can speak throughout the show, though are only acknowledged when acknowledged in the canon. Otherwise, sometimes the yelling takes on the energy of Rocky Horror callouts. The latter is most evident whenever Techno is onstage.

Infodump about Felix

Appearance rambles:

Even though he's covered in enby pride flags, Felix as a character isn't enby. I'm just projecting my pride onto his design since he's one of my main fursonas + he looks amazing in it

The pride flag on his backpack comes from a content pack someone named Trick made for me a long time ago. I asked for the texture to be changed and said surprise me, and that's what I got. I've kept it as his canon design since.

That also inspired me to add more enby flags to his design, which were added in with content packs {except the one on his shorts}.

The shirt and shorts are the ones they are 80% because I literally didn't know what else to wear and 20% because I actually thought it looked cool. Actually, that's... a lot of his outfit.

I got the shoes during ToonFest 2023 when all the previous codes became public. They look terrible on him and do not fit his color palette or aesthetic. I love them <3

He used to be a tall Toon, but I wanted to look closer in appearance to someone else's Toon so I changed him to a medium height Toon. He also used to be completely orange, but I gave him coral legs because I thought it was something I was obligated to do for being high laff because I saw all the high laff Toons with different colored legs. Past me, sweetie, those were elitists... but it's okay because now I love the coral legs and don't think they're an abomination!

Basically, he's very much thrown together from outside influences and I wouldn't change it for anything now because it became his "brand"

OC lore rambles:

So once upon a time a Toon named Ghostly Felix glitched so bad that his immersion in the world was completely broken and he realized he was in a video game. This was exciting at first and he hacked in max everything, cheated to be invisible so he could hilariously kill bosses with just bike horns or something, ETC.

But after a few years he got bored and basically started pondering his existence. So he created a Toon named Felix so he could be invisible and watch him complete the game so he'd have something to do. When just Felix was boring, he made Cap'n Felix, Doctor Felix, Mr. Felix, Judge Felix, Midnight Felix, Spooky Felix, Frozen Felix, Lucky Felix, Fairy Felix, Prince Felix... you get the idea.

Well, on the day Felix reached 140 laff he found Ghostly Felix by a weird glitch. At first Felix thought he was a new Felixverse addition, but realized that Ghostly Felix already had 140 laff and was acting really scared for some reason. Finally, Ghostly Felix spilled the beans about the fact it was a game and how he created the Felixverse

Felix was horrified to find out he was right, and he instantly got pretty bummed out and asked what the point of his existence is.

Eventually, this was his answer: "To have fun. You don't need to spend so long thinking about it or making it complicated- it really is that simple."

Other rambles:

His name is Felix because when I first played TTR, I tried to name him Shaun because that was my name at the time. It was instantly denied, so naive me thought "too many Toons must have that name already" and picked a random pick-a-name. I didn't expect to really get attached to my Toon or particularly care about him, which is also why he's such an obnoxious orange instead of literally any color I actually liked at the time. Well, orange is now my second favorite color because of him and I wouldn't change his appearance for the world.

He's not based off of a TTO Toon. I only remember one Toon I made in TTO, which was a red rabbit named Raboon {"rabbit" + "toon"}. I've already remade Raboon in TTR on a different Toon slot, but I didn't want to be a rabbit in TTR when I was first starting, I wanted to be a cat! So that's why I made a new Toon.

Originally when my Felixverse lore was much more resembling a kid's cartoon {yes the entire old lore that I told literally nobody was retconned lol}, he had a love interest Toon named Felixia. She was an orange cat who, like older cartoons, was basically supposed to be a copy/paste of him except feminine and cutesy. I do not have any Toons named Felixia in any of my TTR or TTCC accounts, but when I used to play Toontown Offline I did make her an unreasonably overpowered SOS Toon who would use marbles that did 200 damage.

Felix's name is actually pronounced in German, meaning that it's pronounced kinda like fae-lix rather than how most people pronounce it to me, which is fee-lix.

Speaking of his name, if it wasn't evident enough already, he was Felix before I was Felix. He basically became my identity online over time.
