Nani took it upon herself to invite Yassah out to the local Xmas party in the neighborhood since Yas was a little holiday home sick. They had a good moment kicking it for like five fricking minutes..LMAO! The bears started crying, Nani started crying.. Grim was confused thinking he got the wrong call. So Nani assured Grim that he in-fact did! Letting it be know Yassah is a good person, like they litcheralllee died from laughing.. come on!

So Yassah was SAVED! I mean you can't take the queen out that fast. They were forever grateful and happy, it strengthed the relationship between them and Nani in multiple ways. The pair is bonded now I mean...likeee?

I feel like there’s a lot of trying to do too many things #like plot wise and also like. various character traits and marginalisations trying to go against stereotypes but it just falls into a differ #erent stereotype? #like there were the sort of weird things in book one with nani having an absent father (explained and is more that that) #and people assuming the trans girl is supposed to be the beauty and the beast beast (she's not; it is pretty clear at saying it's different) #however the things are still like. in the vicinity of that if that makes sense #also yuki sort of went in a bunch of aroace negative stereotype ways - ice queen; monstrous - and like. i THINK it was trying to show she's #the opposite of that - all the true love power of friendship stuff. but I don't think it was quite explored in enough clarity and depth? #(not to say that like. i'm not obsessed with her Going Off i just feel like it needed to be written better) #in general i feel like the mystery plot tied together book 1 a lot more and this was more.....trying to explain the magic and curse and idk #idk i kinda only read it bc i wanted to see how it would deal with some things #yuki's aroaceness hit hard in the first book but maybe that's the only thing it truly has going for it...
