Well I think it's funny because, as you mentioned, one of the only pre-2023 moments of strollonso I remember distinctly is when they had the collision during the US gp 😭 and I feel like everyone saw that and were like "oh god Nando is gonna kill him when they're teammates", and then a similar situation kinda happened again at the very first gp when Lance hit the back of Nando but when Nando found out, he's just like "okay :)"

I wonder though sometimes what they'd be like if the AMR23 was like the prev one. Because I do think Nando does actually like Lance, but also I don't think you can deny that Nando's podiums are indeed a buffer. Kinda like him being like "anything you can do to me is literally nothing because I have a great car and I'm doing better than I have in years", like bro is on top of the world after so long, and it feels like he's gotten a second wind where nothing can really touch him or bother him.

I hate how everyone uses that "Lance is the owner's son, so of course Fernando will treat him nicely" argument. Like yeah that's a factor, but I feel like I see it more as Nando appreciating Lance bcs he factors into why Nando has a good car and a good team in the first place. I think tho my fav strollonso plot line is Nando being like "ugh ill put up w him I guess", but then he ends up having such a good car and finds out in the process that Lance is more than he ever considered(like in this fic ) And also the narrative of Nando being a very different, supportive teammate as compared to most other Lance has had. I like that they probably came into being teammates with certain assumptions, but now look at how comfy they are with each other!! Enough to tease each other is such public ways, like Lance saying certain things in interviews and Nando with his socmed. It's very fun!

BUT YEAH OH MY GOD THAT CLIP OF THEM WITH LANCE BEING SO TOUCHY AND SHOVEY WITH HIM!!!! people need to look back at older clips like that and the others you mentioned before they make assumptions about why they are the way they are >:(

Alright, little thoughts/headcanons/reminders that will be expanded upon in separate posts in the future, but:

— By all accounts, we know that Guizhong's actual name is Haagentus, this is likely the same to 'Morax' and 'Osial'. Guizhong, keeping in mind that this is what the adepti seem to refer to her as and they also refer to Morax as Rex Lapis (which is the title given to him by the mortals?); I'm tempted to believe that it was given to her by the mortals as well. Granted, this is heartbreaking to think about as Guizhong in Chinese is 归终, of which 归 translates to 'to return' and 终 'to end'. Yep, we all return to dust in the end— yeah, I hate HoYo too. 😭

— She's a bit of a pain in the neck. I say this affectionately, but you need two hands to deal with her. Based on Echoes of the Heart and the quest A Single Harmony for an Irreplaceable Soul, we learn that she's rather competitive, she has no qualms about standing her ground, she tends to push boundaries a little socially even if apparently endearingly enough so (CR: "(...) no matter what nonsense she said, one never felt bothered or offended."), she is very determined (her little tongue as she's working on the Cleansing Bell thrills me so very much) and opinionated/stubborn. Granted, all of this seems to come paired with a certain eloquence and kind air as she was referenced as having been well loved by mortals and adepti alike, as all still speak very sorrowfully even 3700(ish) years after her passing.

— She's very hands-on, she touches everything— she simply experiences life through touch, if you will. As an engineer, she touches to find out how things feel, how they operate. This is, in my opinion, further substantiated by her attire. She's the least clothed of all of the gods and adepti, she's also the only one who's actively shown to always be barefoot. So while I can see this as an entirely standalone aesthetic decision, HoYo is so thorough, so I think there's more to it. So along with being an engineer and what that can imply, I think that the intention of how exposed she is and the specific places where this is a fact (her back, her legs), plays into stimulants. The wind, water, the sun, warmth, the cold, everything is experienced through one's skin, the best way to experience 'mortal life', is to experience the little things that make life... life. Oh!! Speaking of Kelp at the orphanage, I was looking through my camera roll and I ran across that picture of him again. I looked closer at his old mask and I’m like “what the hell is that supposed to be??”. Then I was plagued by visions. His mask struck me as a little weird, because at a time where honkai was running rampant, I doubt he would have had the time to stop at a Spirit Halloween and buy one.

I thought the texture kind of resembled wood and I remembered that he had wooden figures in his luggage— so like what if it was a keepsake one of the kids carved for him?? If I remember correctly, there was a cutscene where there were some kids (presumably infected with honkai), sitting under a tree, so maybe the tree ACTUALLY has some significance, but frankly I think I’m becoming delusional. It’s more likely that the devs were just like… “huh this looks cool” and slapped it on him. I can only dream 😔
