#With there being over 40 episodes ordered for the new season I'm hoping that they don't pull quantity over quality

I agree with the tier list but I'm curious why idw and 2007 are on the bottom half and not like 2012 splinter? Or even rise they were both pretty bad fathers
I'll answer rise and 2012 first because 2007 and idw fuel me with so much anger.
DISCLAIMER: I love Rise Splinter and 12 Splinter but they are not without flaws!!!!!
Trigger warnings will be in tags please adhere to them!
[Rise Splinter Start]
I put rise splinter in "you're okay" tier because Hamato Yoshi (will be calling rise splinter "Lou" from now on for context) did his very best and tried to make the very best out of a terrible situation.
He had lost his mother at a very young age and dealt with an emotionally neglectful grandfather who had only cared about a Hamato's duty to their clan up to his late teens into adulthood. [This undermines Karai's sacrifice in the first place. As she had sacrificed herself out of love for the world around her and the love of her father. Not because of a sense of duty.]
Lou moves to America in order to separate himself from his trauma, never addressing it but rather repressing it. In hopes he can move on and start a new life, which he fully intended when he proposed to Big Mama. [Though it's never spoken directly or stated directly in the show, it's implied Splinter was ready to even have a family with her because he loved her so much]
This is quickly torn to shreds when Big Mama reveals she's a Yokai crime boss [essentially] and human traffic [yes. HUMAN TRAFFICS] Lou to New York to become a champion in her Battle Nexus. While in the beginning of the show it's depreciated as Lou Jitsu loved being a Nexus champion we quickly learned in "Many Unhappy Returns" he in fact did not relish being a champion and was clearly traumatized by Big Mama's actions.
> Enter Baron Draxum
Lou is human trafficked once again and this time is experimented on, his DNA used to create turtle super soldiers that will be trained and raised to murder humans. [This show is super fucked up now that I think about it.]
And after completely destroying Draxum's lab, being freshly mutated into a rat man. Stripped of his humanity, he now has 4 turtle sons dropped into his lap.
TLDR: Rise Splinter did the very best he could in a terrible situation and struggled to overcome his own generational trauma. His actions are explained, not excused. He needs therapy, his sons needs therapy. He needs to make up for his neglectful behavior [which we do see towards the end of season 1 and into season 2] and understand his children are in no way shape or form obligated to forgive him.
[End of Rise Splinter]
[Start of 2012 Splinter]
My reasoning for putting 2012 Splinter in "Seek therapy before having kids" tier is because Hamato Yoshi [will just be calling him Yoshi for context] has been a parent before, while brief and tragically separated from his child for many years, on top of losing his wife.
Yoshi did as I would feel did the best he could but could have definitely done better. He's freshly traumatized, well into his 30s, maybe early 40s [?] And moves to America from Japan. [Clearly he needs therapy]
Yoshi clearly was not expecting to be a parent again, so soon after losing his only daughter. [perceived]
He loves his children, though he more often than not struggles to actually connect with them and see them as his sons rather than just clan members. I would consider this emotionally neglectful [?]
I personally always headcanoned this as a trauma response. A subconscious way to protect himself from the hurt of losing another child. And it's clear that Yoshi's trauma over losing miwa has manifested for his sons as well, as we see in the episode "Panic in the Sewers" one of the first episodes we actually see Yoshi PUT HIS HANDS ON HIS SON outside of training. And it's very clear that he was in fact hurting Raph. [Intentional or not. He still hurt his son.]
He loves his sons very much. But please. Get therapy.
[End of 2012 Splinter.]
Cracks Knuckles
[Start IDW Splinter.]
FUCK THIS STUPID ASS RAT I HATE HIM SO FUCKING MUCH. ESPECIALLY ESPECIALLY AFTER THE EVENTS OF CITY FALL.
YOUR SON IS CLEARLY TRAUMATIZED BY NOT JUST OROKU SAKI BUT YOU, HE IS AFRAID OF YOU ANGRY AT YOU AND DESPITE YOU KNOWING THIS YOU STILL CHOOSE TO INVADE HIS SPACE, PRIVACY AND COMFORT ZONE. FUCK YOU!
That being said the entire Trauma and storyline with IDW Leo being brainwashed was handled poorly and clearly written from a stigmatized view. I'm not surprised that his recovery was handled just as poorly.
[End of IDW Splinter]
[Start of 2007 Splinter]
Fuck you. You literally look like the cheetah from Cheetos you nasty, emotionally and physically neglectful fuck!!!
The only time you EVER paid attention to your sons was when Leo came home. 2 YEARS AFTER YOU SENT HIM TO CENTRAL AMERICA.
You did NOT care about Raphael's feelings about Leo's departure or return, nor the abandonment issues he had developed and the resentment that he had for you and his older brother.
You did NOT care that Donnie had to pick up the slack and pay bills so YOUR CRUSTY CHEETO LOOKING ASS COULD WATCH THE NEWS AND YELL "BOYS" WHEN LEO CAME HOME AND THEY CONVENIENTLY WENT OUT TO FIGHT CRIME
I DON'T THINK YOU EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED MIKEY UNTIL THE END OF THE MOVIE AFTER LEO WAS SAVED
TLDR: FUCK 2007 SPLINTER.

Okay, so i thought long and hard about this, and i just thought that, this season can't end on a cliffhanger right?
Episode 10 ended halfway through ch 110; so if we think that the remaining .5 chapter takes a minute or two, so excluding op and ed we have 18-19 mins of anime only episode.
But then there isn't anything else remaining in this whole arc that they can leave the 11th episode on a cliffhanger and pick up in season 6 and have enough storyline to last that whole season (or even half). This whole decay of angels things is stretched thin as is, any more and it won't make any sense.
(I'm conveniently going to ignore the fact that the new episode is titled 'Twilight Goodbye'; theories aside, that shit sound terribly depressing. My soukoku heart cant take the possibility of it really being a goodbye...)
I also know that the whole mess getting magically cleared in one episode seems like a pipe-dream (unless the episode is 40-45 mins long); but spilling over next season to wrap this up in another two episodes seems weird anime pacing.
So i can only think that someone missing from the story till now is going to come in at this last moment to set things straight.
The only people still unaccounted for in all this mess are:
Yosano
Kyoka
Mori
Koyo
Verlaine (does he count if he isn't yet introduced in anime or main story?)
Katai
Naomi
Natsume sensei
Kajii (?)
the whole of Guild
I have a feeling that since Yosano was no where near the airport, or even in Anne's room, means she is away from this whole scene and possibly ready to jump in to save Dazai (i really hope) because the ADA members don't exactly need her there at this moment they can survive off the machines a bit longer, but Dazai needs to be saved.
Then we need someone to overpower Fukuchi if we are thinking of taking one order back from him...
Also, someone to outsmart Fyodor now...
All of ADA is down... So in a situation like this, i think the PM top brass (Mori, Koyo and Verlaine) coming through in the clutch would make more sense. The DOA marked them off in their first move, severely underestimated them...
Mori for all his vices is a very cunning man, he has an ability to be cool and calculating, and arrive at an the optimal solution without letting emotions interrupt his decision making. He is a war veteran, he knows how a war is fought and won and he is ready to take any means necessary, however ugly, to reach his end goal. With a bit of intel about the battle field, he can turn the tides in their favour. He already knew about Tachihara, so i don't think he will just sit back after knowing what dangers are just round the corner. He would have started planning then only, if not earlier.
I don't know how can one win over Fukuchi at this point, till the time he has that damn sword, he seems invincible (plot armour and all that crap included), but i think Natsume sensei will have seen him in his cat form, so i really hope he will have a plan to deal with that too...
We also don't know where the big hitters from guild are, Fitzgerald himself is a whole package and he even has eyes of god; something that was used against Fyodor before this... sooooo.....
OR the vampirism get's lifted and this time Shin soukoku finally beat the crap out of Fukuchi, i would love to see that...
Is there anything else that can happen?

As fan of the OG show I hate this love triangle between Bloom, Sky and Stella, aside from being very repetitive in other shows, in the OG there’s a character named Diaspro blond girl who was Sky’s fiancé “ because both are royals and something” so she was Bloom’s rival for Sky “ in both the original and Fate Sky is attracted to Bloom ONLY so what’s the point of this whole thing ?!” This plot in the original got so repetitive that it happened in almost every season to create drama between Bloom and Sky for no reason. So I was pissed that they did it again with Bloom’s BFF from the show Stella because she is blond as well 😵‍💫?! I am glad it didn’t last for long or being carried to the next season just I hope they never brought this Diaspro for another annoying love triangle🙄although I believe they had an eye on other trio Sam, Musa and Riven “ since Musa and Riven are couple in OG”
Okay I wasn't gonna publish this one because I feel like it might be pushing on the fate-hate og superiority, buuutu you make some points.
Personally, I enjoy the stella-sky-bloom love triangle. VERY unpopular opinion, I know, but I didn't feel at all like it was a regular cliched love triangle. Sure, at first it may look like its "new hot girl comes over, shakes up established couple, love triangle issues" , but I think its much deeper than that. Bloom is not interested into coming between Stella and Sky. Yes, she has feelings for him, but it's very tied to how she feels like she doesn't belong in this place and Sky, pretty much THE person who belongs, keeps telling her no. You do.
Stella x Sky aren't your popular couple who are together despite not liking each other, it's the opposite of it. They're clearly very close. They're together after a huge trauma, which is still affecting them because they're lying about what happened to Ricky. Or rather, Stella is, because as far as the show tell us, it's clear Sky isn't 100% sure what happened that night, but he chooses to believe Stella's first version (before it got skewed by Luna), he chooses to believe in her.
I adore Stella and Sky together. I'm a hardcore skloom shipper, but the skella relationship is such a huge symptomatic relation to how these characters are written, what motivates them, their goals and their fears. Their break up and Stella later telling Sky she has to deal on her own? Growth. They're best friends material and I'll fight people on this.
Another point, when adapting a tv show from a previous source material, you have to look at your original text objectively. It's very clear they had to alter the source material because they wanted something darker and more teen targeted, but in order for certain alterations to make sense, you have to wipe down certain corners, merge characters into one, etc.
I don't want Stella x Sky to have the Diaspro fate in the cartoon, constantly being brought together, but as someone who never watched the cartoon, they don't feel like an awful love triangle hindering everything. I also don't mind that they merged Stella with Diaspro in order to make this very complex woman.
Stella's character has a lot of flaws writing wise (most notably in the last two episodes), but that's not one of them for me. I think its so much more interesting as an audience member to see Stella grow into this brilliant, powerful and bubbly character than to start out with her like that.
As of Rivusa, I too think they're going to go down that route, if nothing else because of the huge following they already have after 40 seconds of interaction.
I WISH they wouldn't pull a love triangle and instead have samusa drift apart as Sam gets involved with Beatrix in a long con trying to "save her" vs Musa gets involved with Riven and people call it a "bad influence", only for it to be the opposite. I think it would be fun and exciting to watch and wouldn't make either characters cheaters, which even with the little material s1 gave us I still think is OOC
