GLYNDA DISCOVERS WHY BEING CINDER FALL SUCKS

She was fidgety; even Cinder mentioned her pacing, shooting a critical eye her way. Glynda sat, intent on stillness; moments later, Cinder mentioned her bouncing leg.

On her way down the street, Glynda couldn't help but stare at the car, its tinted windows revealing nothing within. As she passed it, she kept glancing over her shoulder, expecting an attack or something. But nothing came of it.

To answer Cinder Fall and she doesn’t have a license, but she does have several warrants for her arrest felt like inviting Winter to question not only her integrity, but her sanity as well.

It was the same thing, over and over: people didn’t understand her and she didn’t understand them. It was an exercise in futility that only gave her grief. In the end, she gave up on trying to explain herself. She resigned to being wrong, to always being wrong, even when she knew she wasn’t.

She leaned into it, letting it take the reins; the distressing memories vanished like wisps of smoke, vaporized by the heat of her wrath.

It was early evening in Umbraroot, but it must already be night in Atlas. The shadows revealed the unclean angles of Winter’s face: the bruises of exhaustion under her eyes, the lines of stress at the corners of her mouth.

Glynda’s stomach lurched. She stowed her Scroll before she could think about them.

At the mouth of the alley, she could see the shape of Cinder’s apartment in the distance. She stood there for a long time, staring, uncertain what to do with her hands, unsure what to do with her heart. Her jaw flexed. She remembered the tears on Winter’s lashes. The friend she’d lost.

Glynda took her first step toward the apartment.

I just need to vent, tonight has been so terrible.

So I was refilling Kanaya’s (my dog) food pocket in the kitchen. And for you who dont know, my house is really small. So when you come from my room who have to walk through the kitchen to get to the living room. So my cat Willow came out of my room and was heading to the living room, was no way at all going to Kanaya’s food, but Kanaya charged at her, grabbed her and bite her and began shaking her around. I had to grab Kanaya for her to let Willow go.

There was blood everywhere because Willow was running around scared. I put Kanaya in my parents room and we were able to grabber Willow. Her nose was bleeding and she was wheezing and with all the blood we couldn’t tell where she was bleeding. So we raced to the emergency vet.

From what they saw she might have a broken jaw, a fractured skull and their might be damaged to her eye but it’s too swollen for them to check. They put her on a lot of pain meds and they do want to do a CT scan but its like over 2,000 just for that and we already pid 2,000 just for her to stay so they can watch her. They do think she will heal, its just gonna take time and her might be blind on one eye but still.

The problem now is Kanaya. She has done this before but not this bad as the last time she did it, it was a dog. But the thing is, Kanaya was never like this before. She lived with other animals before and she was just fine! But now she has become aggressive with food, toys, even blankets and other things. She had even become aggressive to me and my mom. She hasn’t bitten us yet but she does growl a lot and not a playful one and she shows her teeth.

As soon as my Dad heard what happen while he was at work, he immediately texted my mom to have Kanaya be put down. Now while Kanaya’s behavior has made me nervous I have never thought of her being put down for it. Not once. And I still don’t want too. I want to take her to the vet and make sure she doesn’t have any neurological problems or even possibly a brain tumor. Or just to see if this is just a behavior problem and if so I could most likely take her to training classes.

While we were there my Dad had threatened to shoot Kanaya multiple times and even threatened to kick me and Kanaya out and have me live in my car. I told him I don’t care. She is legally my dog as my name is on her paperwork and he isn’t paying anything for her appointment. So far while at home he hasn’t said anything but I’m still worried he will do something while I’m gone.

While I figure out what to do with Kanaya, Willow will stay at my sister’s when she does get released. And my mom has agreed that if I am able to fix Kanaya’s behavior we can bring Willow back home.

I am just worried that when I go to the vet they will say they think its best to put her down. I don’t know if I can handle that.

Not to be really depressing but, sometimes I look back on what’s all happened to me since November of last year, and it’s honestly baffling all the horrific shit I’ve been through. My dad had been in crippling pain all summer and autumn last year, but tried to get through it bc he just thought it was sciatica. He started taking some of my granny’s absurdly strong pain pills because he didn't want to seek medical attention for his issue bc we have no health insurance, but I saw that he was only getting worse and wanted him to just get on indigent care bc mom had before and we were able to afford that medical help no problem, but he refused to. A month before his cancer diagnosis his behavior towards me changed dramatically, he started screaming at me over everything, cursing at me in horrible ways, and my mom just kept quiet about it because my dad said I deserved it for being a bitch at him.

Then once dad got the cancer diagnosis, my mom fucking lost it. She was saying how we couldn't survive without my dad over and over and I had to be the comforter, but no one comforted me. I had to push all my feelings deep down because no one was well enough to listen to them or be there for me. We only knew about the spinal tumor then, we didn't even know it was malignant, or that he had a brain tumor and other small tumors on his spine. To this day my mom blames my dad’s brain tumor for his verbally abusive behavior towards me, but I just don't know. It still fucks me up because everything he said to me still is like open wounds on me. I’m still traumatized over it and all the things that happened after it.

Then just moments after my dog passed away after a miserable night of trying to keep her as comfortable as possible all night while suffering from multiple seizures and just trying to let her know I was there with her and she wasn't alone (she was blind), my dad became completely paralyzed and could not get off of the couch. He had also lost all control of his bladder and had apparently pissed in his sleep all over Christmas presents in the living room my mom had already wrapped beautifully. Mom assumed my dad had just took too many pain pills and it made him act that way.

But it only got worse from there. 5 days he stayed on that couch. Did not get off of it once. You can imagine the horror. His left leg had become completely numb due to the lymphoma on his spine damaging the nerves controlling it, and my mom discovered he had developed a huge bed sore on the back of that leg bc he had it against the couch for days bc he couldn't move it. My mom freaked, and I got upset and told them both he needed emergency medical attention NOW, but they wouldn't listen and instead said to give them 7-10 days to get indigent care and then MAYBE he’d go to the doctors. He would not have survived being on that couch immobile another 7-10 days.

But on the 5th night, my mom and I were watching tv in the back room, and heard a noise in the living room like something had crashed over, so we went out to check and dad was on the couch knocking things off of the table next to him, and when my mom asked him what he was doing he talked complete nonsense, not a thing he said made sense. “I’m trying to buy lightbulbs with tim and this black man and youll know about them strawberries once you see them DONT ACT LIKE YOU DONT KNOW” it’d be hilarious if it weren't for the fact the brain tumor was messing with his mind, but we didn't know about the tumor at the time, and I had seen my dad have a couple of drinks that night, so my mom and I assumed he got drunk, which was EXTREMELY out of character for him, but since he was in such a pitiful state we though maybe it was enough to make him get drunk.

My dad continued on with his bizarre behavior, and I couldn't take it anymore, I called my granny (bc she lives right next door) and she showed up and saw him, and I stayed the night at her place bc I couldnt stand to be home anymore. I called my dad’s sister bc she lives in the same neighborhood too, and she went and checked up on him and thought he was drunk too. We all agreed that in the morning he HAD to go to the ER, and he did...after 5 firemen showed up to carry him out of the house into a car. He had become completely incontinent at that point and was an absolute mess no matter how much mom mom tried to keep him clean, so this was a completely disasterous situtation in every single way. My dad told us he had not been drunk that night and we all panicked bc we didn't know what else it could be. This all happened the day before Christmas Eve.

My dad’s ex-stepdad was the one who took him to the ER, and the hospital decided to try and remove the tumor through surgery the morning of Christmas Eve. That morning, my mom and I were home, but mom was going to be picke up and go to the hospital later and stay there all day, but they wanted to do the surgery earlier than expected, so the doctors called us bc they needed mom’s permission to do the surgery, so I bring the phone to my mom and she refuses to talk with them. I don't know what the fuck her deal was but I was having none of it and got really ugly with her until she answered the phone and gave them permission. She was all “THERE. YOU HAPPY NOW?“ So again I was hurting immensely yet was still getting kicked down and I was acting tough but honestly I was so alone and scared.

Then my mom went to the hospital, and I went to my grandparents to try and help prepare for their Christmas eve party, all while trying to keep everyone updated on my dad, and a little after noon, my mom called my hysterical, telling me that the surgery was unsuccessful because the tumor wasn't solid enough to remove, and that after further scans they found other spinal tumors, and a tumor in his brain. again, I was calm and told mom not to lose it too much because there could be treatment for it, but honestly I was just in shock and in survival mode. Mom came back to my grandparents and we had the most miserable Christmas we’ve ever had.

Dad continued on with his delirium until his brain surgery to remove the tumor the best they could back in January, then they did tests on the tumor and another month later we found out it was CNS lymphoma, an aggressive cancer, that likes to come back even after treatment. Back in May of this year after just 4 rounds of chemo, dad was pronounced cancer free, but his oncologist had him take over 7 more treatments, just to try and deter the cancer from coming back. Dad got his last treatment a month ago, and he’s still unable to walk, but with physical therapy he is making some progress.

We’ve gone this whole year without income, bc my dad was the only one able to work, and disability has rejected dad twice this year despite him obviously being disabled. This month dad’s case for disability will go to court and i’m praying he gets approved this time, because just relying on my relatives is terrifying. The relatives ive had to rely on this year are the most toxic and verbally abusive people it’s been hell all year dealing with them. I’ve wanted desperately to get my license and be able to drive to get my own job, but my granny manipulated my dad to give his only working vehicle to her, and so I'm completely stuck rn. Trapped at my verbally abusive grandparent’s house bc my mom and I have had to live here all year instead of our own home bc we cant pay our utility bills rn.

I’ve dealt with so much trauma,so much discouragement, so much abuse from people closest to me this year, all while having untreated severe depression, anxiety, and severe suicidal ideation that I've had for over a decade now. This is only a fraction of what ive been through this year. There’s so much other horrible fucked up shit that’s happened to me I honestly cant deal with the reality of it all most days, but tonight is a night where everything is coming back to me, it’s just constant flashbacks of it all and I just cant believe it. I cant believe any of this has happened to me, but it has. It has and i’m terrified even worse is to come for me.

My long emotional review of GOTG Vol.2

ok here we go

it’s VERY long

and spoilers af

I saw it opening night,and I ended up watching it alone because both people bailed on me last minuet. I made sure no one sat beside me so when I cried I wouldn’t be bothered or embarrassed. [I’d accidentally read a spoiler about Yondu a few days before and it hurt I knew tears would happen.]

The movie began and I COULD NOT STOP SMILING. I was so happy, my face literally hurt. Which was odd, what the hell was I smiling for? IDK I was just so happy. I couldn’t NOT smile. We got to see Meredith before she was sick and dying nd OOOH BOY I WAS SO HAPPY. I love meredith so much, y’all dont even know. she’s my river lilly. We got to see Peter’s mom and dad interact and be in love. Despite what Ego said, I feel like he really did have feelings for Meredith. There was strong emotions when he talked about her later in the film. James Gunn totally forced that accent in her though, like ooh no baby what is you doin??? I live in the south and have been here all my life and I’ve literally never heard anyone with an accent that strong. I have 2 friends from Missouri and have literally never heard them or their friends or relatives talk like that.

Peter was kind of flirting with Aesha, and then he look a look at gamora and was like ooh shit sorry babe ad then HE APOLOGIZED TO HER AND they were just, a married couple tbh

And then the ravagers, who appear to never have seen snow before, are having a good time on some Robot Hooker planet with anime weeabo music blaring in the background and it’s all around a good time until Yondu confront’s Stakar and it’s just tension,,,,,,

also When The Guardians were about to be obliterated and they were suddenly saved by the tiny man, I was hoping it was Yondad to the rescue, but it turned out to be Ego. Which was alright. They were sitting around the fire and Ego was like “I gotta take a wiz” and I was like hhhhm yup he’s your dad peter theres no doubt there.. And then Gamora was like lets take a walk and i was like hhHHHMM YES TAKE A WALK KIDS and kiss. And I was all happy and smiling and then Gamora starts telling the David Hasselhoff story and my heart just broke because FUCK, i’ve done that before.

Gamora Telling Groot That It Will Be Okay And She And Dad Peter Will Only Be Gone For A Few Days

When they went to Ego’s planet, everything was so bright and pretty and colorful, my artistic side was already picking color pallets.

And then peter learned about his background and i was fUCKed Up. It was so good.

Meanwhile Rocket is back with the Milano and he’s just Having A Good Time kicking those ravager’s asses while country music plays in the background. Now, I dont even like country, But i was getting Turnt The Fuck Up in my seat. He’s in awe and smiley and just so fuckin cute it makes my heart flutter. And then he starts dwelling on living forever and how he’s gonna miss his friends and he’s just Sad From All Angles. It hurt me. And the way he says “my mother” with a half-mumble and cute little voice slays me.

And then Ego was like “That’s why it hurt me to put that tumor in her brain.”

THE ENTIRE THEATER LITERALLY WENT “OH” AS IN OH SHIT. LIKE, SHIT JUST GOT REAL.

I shed some more tears when Ego crushed the walkman.

And of course Yondu and Kraglin come to his rescue. Also Yondu and Rocket is a great friendship pleeeease leave me alone to to die. It’s all just so good and the battle’s going great, and it’s all action, and giant Pac Mans, and Mary Poppins, Y’all!!!!

And at the end Peter is just ready to accept his fate and Die. and then Yondad swoops in and saves him and they start flying outta there and Yondu puts the space suit on Peter.

“He was your father but he wasn’t Your daddy”, “my boy”, and Peter clinging to Youndu and crying [cue my ugly ass sobbing in my seat with my sleeve in my mouth to keep quiet.]

And the funeral...Oh My God. Peter admitting that he had a pretty cool dad while a tear streamed down his face [My Total Cry Count: probably like 5 at this point.] Then they sent Yondu off and it was just COLORFUL and eye pleasing fffuck

And then the ravagers appear and They have a ravager funeral and It’s so bright and colorful and lovely, Kraglin cheers, Everyone pays their respects, I cry again.

Groot goes from Peter, to Mommy Gamora, to Drax, and he is a small sleepy baby and rests his head down on Drax to sleep. Drax realizes Mantis Is beautiful, Gamora and Peter finally get together [they didnt kiss, dammit], I cry harder. They stand back and watch the light show, and it’s a beautiful ending.

I cried and waited for like a-whole-nother hour to compose myself before calling my mom to come pick me up

mom

there was a time in my life where the hardest thing i was going through was a high school breakup. i thought the world was ending, that id never experience a worse heartbreak than that one. i got over it and went back to the guy a few times. it was on and off. that was the beginning of my junior year, around september. come april 21st i received the worst news i could have handled at the time. my mom was diagnosed with cancer. now she never really told us, well at least me, she never told me the stage of the cancer. but it was rectal. they tell you not to look up that kind of shit because it will scare you but me, i dont listen when told not to do something. now, i probably should have, it scared me what i found, but also gave me hope. it said curable. they said long life span. so, in my mind it was all going to be okay. my dad took it very hard. i poften found him crying alone, and i cried too. we all did. my mom was the type of person to help anyone in need, she was amazing, loving, wonderful, generous, warm, any fucking word to describe an angel, that was fucking her. still is. anyways fast forward about a year, end of my senior year. i start dating this new guy, hes amazing, he gave me the world. i couldnt have asked for a better man. stuck by my side through some fucked up shit that was my fault. we had our fights, like every couple. he did some things that i didnt like but i pushed past it because i loved him. thats what couples do right? well, not even a year later i spent less time with my family, more time with him and his. i regret that every day of my life. ill never forget the first day of my new job my dad made me cry because he told me my mom thought id rather spend time with my boyfriends mom than her. i balled my eyes out on my way to work. i never wanted to hurt my moms feelings like that. she couldnt do much, she was weak and it was getting harder for her to do everyday things. that was november. come march 25. it was a saturday. my mom was sitting in her spot on the couch and my dad was downstairs on the computer. i dont remember my sister being home. my mom asked me to look at her eyes and tell me what color the whites were, they were yellow. that meant jaundice. i told my dad, we told her she needed to go to the hospital. she said she didnt feel well and didnt want to go that day and if she wasnt feeling any better shed go the next day. i didnt think too much about it, this wouldnt be the first hospital trip that month or let alone that year. sunday; i went to my boyfriends to hangout and have dinner. after dinner my dad told and said they were going to the hospital. we then drove up to meet them. they took my mom in the back, i went back with her as did everyone else. the crazy thing is, is i dont remember all too much. i remember being back h=there, them asking her certain questions that made me sad, like if she was sad, depressed, thinking about dying. i brought her up some things when we went, i had this pair of ankle fuzzy sicks that i gave to her, she asked me to put them on her feet, i remember there being a hole in the big toe, she thought it was funny. it got later, they ended up admitting her but were trying to find a room. my dad had to work the next morning and i hadnt started my new job so i told him i would stay with her that night so she wasnt alone. they had a room in the pediatric ward so they sent us up. there were two cribs, a bed and a couple chairs in the room. i slept in the chair that turned into a bed. the nurses were very nice. we got some rest after being moved up there. it was very late, almost 4am. the next morning my uncle was up there and my dad came soon after as well. days went by, i started my new job, id go up as soon as i got off to go and see her. she got worse each day but we didnt think anything of it. turns out the tumor was actually starting to quickly crush her liver. she started not being able to talk well. they eventually put her on a heavy breathing treatment. she stopped talking and responding. my dad asked a timeline and the doctor said he didnt like to put timelines. i thought she would get better. they had my dad sign a DNR, we werent going to make her suffer if she didnt have to. it was selfish of us to want her to stay with how much pain i knew she was in. we had family up there always. april 4th. it was a wednesday. by now they had put my mom into hospice care, we had the option of bringing her home but we didnt want to make her uncomfortable by moving her. they gave us the whole room we were in. 315 bed B. we had people come and talk to us about urns and getting things like that. a hospice worker told us that their phone line was always available to talk on, whether it was a week later or a year later. i didnt have workbthat day. i went up to the hospital early. my moms cousin Colleen was there. my boyfriend came up as well. my dad my sister and her cousin kim came up as well. we hung out all day. i told colleen i probably wouldnt end up going to this festival i had in may because i wanted to be there everyday for my mom. colleen said that was almost 2 months away and that my mom may not be here by then. i didnt want to think about that. my mom would always be here right? that night me and my boyfriend ordered chinese. we were going to pick it up but they had delivery. we were also supposed to go to the store but we decided not to for some reason i dont remember. we ate our nasty chinese food. i got shrimp and lobster sauce, my moms favorite. we were all sitting aruond talking. my dad had ran home to let the dogs out since no one had been home in a while. anytime he would leave the room for anything longer than a half hour he would hug my mom and tell her to wait for him. he left. he got to the house. he let the dogs house. we were sitting there when my boyfriend looked over at my mom. her eyes were open. they hadnt been open in days. we instantly went over to her. her cousin got the nurse. me and my sister held her hand. i called my dad crying. all i could muster out was the word “hurry” and the pain in his voice when he said “okay” was enough to break anyones heart. the nurses knew. we all knew. i held my moms hand crying. my boyfriend rubbed my back. i told her i loved her. my sister told her she loved her. kim consoled her. we knew her fight was over. kim closed my moms eyes and like that she was gone. it was 10:15. we had to wait for a doctor to pronounce time of death. time of death was 10:25. my dad got there, tears in his eyes. we called family to tell them. his best friend was up in a heartbeat. his brother came up. i called my best friends. sarah and her boyfriend were up within minutes. my boyfriend held me. everyone cried. my dad hugged me and my sister so tight. the nurses were wonderful and sweet. it was probably 3 something in the morning when we left. i said my final goodbyes and told her i loved her. how could i just leave my mom in this room all alone? i couldnt handle it. i drove home with my boyfriend and let my dad drive alone. i dont know why i did that. i should have went with him. we got home and i couldnt tell you anything after that. i dont remember much about the days that followed. i know the next day we had to make phone calls to change things into our names and take my moms off. we received lots of “im so sorry for you loss”’s. it got sickening. we got flowers, cards, food. my boyfriends family was so helpful. i took that friday off of work and went back monday. got a lot of sorrys there too. her memorial was friday the 13th. i worked that morning. i shouldnt have but i had to go on like normal. how do you just go on like normal? how do you just up and live without your best friend, your fucking mother? she was supposed to be there through everything. she was supposed to live a long happy life with my dad. she was supposed to watch me get married and watch my have her grandchildren. she was supposed to be free of cancer and get better and live happy and healthy. she wasnt supposed to die. she should still fucking be here today. but shes not. months later, not even a year. my boyfriend and i broke up. just shy of a year since her passing, march 2nd. my friend and i had a run in with my ex. she flipped him off while we were driving. he followed us to the gas station and cussed us out. later that night he posted a story on his snapchat. black screen with the words “ your mother would be ashamed of you” written on it. directed towards me. how dare he say that shit. how could the same man that held me while i held my dying mothers hand say some dumb fucking shit like that to me? i dont quite get how he could ever in a million years say that shit. she was liuke amother to him. he was there through everything we dealt with, all the grieving, the sadness and depression in my house. but what bothers me is how a few months later we were getting back together. and how i could forgive him for saying that. i never did forgive him and i dont think i ever will. he said he posted it to hurt me because he was hurt. but how could he stoop that low. later on he brought her up again when he wanted me to stop smoking. “ how would mom feel” i tried kicking him out, ive never yelled at him before until that night, i got in his face and screamed not to talk about my dead mom. he didnt again. we stopped talking about a month later and havent talked since. he never understood what i was going through. what i am going through. i cry a lot. i miss my mom everyday. i think about her every hour of the day. my dad texts her almost every day. he posts on her facebook sometimes. i text her sometimes. i call too to see if someone new has her number. its still disconnected. i dont want someone new to have her number. thats her fucking number. no one elses. i still dont feel like this is all real and here its been a year and a half. christmas is coming up. her birthday is christmas eve. it was her favorite time of the year. we held the party at our house very year for anyone who wanted to come. it was always a full house. everyone loved my mom, she was an amazing person. a family friends words describing my mother to someone were “she had to adjust her halo when walking into a room” and thats always been true. even now, im sure she visits often. i wish so bad that she could be here, that she could see how everything is going. i miss her so fucking much and i just want my fucking mom back. i know everything in life would be okay if she was here. i know it would solve every problem me and my family have if she was just fucking here. she should be here. she should fucking be here right now.

My car was hit while it was parked in my own driveway 4 days ago (in NY state). The police came and filed a report. I asked them for the other drivers insurance info, but they said I would have to wait for the police report and it would include that information. They advised it would be available after 5 business days at a cost of $5.00. I think the information should have been made available immediately so I could have filed a claim with the other person's insurance company. I don't suspect they will get rich by charging $5.00, so I don't know why I have to wait for the info. I am concerned that the other person's insurance will question the delay in filing the claim. Is this normal? I would really like to get my car fixed as soon as possible and am frustrated that I have to wait to get information that I think should have been immediately available. The driver that hit my car admitted to being on heavy duty prescription drugs at the time of the accident, but said that wasn't the cause of the accident. They said they had a seizure and had a documented history of seizures (which makes me think they shouldn't have a valid license anymore). I was struck by an uninsured driver on 02-10-11. Because the driver who struck me was uninsured I was forced to file a claim with my insurance company(Omni Insurance). The car was towed to CJ's collision at 6128 n beechwood Philadelphia, pa ,19138 on 02-11-11. Phone number 215-848-2836. On 02-14-11 Omni insurance sent out an appraiser to evaluate the vehicle. They then faxed an estimate on 02-15-11 totaling $5300 to CJ's collision shop. I went to the collision shop on 02-15-11 to sign paperwork giving them permission to work on my car. They then began the repairs. On 02-18-11 the insurance company then deemed my car a total loss. The vehicle is a 2005 Nissan Altima SL with 96,477 miles. The NADA value for the vehicle is 10,995. According to Omni insurance a car is deemed a total loss when the repairs reach 70% of the value of the vehicle. Omni insurance valued my car at 7,415. They then proposed a settlement offer of 5826.40. They deducted 975.00 in prior damages(which I disagree with) and 1000.00 my deductible. The settlement offer included 386.40 in sales tax. After negotiating on 02-28-11 they proposed an offer of 7835.30. The value they gave my car was 9255. Again 975.00 was deducted and my 1000.00 deductible. They including sales tax and tags/registration fee in the offer. I accepted the offer out of desperation because they also stopped paying for the rental car I was driving on 02-28-11. I work, attend school and have a child my schedule requires that I have a car so I paid out of pocket for a rental car until 03-07-11, expecting the payment to be issued to my lien holder by then so I could purchase another car. I contacted them on 03-07-11 inquiring about my payment and was informed they did not pick the vehicle up from the collision shop therefore they were not issuing a payment. The collision shop gave them a bill of 1750.00 for the repairs they did and the storage fees. The insurance company disagrees with this and refuses to pick the vehicle up and issue my payment. They have also stated this may come out of my settlement offer. The insurance company already has the title to the car and all the necessary paperwork to the vehicle but refuses to issue a payment. It has been a month since I filed my claim and I can no longer afford to pay for a rental especially since it seems I will have to purchase a new vehicle. The insurance company is low balling me and also forcing me to pay for repairs they approved then backed out of.""

I was recently involved in a car accident where I was at fault. The major problem is that at the time it happened my car insurance had been canceled for nonpayment more than 30 days before. Is it possible to pay the premiums that I missed and get retroactive car insurance? I'm trying to avoid a misdemeanor on my record. My insurance company is State Farm, and after the accident I immediately called them and had my insurance reinstated. I also told them about the accident. Please, I need help ASAP.

I just recently passed my driving test and I'm completely taken away by the prices I've saw for car insurance on my parents Astra, I'm getting prices up at 7K. I've decided to go out and buy a category 1 insurance car (or any that's a low category) so it will be cheaper to run but the only problem is, I don't have a job at the moment so only have savings. It wouldn't bother me not taking out my own policy because I understand that can be more expensive but is there an alternative for me until I get a job and earn money to get the policy so I can collect NCD's? One of my friends use to have his own policy on his family car, a big car like ours, until he had an accident and the price shot up. Now because he can't afford the monthly costs he just takes out 1 weeks insurance at a top when needed and this costs him around 40. What I don't understand though is that he's 18, the same age as me, and I thought you werent able to do short term insurance as a new driver? Although I think he somehow takes it under his parents policy? I'v no idea how this works if someone could shine a light on it? I was at an intersection, a 4 way stop. I stopped, and entered the intersection. As I went into the middle of the intersecton, a car approached from the right hand side and he didn't stop at the intersection. He went straight through it and hit the right side of my car, he basically T-boned me. The guy had Geico, they first offered to pay me 70% that was raised to 75%, and after another call it went up to 80%. So I know they have room to wiggle around. If it helps teh other driver got a ticket from a police officer for failing to stop at the stop sign. The damage to my car is on the two doors, they're completely busted. I would think they would be liable to the full extent of the damages, but apparently not. Im in New York state if that helps at all.
