When Ruthven talks to Noé in the cafe, he mentions how he used to teach students until they were all killed. Then he touches his eyepatch. Probably bc whatever injured him also killed his students.

Well, in gevaudan we see Ruthven go from two eyes to one over the course of his visits to Chloé. Whatever happened in those years, likely the human/vampire war, was what killed NOT ONLY his students, but also his ability to empathize with humanity (and the reason he bites noé later)

L’album White Chalk de PJ Harvey a été très important pour moi, aucun de ses autres disques ne m’a fait le même effet. Addiction et bouleversement.

Alors, d’entendre ce nouveau morceau où elle prend cette fameuse petite voix si déchirante, je me prends à rêver… est-ce que le prochain album (prévu pour juillet je crois), sera fait du même bois ? Quelque chose d’épuré et de poignant ?

My sister is among those affected. Before the 7th of October, she was denied treatment by the Israeli military. Her pregnancy is considered high-risk. The doctors in Gaza warned her that during delivery, she, the child, or both might die. When she sought medical treatment outside Gaza, the Israeli military denied her permission to leave, not once but twice, in July and then in August — not in October. Now, she is displaced in Rafah with her two children and husband. She is ill. Her home in Gaza City is completely destroyed. My question is, what could possibly lead these people to deny a pregnant woman treatment or food? What kind of morals or hearts can allow this...?
