Chapter 4 is actually where the plot picks up, and you just gotta skip to the part where Fenton and Phantom merge back into Danny to miss most of the kissing stuff (there's a small dream sequence in chapter 7) because this is actually meant to be a slow burn fic. I'm at chapter 22, almost 150k words in and they're only just now spending time together! That's actually why that scene they drew is such a big deal (AND SO AMAZING THAT THEY DREW SOMETHING FOR IT OH MY GOD) The only things you really need to know from those first few chapters is that Danny was photographed flying into his room, he has a date with Valerie to watch the meteor shower, Fenton isn't comfortable around Phantom, and Phantom doesn't take the whole kissing practice (or Fenton's discomfort) seriously because he's super focused on impressing Valerie

also like, i love how!!!!! ok i dont wanna say each season is self contained, because it isnt, but. like. so far the season finales have been like. like, theyre very solid endings, that close the door on particular arcs, while still leaving questions open?

so like, even if there was no season 3, i'd be curious about what direction the show wouldve gone, but its not too hard to extrapolate my own ideas on where the characters end up. i'm not twisting in the wind, but i do have fascinating questions to ponder, but they arent like. "oh man, whats gonna happen next season when the plot finally resolves!!!!" theyre like "oh man, its so fascinating to think about whether barry will be able to live his life now without succumbing to the darkness," you know???

after so many tv shows felt like mindless hooks, with the intention not of being well made or a good story but with strongarming you into watching the next season, its so fucking REFRESHING to see a show that tells the story that season, and then doesnt bait you to hell and back.

and i loved the season finales soooo much like, s1 was so macably adorable and hilarious ("starting.... now" like lmfaoooo barry), and like. the shot of barry in s2 realizing who that guy he shot was, how much damage he's done, and just.... getting fucking enveloped by the darkness!!! walking right into it as it closes around him aHhhHHhh

I had a dream that i was still in school, and one of the teachers had at some point asked everyone to write letters to people they admire in the classroom and I didn't remember that so I must've been absent on that day.... but a letter was placed on my desk by the teacher and it was so awkward and funny and cute, I was so endeared. I remember one of the first lines was something about my thighs, it also said something about a dress I wore on the first day of school. The person who wrote its name was on it and It was some girl I'd never really noticed before so I looked around the classroom and it was this cute asian girl and she was kinda avoiding looking at me and it was sooo cute she was so embarrassed, so I laughed and she looked over and I just smiled really softly at her and she blushed and ahhhhhhh!!! Class was over after that so I went to the bathroom and realised I still had that dress from the first day of school in my backpack for some reason so I was like "I'll wear it ^-^" but I was so self conscious bc I hadn't shaved under my arms or something LOL but I was so determined to wear it and impress her that I put it on anyway. I had the next class with her as well so when I walked in her eyes bugged out a bit and I walked to my seat and a friend behind me said I looked good so I did a whole bunch of cutesy poses before laughing and sitting down. The girl came over at some point and started a conversation with me at and she was standing on my right side so she started playing with my earrings and I was so shocked bc she was being so forward w me but I liked it a lot. We were doing some sort of astrology thing in class and it was like "we're going to a pond and in that pond you'll find fish, on the fish you'll see two markings for two different astrology signs, those signs are destined to be partners" or something like that, and they have us resin or something so that if we wanted to keep the fish we could encase it. Anyway we all went to the pond and I was crossing this big red bridge over it when the girl called out my name and held up a fish then came running over to me. It had the sign for libra on it and on the other side it had pisces and theres been a lot of relationship stuff about them on my dash lately bc of someone I follow so I think that sort of inspired that part of my dream. But yeah she was like "you're a libra right? I'm a pisces" and gave me a really cute smile before she left to go encase the fish. When we got to the classroom she came over with a poster for a festival and was like "oh yeah, this looks really cool you should go" and I was like "well, are you going?" And she was like "I'm not busy on this day, I'll go sometime if you're there" and i was like "so can I have your number so I can message you later about details" and her eyes got really big like she wasnt expecting me to actually ask for her number and nodded her head and it was a lot and really cute and I was waaaay more confident in this dream than I'll ever probably be in real life but it was so adorable seeing this girl who liked me get all flustered. And she liked my thighs so that's a plus
