Beryl Patmore is the type of person to say that Thomas Barrow is a sarcastic, oily and smug person but the moment you dare to insult him, she will personally make you regret it.

Phyllis Baxter is the type of person to roll her eyes every time Thomas talks about Richard but always smiles proudly to herself when Thomas tells her about his shared afternoon with the valet.

Daisy Parker is the type of person to pretend like she doesn’t know about Mr. Ellis but when she knows that he is visiting, she would bake his favorite biscuits and tell him that she’s happy he’s here.

Andy Parker is the type of person to pretend to be oblivious but has already overheard so many phone calls between Thomas and Richard that made him smile mischievously.

The whole DA staff pretends to not care so much but in reality, they secretly all love their butler and just want to see him happy.

Scene idea where Richard has stopped working in the palace for whatever reason, and He and Thomas have settled down and share a cottage near Downton (bc of course they do) Everyone is hanging out in the servants hall, the Bates, the Molesleys, the Carson, the Parkers, and everyone is giving Ms Patmore grief about being the only not married one, and what the deal with Mr Mason? ANd Carson is like Andy, Thomas is not married. And Andy is like of course he is??!?? Hes married to Mr Ellis?? And all pandemonium breaks loose.

Andy: Oh !! so Mr Molesleys or Mr Carson can come by whenever and have some tea but not Mr Eliis?!?? HE SERVED THE KING!!

meanwhile Mr Carsons eyebrows now live in the attic and Thomas has passed away from The Mortifying Idea of Being Known disease

So I agree with the others that Guy’s and Thomas’s relationship would have benefitted from another scene together (quite frankly I would have thrown out the entire French plot and kept the family at home to focus more on their relationships and all the Hollywood plots since the French plot is a bit of a waste of time).

I would have loved to see something like it is almost dinner and Andy has pulled a thread in his clothes, damaging a cuff. Thomas is trying to quickly fix it, but Guy happens across them. At first Thomas tries to send Guy away since he is guest and shouldn’t have seen this, but Guy reminds them that he used to be a tailor, this is an easy fix for him, so Thomas allows him to help. Guy grabs some thread and while telling a charming story about his days working as a tailor, puts in a quick fix for the cuff. Thomas watches him work with admiration. Guy is showing off a bit since working with clothes is where he actually feels confident and comfortable and Thomas is enjoying watching him. Andy is mostly flustered that a big shot hollywood star is fixing his clothes and does not quite realize what is going on.

It won’t last, as he tells Andy, but it will work for dinner. Andy thanks him and Thomas sends him off to do some pre-dinner task. Thomas then flirts with Guy and Guy flirts back. Thomas mentions he hears actors go by stage names which Guy admits he does, but before they can go further, the clock chimes and Guy has to go to dinner. Guy admits he would rather stay here and Thomas gives him a flirty line before squeezing his hand and departing. Guy watches him leave with a little smile and does that Pride and Prejudice hand thing before going into dinner.
