Hello @certifieddilfenjoyer ! 🫡 Thank you for this, I usually don’t do these types of asks but you’re amazing so why the hell not!

Here we goooooo:

1) My sense of humour. I think I’m pretty funny 🤣 Sometimes. My heroes are people like Conan O’ Brien and Larry David. My humour has taught me not to take life too seriously. I like to make people laugh and feel good, so there’s nothing that brings me joy than seeing a smile or sensible chuckle from anyone lol. I will accept a “LMAO” too. 😅

2) Learning to love myself from the inside out. All my anxieties and depression and accepting every quirk and flaw I HATED when I was younger, and understanding that they make me unique. Also learning to love myself when I look in the mirror every day — I’m only going to be 32 once, and in honour of one of my favourite quotes: “I will never have this version of me again, let me slow down and be with her.” ✨

I also had a health scare in late 2020, (lmao time of my life) so just valuing being alive, and taking one day at time.

3) My writing. Really proud of some of the things I’ve started writing again since getting back into fan fiction. Thanks Raphael! 😈✨I wanted to do nothing but be a writer when I was a child but for some reason I stopped when life got in the way or when I had other hobbies and pursuits. So I’m just gosh darn happy to be here, writing again, and maybe I’ll get a book idea out of this. Maybe not! Or a film idea?! Who the hell knows! Even if it’s nothing I’ll be happy — my fan fic ain’t stopping!

4) Where I’ve come from and my career. I’m originally from America and now I live in the U.K. — I’ve been here for 5 years now and fully settled which means I can apply for dual citizenship this year. (Or when I have an extra £1500 lying around lmao, in this economy?! 😐). I always wanted to travel and live abroad but could never afford it growing up. So it blows my mind I’m here now. 😂 I also work in animation — the industry that took me away from my writing dreams! Lol! When I take a moment to step away from my computer or crippling to-do list, it’s actually pretty damn cool how far I’ve come, haha.

5) My style and range of tastes in film, music, books, obsession with Japanese culture, anime, etc., etc., I’m so weird!!! And I love it! I am obsessed with old films and have been in love with various dead men and women through out my entire life, lol. Ask me about William Powell or Katharine Hepburn, I’ll talk your ears off. I also love all types of music from Japanese Jazz, City Pop, Swing Bands like Glenn Miller, to melodic techno and hip hop like A Tribe Called Quest. Also my favourite band of all time is HAIM. 🤣

It’s seems like every fandom that I joined was either problematic, full of drama or just straight up cringe. Do you any recommendations for least problematic or chill fandoms for me to check out? I need something to distract me from things that happening on twitter rn 😞😔

[This is kinda long sorry, also 100% my opinion]

I've been in any type of fandom you could ever imagine.

From creepy horror stories made online, to anime, to kpop, to videogames, to bands, tv series, ect. So, when it comes to "toxicity" or "problematic" fandoms, I've learned that it is inescapable.

To give examples:

Creepypasta fandom: literally ended up on national TV, because someone believed in Slenderman a bit too much;

Anime fandom: there are people who overly sexualize gays/minors/girls of any age;

Kpop fandom: some fans get too parasocial and "sasaeng" fans exist;

Undertale: I mean...iykyk.

Btw, these are all fandoms I've been in

So, in small words, whichever fandom you go to there will always be some toxicity, some drama and tons of problematic fans.

You just gotta learn to divide yourself from the toxic side, stand your ground and concentrate on the positive side.

I know that the DSMP is in absolute shambles atm. But if you look at the positives, we have more Foolish/Punz content, more glowduo content for halloween, they're gonna post a tribute for Techno, Wilbur is on tour doing some amazing stuff w/ Lovejoy, Tommy is on the frikin newspaper and I can keep going 😂

Maybe some people can tell you some calm fandoms to be in in the comments if they'd like, but just remember that there's always some bad in good, like there's always a good in bad

Phajik has been producing heavy industrial influenced schranz and hardcore for many years now. Always innovative in his approach to sound design and song writing, his style deviates from the norm in his quest for pushing musical boundaries.

Oh god okay.

So Discovery, right? The spore drive? I mentioned this to J (the boy shall henceforth be referred to as J) and he absolutely lost it.

So J is a physicist. And warp drive is already obviously dipping into science fiction and they use a lot of techno babble in Star Trek, but he’s always been a big Star Trek fan and it was all at least believable, if improbable. Warp drive made sense, even if it was unlikely.

But maaaan. I explained the spore drive to him and he got sooo mad. He started looking into it and was absolutely flabbergasted every time he found more info. And he even found the tedtalk that inspired the concept and it just made him more mad 😂 Because the writers very clearly took a concept about fungi on earth and tried to apply it to the universe and it just makes zero sense.

Also, I mentioned he’s a physicist? He was so offended by their clear lack of any sort of understanding about anything about physics (“astrophysics is about BIG things moving SLOWLY, particle physics is about SMALL things moving FAST - this character doesn’t even study the right thing!!!!”). It was hilarious and incredible.

So anyway. Uh. Yeah. We also both take issue with how this would fit into canon anyway. But I’m having fun! I’m watching and then ranting to him about all the things that make me mad about it. :3 It’s great. Gonna watch the whole thing. Love Tilly already.

Oh also - everything would make a lot more sense of this was AOS universe. Like. Waaaay more sense. It would fit that canon so much better.

TharnType finale

OMG THARNTYPE FANS!! THIS EPISODE!! 🔥🔥🔥 it started with my heart being ripped out of my chest and then people were dancing on it. I cried alongside Tharn, I could feel his sorrow and heartbreak🥺

“I have to say this but Mew is one amazing actor! The way he gives his all, it’s just mesmerizing to watch. “

I loved how Thorn tried to console his little brother and it made me wish my brother would be like this. The way he went to Type to demand to know why he did what he did! Ugh!!

Then the confrontation! MY DEAR LORD! I squeezed the hell out of Chimmy. I was on the edge of my seat. I mean first I was praying that Type would hit Lhong back, then I held my breath because of that rock. I couldn’t help but yell at Champ and Techno for not doing anything😂 then Tharn showed up and you could feel the fear of Lhong for losing his friend or better yet the love of his life.... ugh I am not feeling sad for him though...

But we have to admit that Kaownah played his part as Lhong excellent!!

Then the scene in their apartment😍🥺 the way Type finally tells Tharn he loves him.🥺🎉 I’m not going into details and am going straight for that kiss!!

MY DEAR LORD!! THAT KISS!! WAS!! HOT!!👀👀👀 the way Type initiated the kiss and the way he went for it the second time around. I mean have mercy on my soul people!

Anyway... ahum.. this final episode was like a rollercoaster of emotions and I loved the entire ride. I love the way Gulf made Type his own character, I loved how he could put so much emotions in his eyes and expressions. I loved Mew’s acting because it felt like he wasnt acting at all. Those heart breaking scenes, made me cry and I loved how sweet he always was.

I am going to miss all of them. The entire cast of TharnType the series! Will I be rewatching this show, HELL YES! I think right now it’s a tie with Love By chance, that’s how much I love this show.
