my gf had never seen the kids show reading rainbow and i was showing her a random ep, watching the opening credits and it said “todays book is read by peter falk” i just shouted “holy shit that’s fucking columbo!” anyway i don’t remember what episode of reading rainbow it was but it was pretty cool! i thought you might be interested in checking that out. the whole ep is free on YouTube and it was a book about a robbery so kind of like a mini columbo episode for kids :)

i think it’s important to keep a perspective that the hate we receive, the haters?? they’re the minority and they’re not part of the fandom. they seem to be bigger because they’re very loud and some of them are running multiple blogs.

fandom is supposed to be fun, to explore transformative works, meet new people. if someone is being hateful lil pricks towards anyone within the fandom, i don’t think they get the rights to call themselves a fan.

Since I have never properly done so, I want to publicly apologize for these two asks I answered in March.

I don’t stand by these statements anymore, and I regretted them as soon as I truly thought about and was (rightfully) called out on my bad wording. I deleted the posts from this blog and saved them in drafts on my ask-log because I was ashamed of them and thought they should stay where I could cringe privately at them. They are now public and will stay public both here and at @kaereth-asklog​ because deleting things doesn’t make them go away.

I am absolutely sorry for this. I was ignorant in what I said and I was saying it in casual opinion - not really thinking hard at all. I’ve learned a lot since and I will try never to do anything like this again. I want to be better and I appreciate every person who comes to me to talk and to help me learn. Thank you all for reading!
