Ghoul ranks

Maybe unpopular opinion but can I get a magical story without fantasy racism/homophobia please. There are plenty of ways to make a conflict interesting other than bigotry. This is a post about folks putting ghouls in slave-like positions. Granted, I am not versed at all in any religion, so take my phrasing with a grain of salt. Here is my alternative take on ghouls:

Ghouls are a hardworking class of demons that are granted access to the living world, to be summoned. To be special messengers of Satan himself. You think that He’s just sending rinky-dink lower class demons that probably wouldn’t survive the summoning process?? They are living, breathing proof that the Dark Lord exists! You think the humans are abusing these elemental beings like SLAVES??? Dead, immediately.

I think Satan sending Ghouls to the humans is like. Daddy giving his daughter the keys to his expensive car. Ghoulish coworkers are a privilege, an honor to work beside.

Today's the day. The day I go back to the surgeon to get an evaluation and most likely schedule an appointment for the actual surgery.

It’s come to the point where I feel more welcome and safe with theists of any religion than with atheists. I have unfortunately met a lot of atheists who looked down upon theists, overtly telling them that “all religions are cults”, and that their belief is a product of their imagination for which they should seek some sort of professional help. What’s more, some american atheistic communities on social media have begun using the term “heathen” to describe themselves (see: the Talk Heathen podcast), while disregarding the original pagan meaning to this term. Believing in something unproven is not childish, it does not make pagans gullible or mentally unhealthy. Just like christianity shouldn’t be regarded as the norm, atheism shouldn’t either. In the end, atheists can’t prove their position either, as what they do is believe that the divine does not exist. Spirituality and science can coexist (just because phenomena can be explained by science doesn’t entail that science is at the source of everything). For these reasons, (excluding extremists of course), I feel a lot more respected by theists than by atheists since they experience this specific type of disdain. Obviously, one should not mix up the terms atheist and anti-religion, as they are not the same thing at all. However, I have had such uncomfortable experiences with atheists who did not identify as “anti-religion” and who genuinely thought they were doing me a favor by explaining to me that the Gods were a product of my imagination as if I were a child who believed in Santa Claus and not a grown adult embracing their inherent spirituality. To conclude this arguably messy post, be sure that you are welcome on my blog no matter your beliefs and no matter your path, as long as you are respectful of those who do not think like you.
