the first character i ever fell in love with: absolutely tfa bumblebee. i remember like it was yesterday. it was like three or two years ago, i was scrolling insta and saw an edit of tfa bee (i can't link it and i won't put it here bc it's obviously not mine) where prowl said "we're gonna use bumblebee's greatest weapon. his obnoxious personality" and i LOST MY MIND it was love at first sight

but imagine my surprise when i finished watching tfa and realised that all the other bees... are just not the guy i liked. i watched prime and didn't enjoy it as much as i could have, had i forgotten my weird obsession with sorta hot shot-like bee and just appreciated prime's bumblebee. it didn't stick tho and i stopped looking for tf stuff for like two years (i realised i just gave like my whole backstory about tf ok sorry lmao)

a character that i used to love/like, but now do not: swindle. idk why he's just another jerk to me now, tho i do like the tfa take

a ship that i used to love/like, but now do not: ratchet/wheeljack from prime. i like dratchet now <3

my ultimate favorite character™: still bumblebee. even tho he's not what i expected at first he's one of those archetypes i easily fall for, i simply had to stop looking for a comic-relief arrogant teen

prettiest character: drift <3 or starscream. or ratchet from prime and idw. or knockout from prime.

Cometcare is basically like, a combination of three canon-content-supporting ships, which are Barruni, Doomi, and Pollarry (Polly is the blue guy, a side patient!) In the comic, Barry later in v3 ends up with a sorta one-sided crush on Polly, and Doom canonically already has a sorta one-sided crush on Uni. (Will they ever reciprocate? You have to wait and see...) The ship is basically just a weird little comfort of mine that I love to draw even if it doesn't really make sense besides the combined feelings in the mix. It comforts me so much and makes me so incredibly happy, and the fact others like it too makes me even happier. I also really like Polluni, Doomry, and Doolly, basically I just love the idea of them all being in love with each other hehe it's so cozy to me <:3 they are SOOOOO special and important and my dearly beloveds

Armin always speaks pretty highly about the people he cares about when they're not around, it makes me really flustered honestly! It's a weird sorta niche love language for me, knowing he praises me and my efforts to others. He likes to mention my artwork and writing to others a LOT, according to him, he just wants people to know how creative I am. I appreciate him greatly <3 be mine — how would they react to you flirting with them, do they get flustered? flirt back? Oh boy HERE WE GOOOO, so canonically me and Armin when growing up both had hardcore crushes on each other for many years but never said anything, had no clue, right? But as of a few months ago, I was made aware that I apparently accidentally flirt like, all the time. So, only god knows how much of that went to Armin. When I'm actively trying though? One of three things happens, or maybe all three depending on the day. Either he gets flustered, compliments the flirting attempt, or flirts back (In Armin font this is just complimenting me really hard and trying to get me to laugh/smile, he's really charming 😭😭) hugs — are you and f/o affectionate / open about your relationship in public? A normal amount I'd say! We hold hands, cheek kisses here and there, sometimes I just need a hug no matter where I am so that might happen. We refrain from anything deemed socially/publicly too intense. Plus we'd rather save that for home/in private! love letters — are they good at expressing how they feel? what’s their best way of letting you know they love you? Armin over the years has sort of mastered every love language there is really! He always wants to make sure I know that he loves me. He shows that in a lot of ways, helping me with tasks I can't accomplish, encouraging me when I need it, spending time with me and listening to whatever I have to say. But most importantly, he'll simply just say it, usually in one of his longer Armin-monologues that he gets into when I'm not feeling good about myself and I need to know that he does love me. smitten — was it easy for the people around you and f/o to figure out you liked each other? did they get involved in you getting together at all? Oh, oh boy. So, everyone say thank you to Mikasa because she pulled ALL of the weight here. Eren was beyond clueless for a very long time and felt incredibly stupid when he realized. At some point the entire 104th knew besides us, but even then we still didn't say anything until the retaking of wall Maria, literally took us both nearly dying to get it out 😭 I will say, Jean had a special role in all this. I don't bother explaining this on my list but, in each of my canons if I end up with Armin, Jean is QP, if I end up with Jean, Armin is QP. It's a lovely balance I don't get in other things I ship in because that's how Jean and I's dynamic was before I realized I also loved him romantically! I also sometimes polyship with them both, which is fun! Anyways there's a point in all of this, Jean in my "Armin route" encouraged it the day of confession, if he didn't we probably STILL wouldn't have gone for it. Mikasa fought the battle but Jean won the war, truly. valentine — gush about your valentine! ^^ You got it boss! I love how cozy and comfortable Armin is, not only just to me but in general. I love cuddling with him while he reads, just curling up in his blanket and getting to take a cat nap. I also love it when he talks about work, I just really like hearing his mind work so fast as he's speaking, he's so intelligent and can be so passionate, it's so charming! He's my very amazing, compassionate, accommodating and doting husband that I'd do anything for!

robmo

- robbos a big nerd on all stuff movies so you bet that mo gave him a romantic movie night, and it wasn’t just like any other. like a cute cozy little pillow nest on the couch with some popcorn and chocolate.

Robbo got two great things. being in his muscular husbands arms AND watching a good movie. warra bargain!

- as for when the favor is returned, robbo got this beautiful necklace for Mo. it had a pharoh charm on it, and it was very cute. it was real gold, too.

robbo also gave mo the best night of his life……. on the ice skating rink! ☺️ robbo was doodoo at ice skating though, but no worries. mo helped him stay on his feet! (occasionally sweeping robbo off his feet sometimes)

virgisson:

- STARGAZING DATE!!!!! virgil takes ali out on a date to go watch things like meteor showers- it’s always so beautiful. virgil also sets up a picnic area so they can have dinner together while watching the beautiful sky above them. it was magical to say the least. afterwards alisson offered to drive them back home, and virgil feel asleep on the way back😭

thankfully ali was able to carry him back inside. Virgil was very cute when he’s all sleepy and cuddled up.

- ali does a little cooking date at home where him and virg cook pizza together. ofc virgil isn’t the best at cooking so ali helps him out a lot (ali enjoys it) and sometimes it gets a little messy… mainly cause of virgil spilling something. either way they both laugh about it (virgil chased ali around while COVERED in flour it was so funny

someone’s whenever virgil would be stirring something ali would do that thing where he hugs virgil from behind and rests his head on virgil’s shoulder. they do that sorta cuddling….

afterwards they both eat the pizza , and it’s actually edible! well i’ll be damned!

I’m so sorry it’s taken me so long but I’ve taken this question extremely seriously LOL. I’m not sure I have enough moots that i talk to to ship every single member with a moot, but I shall try my best. I have a lot of moots, but sadly I don’t talk to all of them cuz I’m a little shy to make new friends, but I want to talk to more friends!

Taeil I think would compliment @subkpopboys. I feel like he needs someone who is a little more assertive and bold to balance out his soft and quiet nature, and KitKat would be a great person for that. I think your personalities would bounce off of each other really well.

Johnny I would ship with @skzctnightnight cuz he’s just a soft fluffball full of love and light and Bel is so so supportive and helpful and sweet and I think their personalities would mesh really really well (I hope Mister is ok with that haha)

Taeyong gets shipped with the amazing @moonienico because I think Nico would give Taeyong the best care ever and he seems like a person who would cherish that and cherish Nico for their kindness and nastiness HAHA

He’s sorta like Namjoon in the way that he’s super intelligent and also passive aggressive and snarky, and so that sounds like just the type of guy Alex would be into LOL (I’m so sorry if I’m wrong we haven’t talked much and definitely not about stuff like that I’m just going off of your Namjoon love LOL). I do think their senses of humor would bounce off each other really well and that his slightly more mild mannered personality would mesh well with hers that’s a little bolder than he is.

Ten is a hard one to ship, but I ship him with @mellowriting. I know she hasn’t actually written anything for him but I was reading the texts you posted of you and that subby guy you’re talking to and idk why it just screamed TEN to me haha. He is KINKY and needs someone who can keep up with all of that, as well as love him tenderly when he’s feeling that too, and I think there would be such a great dynamic going on here haha.

Jaehyun gets shipped with my amazing friend @staranonthoughts (I hope you see this even tho you don’t use that account much anymore). She has a great sense of humor that I think would bounce off his really well, and she’s one of the people who can put someone like Jaehyun (who everyone thinks is a dom for some strange reason lol) in his place haha

Winwin I ship with @capriccio-con-espressione. This one might seem like a little bit of an odd pairing on the surface but I feel like Winwin really needs someone who is bolder than him and can help to bring him out of his shell in all areas of his life. He needs someone who can take the lead and help push him out of his comfort zone to try and experience new things, and Trinzie is just the girl for that LOL

Jungwoo I ship with @runningonkpop. She’s a good friend and she loves Jungwoo and I think Jungwoo deserves to be adored and with someone who can give him All. The. Love. I approve of you two together haha

Lucas would be great to ship with @kjmsupremacist. He. Is. Such. A. Baby. Everyone considers him to be such a dom, but really he’s just a big softie and wants some love. Xiami can provide this and more and I think would be able to compliment all sides of him.

Mark is a hard one, but I ship him with @starstruckdombbaby. She says she loves to make boys cry. Enter Mark to satisfy that for you LOL but seriously Mark is another one who I feel like needs someone to take the lead in a relationship, especially since he always has so much on his plate, so he needs someone to come home to who can really help him take the load off, and I think Maria can do that for him haha.

Xiaojun would get shipped with @wildernessuntothemselves because I know how soft Moe is for him and his sweetness and I think he really needs someone who can nurture him when he needs but also be a little rougher and commanding when he needs that too.

Hendery I would ship with @artificialvoe. Hendery is such a kind and caring soul, and it feel like Lee just radiates kind and sweet energy that would mesh well with his. Expect lots of laughs and cuddles.

Renjun I ship with @00thisandthat. Not sure why to be honest cuz we’ve never talked, but I always associate Renjun with their account lol.

Jeno would be a good compliment for @nanavision because i feel like he would be equal parts confident and shy in a relationship that would mesh well with the way she is equal parts shy and confident. Y’all can push each other and both grow together while still not feeling like either person is above or below each other.

Haechan would get shipped with @neosincity. This boy is a little shit and he would need someone who would not let him get away with doing whatever he wants, but also adores his playfulness and doesn’t get annoyed by it. Enter Grace to satisfy this haha

Yangyang is a hard one as well, and I think I’ve more of less run out of mutuals LOL, and I also sorta adopted him so it’s weird to try to ship him with someone (even tho I have a request for him I’m gonna write at some point), so I shall plead the fifth on this one. But he’s sorta like Haechan that he’s a little shit that needs someone who can handle his bouncy energy without getting annoyed but that can also put that in place if needed, so if you’re like this and a moot of mine, then you fit the bill LOL.

Hey hie,I have recently started watching GOT and i have really got into ramsay and theon. I know it's too late to get hooked on them(the fandom has almost freezed) but....Like if we extract torture and pain,they do make a good looking couple.as I earlier stated I am new to this fandom,most of the contents here are filled with gore and all kinds of violence. These are not my stuffs.i know ,i was actually expecting such thing in this fandom .we can't really depict ramsay like a saint as it will destroy the whole basis of the character's arc but i was really hoping that atleast 30-40℅ of the stories might have something less bloody,some kind of redemption arc or at least Concensual bdsm or role reversal(not in revenge style) but most of the fics are just plain dub-con and extremely explicit.i don't really kink shame those who like these but i genuinely feel sorry for theon being violeted in each and every fic like come on ,give this guy some break.i still like psycho ramsay as I like Hannibal but i can't read any dub-cons.i wanna ship it but i still can't. would you like to write something different about them apart from these things ?(English is not my native language,so i hope that you understand my point and sorry for my cringy writing)

Hi there! First of all, no need to apologize for your English.

This is a good time to mention that I’ve never seen a full episode of GoT. Or read more than a chapter at a time of ASOIAF. My work is demanding, so I mean it when I say that I’m going off vibes and clips. I simply do not care that much, as long as I'm having fun.

The key to having a good experience with fandom is to create the content you’d like to experience, first and foremost. “i would kill, to be the cold” went from a 1k drabble to 115 pages because I wanted to write something cozy and self-indulgent - tailored specifically to my whims and interests, that I could reread for my own enjoyment.

With fic it’s almost inevitable that your work will scratch someone’s itch - most importantly your own. A comment on a fic of mine called thramsay a pairing that lends itself to self-indulgence, and I couldn't agree more. If you want to write a T-rated coffee shop AU, do it!

As for interacting with other’s content: being very aware of and sticking to your boundaries can only benefit you. Hate reading is always a poor decision. So is resenting creators that produce work you aren’t into, especially when one isn’t privy to their struggles. Not everything is for everyone, and that’s ok!

Coming from a DV background where the vibe was very much “you’ll always be what I made you,” (spoiler alert: he was wrong) there is … inevitably some thramsay content that isn’t up my alley, and that’s ok.. I’ve read some truly amazing works (peep my AO3 bookmarks) that do contain darker themes, but only because I take ownership over my safety, am very aware of what I can/can’t take, and know what to do if I feel some sorta way after. Likewise, my fic might be too cloying for some tastes.

I’m personally not a talented enough writer to pull off a redemption arc for Ramsay. My fic is the furthest I could physically push Ramsay re: treating Theon well, with Theon having a great time. They’re just so … toxic as individuals, and even moreso together. That doesn't mean it can't be done, though - just that I won’t be the one to do it. I would honestly love to write something fluffy or non-explicit, though.

Harry and Louis arrive at home, carrying smaller backpacks of the girls’ clothes and toys while holding their hands. They step into the foyer and Louis and Harry let go of their hands. Dani and Jordyn looking around and up at their surroundings, almost as if nonverbally asking if it’s okay to go ahead without them.

LOUIS: You guys can go, it’s okay…

Dani and Jordyn look at each other and then run off, ending up somewhere in the living room. Louis looks at Harry, not saying anything but smiling a little.

HARRY: (looks at Louis) What?

LOUIS: Nothing, just...it’s crazy that we actually did this. Like, they’re here in our house for real.

HARRY: (smiles too) I know, we’re, like...officially parents. (gasps while covering his mouth)

LOUIS: (laughs a little and nods) That we are. (looks at the kiddos) We should probably get them in some kind of routine, no? With their rooms and dinner and stuff? Is it too soon for that? (looks at Harry) Now I’m kinda nervous.

HARRY: (looks at the kids) Don’t be nervous, bub - we got this. We should probably get them settled in their room, though...or...rooms? Should we separate them?

LOUIS: Maybe that’s too soon. Imagine being one of these two, tiny sorta-kinda strangers in a big, weird house with some bigger, scruffy lookin’, sorta-kinda strangers - personally, I would not wanna be alone.

HARRY: (looks at him and puts a hand on his chest) Did you just call me fat?

LOUIS: (laughs, like genuinely) So annoying, I would never and you know that.

HARRY: (looks away) That’s right, never.

JORDYN: (knocks over a big plant and looks at Dani in a panic and whispers) Oh no.

DANI: (looks at her with wide eyes and then at Louis and Harry and then Jordyn again) Uh oh. (runs away as a small bundle of panic, hoping Jordyn follows)

JORDYN: (follows Dani)

HARRY: (watches them run away) Where are they going? (laughs and walks to see the plant is on the floor with a little dirt on the ground)

LOUIS: (follows Harry, laughing) I have no idea, I don’t even think they know where they’re going yet. (looks at the dirt on the floor) Perhaps first things first in our parent duty - get fake houseplants.

HARRY: (looks around for them) First thing is to actually clean this mess up while I go find the kids. (walks away to go look for the kiddos)

LOUIS: Aye aye, captain. (goes and grabs their broom from the kitchen and brings it to the scene of the crime, handling the fallen plant gently so he doesn’t ruin it at all and starts sweeping up the dirt)

HARRY: (goes to look in the bathroom because he hears some little voices coming from there and he peeks his head in)

JORDYN: (gasps when she sees Harry and hides behind Dani)

DANI: (pouts) Noooo….(moves from in front of Jordyn, no longer being a shield, and tries to climb in the bathtub to hide instead)

JORDYN: (whines) Dani… (pouts as well and looks at Harry with puppy eyes) I sorry.

HARRY: (smiles) It’s okay, we’re not mad or...upset or anything. (kneels down in front of Jordyn) Are you guys hungry? You want something to eat?

DANI: (gasps and gives up climbing the tub and sits on the floor instead) Yeah.

JORDYN: (just nods her head still a little nervous)

HARRY: Alright. (stands up and holds both his hands out for the girls) Let’s go eat!

JORDYN: (takes his hand)

DANI: (gets up, smiles a lot and goes to him, grabbing his hand)

HARRY: (sings) Food time. (walks out the bathroom with the girls)

JORDYN: (giggles) You funny.

HARRY: (looks down at her) You think so?

JORDYN: (nods)

HARRY: (looks at Dani) What about you? What do you think?

DANI: (looks at him like she’s thinking about it, like a little head tilt and everything)

HARRY: Oh. I see how it is.

JORDYN: (looks at her) Say he funny Dani. (pouts)

DANI: (giggles and nods) Yeah, you funny. See? (points to herself and smiles really big)

LOUIS: (nods back and waits for confirmation from Jordy that it makes sense to her too)

JORDYN: Okay.

HARRY: Okay, food Louis?

JORDYN: Lou Lou. (giggles)

LOUIS: Lou Lou is definitely down for food, but what are we feeding these adorable children, Harold, lover of mine and light of my life?

HARRY: Um... (looks at the girls) ...chicken tenders?

JORDYN: (eyes go so wide) Yes! Please?

LOUIS: So that’s a winner. (to Harry) We should stock up then. (starts going to the kitchen)

8:05 PM

STYLINSON HOME - LONDON

After dinner is done Harry and Louis make sure the girls are washed up and their teeth are brushed. They show them their room which they chat a bit about nonsense the little ones want to talk about.

DANI: (in the middle of a story about a friend in the foster home) ...and the ball, it went—(gestures with her hand)—like that to a, um…(gestures to explain a bush with her hands) lots of leaves, and then, it was gone. (nods as if that made all the sense in the world)

LOUIS: That is quite a story, Dani, did you get it back?

DANI: Yeah.

LOUIS: I’m glad.

JORDYN: Dani cry.

HARRY: You cried over the ball Dani? (pouts at her)

DANI: Yeah, it gone, I sad, I cry.

LOUIS: Yeah Harry, c’mon, it only makes sense.

DANI: (nods) For real.

JORDYN: Conincing. (nods)

HARRY: Alright, sorry, geez.

JORDY: (looks at Louis) I sleep here? (points to her bed)

LOUIS: Yeah, that’s your bed, and Dani’s gonna be over there. (points casually to the other bed, probably on the other side of the room)

DANI: (looks confused) Why?

LOUIS: Why?

DANI: Yeah.

LOUIS: ...Did you want the floor?

DANI: (looks at him even more confused than before) No? (looks at Harry) Why?

HARRY: (looks at her confused) Because that is your bed and this is Jordyn’s.

JORDYN: (pouts and looks at Dani)

DANI: (looks at Jordyn and then at Harry and Louis) You too?

LOUIS: Us too what, love?

DANI: Like…(points to their separate beds to make a point)

LOUIS: (shakes his head) No. It’s different.

DANI: (looks at Jordyn sadly) Okay…

JORDYN: (blows kisses to Dani) We big girl, ‘member? (nods)

DANI: (shrugs) Yeah...

LOUIS: (looks at Harry, mouthing) Did we mess up already?

HARRY: (looks at Louis and shrugs) Okay, well (looks at the girls), you girls gotta go to bed and get your beauty sleep.

JORDYN: (lays down) Night night.

DANI: (baby sighs and gets off of Jordyn’s bed and shuffles over to her own and sits sadly)

LOUIS: (looks at her and laughs a little) Oh, stop it, bug, you’re not far. (nudges Jordyn) Say hi so she knows you’re still here.

DANI: No.

LOUIS: (looks at her) That won’t help?

DANI: (shakes her head and lays down too)

LOUIS: You’re so cute, c’mon…

DANI: (with all her tiny might, unmakes her bed and gets under the covers, from head to toe)

LOUIS: (looks at Harry) Should we have done bunk?

HARRY: Maybe? I’m sorry, Dani.

JORDYN: Dani, I wuv you!

DANI: (muffled because she’s hiding) I wuv you too. (to Harry) It’s okay.

LOUIS: Alright, we’re gonna go now so you guys can sleep, you guys are okay, right?

DANI: (peeks from under her blanket) Yeah.

JORDY: For real.

HARRY: (looks at Louis) Conincing. (looks back at the girls) Alright goodnight.

LOUIS: (laughs and gets up) Goodnight, babies.

DANI: Bye bye.

Harry and Louis leave.

JORDYN: (whisper yells) Dani!

DANI: (looks at Jordyn all smiley) Hi. (giggles)

first of all, you guys would be so cool on the outside but on the inside you’re both just two chaotic messes (but still put together😌) your energetic and loud aura balances with his calm and collected personality. however, he really appreciates the fact that your able to sense when to be mature because he probably wouldn’t be able to handle someone whose overwhelmingly crazy.

he likes that your clingy because it shows him that you care and need him, and he never thinks that your overbearing in any way. he actually thinks thats adorable more than anything. your both optimistic which is good for positive reassurance and feedback, as well. he’s so caring and will notice your sensitive so he’ll avoid doing anything to make you upset at all costs in fear of making you feel bad. that’s the last thing this angel wants to do.

your love languages aren’t a problem with suga, either. physical affection is a huge part of being in a relationship with him. of course, if you didn’t like affection he would completely respect your boundaries, but since you like it he’s just gonna shower you in it nonstop. hugs, kisses, hand holding, snuggling, you name it. and small acts is his THING like he’s constantly doing little cute things for you. whether that’s writing you a lovely note and leaving it for you on the counter or him taking care of your chores just because he wants you to not have to take care of it.

You know me, I’m Kelsey, I’m the small bean who is soft 24/7!

Yes, yes you are, cara mia. Hello there, I’m Copia, formally Cardinal Copi but now Papa Emeritus IV. Don’t let my title alarm you, like kelsey has said a few times, I am a huge “softie”

2. How was your first meeting like?

She was at a concert of mine, and she was in the front row. I interacted with her some, and after the show I asked to get to know her more. Poor girl was shaking like a leaf, but I seemed to make her feel comfortable with talking to me, and she opened up some.

I was surprised of how quickly I blurted a lot about myself out. I guess I just needed someone to talk to.

3. How did you get together? Who confessed first?

After she stayed the night at the church, I brought her out to the gardens and asked her if I could get to know her more. Of course we’d take it slow and just enjoy being friends and maybe it would become something more.

Oh, I cried. Never thought someone would ever ask me.

It was so sweet. I held her for awhile till she calmed down.

4. What are your thoughts on PDA?

I love to hold Copia’s hand whenever I can. It just makes me feel safe. Also arms around each other is a huge thing.

As it should. I seem to shower her with affection until she’s a wonderful giggly mess. Her laugh is so adorable, and do not even get me started with her dimples! Her beautiful cheeks!

5. How do you show your affection towards each other/what are your love languages?

Anything you can imagine! Sappy words, hugs, rubbing each other’s back, cuddling, face cradling, kissing of the cheeks and forehead, of course lip kissing...

I tend to say things in italian, and give Kelsey nicknames. I have to explain some words in Italian to her, which makes her even more pink!

6. Who’s more introverted and who’s more extroverted?

That is kind of tricky. We both are introverted and awkward!

You may see me on stage, and seeming more confident, but eh...I can assure you my introverted self sticks out like a sore thumb! Now that I am papa and have Kelsey to give me confidence, maybe that will change. But I know I will always be there for Kelsey when she gets overwhelmed and needs some space from large crowds or social gatherings.

And I will be there to make you more confident than you ever thought you could be.

7. Who’s the big spoon and who’s the little spoon?

Oh this is very very easy! Little spoon? It’s her!

Yep. It’s no surprise.

But I love being the big spoon, though. She’s so nice and tiny!

Occasionally, when Copia needs emotional support, I’ll be the big spoon. I love wrapping my arms around him. Very snuggly.

8. What do you like doing together the most?

Helping each other out, and when we are done with work, tending to each other’s needs! And something more specific? Reading.

It’s a very cozy feeling when we read. The fireplace is going, she sits in my lap, and most of the time we both end up falling asleep like that.

Hmm....Well, Copia loves to play piano! He’s such a sappy romantic.

I played ever since I was small. Although I don’t play much now, since the Ghoulettes do that! And for Kelsey’s fun fact: Kelsey is a huge water baby! During the summer, she is either always in a lake or in the ocean!

I was called a Penguin because I went into extremely cold ocean water in the spring. Everyone still says I’m crazy, but getting older I can sorta see what they mean.

EdxEnvy - mun’s OTP right here, 10/10 don’t even have to ask. It’s definitely not a fave of MOST people I’ve met, for varying reasons, but I love it. Part of it may be that a few other ships I have out there are with technically enemies(they’re FUN okay?) but I’ve always just enjoyed it. Both of them are tied for my favorite character in both animes, and the manga, and I humored the idea once and was hooked. Quite a few muses for Envy have actually hooked up with Ed here, some of them sadly no longer active on here but @enviouscore lately has been super sweet and I’ve gotten to watch their Envy and Ed start getting cozy together. There have been some intense ones though, and some weird ones, but I’ve loved them all.

EdxAble - Surprise OC bias! @thehighclassbadass and Ed have probably been the longest consistant relationship on here, and I love these two nerds. TO BITS. They are adorable, they’re awkward, I’m pretty sure they use all of their self control up on the other so they have non left for themselves, and it’s great. Able and Ed are actually the only marriage Ed here has so far too. They support each other, they give each other a hard time, there are moments of pure shennanigans between them, and it’s just way too much fun.

EdxRoy - A ship I’m actually neutral towards personally, but when it has happened, holy shit it’s adorable. Honestly this is a bias for even platonic ships because Roy and Ed bantering back and forth all day is fantastic. Most of the Roy’s that Ed here has interacted with so far have been platonic and friendly(and in one case, a reluctant haunting with spinning spoons to communicate). To date, only one has actually moved from friend to crush to “oh shit I want to date him” and that would be @actualflamealchemist. So kudos for being the first Roy that Ed will blush around!!

EdxSayaka(PMMM) - SURPRISE CROSSOVER. This ship was actually born off of tumblr, only on Skype and then some in Discord with a friend. It was a massive crossover RP just between the two of us(who’s origins were actually waaaaaay back on Gaia Online) and we had a ton of characters played between us. She happened to have all the Madoka Magica girls, and I ended up with about a third of the cast of FMA, including Ed here. I fell in love with this ship, it was super sweet, and it happened completely without any planning, which honestly are my favorites. It was super sweet, they were supportive of each other in ways they needed, and I really miss it some days.

EdxEd - Okay, look.....I have no excuse here, I didn’t expect to go for this ship. It was like this ship I’d only heard of in myth and legend. And then one day it was suggested, and sorta just fell into my lap. And it was AMAZING. Ed has only paired up with copies of himself on here a few times, most of them are just weird “wtf why are you me” kinds of threads where nothing else happens and they just become friends. But every single Ed muse I’ve ever seen on here has been different from the next, in multiple ways. Some I see pull more from one sorce or the other(Mine is actually more heavily based on the 03 anime, honestly), some I see with a laundry list of in depth headcanons, and then there’s all the AU varriants... There’s just SO MANY, it’s hard not to find a few that seem to just work out. Again, definitely not a ship for everyone.

The Normandy Level in 'Call of Duty: WWII' Shows How Far the Shooter Has Fallen Call of Duty: World War II is bad. That’s an understatement. World War II is the worst Call of Duty game ever released. The first person shooter series that was once the pinnacle of action games has fallen hard in recent years and—though this newest installment is selling better than the previous ent ry—returning to the franchise’s historical roots has only exposed how bad the game has gotten.. No where is this more apparent than in the game’s opening minutes when it tries—and fails—to recapture the glory of Medal of Honor: Allied Assault’s Normandy invasion mission . Fifteen years ago, publisher Electronic Arts released designer Jason West and Vince Zampella’s Medal of Honor: Allied Assault . The two would go on to leave EA, found Infinity Ward and create Call of Duty . Allied Assault was basically the first Call of Duty game and it was magnificent. Image: EA The standout level came halfway through the campaign when the game tasked players with taking part in Operation Overlord—the Allied Invasion of mainland Europe through beaches in France. With little information of what to do or what to expect, players rode a troop transport ship up to the beach, watched the gate come down, and struggled to survive. The first time I played it back when it released in 2002, I died in a barrage of German gunfire the moment the front of the ship opened. It was unforgiving. Image: EA Call of Duty: World War II opens its campaign with an assault on Normandy beach that plays out much like the one from Allied Assault . Players crash into a beach, dodge bullets, use a Bangalore torpedo to clear barbed wire, and clear out German bunkers. It looked good but it felt off. For one thing, it was far too easy. I cleared the beach and most of the bunkers before dying to a quick time event —a scripted cinematic where the player has to push buttons at the right time not to die—just before the end of the mission. It seemed so lackluster compared to my memory of the horror of Allied Assault’s Normandy mission that I had to go back to check and make sure I wasn’t succumbing to Nostalgia. Spoilers: I was not. Image: EA Even fifteen years later, Allied Assault’s Normandy mission is harrowing. The gates drop, you rush the beach and desperately try to find cover. People are shouting, bullets fly by, and you’re never sure if you’ve got enough time to make it to the next bit of cover. Nowhere felt safe and that’s because nowhere was safe. It felt like a chaotic war zone filled with blood, explosions, and bodies. Through trial and error—dying, always dying—I managed to scramble my way up the beach and find a cozy spot along a wall of barbed wire. A kind medic handed me a health kit and I hunkered down the other soldiers, waiting to be told what to do. Image: EA To progress, I needed to use a Bangalore torpedo to blow up the barbed wire wall and open up the next part of the level. There was a catch though, the Bangalore’s were back down the beach. I had to leave the relative comfort of the barbed wire to grab the missiles, open up fence, and proceed to a mind field overseen by Germans on machine guns. I died again. A lot. This was where I gave up in my replay. I hit a bunker wall with three other soldiers. We had to cross a minefield while Germans peppered us with machine gun fire. The goal was to keep the Germans at bay long enough to cross the field and start clearing out the enemy bunkers. I couldn’t do it. It was just too damn hard. Image: EA Hard, but fun. That’s the thing about the Normandy level in Allied Assault . It was hectic and crazy and hard but a total blast to play. The game gives players just enough direction in the form of shouts from other soldiers to let them figure out how to navigate the war zone, but doesn’t hold their hand through its rendition of one of the deadliest amphibious assaults in military history. By contrast, Call of Duty gives players obvious directions by throwing arrows and waypoints on the user interface. The player is never lost and always knows exactly where to go and how far away the next objective is. Allied Assault’s designers spent the two previous missions teaching the player the game’s systems and trusted them to make it through the difficult obstacle course of gunfire, mines, and death they had crafted. It never felt unfair, just unforgiving. Image: Activision Not so in Call of Duty: World War II . You don’t play the new Call of Duty so much as you watch it unfold like you would a poorly written episode of Band of Brothers . Just like in Allied Assault , players storm the beach, blow up the barbed wire wall, and storm the bunkers. Unlike Allied Assault , the whole thing is done in a series of heavily directed gameplay segments interspersed with cutscenes and quick time events. Image: Activision The gameplay differences are stark. Call of Duty looks much better than Allied Assault but that’s the only improvement. The boat crashes, you end up in the water but you’re in little danger of dying. Your commanding officer drags you onto the beach and, in a scripted scene, you pick up the Bangalore you’ll use to destroy the barbed wire fence. Image: Activison Here, the game finally sets you loose and lets you dodge bullets to find cover. I never died. Not once. Call of Duty has been a linear, on-rails shooter for years but World War II is worse, and when compared with the game that popularized this particular flavor of the military shooter, Allied Assault , it becomes clear just how far the games have strayed from portraying war by letting players do things to portraying war by letting them watch. The new game often feels like watching a movie instead of playing a game. Image: Activison I played through the Normandy mission in World War II twice and both times I felt invincible. I cleared the beach and started killing bunker Nazis in five minutes both times. When I died in Call of Duty , I feel frustrated because the inevitable end of the campaign has been delayed. When I died in Allied Assault , I felt the pressing need to do better and conquer a challenge. Image: Activison This feeling of watching a movie persists across the whole game. The player walks between scripted events, listens to people spout cliches such as “You’re a long way from Texas, farm boy,” and spend far too much time bashing the F key or moving the Mouse to fulfill a quick time event than they should in a first person shooter. Image: Activision Call of Duty games has been in decline for years now, but they’ve always been serviceable, dumb fun. This is the first year where I felt as if the game was completely wasting my time. It wants to cash in on the nostalgia of Allied Assault’s Normandy level without doing anything of the things that made said level interesting. That original Normandy level was striking, and recreated in so many games since because it dropped players on the beach and told them to figure it out or die. This is not a thing that big budget video games do often, and it was a great instance in which game design kinda sorta managed to serve a history lesson. I died on that beach as soon as the door to the boat opened, while diving for cover, and while crawling in the water, because that's how people died there. It made me think about how—if I couldn't reload an earlier save—I couldn't survive on that beach for even a minute. The video game was basically saying: "You'd be so screwed if this wasn't a video game." There’s no chaos, danger, or fun in Call of Duty: World War II . This is what Call of Duty is now—a joyless slog through cutscenes you don’t care about to get more of a game that isn’t good. Just play Allied Assault instead. It holds up.
