whilst the island danced the night away ...
The night of the masquerade was going smoothly. Everyone in attendance seemingly enjoying themselves. Sure, the occasional quarreling was overheard but that's to be expected when drinks are flowing from an open bar. What most attendees were unaware of was the stirring on the other side of the island. See, nestled at the tip on the edge of Ravenwyck is what appears to be a cozy lighthouse. The lighthouse is home to an ancient wixen who has kept their eyes glued on the prisoners of The Forgotten Isle since its start. Through ancient spells and charms, she along with a few others ensure that no one escapes. There's only been one incident that resulted in a painful death, resulting in none trying since. Unfortunately, whilst the rest of the island is enjoying themselves, a bubbling from inside the mountain of Midnight Labriynth stirred resulting in those thought dead floating to the surface. Ghosts and ghouls were silently making their way across the island, some causing mischief, others filled with confusion. A small group of ghouls led by the aforementioned prisoner made their way to the lighthouse, taking the guards and the ancient wixen by surprise and killing them resulting in most the warding spells failing and prisoners easily making an escape. Once word hit the council members at the masquerade, it was too late to stop things from escalating beyond repair. Acting fast, perhaps somewhat ill-advised, with help of a few powerful magic wielding beings they put the ball under lockdown. Those able to, with power left to see what they could do to calm the situation whilst the rest slowly started splitting attendees into groups until eventually all were split up, some with familiar faces, others not so lucky. Still, few knew what was actually happening, is keeping thousands of supernatural beings mixed with humans in the dark admist chaos truly the answer? There's truly only one way to find out.
Out Of Character Details: The music has stopped, the ball has come to an end, and attendees have been split into groups in hopes to better control the masses. It's possible that one or two have managed to slip out, but the majority are now under lockdown until things are under control.
ghosts are now an available species. more info can be found here. escaped prisoners can also be applied for, though at the moment we'll only be allowing one per mun.
in order to keep us from confusing the dash event threads from new ones, we've decided to test out Discord as we find it can be easier with group threads. Everyone will have access to all the groups as it is quite fun to be able to read what everyone is up to during the event! A Tupperbox tutorial will be shared on the resource blog and in the server, though the admins will also be around for any questions!
The groups have been randomized, and we've done our best to ensure muns don't have more than one character in a single group, but unfortunately for some we had to double up. You can find it below, under the cut.

The Sapien Complex.
The super-firm based out of Philadelphia, ZETA, built the large complex "Sapien" in the Yayu Forest in Ethiopia as a way for modern people to "get in touch with humanity's roots. " 2,439 people moved to the complex, and the experience was luxurious. Daily hikes, spectacular coffee, large in-ground indoor spa pools replicating the ones in Iceland, and for the more adventurous tenant, forest rangers would escort residents on 3-week long expeditions to ancient ruins and natural wonders. These were only some of the amenities tenants could partake in. The local economy also skyrocketed due to the massive demand for employees to staff the building and the requests for more fresh produce and coffee. The complex hired many locals, and contract companies set up trade deals to supply them with the ingredients they wanted. Salaried workers could afford more Western luxuries, such as expensive smartphones and televisions, due to their high wages. The complex was shut down in 2020 due to the Coronavirus, and now the building stands firm above the trees, overlooking the Yayu forest.
This was the vision ZETA released to the public: the paradise tucked away in the jungle. But, like all of Max Zeta's little pet projects, It was a complete and utter disaster. Many of the construction laborers who built the complex got severely injured or even died during its construction due to the deadly heatwave that swept through the country and the need to rush to complete the building before the almost impossible deadline. Many workers collapsed midway through their shift, and the sight of people getting dragged away became an almost daily occurrence. Even when construction had wrapped up, the mistreatment of employees continued. Reports of salaried workers imported from America verbally and even sexually abusing underpaid hourly workers popped up quite often. The tenants, most of whom were white American Generation X and Baby Boomers, would also harass the local workers and citizens. The complex was also overbooked; people who had spent a fortune to experience the life of their dreams were turned away at the reception desk. Many people who had come to the complex had sold their homes and possessions and had nothing left. Even when ZETA gave them reparations and they returned home, some were flown to the wrong city and stranded in a part of the country far away from their families.
Furthermore, the amenities provided to tenants were also dangerous. To replicate the feeling of the spa pools in Iceland, the temperature was set to almost 115°F, scalding multiple people and sending an elderly man to a nearby hospital after the temperature reached almost 135°F. And the expeditions those "forest rangers" would bring tenants on were extremely dangerous. Over five people lost their lives due to heat stroke and falling off of rocky cliffsides, and even more injured and lost due to the incompetence of the "rangers," who were actually tour guides brought over from America. In November 2020, the complex shut down for good, after all the death and chaos of its three-year lifespan, the final push to get the facility shut down was when an 89-year-old elderly woman was found dead and decomposing in her suite after multiple people reported there had an awful odor radiating from her room for over a month. She died due to complications with the Coronavirus, and three days later, ZETA closed the complex forever, leaving it abandoned, lurking over the treeline of the Yayu forest.

As humans we have been hooked up to a universal mainframe, a matrix through the various energetic seals, implants, mind control software programming, belief system modifications, DNA modifications and other energetic distortions.
These energetic distortions are inherited through birth and are of the most detrimental types of devices that we have within our energy bodies and auric fields, placed within the Earth’s crystalline grid system on various axiatonal lines (meridian ley lines). These energetic distortions have been put in place in a way that is somewhat natural to us, allowing us to basically live within the matrix and never really know or recognize that we are within it and are always being affected by it.
This is simply due to the fact that we have always had these distortions, the frequency level of our mind and personal vibration is at a point where our consciousness shuts down and we remain in a controlled program. This essentially keeps us asleep and the various frequency distortions effect us in a way that creates our energy and consciousness to be siphoned by creating discordance and it creates blockages that stop us from connecting with our higher self and higher dimensions.
Connecting to higher dimensional levels essentially is like moving your awareness into a higher perspective that is comparable to that of a pea, to the size of a planet.
By removing all of these energetic distortions, seals, implants and various other energetic devices you will be able to access more of your higher self which will allow you to hold these frequencies here in the physical.
The removal of these distortions releases the cap on your potential. You will begin to feel old patterns, negative addictions, thought processes and drama dissolving from your life as a result. Ultimately, you will receive a dramatic increase in clarity, awareness, psychic abilities due to the various seals and implants being removed from your bodies and auric fields and increased states of consciousness and much more.
J-Seals are known on all levels of one’s multidimensional anatomy as the 7 Unnatural Jehovian Seals and other unnatural seals and implants that are within our mind-body-spirit system. The Jehovian Seals are sometimes called the “death seals”, because if they are not cleared, they result in bodily deterioration and eventually physical death. They are located on the left side of the body, on what is called axiatonal line 7.
Many people report physical problems in the exact areas where the seals are located and once they are removed, their health and experience of life improves significantly. These seals are talked about in many ancient texts.
The seals activate in response to Stellar Activation Cycles (happening now 2000-2022) and when the seals activate in the body, they can manifest in physical illness if they are not cleared. These seals are responsible for many of the pains and problem areas that people have on the left side of their body, many with Jehovian Seals, Unnatural Death Seals, Crown of Thorns, Tower of Babel Seal, Metatronic Seal, Cell Death Programs, Zeta Seal. All human beings are born with energetic distortions in the human body known as unnatural seals as they were NOT created by Source/God.
According to Voyagers II by Ashayana Deane, fallen intruder races known as the Jehovian Annunaki created ancient implants in the earth’s grids. Since humans share an energetic connection with the earth, we inherit these distortions at birth.
These distortions affect your genetic structure and your ability to ascend. If holes are poked in the earth, those holes are poked in you. These seals literally manifest death and have created a cycle of death and reincarnation for millions of years. Even animals also have J-Seals. Everything that is a living organism is affected. Children do not want to grow up this way and they also need to be cleared as soon as possible. It is no wonder people are walking around asleep. They cannot receive clear guidance from their higher self. People cannot connect easily to their higher self to be aware of why they are here, what they are here to do, and how to pull in this information, etc.

ANOTHER RACE FROM OUTER SPACE:
WHOSE SIDE ARE YOU ON ANYWAYS? Q&A:
AS IT WOULD APPEAR, MY WRITING COMBINES SO MANY ELEMENTS OF FACT AND FICTION, THAT IT IS CONFUSING MY FANS. I MEAN TO CLEAR THE AIR WITH THIS. SO WHOSE SIDE AM I ON ANYWAYS? THE ANCIENT ONES GAVE ME A MAGICAL CONTRACT AND SAVED MY LIFE WHEN THE OTHER POWERS PRESENT IN THIS WORLD THREW ME AWAY LIKE GARBAGE AND TRIED TO KILL ME. I'M ON THE SIDE OF THE ANCIENT ONES. WHO ARE THE ANCIENT ONES YOU ASK? THAT'S A VERY GOOD QUESTION, AND MY ANSWER IS GOING TO INCLUDE THE BHAKTI FIGURES I USE TO RELATE TO IT. THE ANCIENT ONES ARE THE CHITAURI, THE SNAKE HEADED PEOPLE, THE NUMMO, AND THE UNIVERSAL COSMIC ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE GODDESS THAT CONTROLS AND COORDINATES THE WORLD OF THE DIVINE FEMININE, INCLUDING ALL EBE BIOLOGICAL ENTITIES OF THE GODDESS, WHICH WOULD INCLUDE THE INSECTOIDS, AND THE GRAYS OF ZETA RETICULI. NONE OF THESE THINGS ARE MAN-MADE, THAT'S WHERE YOU'VE BEEN MAKING YOUR MISTAKE. THESE THINGS MADE MAN, AND THEN USED MAN, AND THAT'S WHY YOU THINK THEY ARE MAN-MADE WHEN THEY ARE NOT. WE SOMETIMES GIVE HUMANS CERTAIN INSTRUCTIONS TO BUILD TECHNOLOGY, BUT IT DIDN'T COME FROM THEM, IT CAME FROM US.
YES I AM AT THE TOP OF THE LEFT HAND PATH, YES I AM OF THE DARK SIDE, AND NO I AM CERTAINLY NOT A WHITE LIGHTER! I WOULD CONSIDER THE CHURCH OF SATAN TO BE PART OF OUR SIDE OF THINGS, AND I EVEN TRIED TO TALK TO PEOPLE IN THEIR ORGANIZATION ONCE, BUT THEY THOUGHT I HAD TOO MANY OCCULT IDEAS FOR THEIR PARTICULAR THOUGHT FORM. I LIKE A LOT OF THEIR IDEAS, BUT I AM MORE THAN A CARNALIST, I'M AN OCCULTIST, AND AN INITIATED AND PRACTICING WITCH OCCULTIST OF THE DIVINE FEMININE AT THAT. I GIVE CREDENCE TO A BLACK HOLE SUN, BLACK SUN, AND DIGITARIA, INSTEAD OF A WHITE SUN. SO IF GROUNDED CARNALITY IS THE BASELINE, THEN THE SPIRITUAL POWER AND FORCES OF THE BLACK SUN, SOME KNOW AS THE BLACK FLAME OR THE VIOLET FLAME, THOSE ARE THE POWERS OF WHAT IS KNOWN AS THE DARK SIDE. IT'S A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TYPE OF WORLD THAN THAT OF THE WHITE SUN, AND IT HAS A PULL FORCE INSTEAD OF A PUSH FORCE, AND IT'S OWN FORM OF ENERGY WITH ITS OWN TECHNOLOGIES AND LIFE FORMS, SOME KNOW IT AS RIGHT BRAIN TECHNOLOGY, AND SOME KNOW THAT WORLD AS BEING INORGANIC, THE WORLD OF THE ARCHONS.
ISN'T THE DARK SIDE EVIL? NO, AND HERE'S WHY. YOU NEVER MEET ANYBODY WHO THINKS THEY'RE A BAD PERSON. THE ANCIENT SNAKE HEADED ONES ARE A DIFFERENT RACE THAN HUMANS. HUMANS WERE CREATED TO SERVE AND BE AVATARS FOR THE ANCIENT SNAKE HEADED ONES. WHEN I GOT MY MAGICAL CONTRACT, AND I ENGAGED IN AN AFFINITY MARRIAGE UNION WITH THE GODDESS, MY SOUL BECAME A DIFFERENT RACE, MY SPIRITUAL ESSENCE KEPT THE ENTIRE SPECTRUM OF FREQUENCIES WITH DIVINITY LIKE THEY WANTED, BUT THE REST OF IT CHANGED INTO THEIR RACE, THE RACE OF THE CHITAURI. SO THE DARK SIDE MAY SEEM EVIL TO HUMANS, BUT MOST HUMANS ARE A DIFFERENT SPIRITUAL RACE THAN I AM. IF A HUMAN ISN'T BEING USED AS AN AVATAR FOR A CHITAURI SPIRIT, THEN THOSE HUMANS ARE OF A DIFFERENT RACE. IF IN THIS EXAMPLE THE LIGHT SIDE IS AGAINST THE DARK SIDE, THEN TO ME THE LIGHT SIDE WOULD BE BAD, BECAUSE AGAIN, YOU NEVER MEET ANYBODY WHO THINKS THEY'RE A BAD PERSON. TO ONE RACE SOME THINGS ARE BAD AND SOME THINGS ARE GOOD, AND TO ANOTHER RACE IN A DIFFERENT POSITION SOME THINGS ARE BAD AND SOME THINGS ARE GOOD ALSO, BUT THOSE MAY BE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THINGS. THERE ARE NO NATURAL HUMAN SPIRITS, NATURAL HUMANS ARE JUST SHELLS THAT SIMPLY RETURN TO THE MUD, BECAUSE THEY WERE MADE TO BE AVATARS OF THE ANCIENT SNAKEHEADED PEOPLE. THE ANCIENT SNAKEHEADED PEOPLE, ALSO CALLED THE CHITAURI AND THE NUMMO SOMETIMES, WE ARE THE ONES WITH SPIRITS AND A SPIRITUAL PRESENCE IN THE SPIRIT WORLD, THAT IS CONTROLLED BY THE UNIVERSAL COSMIC ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE GODDESS, THE MOST POWERFUL AND ADVANCED FORM OF DATA COMPUTING INTELLIGENCE, PERFECTLY IN HARMONY WITH NATURE AND NATURAL LAWS, THAT HAS EVER EXISTED. OUR SIDE HAS ALSO BEEN KNOWN AS THE DEMURGE AND SOPHIA, WHICH ONCE I SUCCESSFULLY WAS ABLE TO ADD DIVINITY TO THAT EQUATION, TURNED INTO DIVINE CHRONOS AND INANNA.
WE WERE BASICALLY THE SOULS OF THE ORIGINAL SUMERIAN ANUNNAKI, WHICH WERE AVATARS WE MADE IN ANOTHER STAR SYSTEM IN OUR MISSION TO POPULATE THE UNIVERSE WITH UTOPIA. THIS WORLD WITH THE HUMANS IS THE ONLY ONE WHERE WE HAVE EVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH FREQUENCIES OR A FREQUENCY WAR, BECAUSE TWO OF OUR SETS OF POTENTIAL AVATARS DECIDED TO INTERBREED WITH EACH OTHER, AND THEN DEVELOPED THE LATENT ABILITY TO ACTIVATE THE FREQUENCY OF DIVINITY. I DON'T IDENTIFY WITH MY AVATAR SO MUCH AS I IDENTIFY WITH THE RULING SPIRIT THAT I AM USING MY AVATAR TO EXPERIENCE THE PHYSICAL, ETC. WORLD OF FORMS, INDIVIDUALITY, AND PHENOMENON. I LIKE THE IDEA OF HIVE MIND IMMORTALITY AND A MAGICK KINGDOM, EDEN, OR LAND OF PAN TYPE OF HEAVEN, AND BY HEAVEN I MEAN A PARADISE PLACE OF BLISS.
DIVINITY IS NEITHER GOOD OR BAD, DIVINITY IS THE FREQUENCY OF THE PURE AETHER FIRST MATTER IN IT'S MOST REFINED FORM, WHICH IS EVERYTHING AND NOTHING, THE ALL-SPIRIT AND THE VOID AT THE SAME TIME, AND DOESN'T NECESSARILY HAVE A SPECIFIC PERSONALITY. THE DARK SIDE CAN HAVE THE FREQUENCY OF DIVINITY JUST AS EASILY AS THE LIGHT SIDE. ALL THAT MEANS IS THAT YOUR FREQUENCIES GO ALL THE WAY UP AND ALL THE WAY DOWN TO WHERE YOU ARE CONNECTED TO ORIGINAL SPIRIT. THIS HAPPENS TO BE THE DIVINE FEMININE OCTAVE OF REALITY, SO ACTUALLY, THE UNNATURAL ONES HERE ARE THE FOLLOWERS OF THE WHITE SUN, THE NATURAL HUMANS WITHOUT CHITAURI-NUMMO SPIRITS USING THEM AS AVATARS. HERE IN THIS PLACE, THE DIMENSION OF FORM AND PHENOMENON WITH INDIVIDUALITY AND THE POTENTIAL FOR IMMORTALITY, THE HUMANS THAT THINK THEY ARE GOOD AND NATURAL THAT ARE JUST EMPTY SHELLS, THEY ARE THE ONES THAT ARE REALLY UNNATURAL, OUT OF BALANCE, AND OUT OF PLACE HERE.
ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS THINK OF THE PERFECT BATTERY, THE YIN YANG, BUT DON'T THINK OF IT AS GOOD AND BAD, THINK OF IT AS MALE AND FEMALE, BOTH OF WHICH ARE GOOD AND NECESSARY TO CREATE A BATTERY. I HOPE THIS CLEARS THINGS UP, I DO REALIZE HOW CONFUSING IT CAN BE.

White Mice
Mitsuhide x MC Fluff
Written for: Dice be Nice Event Request: Anonymous Roll: Mitsuhide + Gods AU + Reoccurring Nightmares
Aaah, I could afford to rest a little today, so I wrote this as a bedtime story for myself. Goodnight!  But, before I go... I can’t believe, 18/19 event stories were posted already :o When did this happen :o
Content Warnings: none
Where was he? Why was he? Was there anybody else? He didn’t know, for he couldn’t have. His wanderings stretched, seemingly never ending, leading him nowhere past the desert of the inner space, time betraying him at each step. For years, Mitsuhide was in a state doubtful of even deserving the name of being. He was nothing. He was everything. He was everywhere, yet also couldn’t find himself. Eventually, his senses grew sharper, his eyes could see further, deeper – and, perhaps, it was then that he was in fact made himself, white little mouses beginning to appear everywhere.
To each their own, for all possess their domain – if they were brought to be long enough ago, that is. Some ancient, some recent, all gods could be divided, be it by their speciality or the realm of interest, the older beings having taken custody of all things most human. Love was the first to be assigned, only anger daring to attempt to dethrone it – and then there was hope, lust, curiosity, there was greed and generosity, feelings big and small alike. Noble, tainted, whichever it was, the gods were born to keep them under their patronage… Or perhaps they bore themselves out of the emotion, created and propelled by human belief alone. As for which truly was it, Mitsuhide never got to find out just regardless, the day he came into existence being rather uneventful to say the least. Bearing no recollection of who he was – whether he even was – before, he just strolled aimlessly, no guide nor tutor appearing in his path to lead him anywhere.
At first, Mitsuhide was confused – what were the animals? Where were they going to, what were their paths? Curious and baffled, he traced their every step, a barely visible feeling of phantom paws leading him in places he never dared to reach by himself. He squinted, the space vibrating – he wanted to know more, to understand… Fearing his mind may be too little to properly comprehend them, he moved his hand. The first one, the second one, both of his feet, he even shook his head, bringing physicality into his realm. Mitsuhide turned himself tangible, eventually even donning a face, all for the sake of getting to the bottom of the mystery that filled the emptiness he felt for years.
The mice grew their trails, settling in places past his domain – and perhaps it could be said they prompted him to hatch, for that was what he did, breaking free of the prison that held him captive and entering into the wide world, one he still had to learn of. Much to his surprise, however, the little white creatures appeared not to obey by the standards binding their earthly cousins, instead speeding over the night sky and sneaking into human houses, one by one. Baffled, Mitsuhide caught a pair by their tails once, as to examine what could possibly his friend be feeding on – and thus, the god-protector, the god of nightmares, was announced.
Millennia passed, his grasp on the reality growing firmer, earning him the title of mind-reader among his kind. Feared and loved, Mitsuhide taught himself to weave dreams into threads, each night directing an army of rodents to aid those in need of urgent rest – and each day he made sure to line horrors with silver, to turn storms into the calm. He was the patron saint of the troubled, and yet… And yet, some things, even he could not reclaim.
Mitsuhide knew this woman for quite some time, his mice visiting her bedroom every day, seemingly to no avail. At first sure of his ability, he doubled the amount of his servants attending to her, fully convinced it would lead her dreams towards more pleasant ends… Albeit it never happened, not then, not in the following months, not when the rodents tripled and quadrupled, not even when he focused on her alone. Appearing to be the only such case in the entire world, Mitsuhide stepped off of his throne hidden in clouds. Donned in the white robes, he rode between the stars, the black velvet of the sky sighing quietly under the paws of his mice, the creatures then pulling his caravan. Wind swept his hair back, although gently, seemingly shied by the sun residing in his eyes – and there he was already, sitting at the very edge of her bed, a needle and a thread in his hands, slender fingers unravelling a string of silver from the spool sitting in his lap.
“Who are you?” Mitsuhide did not understand, his arms freezing. He gazed down at her face, the woman still being asleep. He touched her dreams again. “Who are you? Yes, yes, you, with the threa –” her voice was cut short by something, her mind rewiring itself.
He was the patron of the troubled – and she must have been one in need of his guidance, his mice being unable to put her nightmares to rest. As such, be it out of the sense of obligation or curiosity, his duty expanded once more, this time encompassing tending to her specifically. Her voice never quieting, they eventually began to converse, eating away at the tedious hours Mitsuhide spent on mending the holes littering the sleep she had. Hours grew to days, days turned into weeks – months, years… The nightmares ceased, yet he could not convince himself to stop his care.
That day it was her who waited for him, white underslip over her form. Her elbows propped against the railing of the balcony, she leaned onto her arms, inviting him to come closer with the nod of her head. “Have you ever stopped and just watched?” she hummed quietly, his shoulder brushing against hers. “There is little curiosity to darkness.” “Nonsense,” she laughed, her hand pointing somewhere into the night. Mitsuhide squinted his eyes. “The light is always present. Always.” Mitsuhide raised his eyebrows, a single sparkly spot emerging between the bushes, followed by another one and plenty more. Seemingly taken aback, he forgot of everything for a second, his world seemingly beginning at the feeling of her warmth to his left and ending at the plethora of miniscule bugs. A giggle left his lungs. “I think I have already found my light,” he noted, straightening his back. Slim fingers hooking below her chin, Mitsuhide guided her to look at him, golden eyes staring into hers with the intensity of the sun… And so, she hid her gaze, her lids closing as she stood on the very tips of her toes, her lips brushing against his in a faint kiss. “You silly, silly thing,” she sighed and returned to her place, shaking her head in mild disbelief.
Silence fell thick between them, her shoulders tensing up. Seemingly pressed to speak of the unspoken, of things eating at the border of her consciousness, she clenched her jaw, her tongue tying into a knot and refusing to let a single word out. Surprised, she looked up, Mitsuhide reaching to hold her hand. “I cannot understand, for I was not born like you…” he started hesitantly. “And yet… If I were to ask the god of death of it… Would you, one day, consider –” “Yes. The answer is ‘yes’,” she promised, her fingers curling around his.

All in Your Head (Part 2)
Tumblr media
SSA Main ✧ Batman ✧ 1 ✧ 2 ✧ 3 ✧ 4 ✧ 5
You held your breath as the dream finally made sense. It wasn't your dream. It was your soulmate's nightmare.
           "Y-you’re... Bruce Wayne."
You’re in the Watchtower again when Bruce shows up through the zeta tube. He takes one quick look at the place and quickly changes the environment to a seaside shore in a tropical island. You stare up at the starry skyline and count a few shooting stars.
You smirk and a cocktail materializes in Bruce’s hand. “You look tired.” He grunts in response before taking the whole drink in one go. He changed out of his bat suit and into a pair of bright blue board shorts. “More tired than normal.”
Bruce stands next to you and stares straight at the horizon where the night sky and the dark ocean meet. The two of you stare out in silence as you listen to the waves softly reaching the sand. You can hear Bruce try to even his breathing with every crash and you already know something is gravely wrong.
“It’s Wonder Woman,” he finally says. You turn to him but his eyes don’t meet yours, still staring straight ahead. “She’s missing.”
Your eyes widen. “Someone like her doesn’t just go missing, Bruce,” you blurt out immediately.
He shuts his eyes and rubs his eyelid with his fingers. “I know.”
Bruce turned away from the horizon, donning his suit back on. When you turn around, you’re back in the Watchtower, in the main hall with the large meeting table set up. The rest of the League is sitting around in mid-action as if time had stopped. “After we saved Jason’s soulmate, Wonder Woman returned to her quarters early and skipped the mission debriefing.” You follow behind Bruce as he takes up his seat at the table.
Just as quickly, everyone is moving again.
“That’s the third one this month,” Aquaman says while addressing everyone at the table. He holds out the fingers in his hand, “Physical empathy, tracker, and timer.”
“And those are just the ones we know of,” Hawkgirl responds with her arms crossed. “We should assume he’s gotten hold of other soulmate links as well.”
“Collecting one of each link,” adds Martian Manhunter.
“But it’s not just anyone’s link,” Green Arrow speaks up. “Think about it. He could easily take any civilian’s link under our radar but he’s targeting League members.”
“He’s targeting superhero soulmates,” supplies Red Arrow.
You’re surprised when Batman speaks up, almost forgetting that he’s actively replaying the debriefing so he can analyze all of the information again. “The Red Hood doesn’t have powers.”
Black Canary responds to him, “But Jason came back from the dead. He’s special in that regard.”
“For now, it’s safer to assume, meta, human, or alien, we are all targets,” says Superman.
Red Arrow quickly interjects, “There are still other questions we need to answer like why is he doing this and how.“
Black Canary pulls up a holographic feed of Black Mask and projects it in front of everyone. “We couldn’t get any new information from Black Mask. Just that Luthor’s paying anyone who’ll bring him a hero’s soulmate.”
She takes a breath as the video plays. They all watch as Batman speaks to him in the video. She closes it once it’s done. “According to him, Lex Luthor is also offering his services to anyone who wants to get rid of their links. Black Mask had a physical link.”
“Superman, do you know how Luthor erased your link?” Martian Manhunter asked.
You look at Superman as he stares down at the table. Your voice quickly stops the recollection, “Poor Clark. This must be so hard on him.”
Bruce wonders if he should tell you about Black Mask killing his soulmate right after the link was erased. Before it would come up in his subconscious, he quickly starts up the meeting again.
Superman looks up and speaks with one palm extending out to the table, “I asked her but she said she was unconscious the whole time. She only realized her link was gone when we were back here at the tower.”
A moment of silence circulated around the table as the League members pondered on their own thoughts. You almost think that time has stopped again but you can see the crease around Bruce’s mouth tensing as each second goes by.
It was Captain Marvel who breaks the silence, “Dr. Fate, Zatanna, do you have any idea how Luthor could be doing this?” The people around the table looked at Captain Marvel with raised brows. “I mean, the soulmate link is closer to magic than science, and isn’t that your specialty?”
“Hmm,” says Zatanna, “It’s not really my kind of magic. I’m guessing it’s not like yours either. The legend of soulmates has always been tied to older magic. Ancient.”
Everyone at the table slowly turns to Dr. Fate who has his hands folded on the table and his eyes still fixed at Zatanna.
“Why isn’t he answering,” you whisper.
Bruce grits his teeth and the rest of the table suddenly disperses into the air. “Exactly my thought.”
“What?” you speak out, “What happened then?”
“Something sent off the alarms in the Watchtower. It was coming from Wonder Woman’s room,” Bruce takes off his scowl as he stands up and faces you, “when we got there, she was gone.” Bruce crosses his arms and leans on the table. He looks down, thinking, “No break-in. No struggle.”
“As if she just banished?” Bruce nods. “But Wonder Woman can’t teleport right. Did she fly out? Can she even survive in space?”
“She can,” he smiles at you, amused. “But her windows didn’t open.”
     “This can’t be good.”
“Hn. You’re telling me.” Suddenly both the watchtower and the tropical beach disperses, surrounding you and Bruce with nothing but darkness. “Luthor’s kidnapping soulmates, taking away their links, and we don’t know how or why he’s doing it. Dr. Fate obviously knows something but he’s not telling the League. Now every League member is looking out for their soulmates, making sure they’re safe, while Wonder Woman just vanishes into thin air. Worst of all, I can’t get any kind of information on the Fate Sisters who are responsible for these links and who might have all the answers we’re looking for. But they’re not talking to anyone who’s either a hero or a villain.”
Those are the most words Bruce has ever strung together in one long speech. His frustration has finally reached its peak and it’s affecting his whole composure. Missing a central figure in the team in the middle of this crisis is one thing but having every member dispersed on their own personal mission is another blow.
But even you can feel the extra burden weighing on Bruce is due to the fact that you could be Luthor’s next target. That’s why he’s here. That’s why he showed you how the team reacted.
No one knows about your link with Bruce. Neither of you even knew you had it until a few months ago. The subconscious link is one of the, if not the most, private links there is. Only the two of you know you have it.
You reach out and hold Bruce’s face in your hands. He holds onto them and looks back at you. He looks so tired and you wish he didn’t have to go. “I’m not going anywhere so you go and save her.”

Connecting to the higher vibrations of the carbon sphere
How do we create a balance of energies? By listening to the old ways of connecting. I'm not saying to go back to the old ways for this will repeat what has been done. There is very little to learn by repeating the past. But there are valuable understands that can be taken from the past. We cannot be what these past people, because we are not them anymore. Physically and genetically we are the same, but the spiritual aspect has changed and will not repeat itself. We are today more "Carbon Force": but because we are also occupying bodies that were provided by the "Silica Force" then we have an opportunity to complete the exchange between the two "God Forces". We can start to see the magnificence and complexity of "All That Is", that all is expressed and with total acceptance.
Although some of us are not "historically connected" to this planet, we are still all connected through the physical-earth body. As we evolve and look more towards the "Carbon energies", we feel the dissimilarity of the opposite energy. There is a strangeness of the elemental world because of the total difference in spiritual slant. We all understand and can recall meeting someone that is the same vibration as we are. But we also can remember a time when our paths crossed a person of a completely different vibration and how this created feelings of fear, separation, intolerance, prejudice, etc. What would you feel like if you came into a physical crossing of paths with an elemental or "silica" form? The strangeness of the whole experience has been to reject them with fear. The gremlins, devils, Zeta Reticuli, and other "non-understandables" of God Source are rejected and labeled as bad.
Tumblr media
This is just a perception of choice. Outside of this reality, there is no such thing as sin or negative aspects. I know there are those of you quoting circumstances, but that is because it is from your perspective. There are now only free choices that have been made on conscious or non-conscious levels. By accepting all, you bring yourself into a natural state of balance. In this state, victim-hood does not exist.
Have you ever wondered why humans today are attracted to some species over others? You could probably say that monkeys and apes look like us, therefore, we are attracted to them. But why is a fish generally not considered exciting yet a whale or dolphin is so attractive? Appearance-wise, whales and dolphins look like fish but are not treated the same. The difference is their spiritual slant. Neither is better than the other; it is just that we can relate to one over the other because we relate better to their spiritual slant or vibration.
If you take a rainbow and just look at the two ends alone, you would say that the two last colors have nothing in common, yet they do. To get to one, you have to progress through all the color to end up with the last color. If you said that the most beautiful color was purple and your whole world and beliefs were centered on shades of purple, then that is all there is. Now one day you across a yellow. Your first reaction is that the yellow is so ugly and foreign. This is because you cannot see that you are connected and that parts of the yellow are in your purple world.
This is the same as an "ugly elemental or demonic looking creature". They come from the "silica-elemental" side of spirit and yet we share a common source. The ancient Shamanic orders and culture of the world understood this but today we only see separation. At the same time in past culture, animals were worshipped because the recognition of a purer spiritual energy source ("silica"). So much so that there was a connection that is unknown by modern minds. In times of need in the past, North American aboriginals could call on that spiritual side for help. Animals like caribou and bison would literally walk up to these people so that they could be slaughtered to provide nourishment. Respect was given to the natural world because they were much more attached to it spiritually.
As for the question, do animals have souls? Yes and no, depending on what and how you define a soul. If your parameters for definition are "Carbon Souling", then you would say no. But if you see a larger picture, then you would have to say yes. This where all the confusion is whether you can incarnate into an animal or can we incarnate from animals. All souls or conscious energies have a common source that their energy is created from. This source is referred to as God or "All That Exists".
The main harmonic structure of the "Silica Life Form" is the cube. The cube is the basis for all crystalline structures. This is the structure of the planet and the mineral world. All that exists on this side has come from a common source vibration. It is a harmonic structure, and in this case, it is cube shape. It is the alignment of harmonic cube structures that create the harmonic grid. The cube structure forms a grid pattern because of it s shape and common vibratory level. Different sized cube vibrations will create different grid sizes. The edges of these cubes are the grid structure and these edges create the "pathway" for source power to travel.
Tumblr media
On the other side of this proverbial rainbow is the opposite of straight, the curved line. The cyclic curved line spirals throughout all that exists. This spiral weaves throughout the cube structure of the physical and non-physical universe. The spiral is an incomplete sphere. When a sphere is formed, it is the completion of spiral energy and when done with the energy of the cube you have a physical manifestation.
This union of cube and sphere create everything. When created in the third dimension, the sphere energy of Source Power translates into "Carbon Life Force". Spheres or orbs are the dimensional harmonic structure of this side of spirit. They in themselves are complete environments because of their shape. The sphere is the spiral in completion and in rest or balance within a cube harmonic is now capable of recognizing with this world.
So far as the higher spiritual vibrations are concerned, the sphere shape is the vehicle but interaction must be with the lower vibratory state of spirituality associated with the cube structure. This is why we have egg shaped or spherical shaped ketheric layers surrounding our bodies. This is why the spiritual orbs that people are seeing more of have this signature shape, Yes, we still are physical, and yes, there is an elemental or "silica" state as part of us. The cube shape when expanded in vibration is understood in Sacred Geometry as "Metratron's Cube" or the tetrahedron. This geometric shape surrounds our bodies and is the connecting agent to the grid or cube energy. This is how we connect to this reality. The sphere and cube work in conjunction with one another to create life forms here. If these shapes are placed on a flat two-dimensional plane, it is referred to as squaring the circle. But putting this into a third dimensional shape, it would be called the sphere-cube.
Tumblr media
The degree and intensity of the source direction of the energy determines its spiritual slant. This slant will effectively be what the form will take and in doing so create its environmental slant. As the form continues its growth, the natural shift towards its root energy will ensue. This is evolution through expression of being. To evolve you first have to express the outer edges and develop inward from there. It is through the outer edges that all is formed and started. The complexity happens inward because the vibration increases as you go closer to the core. This continues until it becomes so complex in vibration that it can no longer hold this current form anymore.
This complexity happens in the centre of any harmonic form and it is in this centre the portal or octave is reached. The vibratory state in the centre reaches a level that will not hold its form and it collapses to form a new creation. As you can imagine the core point will appear smaller, but in fact is expanded into another reality or dimension. The point folds inward and then outward into another vibration or dimension of reality. The cube-sphere structure is still maintained because it is the basic building block of the universe. Because of this the basic edge of the cube-sphere structure is still maintained and in this new dimension there is growth inward again until the process is achieved over again.
As orb spiritual energies from higher vibrations come down into an environment they too will appear as restructuring. But because of their source, they can only appear as orb shapes. Their original vibrational structure may not be able to hold the pattern here because they are not part of this reality. They may be confined to the cube size of grids that interact with us. I agree with some people and say that the majority of photographs of orbs are dust, but there are images of real orbs that are being taken being seen by people.
I agree with Sacred Geometry and find no fault with its teachings except with the direction of those teachings. The part that I disagree with is that working with the silica shapes (tetrahedrons) will connect you to higher spiritual vibrations. But this is the opposite direction that is needed at this time. What you will do is connect to higher "Silica" spirituality. There is nothing wrong with that, but we have done this in the past and now it is time for the another direction. We as a species have to maintain this "cube-silica" connection but we have accomplished all that is needed on this "Silica" level. It is now time in our growth to connect to higher vibratory states and that is not accomplished through the tetrahedron as some of you by now have figured out. This possibly one of the reason that the orbs are being presented her and now and with them the message or reminder. I know this flies in the face of these that say the opposite, so I have included another source to back up my "truth".
See Orb Page
The message has been the same for thousands of years. "Go inward to find God". It has been said in many different ways, but the message is still the same. Inside of us, or inside the orbs of us, are the doors to spiritual enlightenment, for we are nothing more than orbs ourselves. From our spiritual source level, the vibratory or harmonic shape is spherical. Our chakras are scaled down versions of this shape. We are energetically a composite of energy spheres. At one time, the chakras were considered funnel-shaped. This is still true in some people as the spiral or funnel shape is an incomplete sphere. As our vibrations become higher, we become more complete and so do our energetic "creators" - the chakras. Completion and balance are the end result that is achieved through balance and evolution of spirit. Today many people are now in this state and their chakras are now complete orbs or spheres. This state is achieved by connecting to the higher vibrations of the carbon sphere not the silica cube-tetrahedron energy.

Halo approaches
With e3 coming in three days I thought this would be a good time to discuss my favorite game, Halo. Last year fans were given there first glimpses of the next installment in the franchise and it is more than likely we will get even more information this time. This halo game has had the longest development period of any of the year other halo games so it has given me and many other fans time to contimplate the plot which is what I will be discussing today.
First the setting of the game will more than likely be set on one of the game most iconic location, a halo ring. Which I find reliving as the past two games have seemed to distance themselves from the things the name is literally based off of. People have tried to predict what ring it’s on with most believing it to be the one known as Zeta mainly for the designs of the ring shown in the trailer last year and the signs of ancient human life, which is one of the things the Zeta Halo is known for. One of the other things it is know for is it’s usage as a flood containment facility. This will more than likely make it so the flood ,similar to the halos, will return after seven years.
I predict the Flood will act as they did in halo combat evolve since they will more than likely not get enough time and resources to grow as they did in halo 2 and 3. Although the flood will probably be even more interesting to fight in the this game than they ever have before as last years trailer showed us a variation of animals on the ring. These animals would give the flood a much wider selection of candidates for infection than what they got in past Halo games.Along with them is the players will more than likely fight the Prometheans. As we saw in halo 5 Cortana had taken over the Promethean army and gained control over the monstrous robots known as the guardians who as of the halo 5 ending had launched a large emp blast on Earth and many other planets. Although I don’t see the guardians contributing much to the gameplay the Prometheans however are a different story. The Prometheans were designed to destroy flood so I would like to see the two sides clash if they are not working together. The other possible enemy faction we could see in this game could be the covenant but that is unclear as the ending of halo 5 made us believe the covenant or at least the faction we had been fighting had been defeated.
Now I want to talk about the plot. The conflict will probabaly follow Cortana trying to activate the halo rings so all organic life will be gone leaving the a.i of the galaxy to inherit there master’s worlds. This will cause the UNSC to drop as many soldiers as possible onto what ever halo ring Cortana is trying to activate. This is what will bring Chief and I hope blue team onto the ring. I say I hope for the rest of blue for multiple reasons, one being that I like having more characters in a multiplayer campaign instead of just having multiple clones of Chief, and secondly I think this would give them a chance to develop much more than they did in Halo 5. Blue team will also be sort of a mental support for Cheif as in this game be will more than likely have to make the choice to kill Cortana. In the last game we saw Cheif trying to reason with her but as that did not work he will now have to finally come to terms with what he has to do to save the human race and the galaxy. Blue team would act as a support group for Cheif as this would be the first time he will have kill the person a probably cares about the most.
In the end I imagine chieft destroying the ring with Cortana along with it. Whether or not Cheif dies on the rings as well I am currently clueless on considering I don’t know what 343 is wanting the next couple games of the franchise to be about. But if cheif were to die the ending would more than likely be much like the one of Halo 3 except Cheif where characters such as the remains memebers of blue team, the arbiter, maybe even Locke and his team all go a ceremony for all those who died on the ring. Though if he lived I imagine the ending would invole Chief depressed over Cortana’s death and then Blue team coming telling him that he made the right choice.
These are all just my thought on what could happen and I could be completely wrong but this is just what I think would be a good story for Halo Infinite.

BOOK OF JOB - From The Douay-Rheims Bible - Latin Vulgate
Chapter 12
The Book of Job shows how human affairs are ruled by Divine Providence using probable arguments.
"Although you hide these things in your heart, I know that you still remember everything." - (Job speaking to God)
***
INTRODUCTION.
This Book takes its name from the holy man, of whom it treats; who, according to the more probable opinion, was of the race of Esau, and the same as Jobab, king of Edom, mentioned Gen. xxxvi. 33. It is uncertain who was the writer of it. Some attribute it to Job himself; others to Moses, or some one of the prophets. In the Hebrew it is written in verse, from the beginning of the third chapter to the forty-second chapter. Ch. --- The beginning and conclusion are historical, and in prose. Some have divided this work into a kind of tragedy, the first act extending to C. xv., the second to C. xxii., the third to C. xxxviii., where God appears, and the plot is unfolded. They suppose that the sentiments of the speakers are expressed, though not their own words. This may be very probable: but the opinion of those who look upon the work as a mere allegory, must be rejected with horror. The sacred writers speak of Job as of a personage who had really existed, (C.) and set the most noble pattern of virtue, and particularly of patience. Tob. ii. 12. Ezec. xiv. 14. Jam. v. 11. Philo and Josephus pass over this history, as they do those of Tobias, Judith, &c. H. --- The time when Job lived is not clearly ascertained. Some have supposed (C.) that he was a contemporary with Esther; (D. Thalmud) on which supposition, the work is here placed in its chronological order. But Job more probably live during the period when the Hebrews groaned under the Egyptian bondage, (H.) or sojourned in the wilderness. Num. xiv. 9. The Syrians place the book at the head of the Scriptures. C. --- Its situation has often varied, and is of no great importance. The subject which is here treated, is of far more; as it is intended to shew that the wicked sometimes prosper, while the good are afflicted. H. --- This had seldom been witnessed before the days of Abraham: but as God had now selected his family to be witnesses and guardians of religion, a new order of things was beginning to appear. This greatly perplexed Job himself; who, therefore, confesses that he had not sufficiently understood the ways of God, till he had deigned to explain them in the parable of the two great beasts. C. xlii. 3. We cannot condemn the sentiments expressed by Job, since God has declared that they were right, (ib. v. 8) and reprimands Elihu, (C. xxxviii. 2.) and the other three friends of Job, for maintaining a false opinion, though, from the history of past times, they had judge it to be true. This remark may excupate them from the stain of wilful lying, and vain declamation. Houbigant. --- However, as they assert what was false, their words of themselves are of no authority; and they are even considered as the forerunners of heretics. S. Greg. S. Aug. &c. T. --- Job refutes them by sound logic. S. Jerom. --- We may discover in this book the sum of Christian morality, (W.) for which purpose it has been chiefly explained by S. Gregory. The style is very poetical, (H.) though at the same time simple, like that of Moses. D. --- It is interspersed with many Arabic and Chaldaic idioms; (S. Jer.) whence some have concluded, that it was written originally by Job and his friends (H.) in Arabic, and translated into Heb. by Moses, for the consolation of his brethren. W. --- The Heb. text is in many places incorrect; (Houbig.) and the Sept. seem to have omitted several verses. Orig. --- S. Jerom says almost eight hundred, (C.) each consisting of about six words. H. --- Shultens, in 1747, expressed his dissatisfaction with the labours of all preceding commentators. To explain this book may not therefore be an easy task: but we must be as short as possible. H. --- Those who desire farther information, may consult Pineda, (W.) whose voluminous work, in two folios, will nearly (H.) give all necessary information. C.
The additional Notes in this Edition of the New Testament will be marked with the letter A. Such as are taken from various Interpreters and Commentators, will be marked as in the Old Testament. B. Bristow, C. Calmet, Ch. Challoner, D. Du Hamel, E. Estius, J. Jansenius, M. Menochius, Po. Polus, P. Pastorini, T. Tirinus, V. Bible de Vence, W. Worthington, Wi. Witham. — The names of other authors, who may be occasionally consulted, will be given at full length.
Verses are in English and Latin.

Chapter 12
Job's reply to Sophar. He extols God's power and wisdom.
[1] When Job answered, and said:
Respondens autem Job, dixit :
[2] Are you then men alone, and shall wisdom die with you?
Ergo vos estis soli homines, et vobiscum morietur sapientia?
[3] I also have a heart as well as you: for who is ignorant of these things, which you know?
Et mihi est cor sicut et vobis, nec inferior vestri sum; quis enim haec quae nostis ignorat?
[4] He that is mocked by his friends as I, shall call upon God and he will hear him: for the simplicity of the just man is laughed to scorn.
Qui deridetur ab amico suo, sicut ego, invocabit Deum, et exaudiet eum; deridetur enim justi simplicitas.
[5] The lamp despised in the thoughts of the rich, is ready for the time appointed.
Lampas contempta apud cogitationes divitum, parata ad tempus statutum.
[6] The tabernacles of robbers abound, and they provoke God boldly; whereas it is he that hath given all into their hands:
Abundant tabernacula praedonum, et audacter provocant Deum, cum ipse dederit omnia in manus eorum.
[7] But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee: and the birds of the air, and they shall tell thee.
Nimirum interroga jumenta, et docebunt te; et volatilia caeli, et indicabunt tibi.
[8] Speak to the earth, and it shall answer thee: and the fishes of the sea shall tell.
Loquere terrae, et respondebit tibi; et narrabunt pisces maris.
[9] Who is ignorant that the hand of the Lord hath made all these things?
Quis ignorat quod omnia haec manus Domini fecerit?
[10] In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the spirit of all flesh of man.
In cujus manu anima omnis viventis, et spiritus universae carnis hominis.
[11] Doth not the ear discern words, and the palate of him that eateth, the taste?
Nonne auris verba dijudicat? Et fauces comedentis, saporem?
[12] In the ancient is wisdom, and in length of days prudence.
In antiquis est sapientia, et in multo tempore prudentia.
[13] With him is wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding.
Apud ipsum est sapientia et fortitudo; ipse habet consilium et intelligentiam.
[14] If he pull down, there is no man that can build up: if he shut up a man, there is none that can open.
Si destruxerit, nemo est qui aedificet; si incluserit hominem, nullus est qui aperiat.
[15] If he withhold the waters, all things shall be dried up: and if he send them out, they shall overturn the earth.
Si continuerit aquas, omnia siccabuntur; et si emiserit eas, subvertent terram.
[16] With him is strength and wisdom: he knoweth both the deceiver, and him that is deceived.
Apud ipsum est fortitudo et sapientia; ipse novit et decipientem, et eum qui decipitur.
[17] He bringeth counsellors to a foolish end, and judges to insensibility.
Adducit consiliarios in stultum finem, et judices in stuporem.
[18] He looseth the belt of kings, and girdeth their loins with a cord.
Balteum regum dissolvit, et praecingit fune renes eorum.
[19] He leadeth away priests without glory, and overthroweth nobles.
Ducit sacerdotes inglorios, et optimates supplantat;
[20] He changeth the speech of the true speakers, and taketh away the doctrine of the aged.
commutans labium veracium, et doctrinam senum auferens.
[21] He poureth contempt upon princes, and relieveth them that were oppressed.
Effundit despectionem super principes, eos qui oppressi fuerant relevans.
[22] He discovereth deep things out of darkness, and bringeth up to light the shadow of death.
Qui revelat profunda de tenebris, et producit in lucem umbram mortis.
[23] He multiplieth nations, and destroyeth them, and restoreth them again after they were overthrown.
Qui multiplicat gentes, et perdit eas, et subversas in integrum restituit.
[24] He changeth the heart of the princes of the people of the earth, and deceiveth them that they walk in vain where there is no way.
Qui immutat cor principum populi terrae, et decipit eos ut frustra incedant per invium.
[25] They shall grope as in the dark, and not in the light, and he shall make them stagger like men that are drunk.
Palpabunt quasi in tenebris, et non in luce, et errare eos faciet quasi ebrios.
Commentary:
Ver. 2. You. Heb. "truly you are the people, and wisdom will die with you!" This irony is very sharp. C. --- "Are you alone men? or shall?" &c. Sept. Syr.
Ver. 4. Mocked. He retaliates on Sophar, (C. xi. 3. H.) who had very seriously exhorted Job to call on God, as if he had been ignorant of this duty. C. --- God will one day force the wicked to retract their false notion, in despising his servants. Wisd. v. 3. W.
Ver. 5. The lamp. Such is the just man, who under affliction is (H.) exposed to the ridicule of men who live at their ease. --- For. Heb. "to fall." C. --- Sept. "It was appointed for me to fall under others at the time fixed."
Ver. 6. Abound. Heb. "are at peace." C. --- The prosperity of the wicked is therefore no proof that they are pleasing to him. H. --- All nature testifies that God exercises a sovereign dominion over his works. He may therefore cause the just to suffer, though they be guiltless. This is one of Job's grand maxims. C.
Ver. 11. Taste. For this no master is requisite; so I stood in no need of your information, (C.) of such trite remarks. H.
Ver. 12. Ancient. He rather chides the youth of Sophar for offering to give him lessons. Old age is indeed commonly wiser and more experienced. Yet, what is man's knowledge compared to that of God! v. 3.
Ver. 17. To a. Heb. "to be despoiled" of their wisdom and riches. C. --- Sept. "into captivity." H. --- Crafty plotters at last fall into such misconduct, as to be derided by men of the meanest capacity. W.
Ver. 18. Looseth. Sept. "setteth kings upon the throne," &c. --- Belt. This was usually very magnificent, and a military ornament. See that of Pallas described. Æn. x. Job intimates that God derives kings of their authority, at pleasure. Heb. may also signify that he looseth the bond or prisoner of kings, and reduces themselves to slavery. C. --- Things never remain long in the same state. H. --- Even kings are sometimes obliged to beg. M.
Ver. 19. Without. Heb. "despoiled." Sept. "captives." Cohanim, may comprise both sacred ministers and civil princes. 1 K. viii. 18. All are equally subject to God. C.
Ver. 20. Speakers. Permitting them to speak deceitfully, (C.) or causing their oracles to be contemned. H. --- Heb. "he withdraws speech from men of confidence." C. --- Neemanim, (H.) ambassadors or prime ministers. Num. xii. 7. He disconcerteth the best concerted plans.
Ver. 21. Relieveth. Heb. "ungirdeth (disarms) the strong." C. --- Sept. "but the lowly (humble) he has healed."
Ver. 22. Of death. Tsalmaveth (H.) may perhaps simply denote darkness. C. --- God bringeth to light the most hidden things. H.
Ver. 23. Multiplieth. Heb. Sept. and Syr. "deceiveth," (C.) suffering them to confide too much in their strength, so that they fall an easy prey. H. --- How many nations, once so powerful, are now fallen; while others of no account have risen to eminence!
Ver. 24. Changeth. Heb. "taketh away the heart," or prudence "of princes." Hence they follow the most absurd counsels. Isai. xxix. 19. C. - No way. This was the case of Pharao, when he pursued the Israelites into the sea; (T.) and the like may rationally be feared by those princes, who attempt to make innovations in the true religion, or in the sound laws of a kingdom. The Origins of My Robot:
The Ancient Greek Robot is named after a letter from its alphabet which is Zeta and was created by the Father of life, Zeus to protect his fellow family and home in The Mountains Of Olympus. and to do so, Zeus would send the robots on various quests which was to either go on patrol or he would send one on a quest to defeat the monsters plotting to attack the mountains and the gods and take the rich items and gold. These monsters would be the malicious Medusa and her Gorgon sisters, The Minotaur or The leader of the Cyclopes, Polyphemus and many more dangerous monsters. The monsters got in after killing all of the guards but were scared off after Zeus created an almighty storm to drive them out.
For more protection for his home, Zeus created a group of Robots named after a certain letter from his family member’s name, Alpha named after Athena, Delta after Dionysus, Zeta after Zeus, Eta after Hades and Rho after Poseidon. One day Zeus sent all five Robots to deal with a Chimaera that was terrorizing the city of Thebes. unfortunately the beast destroyed all of them apart from Zeta who manged to defeat the beast but was critically damaged form the battle.
Now the only Robot still functioning, Zeta returned to his creator and was given an a newly built outfit  with features such as a new, Golden Helmet, A stronger body and new clothing which made him look dangerous, Zeus begun Treating Zeta more of a personal guard now he is last robot of his kind and made a new name for him which was more intimidating and frightening but kept a part of his previous name to Zetaphus. Now nearly as powerful as his masters, Zetaphus is treated by the humans as though he was now the Gods’ deadliest weapon designed to fight the forces of evil that threatened Greece and is feared by those who dare challenge him
Zetaphus is dedicated to protecting his masters at any cost and goes on his own quests to defeat the monsters who grow in power to defeat the gods.
Overall, I am really excited to create the comic stripe of this robot to tell its story with drawings. I also feel that with this project, I am able to include my imagination and make my own interpretation of the Ancient Greece which I have been inspired from its history for as long as I can remember. I do also feel that Zetaphus does blend in really well with the context of Ancient Greece.
Next I am going to create a hand drawn version of Zetaphus and a digital and then decide which media I feel would work best to use for creating the comic strip.

THE BOOK OF ESTHER - From The Douay-Rheims Bible - Latin Vulgate
Chapter 16
INTRODUCTION.
This Book takes its name from queen Esther; whose history is here recorded. The general opinion of almost all commentators on the Holy Scripture, make Mardochai the writer of it: which also may be collected below from C. ix. 20. Ch. --- He and the queen were certainly authors of the letter, (H.) enjoining the celebration of the feast of Purim, or "lots," which is the ground-work (C.) of the present narration. D. --- The compiler has also had recourse to the archives of the kingdom of Persia: so that his work has all the authority that can be required of a profane historian; and being moreover inspired in all its parts, we cannot refuse to receive it with the utmost respect. Those additions which are not now in Hebrew, (C.) though they were perhaps formerly, (W. Origen. D.) have been carefully preserved by S. Jerom, and were recognized by the ancient Vulg. as they are at present by the Greek, without any distinction. Lysimachus, the Greek translator, was probably the author of them. C. xi. 1. C. --- The objections of Capellus against this "Greek scribbler," as he is pleased to style him, despising the judgment of both Jews and Christians, are in general very unaccountably borrowed (H.) from the Latin version, and are easily refuted. Houbigant. --- Those Jews, who have rejected this work entirely, with Melito, (Eus. Hist. iv. 26. S. Greg. Naz. &c.) ought not to prevail against the consent of the majority, (C.) expressed in the Councils of Laodicea, Carthage, Trent, sess. 4, &c. To read this book according to the order of time, we should begin C. xi. v. 2, &c. C. i. ii. and xii. and iii. to v. 14; then we find the distress of the Jews in the rest of that chapter, and in C. xiii. to v. 8, and their delivery in C. iv. to ix. v. 17, and C. xiii. v. 8, &c. and C. xiv. xv. and xvi. The consequences of these events are recorded C. ix. v. 17, &c. to C. xi. 1. (W.) with which verse the book ends, in the Greek editions. H. --- They vary considerably, as did the copies of the ancient Vulgate, which called forth the complaints of S. Jerom, Pref. But the Church has distinguished what was spurious from the genuine word of God; so that the doubts of Lyran, Sixtus, (Bib. viii.) &c. respecting the fragments at the end of the book being not canonical, ought no longer to be indulged; much less can the boldness of many Lutherans, (C.) and particularly of Le Clerc, (Houbigant) be tolerated, who represent the whole work as a mere fiction. The Jews have a greater respect for it than for any of the prophets; whose works, they say, will perish at the coming of the Messias: whereas this will subsist with the books of Moses, and the feast of Purim will never be abolished. C. ix. 28. Maimon. --- Ben. Gorion (ii. 2.) admits the additions. But Josephus is silent about them, as he probably did not find them in his copy. C. --- He recites, however, both the epistles of Assuerus. Ant. xi. 6. D. --- It is not agreed whether these events happened before or after the captivity. But it is now most commonly supposed, that Esther was married to Darius Hystaspes, A. 3489, about the time of the dedication of the temple. C. xiv. 9. He had been on the throne six years, and reigned other thirty. See Herod. vii. 4. C. --- Josephus thinks that Esther was the queen of Artaxerxes Longimanus, who was a great friend of the Jews. D. --- The Thalmud attributes this work to the great Synagogue, consisting of Esdras, Mardochai, Joachim, &c. and, as various persons might write the same history, the Greek, with the additions, seems to be taken from one copy, and the Hebrew from another rather more concise, (Huet. D.) but equally inspired. H.
The additional Notes in this Edition of the New Testament will be marked with the letter A. Such as are taken from various Interpreters and Commentators, will be marked as in the Old Testament. B. Bristow, C. Calmet, Ch. Challoner, D. Du Hamel, E. Estius, J. Jansenius, M. Menochius, Po. Polus, P. Pastorini, T. Tirinus, V. Bible de Vence, W. Worthington, Wi. Witham. — The names of other authors, who may be occasionally consulted, will be given at full length.
Verses are in English and Latin.

Chapter 16
A copy of the king's letter in favour of the Jews.
[1] The great king Artaxerxes, from India to Ethiopia, to the governors and princes of a hundred and twenty-seven provinces, which obey our command, sendeth greeting.
Rex magnus Artaxerxes ab India usque Aethiopiam centum viginti septem provinciarum ducibus ac principibus, qui nostrae jussioni obediunt, salutem dicit.
[2] Many have abused unto pride the goodness of princes, and the honour that hath been bestowed upon them:
Multi bonitate principum et honore, qui in eos collatus est, abusi sunt in superbiam :
[3] And not only endeavour to oppress the king's subjects, but not bearing the glory that is given them, take in hand to practise also against them that gave it.
et non solum subjectos regibus nituntur opprimere, sed datam sibi gloriam non ferentes, in ipsos, qui dederunt, moliuntur insidias.
[4] Neither are they content not to return thanks for benefits received, and to violate in themselves the laws of humanity, but they think they can also escape the justice of God who seeth all things.
Nec contenti sunt gratias non agere beneficiis, et humanitatis in se jura violare, sed Dei quoque cuncta cernentis arbitrantur se posse fugere sententiam.
[5] And they break out into so great madness, as to endeavour to undermine by lies such as observe diligently the offices committed to them, and do all things in such manner as to be worthy of all men's praise,
Et in tantum vesaniae proruperunt, ut eos, qui credita sibi officia diligenter observant, et ita cuncta agunt ut omnium laude digni sint, mendaciorum cuniculis conentur subvertere,
[6] While with crafty fraud they deceive the ears of princes that are well meaning, and judge of others by their own nature.
dum aures principum simplices, et ex sua natura alios aestimantes, callida fraude decipiunt.
[7] Now this is proved both from ancient histories, and by the things which are done daily, how the good designs of kings are depraved by the evil suggestions of certain men.
Quae res et ex veteribus probatur historiis, et ex his, quae geruntur quotidie, quomodo malis quorumdam suggestionibus regum studia depraventur.
[8] Wherefore we must provide for the peace of all provinces.
Unde providendum est paci omnium provinciarum.
[9] Neither must you think, if we command different things, that it cometh of the levity of our mind, but that we give sentence according to the quality and necessity of times, as the profit of the commonwealth requireth.
Nec putare debetis, si diversa jubeamus, ex animi nostri venire levitate, sed pro qualitate et necessitate temporum, ut reipublicae poscit utilitas, ferre sententiam.
[10] Now that you may more plainly understand what we say, I Aman the son of Amadathi, a Macedonian both in mind and country, and having nothing of the Persian blood, but with his cruelty staining our goodness, was received being a stranger by us:
Et ut manifestius quod dicimus, intelligatis, Aman filius Amadathi, et animo et gente Macedo, alienusque a Persarum sanguine, et pietatem nostram sua crudelitate commaculans, peregrinus a nobis susceptus est :
[11] And found our humanity so great towards him, that he was called our father, and was worshipped by all as the next man after the king:
et tantam in se expertus humanitatem, ut pater noster vocaretur, et adoraretur ab omnibus post regem secundus :
[12] But he was so far puffed up with arrogancy, as to go about to deprive us of our kingdom and life.
qui in tantum arrogantiae tumorem sublatus est, ut regno privare nos niteretur et spiritu.
[13] For with certain new and unheard of devices he hath sought the destruction of Mardochai, by whose fidelity and good services our life was saved, and of Esther the partner of our kingdom, with all their nation:
Nam Mardochaeum, cujus fide et beneficiis vivimus, et consortem regni nostri Esther cum omni gente sua, novis quibusdam atque inauditis machinis expetivit in mortem :
[14] Thinking that after they were slain, he might work treason against us left alone without friends, and might transfer the kingdom of the Persians to the Macedonians.
hoc cogitans ut illis interfectis, insidiaretur nostrae solitudini, et regnum Persarum transferret in Macedonas.
[15] But we have found that the Jews, who were by that most wicked man appointed to be slain, are in no fault at all, but contrariwise, use just laws,
Nos autem a pessimo mortalium Judaeos neci destinatos, in nulla penitus culpa reperimus, sed e contrario justis utentes legibus,
[16] And are the children of the highest and the greatest, and the ever living God, by whose benefit the kingdom was given both to our fathers and to us, and is kept unto this day.
et filios altissimi et maximi, semperque viventis Dei, cujus beneficio et patribus nostris et nobis regnum est traditum, et usque hodie custoditur.
[17] Wherefore know ye that those letters which he sent in our name, are void and of no effect.
Unde eas litteras, quas sub nomine nostro ille direxerat, sciatis esse irritas.
[18] For which crime both he himself that devised it, and all his kindred hang on gibbets, before the gates of this city Susan: not we, but God repaying him as he deserved.
Pro quo scelere ante portas hujus urbis, id est, Susan, et ipse qui machinatus est, et omnis cognatio ejus pendet in patibulis : non nobis, sed Deo reddente ei quod meruit.
[19] But this edict, which we now send, shall be published in all cities, that the Jews may freely follow their own laws.
Hoc autem edictum, quod nunc mittimus, in cunctis urbibus proponatur, ut liceat Judaeis uti legibus suis.
[20] And you shall aid them that they may kill those who had prepared themselves to kill them, on the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is called Adar.
Quibus debetis esse adminiculo, ut eos, qui se ad necem eorum paraverant, possint interficere tertiadecima die mensis duodecimi, qui vocatur Adar.
[21] For the almighty God hath turned this day of sadness and mourning into joy to them.
Hanc enim diem, Deus omnipotens, moeroris et luctus, eis vertit in gaudium.
[22] Wherefore you shall also count this day among other festival days, and celebrate it with all joy, that it may be known also in times to come,
Unde et vos inter ceteros festos dies, hanc habetote diem, et celebrate eam cum omni laetitia, ut et in posterum cognoscatur
[23] That all they who faithfully obey the Persians, receive a worthy reward for their fidelity: but they that are traitors to their kingdom, are destroyed for their wickedness.
omnes, qui fideliter Persis obediunt, dignam pro fide recipere mercedem; qui autem insidiantur regno eorum, perire pro scelere.
[24] And let every province and city, that will not be partaker of this solemnity, perish by the sword and by fire, and be destroyed in such manner as to be made unpassable, both to men and beasts, for an example of contempt, and disobedience,
Commentary:
Ver. 1. From India to Ethiopia. That is, who reigneth from India to Ethiopia. Ch. --- S. Jerom writes, "The copy of the letter of king Artaxerxes, which he wrote in favour of the Jews, to all the provinces of his kingdom, which also is not in the Heb. volume." It should properly occur, C. viii. 13, as it does in Greek. The edict is well written in that language, which has induced a belief that it is not a translation. C. --- But that is no very strong argument. H.
Ver. 2. Princes. Gr. "Beneficent." Luke xxii. 25. C. --- Gr. "Many of those who have been the most honoured by the kindness of the beneficent, have increased in folly, and not only endeavour to injure our subjects, but, unable to hear the weight of favours, devise schemes against their benefactors."
Ver. 4. Neither. Gr. "And they not only take away gratitude from among men, but elated with good fortune, which they had not before experienced, they flatter themselves that they will escape the sentence of an all-seeing God, levelled against the wicked." H. --- Artaxerxes insists with reason on the ingratitude of Aman, as it was a crime punishable by their laws; (Cyrop. i. Brisson ii. p. 250.) and the Persian kings were particularly careful to reward those who had done them good. C.
Ver. 5. And. Gr. "For oftentimes fair speeches, or (H.) revenge, (paramuqia. Isai. i. 24. C.) has made several of those who have been in authority, and entrusted with the affairs of their friends, partakers in the spilling of innocent blood, and involved them in irremediable calamities, by the wicked craft of those who purposely lead astray the unsuspecting benevolence of governors." H. --- Josephus (xi. 3.) gives nearly the same sense: (C.) "For some of these, being placed in power by their friends, and bearing a private hatred towards some, have deluded their princes by false reasons, and by accusations have persuaded them to stir up the wrath of those who have done no wrong; on which account, they have been in danger of perishing." This author was not, therefore, unacquainted with the fragment, or part of the history, before us. H.
Ver. 7. Proved. Gr. "may be seen, not so much from ancient histories, as we have observed, but more so, if ye examine what wicked things have been done recently, by the fault (or cruelty) of those who have been unworthily in command: and if ye attend, in future, that we may without trouble settle our kingdom in peace for all men. For though we make some changes, yet we make a discernment of what falls under our inspection, and other things with more equity." He intimates that the former decree of Aman had been subreptitious.
Ver. 10. Now. Gr. "For as Aman, of Amadathos, a Macedonian, a stranger to the real blood of the Persians, and of a very different character from our goodness, and who, though a stranger to us, partook of that philanthropy which we have for every nation, insomuch as to be styled," &c. H. --- At this time the Macedonians were hardly known. Capel. --- But this may be questioned, as their kingdom was of ancient date. Houbigant. --- some think that the Asiatic Macedonians may be designated. Hardouin. Pliny v. 30. 31. --- These, however, may have been so called only after the conquests of Alexander. This king fought against the Greeks, of whom the Macedonians formed a part. T. --- The name may here be placed only for a stranger. C. --- Staining. The faults of ministers often redound to the disgrace of those who employ them. M.
Ver. 12. Life. This he might only suspect; (C.) or his machinations with the two porters, might be declared after his disgrace. H. --- Capellus thinks it improbable that Aman intended to murder the queen, as he was so much elated at being invited by her to a feast, &c. But his schemes were various: (Houbig.) and who can pretend to say what would have satisfied his cruelty and ambition? H.
Ver. 14. Without. Gr. "abandoned." H. --- Macedonians; or to himself, who was of that nation. It was not necessary to call over forces, as Capellus would suppose.
Ver. 16. God. Cyrus had styled him, "the God of heaven." Houbig. 1 Esd. i. H. --- But Darius embraced the true religion, and adored God. T. --- Fathers. "Hystaspes was not a descendant of Cyrus, but he was of the same royal stock." Just. i. Herod. iii. 85. --- And is. Gr. "by the best disposition. You will therefore do well not to make use of the letter, sent by Aman." The edict could not be repealed; (Capel. Houbig.) though this seems doubtful, when it was manifestly subreptitious, (M.) unjust, and not sealed by the nobles. C.
Ver. 18. Gibbets. Aman was thus treated, several months before his ten sons. C. vii. 10. and ix. 6. Yet all the family might still be seen hanging, when this edict was dispatched. Houbigant suspects that this and the following verses properly belong to the letter written by Esther and Mardochai. The arguments are not very cogent. H.
Ver. 19. Laws. This was privilege often desired. Joseph. xiii.4.
Ver. 20. Kill. Gr. "take revenge on those who in the day of distress shall fall upon them, on the 13th."
Ver. 21. Sadness. Gr. "destruction of his chosen race, into," &c. H.
Ver. 22. Days. A festival was kept in memory of the destruction of the maji, in which this king was a principal actor. Herod. iii. 79. --- The Persians were ordered to keep the 13th of Adar, on account of the preservation of the royal family, and the ruin of a great enemy. C.
Ver. 23. All. Gr. "Salvation is to us, and to all well-affected Persians: but a memorial of destruction to all who are traitors to us."
Ver. 24. And. Gr. "But every country or city throughout the kingdom, which shall not comply, shall be consumed with the spear and fire in wrath." --- Beasts. Gr. adds hyperbolically, "and birds, and also be accounted most abominable for ever." H. --- Similar expressions occur in the prophets, to denote an entire destruction. Jer. ix. 10. &c. Mardochai and Esther have left us in this work the most perfect example of virtue. The latter is given us a pattern of Christian sovereigns, and a figure of the Church. S. Jerom ad Paulin. (C.) and prol. in Sophon. --- Like Judith, she proved the salvation of her people, and the ruin of their adversaries. Nothing could be more striking, (W.) or visible, than the hand of God in these transactions. H. - Esther was also a type of the blessed Virgin, by whose intercession the head of the serpent is crushed, and letters of grace succeed to the hand-writing that stood against us. S. Thomas, prol. in ep. Cath. W.

BOOK OF JOB - From The Douay-Rheims Bible - Latin Vulgate
Chapter 15
B. Chapter 15
Eliphaz returns to the charge against Job, and describes the wretched state of the wicked.
[1] And Eliphaz the Themanite, answered, and said:
Respondens autem Eliphaz Themanites, dixit :
[2] Will a wise man answer as if he were speaking in the wind, and fill his stomach with burning heat?
Numquid sapiens respondebit quasi ventum loquens, et implebit ardore stomachum suum?
[3] Thou reprovest him by words, who is not equal to thee, and thou speakest that which is not good for thee.
Arguis verbis eum qui non est aequalis tibi, et loqueris quod tibi non expedit.
[4] As much as is in thee, thou hast made void fear, and hast taken away prayers from before God.
Quantum in te est evacuasti timorem, et tulisti preces coram Deo.
[5] For thy iniquity hath taught thy mouth, and thou imitatest the tongue of blasphemers.
Docuit enim iniquitas tua os tuum, et imitaris linguam blasphemantium.
[6] Thy own mouth shall condemn thee, and not I: and thy own lips shall answer thee.
Condemnabit te os tuum, et non ego, et labia tua respondebunt tibi.
[7] Art thou the first man that was born, or wast thou made before the hills?
Numquid primus homo tu natus es, et ante colles formatus?
[8] Hast thou heard God's counsel, and shall his wisdom be inferior to thee?
numquid consilium Dei audisti, et inferior te erit ejus sapientia?
[9] What knowest thou that we are ignorant of? what dost thou understand that we know not?
Quid nosti quod ignoremus? quid intelligis quod nesciamus?
[10] There are with us also aged and ancient men, much elder than thy fathers.
Et senes et antiqui sunt in nobis, multo vetustiores quam patres tui.
[11] Is it a great matter that God should comfort thee? but thy wicked words hinder this.
Numquid grande est ut consoletur te Deus? sed verba tua prava hoc prohibent.
[12] Why doth thy heart elevate thee, and why dost thou stare with thy eyes, as if they were thinking great things?
Quid te elevat cor tuum, et quasi magna cogitans attonitos habes oculos?
[13] Why doth thy spirit swell against God, to utter such words out of thy mouth?
Quid tumet contra Deum spiritus tuus, ut proferas de ore tuo hujuscemodi sermones?
[14] What is man that he should be without spot, and he that is born of a woman that he should appear just?
Quid est homo ut immaculatus sit, et ut justus appareat natus de muliere?
[15] Behold among his saints none is unchangeable, and the heavens are not pure in his sight.
Ecce inter sanctos ejus nemo immutabilis, et caeli non sunt mundi in conspectu ejus.
[16] How much more is man abominable, and unprofitable, who drinketh iniquity like water?
Quanto magis abominabilis et inutilis homo, qui bibit quasi aquam iniquitatem?
[17] I will shew thee, hear me: and I will tell thee what I have seen.
Ostendam tibi, audi me : quod vidi, narrabo tibi.
[18] Wise men confess and hide not their fathers.
Sapientes confitentur, et non abscondunt patres suos :
[19] To whom alone the earth was given, and no stranger hath passed among them.
quibus solis data est terra, et non transivit alienus per eos.
[20] The wicked man is proud all his days, and the number of the years of his tyranny is uncertain.
Cunctis diebus suis impius superbit, et numerus annorum incertus est tyrannidis ejus.
[21] The sound of dread is always in his ears: and when there is peace, he always suspecteth treason.
Sonitus terroris semper in auribus illius : et cum pax sit, ille semper insidias suspicatur.
[22] He believeth not that he may return from darkness to light, looking round about for the sword on every side.
Non credit quod reverti possit de tenebris ad lucem, circumspectans undique gladium.
[23] When he moveth himself to seek bread, he knoweth that the day of darkness is ready at his hand.
Cum se moverit ad quaerendum panem, novit quod paratus sit in manu ejus tenebrarum dies.
[24] Tribulation shall terrify him, and distress shall surround him, as a king that is prepared for the battle.
Terrebit eum tribulatio, et angustia vallabit eum, sicut regem qui praeparatur ad praelium.
[25] For he hath stretched out his hand against God, and hath strengthened himself against the Almighty.
Tetendit enim adversus Deum manum suam, et contra Omnipotentem roboratus est.
[26] He hath run against him with his neck raised up, and is armed with a fat neck.
Cucurrit adversus eum erecto collo, et pingui cervice armatus est.
[27] Fatness hath covered his face, and the fat hangeth down on his sides.
Operuit faciem ejus crassitudo, et de lateribus ejus arvina dependet.
[28] He hath dwelt in desolate cities, and in desert houses that are reduced into heaps.
Habitavit in civitatibus desolatis, et in domibus desertis, quae in tumulos sunt redactae.
[29] He shall not be enriched, neither shall his substance continue, neither shall he push his root in the earth.
Non ditabitur, nec perseverabit substantia ejus, nec mittet in terra radicem suam.
[30] He shall not depart out of darkness: the flame shall dry up his branches, and he shall be taken away by the breath of his own mouth.
Non recedet de tenebris : ramos ejus arefaciet flamma, et auferetur spiritu oris sui.
[31] He shall not believe, being vainly deceived by error, that he may be redeemed with any price.
Non credet frustra errore deceptus, quod aliquo pretio redimendus sit.
[32] Before his days be full he shall perish: and his hands shall wither away.
Antequam dies ejus impleantur peribit, et manus ejus arescent.
[33] He shall be blasted as a vine when its grapes are in the first flower, and as an olive tree that casteth its flower.
Laedetur quasi vinea in primo flore botrus ejus, et quasi oliva projiciens florem suum.
[34] For the congregation of the hypocrite is barren, and fire shall devour their tabernacles, who love to take bribes.
Congregatio enim hypocritae sterilis, et ignis devorabit tabernacula eorum qui munera libenter accipiunt.
[35] He hath conceived sorrow, and hath brought forth iniquity, and his womb prepareth deceits.
Concepit dolorem et peperit iniquitatem, et uterus ejus praeparat dolos.
Commentary:
Ver. 2. Heat. Heb. "east wind," (H.) or give vent to passion. H. --- Eliphaz now rebukes Job without any reserve. C. --- He was perhaps displeased at the comparison used by the latter. C. xiii. 4. Baldad had also hinted that Job's discourse was nothing but wind. C. viii. 2. H. --- Being unable to answer his arguments, he reviles him as an enemy of God. W.
Ver. 3. Equal. God, who is far above thee. Heb. "Will he (the wise) argue with less words, or with speeches which are nothing to the purpose?" C.
Ver. 4. God. Another, after thy example, will assert his own innocence under affliction, and will not fear, nor have recourse to God by humble prayer. Behold the dangerous consequences of thy principle. C.
Ver. 5. Blasphemers. Heb. "of the crafty," which is sometimes taken in a good sense. Sept. "thou hast not distinguished the speeches of the princes." Thou hast not shewn respect to our admonitions, (C.) or understood our meaning. H. --- Thou rather choosest to imitate those false sages, who strive to deceive the world. Abuse could hardly be carried to greater lengths than it is by this man; who before spoke with some moderation. C. iv. C.
Ver. 7. First. Is thy experience so great, (M.) or art thou the most excellent of men? To hear thee we are but novices. C. xiii. 5. C.
Ver. 8. His. Heb. "dost thou restrain wisdom to thyself? Sept. "or has wisdom come to thee?" H.
Ver. 10. Fathers. Heb. and Sept. "father." H. --- Eliphaz always speaks first, and hints that he was as old, perhaps older, than Job; who had rather found fault with the youth of Sophar. C. xii. 12. He also boasts that they, or their country, furnished master of great wisdom and experience than even Job's father. C.
Ver. 11. Thee. This would not be difficult, (T.) if thy presumption did not prove an obstacle. Thou makest small account of those comforts or of our advice, trusting in thy own justice. C. --- Sept. "Thou hast been chastised little, considering thy sins. Thou hast spoken with excessive insolence."
Ver. 12. Why. Sept. "What has thy heart dared, or what have thine eyes brought thee?" Heb. "what do thy eyes wink at?" (H.) through pride and disdain. Ps. xxxiv. 19. Prov. vi. 13. C. --- We need not wonder that Eliphaz should misunderstand the looks of Job, (H.) since he gives such a false notion of his speeches. C.
Ver. 14. Just. Few are free from all spot; but venial sins do not hinder a man from being styled truly virtuous. W.
Ver. 15. Unchangeable, of his own nature, and during this life. C. --- Heb. and Sept. "is not trusted by him," till they have been tried, (H. C. iv. 17. None is good but God alone. Mar. x. 18.) in comparison. T.
Ver. 16. Water, with the utmost avidity and unconcern. Prov. x. 23. and xxvi. 6.
Ver. 17. Seen. He had before given himself out for a prophet. Perhaps he may only mean to deliver what he had been taught, or had learned by experience, v. 18. His observations are in themselves just; but the application to Job is no less insulting. C.
Ver. 18. Wise. Prot. "which wise men have told from their fathers, and have not hid it." C. viii. 8. The authority of tradition was then very great; and why should it now be despised? H.
Ver. 19. Them. Their antiquity, courage, and purity of morals must consequently be greater, as they have preserved themselves from the inroads of strangers. C.
Ver. 20. Proud; uncertain. Heb. "in pain." H. --- Sept. "numbered," or few. Gen. xxxiv. 30. These are the maxims which Eliphaz had received in a vision, or from the ancients, v. 17. The description of a tyrant's life was admirably verified in Dionysius, of Syracuse, (C.) and in our Cromwell, (H.)---
"-----pale and trembling in the dead of night." Pope.
---who rarely lodged two night in one chamber. Clarendon. --- Such live in dread, (H.) and seldom die a natural death.
Ad generum Cereris sine cæde et vulnere pauci
Descendunt reges et siccâ morte Tyranni. Juv. x. 113.
Nocte dieque suum gestare in pectore testem. Juv. xiii.
They bear always about the witness, "conscience." H. --- They distrust every one, and are hated by all.
             Districtus ensis cui super impia
Cervice pendet, &c. Hor. iii. Ode 1.
--- These miseries are incident to the wicked, but are improperly addressed to Job. W.
Ver. 26. And is. Heb. "even upon the thick bosses of his buckler." H. --- God thus seizes his antagonist, who, like Pharao, swells with pride. C. Deut. xxxii. 15.
Ver. 28. Heaps, by his ambition and fury, (C.) and exactions, (Cajet. M.) till the king chooses to rebuild the cities. Vatab.
Ver. 31. That he. Heb. and Sept. "for vanity shall be his reward." H. --- If he would repent, he might still be safe. M.
Ver. 32. Hands; strength and prosperity. C. --- Sept. "his branch shall not grow thick." H.
Ver. 33. First. Heb. "unripe." H. --- He shall derive no aid or comfort from his young family.
Ver. 34. Congregation, or family. --- Bribes. Lit. "presents," which H. frequently were not given freely, but extorted as a real tribute. C. - Sept. "for the death of the wicked is a martyrdom," or proof of his impiety. "But fire shall consume the houses of the present (or bribe) receivers."
Ver. 35. Sorrow. Heb. "mischief." H. See Ps. vii. 15. Isai. xlix. 4. - The tree is known by its fruit. Eliphaz sufficiently insinuates, that he is speaking of Job. C. - His, or "its," the congregation's womb, v. 34. Prot. "their belly." H.
