He’s not in-store much anymore so I haven’t seen or talked to him in a loooong time. Listen. There’s still time. Is he an idiot? Yes. Is he too proud for his own good? Certainly. Is he sleeping with an older woman-- one of his mother’s good friends-- who will bring him nothing but pain? Unfortunately. 

BUT he’s also the incredibly smart but frustratingly dumb type. He’s got potential. He just needs to be hammered into shape. Zuko-type redemption arc. Kylo Ren level of angst. I need him to be broken and shattered so that he can be lifted up eventually.

Or he could just die in shame. As long as he doesn’t win, I’m good.

@m-austinbooks: This is gorgeous. I love Aegon’s Dornish clothes (especially the cape) and Rhaenys’s focused expression (and badass sword). I’m curious about what Jon is up to in this AU. I’m guessing he hasn’t gone to the Night’s Watch because of the Stark armour, but I also see Longclaw there.

Thank you! Tbh Egg's clothes gave me quite a bit of grief since I had a hard time looking for a design that would suit him. Fun fact: his clothes and the golden band on his head are patterned after Prince Mors Martell's attire on his wedding to Queen Nymeria in the Histories and Lore featurette, though the colors and the cape with its patterns are all mine. (Another fun fact: Rhaenys' attire is also patterned after Queen Nymeria's outfit as she landed in Dorne though I've used the colors of House Targaryen to reflect Rhaenys' heritage.) And her sword is patterned after Blackfyre though if that is really the lost sword is up for your own personal headcanon.

So Jon. Jon and his mother Lyanna are living in the North and are forbidden from stepping out of it under the pain of death, as Elia decreed when she had Lyanna swear off any claim right after the Battle at the Trident. Actually, Elia's initial condition to letting Lyanna and the baby go back to Winterfell was that when Jon came of age he should go to the Wall but Lyanna, tired and weakened from a hard birth as she was, stood her ground and refused. She will not deprive her son of choice, especially not one that would affect him for life (which is of course ironic since Lyanna choosing to run away with Rhaegar has already effectively narrowed down the possible futures for herself and her son). Their stand-off only ended when the provision that they are forbidden from leading the North was added. Anyway, they are living a relatively quiet life though there are still simmering resentment and snide remarks from those who blamed Lyanna for the war. Jon is still slightly angsty because of this but a huge deal less mopey because his mother is alive (and he knows who his father is though frankly he isn't too pleased about it knowing the grief Rhaegar caused). Jon has a good relationship with his uncles Ned and Benjen and he is raised alongside his cousins.

Since Jon has his mother, he is not exactly tempted to take the black no matter how much his uncle Benjen's tales of the Night’s Watch enthrall him. But he and Lyanna do visit Castle Black from time to time. Lyanna who still retains her feistiness and the desire to wield arms find an outlet in going with the NW in their missions. Of course at first there is much grumbling among the brothers of the NW saying it is no place for a woman and a boy (throw in some misogynistic comments here and there). However, Lyanna proves herself an able fighter in not just one of the wildling raids and so the dissenters turned their protests into disgruntled murmurs. It is in one of their visits that the wight attack still happens and Jon saves the life of Lord Commander Jeor Mormont. He then gives Longclaw to Jon after having the white wolf fashioned on the handle.

So Jon is still a Snow in this AU. He has a very tense relationship with his half-siblings, though this applies more with Rhaenys as Egg is more amiable towards him. Rhaenys still views him as a threat and this plus her hatred of Lyanna skew her perspective when it comes to the North. There are not-so-subtle hints she's throwing out that Jon should take the black which Jon ignores. After a series of adventures and near-death experiences, she and Jon grow closer. One of the things they bond over is the fact that they took after their mothers so much that not much trace of their father can be seen in them (at least physically) which leads Rhaenys asking him if Jon wishes he had known him. To which Jon shakes his head. He is content to know and have his mother and he already has two amazing father figures in his uncles. He has a family in the North, the Starks, and that is more than he could ever wish for.

"We are family too, you know," says Rhaenys after a long beat of silence. "Even if it had taken a long time for me to see it."

Rhaenys then asks Jon if he wants to be legtimized. Which at first confuses Jon because that would bring back the problem that Rhaenys has been dealing with her whole life, not to mention didn't he just say the Starks are the family he knew and loved? Rhaenys then clarifies that she would make him a legitimate Stark, son of Lyanna. Which would be a first since so far legitimization has worked as the bastard children getting their father's surname, not their mother's. To which Rhaenys says well her very rise as the Queen of the Seven Kingdoms has already broken precedents what's this compared to that?

Though Jon is touched by the gesture, he says he knows who he is and that is all that matters. He is not ashamed of his bastard status as he has lived through enough to know that the accident of one's birth does not dictate the nobility of one's character.

Anyway even as he is still a bastard, everyone recognizes him as part of the Stark pack and so he is also gifted the Stark armor. He is all Stark except in name and that is still all right. There is no nitpicking over these privileges because the line of succession of the Stark family is very clear and Jon poses no threat to his cousins.

Oh and Jon still leads the fight against the White Walkers.

Last movie; I haven’t seen a movie in so long I think the last one I watched was John carpenters The Thing with my little brother. Also Knives Out but that’s less I’ve seen it recently and more I think about it constantly.

Currently watching; Prodigal Son is fantastic and I’m waiting to catch up on season two. That. And the Mandolorian. I’m not a big Star Wars buff but god I love everything about it. It’s so good.

Currently reading: imma take this as a webcomic kinda thing? Maybe? Either way I’ve been reading a lot of WEBTOONs. Obviously Lore Olympus (it’s one of the biggest comics on the site right now.) The remarried empress, and suitor armor. All of them are fantastic romances, and all of them are worth the read. (I may or may not also be considering reading H*mest*ck because I’ve never gotten through it but I’m a little scared don’t look at me.)

Physical books; the Martian! The one the movie is based off of. It’s a masterpiece, if only how a single character manages to pull an entire story basically on his own. It’s hilarious, it’s guy wrenching, the word “pirate ninjas” is a thing and I love it. So much.

Fics; to catch a fish by @wishingnova it’s so so so good. Yes I am a fish fucker and it is their fault. It’s an X Reader and it’s really slow to update (not that I have any room to say anything about it) BUT ITS SO SO WORTH IT PLS ITS SUCH A GOOD ROMANCE I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!

Currently craving: uh... headache medicine and a slice of apple pie :P

This is an a major update, so pay attention.

I found out today that my art is being stolen and sold WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. 

Wallpart.com is 100% theft.

It has been happening for years, taking my Tumblr posts and uploading the photos for their own profit. I’m not sure if it was someone on this site, or someone from their company, but I am absolutely appalled. 

It’s so extensive that trying to report a copyright violation will take several hours to even attempt, with no guarantee it will fix the problem.

Anyone who has purchased from this site: please, please stop. The artists who produced these works are being harmed by shit like this. 

And until further notice, I am not posting any more art to Tumblr. If you still want to see my work, go to Instagram @ pallasillustration. The quality is shittier, but at least that means no one will fucking steal it.

Glirastes = Albert Speer

Both Architects who cared more about the order provided by tyranny to create their architecture and buildings with slavery nonetheless. They choose to only see the good side to not remember the catch that they, like the Aureate and Nazis, are slavers.

Glirastes has my sympathies for the people who are dead. But all he is doing now is helping the people that are going to do the same thing or far worse upon Mars if they conquer the planet.

Or even more worse when they get out of the solar system.

So at this point I would love nothing better than to demolish every single building he’s ever made. Or just erase every single existence of his involvement in creating them.

Oh! If you want to read more AUs where Rhaegar dies but Lyanna survives, I recommend @poorshadowspaintedqueens' The Not So Dead Ladies Club (False Sorrow's Eye for a one-shot, Brittle Glory for an on-going multi-chapter)--I especially love the idea of Lyanna as a travelling knight!--and @ramavatarama-o-rama 's Restless AU (they have such gorgeous art to go with their brilliant fic ideas and it was where I first encountered the Lyanna + the Night’s Watch idea). You might also want to check out @netgirl-y2k' s How to Ruin Your Life and Disappoint Your Loved Ones or where Lyanna leads the Rebellion (be warned that Ned dies at the very start).

As for expanding on the trio's relationships, I'm afraid you'll have to be more specific as to which aspect you'd like to learn more about. My ideas are just all over the place that they need something specific to anchor to.
