Hi Nina!
I was wondering in the next book regarding the Porters, will we get more of Ivy? Lol I know that Avery seems to be your fave but Ivy is such a great character and wholeheartedly one of the best in the series. Her story, when it pertains to her getting happiness, is glazed over. I would have loved to read about her wedding. She seems to have had the most character development besides Sav and Vant but the least liked or mentioned out of the girls.
I’m happy Wreck is getting a book bc I wondered about him a lot. Hopefully, his closeness to vant will give us more about he and Ivy as well.
Also, your work is amazing! When I can’t find anything that interest to read, I go back to the Porters or Lemon Pepper.
Hi love!
I’m sorry you feel that way and I don’t have a favorite amongst the girls. Lol. I like them all pretty much the same.
Ivy will be in Wreck’s book but it’s not her story so there won’t be much, only supporting the main characters.
Also, Ivy and Vant’s wedding has a whole blog to itself. Here is the link: https://www.tumblr.com/authornina/662621874721865728/finally-i-do-the-porter-way-this-has-not-been
Thank you so much and I’m so happy you’ve enjoyed my work.🤎

Happy Anniversary to me! It was a year ago today that I completed this jauggernaut of a series. I am so proud of what it’s become and how much love FSP & On Us receives. I started out simply writing how I was feeling in the characters of five boys. The journey in fiction and through real life has been amazing. Thank you to all the readers who have and continue to support my work!❤️

Snapped/Pie Session: Sav & Chi
Tumblr media
***THIS HAS NOT BEEN THROUGH A TYPICAL EDITING PROCESS; ALL SHORTS ARE ROUGH DRAFTS***
“Sav, chill nigga!” Roddy shouted holding onto the door. He was down for any and everything with his guys but Sav was driving like a maniac.
Roddy didn’t think him simply putting his friend on game that his wife was with her ex would have him on the verge of dying. He thought the life he lived had a higher chance to take him before a car accident. He watched Sav steer with one hand, text, while going damn near a hundred through residential blocks. He clicked his seat belt on and prayed to Allah.
“I swear to God, I’ma kill this bitch. Here,” Sav tossed Roddy his phone. “Call Avery and tell her I’m bouta go to jail for killin’ her fuckin’ whore ass friend.”
Sav started hitting the steering wheel hard as hell then bent it all the way to the right making the car spin the corner on two wheels.
“Bro! Chill! You gonna fuckin’ kill us!”
“She been wanted to leave me for this bitch ass nigga! This why she always cool with us gettin’ a divorce with her whore ass! I swear on my Daddy bro...”
Roddy stared at Sav like he was insane talking to himself. The nigga started having a whole ass conversation and providing answers.
“Ayo…A, this Roddy. No man, listen! If I die, please tell my momma I love her and I’m sorry I didn’t finish school like she wanted me to. Make sure she get my whole Jordan collection and tell her Jasmine dumbass baby might be mine. I’m sorry I denied it, but she was a hoe, that coulda been anybody baby! I ain’t no bad nigga, I was just caught up.” Roddy was on the verge tears.
“What is going on?”
“Sav said he bouta be in the clink and to call you. Tell them niggas I’m prolly either gon’ be next to him in a cell or in the muhfuckin’ morgue.”
“What? Why? LAKE!”
“Chi dumbass somewhere fuckin’ her ex and we on our way but I don’t think we gon’ make it, bro!”
“Oh my lord, can he hear me?”
“Yea.”
“Sav, turn the goddamn car around now before you do something stupid and jeopardize your whole future! This is exactly what we are talking about! You are fuckin’ unstable and you need to grow up! You and Chi with this tit for tat shit is childish!”
When the car came to a screeching halt tapping a blacked-out BMW truck, almost sending them both through the windshield Roddy opened one eye and looked around like a dickhead.
“Oh shit!” he felt all over his body then started patting Sav’s head. “We made it! We alive nigga!”
Sav stared at the house for a minute and then put his head against the steering wheel with his eyes closed. Roddy could have sworn he was praying.
“Where are y’all?”
“Naw A we good now, don’t worry bout it,” Roddy said, bouncing back with the quickness, wiping his eyes.
“Now what happened to your ass? A minute ago you was crying!”
“Yea well, we made it safe and I’m back on my bully with my nigga, fuck is you talkin bout? Don’t tell my mommy shit and I know that hoe baby ain’t mine!” Roddy hung up on her. His phone rang right after that displaying Bro 3. “Yo.”
“Tell Sav he fuckin’ better not do no dumb shit!” Wreck yelled so loud Roddy had to cut the phone down a little bit.
“He in his head right now, bro. Ion know what he bouta—” Roddy was cut off by Sav getting out. He didn’t know why he pulled up on him in one of Dem’s cars but as he glanced out the back window he knew now.
“Where the fuck is they at?” Roddy heard Daly in the background. His eyes got wider when he saw Sav pull out Dem’s automatic. He hurriedly hopped out and tried to stop his friend from airing more than the nigga Bu to smitherings.
“Ard bro, chill, chill!” Roddy tried to stop Sav. It wasn’t funny anymore. He saw that look in his eyes and what Avery said clicked in his mind. He was so riled up that even he was moving a little crazy. If this were anybody else, he’d support and be all with the dumb shit to the fullest but Sav really did have a lot to lose. So, Roddy did what he knew one of his brothers would’ve done. “Bro, I know you mad right now and her being here ain’t helpin’ but really think about your next move before you make it. You wanna off this nigga, we on it witchu, but I can’t let you do it like this. Let me take you home to your kids.”
Roddy could see his words were working until the screen door opened on the house and Chi stepped out. Everything went from ten to one hundred when Bu came behind her. Sav didn’t think anything in that moment except death. All rationality went out the window when he raised the gun aimed right at Bu’s nut ass.
“Bro!” Roddy grabbed his arm and bullets went flying into other houses and cars. Chi dropped to ground screaming. “Give me this muthafucka!” he was struggling with Sav’s strong ass.
Sav said fuck it, letting the gun go, running right up on the porch and gave Bu every combination in the book. Chi was too scared to get up at first, but blood was dripping everywhere, and she didn’t know where it was coming from. When she checked her body, confirming that it wasn’t her she got up.
“Stop, Sav!” Chi jumped on his back. “You gonna kill him! We wasn’t doin’ shit!”
“Aye!” Roddy pulled her ass off Sav and held her back while his nigga went to work. “You gon’ go against your husband for this nigga?!”
Chi was trying her best to get out of his hold. Bu did not deserve this, and she felt terrible for how he was getting done right now. Sav said fuck hands and started using his feet to stomp Bu to the pearly gates. Sav told her a long time ago that if Bu died it was her fault.
A car’s screeching tires caught their attention. Wreck and Daly hopped out and Roddy knew they were about to be in trouble for this nut shit. It didn’t take much to figure out where they would be, and they stopped what they were doing to deal with Sav’s marital issues.
“Bro, chill!” Wreck grabbed Sav and he wanted to go off, but he looked at his little brother and saw all the hurt in his eyes. “Come on, man.”
Sav was still trying to make sure Bu was unrecognizable and Chi was crying her eyes out for her friend. She shouldn’t have come there bringing her drama his way yet again.
“Is this nigga even still breathing?” Daly asked. “Fuck that, ion even care, let’s go for the laws come around this muhfucka!”
“Fuckin’ bitch!” Sav shouted pointing at Chi while Wreck had to basically carry him away. “On my Daddy you ain’t shit to me! Fuck you! You wanna run to this nigga the second it’s a problem? You was fuckin’ him all this time!” Sav was foaming at the mouth in rage.
“Fuck you, Sav!”
“We gon’ see bitch! If I was you, I wouldn’t even go home! Don’t go to my brother’s house, you might as well leave the country cause when I fuckin’ get my hands on you bitch, I’m gon’ FUCKIN’ kill you!”
It took Roddy, Wreck and Daly to get Sav in the car. Chi was lucky that they stayed in the hood because she probably would’ve been looking like Bu if they let him go.
                                                         *******
“Sav, calm the fuck down! Damn!” Wreck yelled, getting annoyed with his little brother’s tantrum. He locked him in their count room while they resumed what they were doing before being rudely interrupted.
“Her slut ass wanna accuse me of all types of shit and now she go runnin’ back to this same lame ass nigga that I swear I’m gon’ wipe off the face of this fuckin’ earth if he not dead already! I told that bitch I ain’t fuck nobody on her ass since we got married! The fuck she want me to give the truth in blood?! I ain’t lyin’!”
“Nigga, fuck that nut ass nigga and honestly, don’t get mad when I say this, but fuck Chi too. I told you marrying her ass was dumb. You too young for that shit and she like to move as if she a nigga out here. Shit remind me of Najaah and now that I’m thinkin’ bout it, I should’ve let you fuck her up!”
“Don’t tell him that,” Daly smiled shaking his head. “He gon’ leave and beat her ass.”
“Nah, I’m for real. I hate bitches like that. I don’t mind a woman that’s sexually free and shit. I actually appreciate a bitch that own her whore ways but what I don’t like is a hoe that don’t know her muthafuckin’ place!” Wreck was speaking from personal history and own place of hurt.
“How Chi don’t know her place?” Sav asked ready to defend the woman he was just swearing off for life. He and his wife were ass backwards which was why anyone barely wanted to get involved. They fought like cats and dogs but the moment someone tried to intervene they would turn on you together.
“Nigga you ain’t ready for no G talk,” Wreck flagged him away. “You still in love.”
“Duh nigga!” Daly laughed. “He just got his heart broke like five minutes ago!”
“Like I said, fuck her Sav. If you wanna fight cause of that shit let me know…yo,” Wreck squinted at the security monitor. “Somebody go up there and let Dem in.”
“Fuck wrong with his code?” Roddy asked getting up. “I thought he could still come here.”
“Lake took all his access away the other day.”
“Oh shit, now watch I gotta hear his mouth bout this too,” Roddy blew his breath.
Wreck jumped up and tackled Sav to the floor when he saw him trying to leave. Daly shook his head at their grown dumbasses.
“Get the fuck off me nigga!” Sav was trying his best to crawl out.
“Fuck is y’all doin’?” Dem stood at the door staring at his brothers on the floor. He stepped right over them going into the room. “Lake bouta be here.” He started tossing money all over the place and Daly threw his hands up officially done. This was the fifth time Dem came there doing this because he was mad about getting cut off.
“Every time you and Sav come here, it’s a disturbance!” Daly got up to pour himself a drink. He didn’t care what he did as long as he wasn’t actually destroying the money. Lake told him and Wreck to let Dem vent after the third time when they were about to beat his ass.
“Come on, dawg!” Roddy shouted almost stepping on Sav and Wreck. “You gotta chill!”
“Fuck you, nigga!” Dem spat and threw stack after stack, raining money everywhere.
Roddy understood where Dem’s anger came from. It was supposed to be him next. They argued and even fought it out with each other already so now he, Wreck and Daly just had to wait until Dem got over it.
Sav finally gave up and just laid on the floor staring at the ceiling. Wreck was about to put the secure lock on until he seen Lake coming.
“Listen,” Lake walked in and slammed the door. “I’m gettin’ real sick of y’all niggas!”
“The fuck did we do?” Wreck asked obliviously.
“Sav, you shootin’ up shit in broad daylight for what?” They all held in the strain to not address the pot calling the kettle black because Lake had the nerve. “You wanna throw your whole future away cause your wife cheated?”
“You mean to tell me if Avery was fuckin’ another nigga you wouldn’t be on some shit?!”
“This ain’t about me!” Lake shouted and they all died. They knew for damn sure he would probably kill everything in sight before he let Avery be with somebody else. This new Lake was funny as hell to them. “Why the fuck would you shoot at the mother of your kids?”
“I wasn’t tryna shoot her! If Roddy dumbass ain’t grab my arm I woulda hit my target! It’s his fault!”
“Nigga it looked like you was aiming for her!” Roddy defended himself.
“And if I was, how that’s your business?!”
“Oh word?”
“Yea, nigga!” Sav got up and so did Roddy.
Only because of who Sav’s opponent was did Dem not react. Anybody else would’ve been got for raising up on his little brother but Roddy even though he wasn’t fucking with him at the moment was like family. He’d done shit for and with them that most people wouldn’t risk their freedom to do. If he allowed anyone to shoot a fair one with Sav, it’d be him.
“Y’all gon’ get it poppin’ or what?” Wreck stared at them amused.
“Both y’all dumbasses sit down!” Daly stood up. The childishness was prevalent when they both lowered themselves to their chairs slowly not wanting to be the first to sit. They all just watched the foolishness. “Roddy who older?” he asked him.
“What?”
“Who older?”
“I am.”
“Okay so you did the right thing. Fuck what Sav mad about. He still got a lot of growin’ up to do.” Daly turned to Sav. “You should be thankin’ him for sparing your future.”
“Yea, thank me, nigga.”
“Fuck you!”
“Sav,” Lake stepped to him in all seriousness. He was over the dumb shit, especially with him and Chi. All they did was go back and forth. Either they were ready to grow up or separate for good. “Get this shit with Chi under control before I do it for y’all.”
                                                       *******
Dr. Pie sat staring at Sav and Chi waiting for either of them to begin. They were on opposite ends of the sofa turned away from one another. Chi updated her the day before hysterically and explained from her point of view everything that had transpired. Thankfully no one was hurt too badly.
“Sav, what happened?”
“Ask her.”
“I wasn’t fuckin’ him, we was only talkin’.”
“Same thing dickhead!” to Sav, because of Bu and Chi’s history, there was no difference. She shared her feelings with another nigga. Deep feelings. A lot of shit he tried to pull from her, she gave it to Bu, and he hated that. That was worse than having sex.
“No it’s not!”
“What brought you two here? In this current state? I know there were issues stemming from the past however I thought that we were making progress together.”
“He was fuckin’ that bitch Kierra the whole time—”
“No I wasn’t! That’s your fuckin’ problem, you always believe what a hoe say over me!”
“Because you a liar! Been lyin’ to me since I met your sorry ass!”
“Sav, were you having an affair?” Dr. Pie quizzed.
“I fucked her while she was pregnant, but it stopped like right before we got married.”
“Was there an agreement in place? From what I’m hearing that’s what it sounds like.”
“Right before we got married, I told Sav straight up, don’t marry me if you can’t be faithful. I was like I don’t want nobody else but you and if I’m not enough, say that shit now. He said he was done with the dumb shit and I said I was too. I really meant it, his hoe ass didn’t!”
“Okay, we are here to better your marriage and that starts with honesty…plain and simple, have either of you had an affair?”
“No,” Sav and Chi said at the same time then looked at one another still not believing each other’s word.
“Chi why don’t you believe Sav?”
“Because he was always cheatin’ on me!”
“Sav, why don’t you believe Chi?”
“Because anytime I fucked around on her she did the same thing, she believe I did this time and I didn’t. I ain’t been with nobody else after we got married. I’m not lyin’ bout that shit, Chi.”
“Then how come you won’t believe that I ain’t do shit with Bu?”
Dr. Pie actually believed the both of them when they expressed not having any extramarital affairs. She could because her view was clear however the way Sav and Chi saw one another had been damagingly tainted. Trust was absolutely non-existent.
“Who is Bu, Chi?” Dr. Pie asked and Chi sighed heavily.
“He my friend.”
“And this friendship, it bothers your husband?”
“Yes.”
“Do you feel like it’s not one you can give up on the strength of your husband?”
“I go long periods without talking to him. I just feel like…I don’t know. When you don’t have closure, it’s hard.”
“You feel Bu owes you closure?”
“No not him, the situation.”
“Sav, does Chi’s friendship with another man make you feel a little jealous?”
“Not at all.”
“Yes it do, but Pie the crazy thing is, what Bu and me went through was a long time ago. Are we still friends? Yes. Do we like to go back and remember? Share what the fuck we lost? Yes! He knew my brother! It was a kid we had together! Sav knew all this shit, I told him about all of it. I don’t say anything when his ass be sad over fuckin’ Vee! I love Savannah like she is my own, can’t nobody tell me different about my baby. At least I’m not sad over losin’ a nigga! I lost a baby! My fuckin’ brother!”
“Chi, you and Bu had a child that the two of you lost?”
“Yes,” Chi sniffled. “We was young but still…”
Sav sighed heavily not meaning to make Chi feel like her mourning was a problem. He did know about her having a baby when she was a teenager and that it was by Bu. That wasn’t the issue though. Her always lying about shit and being sneaky with his ass was.
“Chi—”
“No!” she snatched her hand away from Sav. “Don’t act like you give a fuck now! You always wanna pull me one way! I’m not even gon’ fraud, have I crossed the line with Bu? Yes, before we got married, I did but we just friends now. I can’t help the way he feels about me though.”
“So it’s cool to be around a nigga that still wanna fuck you?”
“I’m not saying that!”
“What I’m taking from everything I’m hearing is that, there aren’t any actual affairs going on but you two are having major communication issues and trouble setting boundaries. Also, I do sense some emotional and intimate affairs being had outside of your marriage. Some baggage that you two are attached to that you can’t let go. Having friends isn’t the problem but disrespecting your partner and not considering each other’s feelings is. I’ve explained to you both time and time again how important it is to let go of the selfishness. This is not a one-way street. You two need to realize that.”
“This what I be sayin’ to her but she don’t listen. Whether or not you his friend, that nigga still got feelings for you. He gon’ wanna fuck regardless.”
“Sav, please stop actin’ like you perfect.”
“I’m not and never claimed to be my nigga! But you love playin’ the victim card for dumb shit! Oh he put his hands on me,” Sav mocked her. “After you fuckin’ forgave me and I ain’t touched you since! He put Dem before everything,” he continued. “He miss Vee and don’t love me, he never home, he don’t like my stretch marks. WHAT THE FUCK CAN I DO RIGHT? How the fuck can I satisfy you, Chi? Cause on everything I love at this point I ain’t got shit left.”
Chi didn’t have a response because he did do everything possible to make her happy and sometimes, she felt as if she wasn’t enough. Instead of communicating that to Sav, she just went back to her old ways of being a bitch.
“Sav, what I’m hearing is you want your wife to acknowledge the things you do—”
“I don’t need her to acknowledge shit. Anything I do is because I love her. I’m just sayin’…sometimes…she could just…shut the fuck up.”
Sav was not no traditional ass husband. He knew that he wasn’t even close to prince charming, but he did take care of his family and tried his very best to make Chi happy. At the end of the day, he just wanted silence and his dick sucked. Not to come home and be accused of everything under the sun then complain when he didn’t want to touch her after being cursed out for hours.
“I’m sorry.”
“Chi, why did you apologize to Sav?”
“Because some of what he said is right. I do be bitchin’ but that’s because…” she sighed. “Ion know, he do everything and I don’t really do nothing but take care of our kids. I’m not even the same from when we first met, Day gave me all these—”
“Takin’ care of them is enough and for the last time…don’t nobody care bout no fuckin’ stretch marks bro, you’on even got alot! You still gon’ get fucked either way, I mean, so what the fuck?”
“Oh my…what I’m hearing is Sav loves you no matter how much you change physically, Chi.”
“What about what I need emotionally? I don’t feel like he is there for me.”
“You see how you wait until we get in front of somebody to say shit like that? Pie, I lie to you not her ass ain’t never said that at all until we started coming here.”
“Because you never home! You don’t talk to me! We use to be like this, Pie,” Chi twisted her pointer and middle finger together. “I mean we would talk on the phone while we was goin’ to the bathroom and ain’t care. Sav told me everything, now it’s just like I’m his bitch ass housewife and that’s corny!”
“You want your friend back as well.”
“Yes!”
“I am your fuckin’ friend! I listen to all the bullshit you be talkin’ bout!”
“Maybe it’s not bullshit to her Sav, maybe Chi wants you to engage with her. She is at home with your children most of the day while you work I assume?”
“Somethin’ like that.”
“Chi, when Sav isn’t giving you what you need, go to him. This friendship with this other man doesn’t seem to be one that’s healthy for your marriage, unless the relationship you have with this other man is more important than the one you have with your husband--”
“It’s not.”
“Okay then, your husband is not comfortable with it seeing as you and this man have a very intimate past. Now, Sav, Chi wants more than a husband--wife relationship. She wants you to be her friend too. The friend she fell in love with. She seeks that from someone else because of familiarity. The same familiarity Chi feels she is currently missing with you.”
“So tell her she can’t see that nigga no more.”
“I can’t do that, that is something the two of you need to find common ground on. Chi, Sav doesn’t want you to be involved with him anymore, is that a request you can accept?”
The decision wasnt a hard one. Chi loved Bu but it was love from a long time ago. The past kept them so close. It wasn’t anything new. Sav was the future and she loved him more than Bu when weighing all the facts. Sav had more pros. When she was angry, only the cons came to mind. She decided in that moment to stop trying to fight him tit for tat. Someone had to be mature enough to handle their problems better otherwise this marriage was doomed. Plus, she really didn’t want Bu to die.
“Yea, I won’t see or talk to him anymore.”
“What do you need from Sav in return?”
“He need to stop bein’ so fuckin’ friendly, when we talk about boundaries that mean with these hoes too.”
“Sav, is there anything else you need?”
“Unlike her, I actually love everything about the person I married.”
“Now why would you say that? I do love you! See, Pie! He always sayin’ I don’t love him no more!”
“Sav why do you feel like that?”
“Cause she always on this nigga dick anytime somethin’ happen between us. Why the fuck do another nigga know all my marital problems and shit? I prolly be friendly but don’t no bitch know shit about my wife and what the fuck we got goin’ on in our house!”
“You know what? I’ma hold myself accountable and acknowledge his feelings because he right,” Chi said and Dr. Pie couldn’t have been prouder. She validated her husband all on her own without being dismissive. The verbiage she used was perfect and straight out of one Pie’s sessions with them. “I shouldn’t be talkin’ to nobody about him or our marriage and it won’t happen again.”
They were creating healthy communication. Sometimes it took some fussing and fighting to find common ground. Arguing wasn’t a bad thing as long as they were prepared for solution after addressing the problem. When you started a relationship with the trauma and baggage these two did, the work to get in a healthy place was never easy but small moments like that were progress and what Dr. Pie hoped for. Shit didn’t happen in a day, and usually took a few tries but time and time again she witnessed couples find their own paths of love and healing.
Sav and Chi were still very young so nothing but patience and time would help these two as long as they were willing. Dr. Pie saw the love, it was apparent, she just needed them to want to work a little harder and not give up on one another so easily. They reminded her so much of Ivy and Vant. The back and forth, it was all so familiar except Sav and Chi went into marriage like this whereas Vant and Ivy worked through it beforehand.
“Sav, your wife acknowledged your feelings? How do you feel?”
“Like fuckin’ her right here,” Sav answered pulling Chi on his lap making her smile. “She never say I’m right. I feel all validated and shit.”
“Now get on out,” Dr. Pie pointed to the door and they laughed. “But seriously, I’m happy we were able to get back on common ground. Understand that sex is fine, but it won’t be the final seal you need to close these cracks. There is still a lot of work to do.”
“And we gon’ do the work, Pie,” Chi promised. “For real this time.”

Pie Session: Sav & Dem (cont...)
Tumblr media
***THIS HAS NOT BEEN THROUGH A TYPICAL EDITING PROCESS; ALL SHORTS ARE ROUGH DRAFTS***
“Forgiveness is what?” Lake asked, getting no response. He was the only one standing up. “I said forgiveness is MUTHAFUCKIN’ WHAT?”
“A must amongst brothers,” Sav, Dem and even Vant finished.
“So why the fuck do I have to come and break up a fight between—no why THE FUCK did I have to hear you sayin’ you hate Dem, Sav? Why you lookin’ at your brother with that much hate? I don’t give a fuck what it’s bout!”
“Lake—”
“Nah, hold on a minute,” Lake cut Dr. Pie off, he wasn’t trying to be rude, but this wasn’t that. This was where he didn’t allow anyone to intervene. His brothers, their relationship with one another was his territory. She understood where his fatherly instincts came from when dealing with them, so Dr. Pie let Lake handle this his way.
After the fight he dragged his two little brothers in her office. There would be no going home to fester on anger or time apart to overthink the situation. He didn’t do beef between Sav and Dem. Not like this, not now, not ever.
“What the fuck you do to my brothers?” Lake asked Demetria who was sitting there looking like a dummy. “They be cool until you come fuckin’ with one of them.”
“I didn’t do a damn thing! I didn’t know Sav’s girlfriend was his wife! They don’t tell me their business!”
“Sav…” Dem got up and sat next to his little brother who wouldn’t look at him. “On Daddy, Ion remember that shit. It was me, Chi and Diamond but ion know what happened. You my heart bro, I wouldn’t do shit to intentionally hurt you.”
When Sav was mad there was silence and Dem knew this. He was the king of the silent treatment and he hated it. His little brother only got shit off his chest once then would ignore you until he felt like talking.
“Sav, do you hear him talkin’ to you?” Vant asked him. “Stop bein’ a fuckin’ nut!” Silence.
“If I may…” Dr. Pie inserted, staring at Lake who’d in her opinion politely shut her down the first time. However, she wanted to try a more therapeutic route now. “Sav, we didn’t hear much of what Dem had to say. I believe he was trying to explain. You have every right to be upset and are entitled to your feelings, I think you should at the very least hear your brother out. This is more than just your brother, Dem is your best friend, yes?”
“He my best friend, but best friends…brothers don’t do that to each other.”
“What did Dem do?”
“He went the fuck to her,” Sav pointed to Demetria. “Behind my back! I wouldn’t ever tell a outsider shit about my brothers!”
“I’m an outsider?” Demetria questioned as if she wasn’t.
“That’s what the fuck he said,” Vant snapped.
In that very moment Dr. Pie realized it wasn’t about Dem sleeping with Chi at all. He felt betrayed by his brother’s actions with their mother. In actuality, Sav probably didn’t even care or register that Dem slept with his somewhat girlfriend at the time. Their relationship to one another obviously knew no bounds even against wives. Dem and Sav would consistently choose each other over everything.
“Sav, I’m sorry.”
“We vowed to hate her, Dem. I know it seem childish as fuck and that was a long time ago but that’s what I did for you, I wouldn’t love her, spend time with her, nothing. I would never go to nobody about you, especially her. She throw that shit in my face like she do to you and I know you was happy bout it!”
“Sav, why the fuck would I be happy she told you some shit like that? I didn’t even remember that happened either!”
“Rushon was there, he picked Dem up from my house. I have nothing to lie for.”
“So two of my brothers is fuckin’ nuts,” Sav scoffed.
“Nigga watch your fuckin’ mouth,” Vant warned him. His baby brother was stepping out of his lane now and into Rushon Porter which he had no tolerance for. Wreck wasn’t there to defend himself, so he wasn’t about to let that slide.
“Out of all the people to talk about me to, you choose her?”
“Sav…”
“Naw, it’s all good.” Sav sat back staring ahead not necessarily at Dr. Pie but more so in her direction as his focal point.
“It ain’t all good if you actin’ like this, Sav,” Lake said. “Make up with him right now.”
“I forgive you,” Sav declared with a blank face, voice void of any emotion.
“Do you, Sav?”
“Yes, I’m just mad right now but I’ll get over it. “
“Well you was sayin’ some hurtful shit.”
“You did some hurtful shit!” Sav snapped.
“Ard, relax,” Vant laughed. “Y’all too damn old to be fightin’ still anyway.”
“Vant shut up,” Lake told him.
The office door burst open and Chi’s eyes were only for Sav. She walked over kneeling in front of him, taking his hand, placing it over her heart. They were all at Lake and Avery’s house when he got the call. They knew something happened, but Lake didn’t say anything before he left. They got Ivy to text Vant and he told her what happened. Chi raced to Dr. Pie’s office.
“Sav, on our daughters, I did not fuck Dem—”
“Man—”
“No baby listen,” Chi grabbed his hand tighter. “That night it was me, him and Diamond. We all went to her house, we was off pills and shit. I went upstairs because I started feeling sick. Lookin’ back I think that’s when I was first pregnant but anyway, ion know what the fuck happened while I was up there, but I came back down and Diamond was fucked up and Dem was on the couch knocked out, like dead ass sleep. I had to check to make sure the nigga was breathin’ cause he looked dead. Diamond said they was fuckin’ then he just started tweakin’. At that time, I’m thinkin’ it was the pills but knowing what I know now, it was…well…” Chi nodded, not needing to say what exactly was wrong with him since everyone already knew. “The next day, he got up and didn’t say shit, we was in the kitchen like nothing happened, Diamond wasn’t even mad. Dem left and that was it. On everything I did not fuck him but that weird ass night I just never even brought up because ain’t shit happen so there wasn’t shit to tell. Dem ain’t say anything either so I’m like oh ard we cool, it was a bad night but it’s whatever. Sav, I did not know what was wrong with Dem back then and my intentions was not to fuck him.”
“That’s why Diamond be actin’ like that now?”
“Yea nigga, you fucked my friend up,” Chi rolled her eyes at Dem then softened when they went back on her husband. “I ain’t even sayin’ this to cover me, I’m tellin’ you because I know Dem mean everything to you. He was not even tryna fuck with me like that but we both cool with Diamond and he knew I was your hoe then, so it was never on some behind your back shit. We was just chillin’, it went left and that’s it. I guess he thought we fucked cause it was the morning after and me and Diamond in the kitchen basically naked still cause you know we don’t like clothes.”
“So…wait a minute,” Vant scrunched his face up in confusion. “Dem blacked out?”
“I guess that’s what it was, ask Diamond,” Chi shrugged. “Like I said, at that time, I thought he was tweakin’.”
Sav turned to his brother with tears in his eyes. He said all that mean stuff to him and he was in a vulnerable place. He was hurt Dem went to his mother about the situation, but it was probably because he thought he did something wrong to Sav.
“It’s ard bro,” Dem said, already seeing his little brother ready to cry. He looked just as he did when they were kids and Sav would get his feelings hurt from Dem being mean to him.
“Naw,” Sav took his hand from Chi hugging Dem. “I’m sorry man…I didn’t mean it. I know you love me.”
Chi got up, standing to her feet satisfied. She did not come there to clear her name, but to make things right with her husband and his brother. A happy healthy Dem meant a happy healthy Sav and mostly everyone settled on those terms. It just was what it was.
“Sav, it’s ard. I know how you get when your feelings hurt but I would never hurt you bul. You everything to me.”
“I know but I ain’t have to do all that,” Sav cried with an ugly ass face making them all laugh. “That shit wasn’t cool bro.”
“Ayo,” Dem smiled, hugging his brother tighter. “It’s ard, I promise as long as you forgive me.”
“You still love me?”
“Always.”
“Y’all niggas stay on that gay shit,” Vant shook his head.
“Nigga you and Wreck still fall asleep on the phone together,” Lake revealed. “Shut the fuck up.”
“We do not!” Vant denied knowing damn well.
“That’s the story that was told to me so don’t think I tried to start some mess,” Demetria said, ruining the moment entirely. It was like throwing ice cold water on someone while they were dreaming peacefully. “He said he felt bad for having sex with that one,” she pointed to Chi with her nose turned up.
“Oh, this your mom, Sav?” Chi asked, then took her earrings off and started for Demetria but Sav hopped up holding her back. Dr. Pie didn’t need to witness another fight. They already did the most at her place of business.
“Chill…”
“Naw cause she tryna cause problems in my household and I don’t even know this hoe!”
“Hoe? Little girl please, the same heifer that slept with both of my sons?”
“Yes, hoe! The same heifer that can’t even love her own damn kid! The same heifer that call my husband beggin’ for money! Yea, you hoe!”
“Chi,” Dr. Pie stood up, grabbing her hand. “Come on, let’s have a seat.” She sat her down in her chair. “Let me ask, Dem why did you think you’d had sex with Chi after that night?”
“I can’t remember.”
“What made you tell your mother that you slept with Chi?”
“Ion know, I don’t really remember.”
“Do you have these blackouts often?” Dr. Pie asked, and Dem looked at Lake then Demetria. He didn’t want to talk about it in front of her. In front of everyone like this. The whole room’s attention was on him and he didn’t like that.
“Everybody get the fuck out,” Lake said. “Especially you,” he pointed to Demetria. Sav pulled Chi to the side and they seemed to be in an argument but kissed one another then she sucked her teeth and left. “You want me to stay Dem?”
“Nah…”
“Ard, I love you man,” Lake hugged him then Sav. Vant did the same and they left.
“Were you not comfortable with everyone around?” Dr. Pie asked Dem who shrugged. “May I ask why?”
“It just ain’t something I talk about wit everybody.”
“Sav is still here.”
“Cause my baby brother seen me in ways even Lake hasn’t before.”
“Were you one of those ways the night with Chi?”
“I guess,” Dem shrugged. “I don’t remember.”
Dr. Pie assessed Sav more than she did Dem. It seemed as if they were communicating even without looking at one another. They sat close and without boundaries. She’d never seen black men be knee to knee so comfortably. Especially not in their age group.
The most interesting part was every time it seemed as if Dem was ready to try an recall, Sav would tap his leg to Dem’s and then the response of him not remembering came.
“How often would you say these blackouts occurred?”
Dr. Pie waited for a tap from Sav, but nothing so Dem got ready to answer. She was completely floored and never noticed it before. It was astounding that the little brother protected his big brother so much that he didn’t want him even saying certain things that could possibly hurt him or almost, trigger him. Dr. Pie found it admirable whether it stunted Dem’s mental health or not. She would hope it was something they were able to work through but dealing with these two, she could tell it wouldn’t be anything close to easy.
“When all that shit happened, yea, they was happenin’ a lot.”
“How does that make you feel?”
“Me not remembering is worst then knowing. Sav was there for a lot of my blackouts. He can tell me the shit I did. When he not there…” Dem shook his head. “I get lost…real lost.”
“You were lost the night with Chi?”
“Mhm…”
“If I may, why did you go to your mother after you left Diamond’s house?”
Dem sighed heavily, then looked at Sav who turned to him briefly. They were making sure this was okay for each other to talk about. This was a part of them neither Sav nor Dem liked to get personal about with anyone outside of Lake.
Tap.
“I don’t remember.”
“Sav, you said the two of you vowed to hate your mother? When did this occur?”
“We was like eleven and thirteen.”
“This pact still means something to you until this day.”
“My daddy told me nothing come before him, so nothing ever has and I don’t need no speech about why our relationship unhealthy or weird. We done heard it all and I don’t care. My daddy said Dem is my responsibility so that’s just what it is. I’ll die by that.”
Dr. Pie was no match for the reign that was their father. Even Lake stood by principles until that very day of the man who’d raised them up to be what she saw today. In her opinion, the late Hassan did some serious indoctrinating on these boys for them to live by things that were solidified in their childhood. Again, admirable but very unhealthy.
“Does your wife and children stand a chance against Dem?”
“The love is different, it’s that simple.”
“Dem, is it the same way for you?”
“Yea,” he shrugged. “It’s just different. Can’t explain it.”
“I already know what you thinkin’,” Sav laughed. “It ain’t like we love each other more than our kids, the shit just different.”
“Are either of you willing to expound?”
“No,” Dem answered for the both of them. “It ain’t something anybody can understand.”
“Do your older brothers understand?”
“Yea,” Sav nodded. “But they gave up a long time ago.”

Introducing: Loire Ivy Porter
Tumblr media
***THIS HAS NOT BEEN THROUGH A TYPICAL EDITING PROCESS; ALL SHORTS ARE ROUGH DRAFTS***
"Sav please get the hell out my face!” Avery yelled at him. He was standing at her side doing breathing exercises as if he were the one having a baby. She wasn’t even in active labor.
They were out shopping when her water broke and he’d been acting a damn fool. First, he had the nerve to still pay for all their stuff while everyone was looking at him crazy, then he stopped to get something to eat on the way to the hospital. If Avery wasn’t hungry too she would’ve beat him up.
“I’m tryna help ya fat ass!”
“Do it look like she comin’ right now? Call me fat again! Matter fact, get out! Don’t come back until Lake get here!”
“He said not to leave you.”
“What did I say?”
“Your word don’t trump his nigga, fuck outta here.” Sav moved her over and laid down. Avery wanted to elbow him right in the mouth. “You nervous?” he asked, rubbing her big stomach.
“A little bit, I didn’t have to do all this with River so I don’t know what to expect. Ivy and Haze said it wasn’t hard.”
“You doin’ it natural, right?”
“I’m gonna try.”
“You gon’ be good, A.”
“I just want her to make it out,” Avery said, sadly.
“A, she gon’ be fine. Don’t worry bout that shit.”
Sav and Avery talked just about everything so he already knew she was afraid to give vaginal birth for the first time. He constantly told her not to stress about it.
Lake walked in and Avery instantly relaxed. Everything automatically felt better and her confidence went up ten notches. He bent down giving her a kiss and if she wasn’t about to have his daughter she would’ve pulled him on top of her and went to town.
“Get the fuck out her bed nigga!”
“Oh now since you here, I ain’t shit no more,” Sav scoffed, getting up. “I’m the one that bought you some food.”
“After you stood in self-checkout while I was leaking fluid every damn where!”
“He did what?” Lake asked and Sav ran out of the room. “Told your ass not to leave the fuckin’ house anyway, you don’t listen.”
“Was River okay?” Avery asked, ignoring what he had to say. It already happened now.
“Yea, she told me to give you this.” Lake went to one of the bags he brought in with him and handed Avery their daughters favorite alien plush. She started tearing up. River didn’t like doing anything without it.
“She...she wanted me to have it?”
“Mhm.”
“She loves me.”
“Of course she loves you, A. What the fuck?”
“Don’t act like you don’t see how she treats me.”
“She just a Daddy’s girl, that’s all.” Lake held her hand giving it a gentle kiss. “This one gon’ be worst,” he said, and Avery started bawling making him laugh.
“You just wait until I get me a son. We gon’ leave all three of y’all in the dust!”
“Did I miss anything?” Oceana came barging in. “Oh no,” she rolled her eyes at Avery. “She still up in this heifer.”
“Should I get an epidural?”
“No,” Oceana answered with the quickness. Avery wasn’t even talking to her. “Babies are supposed to be born natural. I pushed Lake big ass out when I was seventeen. No medicine, no nothing. Get in beast mode and thug it out.”
“What do you think, Lake?”
“I want you to do whatever makes you comfortable.”
“Now tell me what you really think,” Avery said making him laugh.
“The shit can lower your blood pressure, pushing can be harder, increase you tearing, my baby can have muhfuckin’ respiratory problems--”
“Mhm,” Avery laughed. “There’s my husband,” she said, knowing Lake only wanted to make her feel better the first time. He always did his research on shit then talked about it with Ivy and Avery knew he did not want her to get an epidural but would support whatever she chose.
“Auntie is hereeeee,” Ivy sang gliding in smelling like lemons.
“You smell good,” Oceana said, sniffing her.
“That’s my new product I was in the process of creating.” Ivy went to Avery’s side. “How are you feeling sissy?” she asked rubbing her belly.
“Nervous.”
“We got this,” Ivy held her hand, kissing it. “Don’t you worry.”
After about three hours the contractions started to kick Avery’s ass. She was sweating profusely, and Ivy put her hair up in a bun.
“Breathe through it,” Ivy said, all in Avery’s face, breathing on her neck.
“Ivy, I love you so much, but please back up off of me.”
“Oh my bad,” Ivy laughed getting up from the bed. She had her feet propped up comfortable as ever.
Avery closed her eyes trying not think about the pain and uncomfortableness. She was worried about her daughter. Lake was on the phone constantly telling everybody not to come up there, but they were already on the way. They didn’t want a big fuss about the new baby. It was already a lot of pressure on Avery.
“Hello, how are we doing?” the doctor knocked before coming in. “Avery, I know we’ve talked about the—”
“Just a second,” Avery squeezed Lake’s hand letting a contraction pass. “Ohhh my God.”
“How was that contraction on a scale from one to ten? One being little to no pain, ten being extremely painful.”
“A seven.”
“That’s it?” Lake asked her. “A, don’t lie.”
“I’m not, it hurt but if they’re all going to be like that, I can take them.”
“How about we check your cervix, hm?”
“Nah, I checked, she only at four.”
Avery gave the doctor a tight smile. She could tolerate Lake doing it because his fingers were long, but her doctors were small, and that added unnecessary discomfort and pain. Plus, Ivy told her they weren’t necessary, and she could refuse them.
“Okay well…we’re monitoring your contractions; they are getting pretty close. The baby is vertex which we love to see, so I’ll be back to check on you in a little or if that little sweetie decides she is ready sooner.”
“Thank you,” Avery said, and the doctor nodded leaving. “Lake, help me turn on my side.”
Avery looked at the entire set up for her baby. Lake grabbed her hand seeing all the worry on her face.
“It’s gonna be fine. She gonna be fine.”
After about another hour, Avery’s contractions got worst and worst. The nurses came in getting prepared. Everything was happening so fast she started yelling for everybody to stop touching her.
“It’s okay,” Lake talked her through the panic.
“No, I’m scared,” Avery cried and even the nurses had the look of empathy. She wasn’t loud or anything, simply fright covered her face.
“I know but I’m right here and I got you. We almost there. Let’s get her out, okay?” Lake spoke so soft to her. Everyone looked at each other smiling witnessing such a tender display of affection from a father to the woman he put in this position.
“Okay but I can’t push like this. I don’t feel comfortable at all. It’s hurting me more.”
“Would you like to get on all fours?” the doctor suggested.
“I could try.”
“That’s her favorite,” Lake just had to add, and Avery hit him. Everybody was cracking up. He and Ivy helped her get into doggy position while a nurse took off her belly monitor.
“Oh wow, mom, we are fully effaced and dilated,” the doctor was surprised Avery wasn’t complaining of pain anymore. The position she was in definitely brought her much more relief. “When you’re ready, give me one big push.”
“Lake, help me!” Avery yelled, as if he could do anything for her. Everyone in the delivery room were trying their best not to laugh. Ivy pushed on her back a little thinking it was doing something and Lake looked at her like she was dumb.
Avery lowered her top half a bit, laying both hands flat on the bed and pushed as hard as she could. Loire slipped right out and fell into the doctor’s arms, everyone’s jaw dropped.
“Oh shit!” Ivy covered her mouth.
“Was that it? She came out? Lake was that her?” Avery looked at him and he stood stunned.
“Yea…yea, that was her,” he laughed. Lake cut their daughter’s connection to Avery.
“WHAT?”
“Mom, you did amazing!” the doctor exclaimed. The afterbirth fell out when Avery yelled what. Everybody was crying laughing. That was the easiest birth they’d ever seen.
Avery was helped turning back on her bottom. She watched Lake pick their daughter up while the nurses were in the middle of doing their job.
“Sir, we have to—”
“Wait a second,” Lake told them, he felt his chest tighten in disbelief that he created the beautiful little human in his arms. He put their crying baby girl on Avery’s chest, and she stopped instantly while sucking on her fist.
Avery had tears in her eyes because she felt accomplished. Everything that was a complaint deemed worthy that very second. Nine months of worry, an extra twenty pounds, kankles, heartburn, and bad acne were worth every single second.
“I don’t be thinkin’ I can love you more than I already do then you give me blessings like this.” Lake kissed her then their daughter. He watched her go through a tough time being pregnant and after the son they loss, he was grateful she even wanted to do this all over again.
“I’m happy to do it for you,” Avery said full of sincerity. She’d give her husband a million kids if that’s what he wanted. Anything good, Lake deserved it.
Once Avery was taken to recovery and Lake finally let the nurses do their job, everyone was getting to see the new addition. Avery was propped up in bed while Lake sat beside her with their daughter.
“Oh my goodness...” Chi smiled, standing over them. “Look at her...Lake spit that girl right in A coochie!”
“He did,” Sav laughed, getting a good look at his niece. “She look just like you bro.”
“What’s her name?” Wreck asked.
“Loire Ivy Porter,” Avery said, smiling at her sister who started tearing up. She didn’t know they would give Loire her name.
“Really?” Ivy bawled. “Y’all just doin’ too much today,” she said fanning herself. She kissed Avery then gave Lake one. “Can I hold her?”
“No,” Lake answered dead ass serious and they all were dying. He was starting with the shit already.
“Don’t feel bad,” Avery laughed. “I only got to hold her once.”
“Where did Oceana go?” Ivy asked, sitting on her bed. She tried to touch Loire’s mass amount of hair and Lake turned her away.
“To get me some food, I’m hungry.” Avery looked around realizing someone was missing. “Where is Dem?”
“He said he’ll come see y’all when you go home,” Sav said. “That bitch gettin’ on his nerves.”
Nicole was not Nicole to any of them. She was “That Bitch” most of the time. Avery turned her nose up at the mention of her. She couldn’t stand Nicole even more especially for what she was putting Dem through just to see his child.
Everyone stayed for a while until Lake kicked them all out. Avery fell asleep and he sat in the dimly lit room holding what felt like everything. A few hours old and he could see himself all in Loire’s face too. It was weird staring at yourself in another human, something you created. He wondered if that’s how his dad felt when he was born. He pulled his phone out to call River. Vant answered but it was quickly snatched out of his hand.
“DADDY!” River screamed.
“Mommy had your baby sister.”
“I see!” River yelled with her face all in the camera. “I see Daddy!”
Lake flipped the camera around putting it on Loire and River really started tearing up. The phone looked like it pressed against her face. He could hear Vant laughing in the back.
“Bro, she kissin’ the phone,” Vant laughed. “Get your lips off my shit, River!”
“NO! My baby!” all of a sudden you saw little feet moving a mile a minute while Vant chase her all through the house. River was cracking up thinking it was game.
“I’ma whoop your lil bad ass!” Vant threatened. “Wreck come get this muhfu—”
The phone disconnected and Lake laughed at the craziness that was his daughter. His family period. He never thought it would get this big. His heart would feel so full. His life be this complete. Nobody would have been able to tell him five years ago he’d have all of this.
“Lake!” Ivy peeked her head in and he nodded. “It’s all set up. Avery gonna be so happy when she sees it.”
“Thank you.”
“No problem,” Ivy said, closing the door.
Avery yawned, trying to hide the smile on her face. She knew a push present awaited her when she got home. Staring at her husband though, Lake looked so at peace. Besides their children, it was the best gift ever. His smile. Simply him.
“Is she everything you thought?”
Lake always said how blessed he was to have her and his children, but he did so much more than he knew for Avery. Waking up every day to a man who loved her unconditionally was the gift that kept on giving. That’s why Avery would put her body through childbirth. That’s why she’d go to the ends of the earth fighting for Lake’s peace. He deserved so much, and she was happy to be a part of contributing to his happiness.
“More…thank you, A.”
“You are so welcome.”

The Tassle Worth the Hassle: Congratulations Sav!👨🏾‍🎓
Tumblr media
***THIS HAS NOT BEEN THROUGH A TYPICAL EDITING PROCESS; ALL SHORTS ARE ROUGH DRAFTS***
Chi kept standing up screaming Sav’s name when it got quiet and he ducked his head like he didn’t know who the hell her crazy ass was. She was doing it to purposely embarrass him.
“Sit your ass down!” Ivy whispered. “You making us all look crazy!”
“I love you Dayvion! I’m so proud of you baby!” Chi said one last thing before taking her seat.
The ceremony was long and many people in the stadium started becoming drowsy. Thank goodness they didn’t bring any of their children because no way could a bunch of two and one-year olds sit through this.
After two hours of honoring specific students, and guest speakers, Sav was up. He was graduating Summa Cum Laude and Lake couldn’t have been prouder. He and some other students were sitting on the stage. They’d been chosen to represent the student body because they held the highest distinctions amongst their peers. Of the three who’d held the highest distinctions, they voted and chose him to give the speech.
When Sav stood up the whole class erupted. He was popular on campus not only as a ladies man but the weed man as well. They absolutely loved him. He was one of the few African Americans that attended the prestigious university, so it was easy to stand out.
“Why are they goin’ up for my husband like this?” Chi asked, being drowned out by the amount of cheering happening for Sav.
“Chill, y’all,” Sav said over the mic. “Dean Lee said she not for my shit—” he slipped up and everyone laughed. “I mean stuff today.”
The Dean who was also black shook her head at his use of language, but she knew how Dayvion Porter, which she addressed him as could be. They’d had several run ins over the course of his college career. The young man with tattoos galore, foul mouth and pants off his ass was indeed by measure the smartest one in the sea of thousands of students. She wanted this young black scholar to have his moment even in its rawness. This was black excellence being shown at a PWI and she was proud nonetheless.
“Ummm…everybody know I ain’t wanna do this.” Sav did not try to sound intelligent or put on for nobody. They wanted him to give this speech he was going to do it as him. Educated and all, he was true to himself. “I told Dean Lee I would be honest and y’all still chose me so here we go…”
“Fucking right bro!” A white guy shouted from the crowd.
“I know a lot of us struggled to make it to this stage. Not only the amount of work we had to put in to make it here but the pressure, financial restraints, family issues, our mental incapacities at times…a lot more goes into just getting a degree. Picking something you can actually apply and let’s be honest, make money from in this nut ass world. Shout out to y’all who got art degrees, it’s about to be hell,” Sav said honestly and the audience died of laughter. “I know some of y’all personally who went through some of this. To be honest, ion know what it look like. I couldn’t relate because I didn’t have those problems. Y’all probably thought I’m the made it out the hood specialty case. I had a big brother who not only kept pushing me to finish but made sure I didn’t have not one worry while doing it, so this was a breeze for me actually. I don’t need no college degree, but I did this for one person and one person only. My brother Lake. I wanna honor him with this because a lot of the great people, the ones behind the scenes who never get recognized are the real ones that make it happen. I was able to run a whole business, get married, have kids, live my life stress free. He gave me what I know a lot of people who look like me never get. A peace of mind. A care-free life, the tools I needed to be successful and I thank him for that every day.” Sav was looking right at Lake. “My brother the reason why I get to stand here right now…so this to the single moms out here doing it all on their own that got their kids to this day, to the dads working day and night to pay for tuitions, the grandparents, siblings, aunties and uncles who put their all into a kid to see them do better. If it wasn’t for y’all, I’m sure we wouldn’t be up in here falling asleep and waiting to hear our name called for a degree we couldn’t have gotten without y’all.”
Although the ceremony wasn’t done after Sav’s speech all the students felt every word he said and so did the families there to support them.
“Wait…” Dean Lee got up ready to stop them but it was too late all the graduates were up on their feet, throwing their caps in the air. It was like a big party started. It took twenty minutes to get everything settled then the degrees were finally handed out.
“Dayvion Porter,” they called Sav’s name to receive his degree and it went crazy again.
“That’s it!” the president of the school got up waving his hands then shouted in the mic. “Everyone please sit down!”                                                       ******* Lake waited patiently, watching Sav bump fists with a bunch of people because he wasn’t about to touch all them hands. He stood in his robe, medals and cords around his neck looking like a true scholar. He admired the hell out of his little brother. Not even for finishing but remaining authentic and true to himself during the process. Sav had his moments but everything he set out to accomplish, had been done. Lake couldn’t and wouldn’t ask anymore of him.
“You proud of me?” Sav asked, coming towards him with his arms out for hug.
“So proud man,” Lake smiled, embracing his baby brother. “I’m so fuckin’ proud.”
“Thank you, where the fuck everybody go?”
“Home, they didn’t want to stay around for the crowd and all the traffic.”
“Now you know that’s fucked up. Even my own wife? All this and them niggas dip on me? Take me home to my kids. Nobody better not say shit to me.”
“Chill, I wanted you to take a ride with me.”
“Ion even feel like it.” Sav’s feelings were hurt. His whole family was worried about beating traffic than his big day. It upset him more because he didn’t even care about it as much as they did.
They had to get all of his gifts professors, the school, students and others got for him. Sav indeed was their favorite. Someone even gave him basketball season tickets. Once they were in the car Lake did his best not to laugh. Sav was really upset.
“Why the fuck we here?”
Lake pulled into to the strip club they used to frequent and Sav knew something was up now. His brother wasn’t allowed to be a hundred feet of no strippers per his wife’s rules. Only if she was DJing did Avery let him enter the building.
“Because I thought it would cheer you up.”
“I told you I don’t feel like shit no more. Them niggas fucked my mood up. Especially, Chi, she really dipped on me. Her fuckin’ muscle head ass better hope ion divorce her.”
“Sav, relax, nigga,” Lake laughed lighting a blunt then passing it to him. “Hassan would be proud of you man.”
“Yea…” Sav put his head back blowing out smoke. “I be thinkin’ bout Daddy a lot.”
“Me too, all the time actually…I wish he would’ve made it, seen you today. It’s moments like this that make life worth living.” Lake stared out the window. After a few seconds of silence, he reached in the back seat and handed Sav an envelope.
“What’s this?”
“I ain’t know what to get a nigga that got it all for a graduation gift.”
“Aw man…” Sav looked at all the papers and got emotional.
Lake knew it bothered him that he didn’t know where he came from for sure. He couldn’t do a traditional testing since their father was deceased and had been cremated. But there was sibling DNA test and because Sav, Lake, Vant and Wreck didn’t share the same mother, it was easy to get proof. If he wasn’t Hassan’s he’d have not an ounce of relation to them.
“Sav even if that shit ain’t say what we already knew it wouldn’t have made you any less my brother. I hope you know that.”
“Thanks man,” Sav dapped Lake up and he pulled him in for a hug.
“Why the fuck y’all sittin’ in here cuddling and shit?” Wreck was about to get in the back, but Lake had car seats. “Nigga, Avery whip don’t have nothing in it. I swear you and Vant the wives.”
“Fuck you nigga,” Lake pushed him getting out the car. “Stop takin’ your anger out on everybody. I told you come talk to me, you wanna hide out and shit. Think Daly ain’t tell me the bullshit you been on.”
“I ain’t got nothing to say, and Daly a nut for bringin’ shit to you like I’m not a grown ass man! It’s fuck everything and that’s on my Daddy.” Wreck walked over and dapped Sav up. “I’m proud of you nigga.”
“Are you really bro?”
“Yea! Ion mean to be so hard on you. I apologize. Just…you know I’m dealin’ with my own shit right now, but I love you man.”
“I know, it’s cool, I love you too.” Sav felt bad for his brother. Wreck didn’t know which way he was going. It had spread about Gia breaking up with him. A simple, I don’t want to be with you anymore, was all the reason she gave him. That’s all he got from her. Wreck opened himself up to a woman for the last time.
“Let’s go in here, I can’t be out for long or A will come lookin’ for me.”
“Cause you a whipped ass—”
“Y’all keep saying that,” Lake laughed, cutting Wreck off. “But I’m happy as fuck. I have no resistance in letting love take over me anymore.”
“And you know what? I am genuinely jealous and that ain’t even me bro.”
“Wreck,” Lake stopped walking. “I’m for real, come talk to me. Tomorrow, nigga.”
“Everything already fucked up, bro. Gia will never be with me again.”
“How?” Sav asked.
“Ion wanna talk about it.”
“What the hell is taking so long?!” Chi pushed the door open.
“Fuck is you doing here?” Sav looked at Lake confused. “I did not ask to come here, Chi. Lake brought me. I was on the way home.” He started defending himself immediately.
“Get in here, Dayvion.” Chi pulled him along and it was dark as hell on the inside.
“SURPRISE!” the lights, loud ass music and cheering all happened at the same time. The whole club was decorated in his school colors with a big ass banner congratulating him. Everybody was holding cutouts of Sav’s head from his graduation photo.
“You did this for me?” Sav wanted to cry.
“Mhm…”
“I love you,” Sav kissed her all the way down on the couch.
“Stop Sav!” Chi laughed. “My dress is comin’ up! You doin’ all this in front of people!”
“Can I give my brother a hug now?” Dem asked and they let each other go. “I’m proud of you bul.”
“Thank you.” Sav hugged Dem longer than he did his own wife. Chi was over trying to get in between something that Sav needed to literally survive, to breathe and have good days. They were working through a lot of things and as long as he prioritized her and their children then he could love on Dem all he wanted.
“I’m so proud of you, boo boo,” Ivy said kissing her baby all over.
“Ard come on with all that shit,” Vant tore them apart. “We got a surprise for you later,” he whispered making Sav laugh.
“Shout out to my young nigga Sav! Congratulations bro!” DJ AP shouted in the mic sounding like a nigga making everybody crack the fuck up. She was barely six weeks post-partum and came out to party for her favorite person much to Lake’s dismay. “This one for you baby!” Avery pointed at him then played Nicki Minaj Moment for Life. Sav wouldn’t openly admit he was a fan.
“No, I'm not lucky, I'm blessed, yes, clap for the heavyweight champ, me! But I couldn't do it all alone, we!” Sav jumped on all his brothers. The moment was so nice. “Lake Porter raised me,” he remixed the lyrics.
Lake looked at Wreck who was visibly sad and hugged his brother and in front of everyone Wreck received it because he really needed it.
“It’s gon’ be okay, ard?”
“Yea…” Wreck didn’t want to ruin his little brother’s day so he decided to just put his own issues aside for the time being. Vant handed him a drink patting his back.
“It’s ard bro.”
“Put ya drinks up,” Dem held his glass in the air with is arm wrapped around Sav. “It's a celebration, every time we link up, we done did everything, they can think of, greatness, is what we on the brink of!”
“I WISH THAT I COULD HAVE THIS MOMENT FOR LIFE!” everyone sang

Hey y’all!
Sooooo...
I’ve been MIA for quite some time. Honestly, I had to regroup and get my mental heath in check. I suffer from a various of things and during last year I was at my worst, the series only brought it out more. I am doing slightly better.
I’m one of those people who shut down and shut off. It’s never personal but I have a little one whom I have to put first therefore I am very protective with how I handle my mental health as well as my personal life.
I don’t think I’ll be coming back to Facebook(only my “like” page is up) as it just isn’t the platform for me. However, there is where we currently are, OG tumblr. I feel comfortable here. When I can get a grip on the whole website shit, I’ll continue from there but for now, we gon’ get it poppin’ here.
I’m going to start with a series of “Pie Sessions.” Sit downs with the doctor who guided the two most infamous couples(Ivy, Vant, Lake and Avery) through their darkest times. Some other sessions with familiar characters you know and others you’ll want to know.
I just love to write and this will be fun for all of us. It doesn’t matter where it is, so be prepared for random shorts while I put together manuscripts for future published novels.
Lastly, I’ll always say this, thank y’all for doing what you did to spread this series so damn far. I barely promoted Front St. Porter because I was so nervous and this shit took off and went crazy from word of mouth. I’m so grateful for the genuine love and support y’all show me. To the people who have continued to check on me I appreciate y’all so much!❤️

Pie Session: Sav & Dem
Tumblr media
***THIS HAS NOT BEEN THROUGH A TYPICAL EDITING PROCESS; ALL SHORTS ARE ROUGH DRAFTS***
Dr. Pie rushed out of her office to see what all the shouting was about. She opened the door and Sav was yelling at his mother. Dem just sat there not saying anything while his little brother ripped Demetria a new one.
“Stupid ass bitch!”
“Sav, that is not the type of language we use towards one another,” Dr. Pie said sternly. “You know that.”
“Do you see what I have to put up with? This is the type of disrespect I have to deal with from these muthafuckas!” Demetria shouted. “Niggas I pushed out my damn pussy!”
“Please, everyone, come in,” Dr. Pie said, already prepared for a very rough session. They hadn’t even made it on the couch and the shit hit the fan.
“The same disrespect I endured with their father is the same ass shit I deal with from them and I don’t have to!” Demetria ranted sitting down between her two sons.
“Shut the fuck up! We not even around you like that...get up, Dem, you don’t gotta sit next to her,” Sav told him.
Dr. Pie watched Dem who she knew was older listen to his younger brother and sit on the other side of him away from his mother. That was very interesting. Also, the energy Sav displayed here was much different than what he brought to sessions with his wife.
“Why did you tell Dem to move, Sav?”
“Because she make him uncomfortable, and I don’t like when he feelin’ some type way and this muhfucka treat my brother like shit.”
“I do not.”
“Lie again, bro!”
“Sav, I’m going to need you to try and stay calm. This is about venting, and I understand there is a lot of anger and frustration here but that can be expressed without shouting.”
“Ard, my bad. I just don’t like her.”
“Have you always felt this way?”
“No,” Demetria answered for him.
“Was she talkin’ to you or was she talkin’ to me?” Sav glared at his mother. “I ain’t always feel that way but ion tolerate muhfuckas disrespectin’ my brother, that includes her ass. She ain’t never liked him so I don’t like her.”
“Demetria is that true?”
“No it is not,” she answered and Dem’s face fell with sadness. “I have done my best to love my children. Demetrius was not an easy child—”
“You never gave him a chance!”
“Sav, you seem angrier than Dem.”
“Because he not gon’ say shit. He never say shit to her. It’s fucked up cause my brother love her and she ain’t never loved him back.”
“That’s not true!”
“Tell him you love him then.”
“Demetrius knows how I feel.”
“SEE!”
“Okay, Sav…please,” Dr. Pie insisted. She never saw him this protective and angry. “Demetria your son seems to think otherwise, why do you think Sav feels this way?”
“Because he follows behind his brothers. He was the sweetest little boy until his father and them corrupted him.”
“Ain’t nobody corrupt shit, I just know a fake ass bitch when I see one. You ain’t never been a mother to him.”
“Was she a mother to you, Sav?”
“A mother to me, don’t mean shit! If she nothing to Dem, she nothing to me. I do not give a fuck about nothing over him!”
“Your children?”
“That’s different.”
“Chi?”
“That’s different too.”
“What are the differences of your love for Dem and the love for your wife and children?”
“His ass would probably choose Demetrius over them.”
“I know who I would never choose. If God came down right now and was like Sav, would you rather save Demetria from dying or have this bologna sandwich, which would you pick? I would choose the bologna sandwich!”
“Sav,” Dem finally spoke laughing. “Chill…”
“Naw, cause she gettin’ on my fuckin’ nerves.”
“Why did you suggest this session Sav?” Dr. Pie asked.
“You wanted to know why we like this, here it go right here,” Sav pointed to his mother. “Nobody be believin’ us when we say our moms really wasn’t shit. Everybody wanna know why I love my brother so much cause she ain’t love him at all! I had to love him double time, then when our Daddy died, she treated him even worst! My brother hated me because of this bitch!”
“One more time, Dayvion and I’m gon’ smack you in the mouth!”
“I dare you to touch me, bro, I will call my wife up here to trash you.”
“Sav, if this can’t be civilized then I’m going to have to end this session.”
“Ard, I’ma chill,” Sav sat back exhaling. He couldn’t stand his mother for nothing. It was crazy because Dem couldn’t even muster up that much hate and he was the one who’d been treated the worst by her.
“Sav, when you say your brother hated you because of her, what does that mean?”
“Here we go,” Demetria rolled her eyes, crossing her leg over the other.
“I’ve never not loved Dem, bro but I let him love and hate me plenty times.”
“Why?”
“Because I know it wasn’t easy for my brother to accept me, watchin’ her love me and treat him bad. Dem couldn’t stand me when we was little. Did all types of shit to me but I ain’t care because I was feelin’ like…maybe I deserved it.”
“Why do you feel that way, Sav?”
“My Daddy ain’t even want no more kids. Actually, I think Vant was supposed to be his last one, but he met her, and she was a hoe—”
“DAYVION!”
“What? You was, I’m not even tryna be smart or funny.”
“I was not a hoe!”
“Man, my Daddy ain’t fuck nothin’ but smuts, fuck outta here.”
“Sav, we can steer clear of the inappropriate names,” Dr. Pie told him.
“Ard, but I was bein’ honest. Anyway, Vant was supposed to be his last I think but she got pregnant with Dem. After Dem my Daddy did not want no more but I happened. If she didn’t have me then maybe more attention coulda been on him, ion know. Maybe he wouldn’t’ve been so bad.”
“Is that how you truly feel Sav?”
“Yea…she ain’t celebrate none of his birthdays but came when it was mine. If something happened with me, she was there but ain’t give a fuck about nothing Dem was doin’. Would come in the house and get me but ignore him. Like imagine how the fuck my brother was feelin’.”
“And you feel it’s your job to defend him?”
“Yup.”
“Demetria, may I ask what you have to say about all of this?”
“Listen, they grown now and gonna feel however they want. I tried my best as a mother and that’s all I can say. Ain’t nobody perfect and I didn’t understand nothing about a mental disease back then.”
“Do you understand it presently?”
“A little.”
“How is your relationship with Dem now?”
“We don’t really speak…the last time was when he was goin’ off about sleeping with Sav’s girlfriend—”
“WHAT?”
“Bro, it was not like that.” Dem wanted to smack the shit out of his mother for even bringing that up. He’d totally forgotten all about coming to her in one of his most vulnerable moments.
“You fucked Chi and told her?!”
“Not like that…”
“Then what the fuck is she talkin’ bout?”
“Everyone, please,” Dr. Pie eased to the edge of her seat. “Let’s remain calm.” Out of all of her sessions with the Porters, this was probably the most intense. It went from zero to hundred quickly.
“Dawg…” Sav laughed, rubbing his hands roughly across his face. He put his head down and was saying something that no one could make out.
“I did not fuck her when y’all was married, Sav.”
“So when?” Sav stood up. “WHEN DID YOU FUCK HER?” he pulled his phone out. “I hate you; I hate her—”
“Sav—”
“Naw, naw! I would never do you like this bro. Ion even give a fuck when it was! After all that shit, you go...you know what,” Sav walked out the office.
“Dem, I’m sorry, I didn’t…” Demetria tried to apologize but he ignored her going after his brother. If she knew the girlfriend he spoke of before was now Sav’s wife that would not have came out.
“Sav…”
“FUCK YOU!” Sav pointed at his brother. He was outside going off to whoever on the phone. “I’m tellin’ you my nigga, don’t come near me cause the way I’m feelin’ right now…”
“Y’all wasn’t married.”
“I DON’T GIVE A FUCK! All that shit, Dem,” Sav eyes were watering and Dem felt terrible. He never said anything because this is what he wanted to avoid. Hurting his little brother.
“Sav I didn’t want y’all to break up, I know how much you love Chi. It was before y’all was like serious serious.”
“I would never do that to you, Dem…dawg, I would never…” Sav bent over with his hands on his knees as if someone kicked him in the chest. “I hate you.”
“Sav…”
“You hate me too, don’t you? You still don’t like me because she don’t like you.”
“I love you, Sav, more than—”
“NO YOU DON’T! If you loved me, you wouldn’t do the shit you do to me, bro! If I woulda listened to you, Day wouldn’t be here! You don’t want me to have shit!” Sav’s words hurt Dem and he knew it but didn’t care. He never put nothing before his brother, sometimes that meant his children too and it was fucked up that Dem and Chi would do that to him. “I did so much fucked up shit for you Dem. Shit I didn’t have to subject myself to! I ain’t have to miss school, fly here and there because YOU NEEDED ME! I wanted to be there because I love you, but you don’t love me.”
“Sav, I love you.”
“NO THE FUCK YOU DON’T! I swear to God on my kids, don’t say shit to me my nigga,” Sav stood up wiping his tears.
“Please, Sav…” Dem reached out for his brother, but he backed away.
“Bro…” Sav looked to the sky then his best friend in the entire world. “Do not try to fuckin’ touch me!” he was so mad and wished he drove himself there. Lake was calling him back. “Is you on the way? Because—” he felt Dem’s hand on his shoulder and it was over. He dropped his phone almost as if he were waiting for this moment.
Dem felt the punch Sav delivered to his face all over his body. He knew Sav was really mad because in all of their years of fighting, his little brother never hit him that hard or if at all. Dem was usually the agressor when they fought. They were petty arguments, but this, he knew Sav’s anger couldn’t be waivered nor was he in any mood to forgive quickly like he always did. Dem was on his bad side now however even though he was wrong, he couldn’t let that shit slide, so he hit Sav back and a full brawl ensued.
Dr. Pie didn’t want to call the police, so she phoned Lake who’d informed her he was already on the way. She felt so bad watching them go at it but if she got in the middle, she was sure they’d pummel her. Demetria didn’t even try to break her sons apart from the fight she ultimately caused. Dr. Pie breathed a sigh of relief when Lake finally pulled up hopping out with Vant. They pulled the two brothers from one another, both a bloody mess.
“FUCK YOU NIGGA!” Sav shouted at Dem trying to get away from Lake. “On my fuckin’ kids you’on ever gotta worry bout sayin’ shit to me!”
“Sav…” Dem pleaded, he fought him back, but it was only in self-defense. He couldn’t let his little brother beat his ass however he was deeply sorry.
“I defend you against anybody—”
“I didn’t fuck—”
“My nigga, it ain’t about fuckin’ her! I asked you! I ain’t EVER do no shit behind your back! Ion care what it was in the beginning! WE TALKED ABOUT THAT SHIT! I TOLD YOU! YOU MY BROTHER! I expect this shit from Chi, from anybody else, Ion care what they do, but not you man…” Sav was beyond hurt and whatever the fight was about Lake could feel the energy had shifted completely between his two little brothers. Sav wasn’t looking at Dem with love anymore and he’d never seen that a day in his life, even when they were mad at each other. “You did that shit on purpose didn’t you?”
“What?”
“Out of all people to tell that shit to, you tell Demetria? Why? Because you want her to hurt me how she hurt you? I hated my own mom for YOU!”
“Sav...”
“What the fuck is y’all fightin’ for now?” Vant asked.
“Don’t even matter,” Sav said, spitting blood on the ground. “Take me home, bro.”

Blast from the Past: Dem & Erie
Tumblr media
***THIS HAS NOT BEEN THROUGH A TYPICAL EDITING PROCESS; ALL SHORTS ARE ROUGH DRAFTS***
Dem poured apple puffs on the girls’ trays. He had Poppy, Damaris, Savannah and Dayonna set up for snack time. Sav just talked his damn ear off about Chi while he did all the work. Fatherhood came easy for Dem and he embraced it with open arms. He would have everybody’s kids at one time and would still be chilling. They miraculously didn’t act up with him.
“Look at them.”
“I know, we got lil models bro,” Sav smiled watching the girls tear up their snacks.
“Definitely, I can tell Poppy gon’ be more than her looks. One of them I’m beautiful but don’t get it fucked up girls. She so pretty and quiet. Like me,” Dem smiled at his baby.
“Yea, we gotta make sure they all stuck up and don’t fuck with none of these lame ass niggas.”
“I swear if they get boyfriends I really might go on a killin’ spree. I do not want them to be at the other end of this shit. You start to think about shit when you got daughters. I feel a lil bad about how I did a few hoes.”
“Then I guess you should treat the hoes better for better karma. I married my hoe and made her rich so I’m good with the universe I think.”
“I don’t want nothing to come back on my babies.” Dem put his hands on his head in real fear that his ways with women would double back to his daughters in the spirit of whatever nigga decided to take interest in one of his girls. “Daddy was a savage, I’m sorry.”
Sav watched Savannah eat her snack with one hand. Her arm was still healing from the break. She somehow crawled towards the stairs and fell on Anne’s watch. The fall out from that was hell. This was the first time Chi let him take her out of the house since she’d been released from the hospital.
“Don’t sweat that shit, bro,” Dem said, reading his brother’s mind. “She gon’ be fine and got nothing but straight goons behind her. Y’all gotta just let shit be what it is, stop trying to make her normal when ain’t shit wrong with being different…I know that better than anybody.”
“So Damaris a goon?” Sav asked, looking at the sweetest of the four. She was humming and smiling while acting like her snacks were talking to one another.
“Hell yea, watch this…Damaris,” Dem called her and she looked up beaming at her daddy. “Somebody,” he tapped his hand. “Hit Poppy.”
“Poppy?” her smiled disappeared and a mean scowl replaced it. Her name was about the only thing she’d say so clearly. “POPPY!” Damaris screamed, trying to get up. She scared the hell out of her sister and cousins. Dem was hollering and Sav watched shocked. He never saw his niece not be happy before.
“It’s okay baby,” Dem rubbed her back, sitting her down in the chair correctly. “Daddy got them already.”
“Poppy…” Damaris reached for her sister and Poppy held her hand. She calmed down going right back to smiling.
“My baby will fuck some lil bitch up on behalf of her sisters or cousins. Don’t let that sweet shit fool you nigga, them my kids.”
“Fuck you sayin’? I bet she can’t beat Day.”
“How much you wanna bet?”
“Y’ALL NOT ABOUT TO MAKE THEM KIDS FIGHT! DON’T MAKE ME FUCK YOU UP DEM!” Haze shouted from nowhere.
“She be everywhere with her nosey ass.”
“I think you fallin’ in love nigga.”
“Picture that,” Dem scoffed. “Ion even speak that language.”
“Don’t you love me?” Sav asked being dead serious.
“Absolutely,” Dem answered genuinely.
“Then why you can’t love a bitch?”
“Bitch love and brother love different.”
“If you do get a girlfriend, you better love me more than her, nigga.”
“No doubt,” Dem said, dapping his brother up. The crazy part was they were not joking at all.
After they did Daddy Daughter time, Sav and Dem met up with Roddy. They made a surprise visit at Daly’s house and now Dem knew exactly why his brother was talking all that girlfriend love shit. It also gave him a clue as to who the unknown number calling his phone numerous times had been.
“It’s not even this serious.” Dem stood outside in the hallway with a smirk on his face. Roddy and Sav walked in the house cracking up.
“Damn, I can’t even say hi to him?” Erie laughed trying to stop and see Dem, but Daly was pushing her forward while Lake stood in front of him. Anytime they ended up in the same space somehow, his brother and Daly acted like the secret service. He didn’t even know she was back in town.
When Dem said he fucked with a girl the long way then she turned crazy, he meant one of Daly’s little sisters. They stopped seeing each other five years ago not long before Dem went into treatment for his suicide attempt. Last he saw her, she still had braces and a was teeny tiny thing. From the looks of the woman being shoved to the elevator, Erie was anything but that now.
“Bye Erie!” Daly pushed his little sister forward and she was cracking up.
“Come on big bro—”
“Bye!” Daly was not having this with them. His sister and Dem had their time long ago, but they were forbidden fruit to each other now. He didn’t need a repeat of the same shit. If they wanted to be together, they should’ve did it right the first time he gave them permission.
“You lookin’ good as fuck Erie!” Dem yelled to make Daly mad.
“Thank you! Call me baby!”
“See, now…” Daly was about to fuck Dem up.
“Chill,” Lake laughed pushing his friend back. “They know better, calm down, go take her to the car man.” He pulled Dem inside and closed the door. “Why you fuckin’ with him like that?”
“I’m only playin’. Ion understand why y’all gotta do all that in the first place. I won’t fuck with her again. When I’m done with somebody, I be done.”
“Right…” Lake said, not believing his ass. Dem double backed with Erie plenty of times.
“When you ever know me to lie? Too many years passed. Ion know her anymore.”
Dem had a first love before that he never talked about and unfortunately it was with a girl he could never have again. Daly’s issue wasn’t even about the way they got together, Dem asked for permission in his own way, it was how their relationship operated that became a problem. They were no good for each other and did not belong together. Daly witnessed his sister act a damn fool over Dem.
“I’ma fuck you up, Dem,” Daly slammed the door. “Start up with my sister again and see what happen!”
“Fuck I do? I like how y’all act like it was all me and shit.”
“Oh trust me, Erie know wassup. Both y’all on my radar now.”
Dem tossed his head back in annoyance, not wanting to deal with this nigga. Only if you really knew Daly would you figure out just how much he either could be the coolest nigga or the monstrous monster. Dem looked at him the same as Lake and he wouldn’t disrespect his oldest brother and the same regard was extended to Daly.
“Man, I am not fuckin’ with your crazy ass sister no more. You should’ve told me her ass was back cause I would not have come the hell over here. She a problem I do not need.”
“Erie lucky I’m married now,” Sav said. “I would’ve fought you over her, Daly.”
“Shut the fuck up nigga.”
Dem tuned them out as he thought back on the only girl he gave more chances than one. Erie was his test on relationships, and it set the tone on how he viewed things after that.
“Get out, Erie, I’m not playin’. Something the fuck wrong witchu. Out of respect for your brother, I’m trying not to put my hands on you.”
“Fuck you, nigga! What bitch was you fuckin’?”
“Oh my God! I ain’t have no bitch up in here. You fuckin’ crazy!”
Lake thought Dem was constantly coming back home because he needed to be close, which wasn’t entirely false, but Erie basically moved in his house, without his permission and Dem needed space from her ass. He ultimately dealt with her though because in all his crazy, she dealt with him too. Erie got every piece of him like his brothers did and she never ran but the psycho shit she came along with was too much.
“No YOU crazy if you think I’ma about to let you play with me nigga! This what you wanna do bitch!? I gave you everything!”
“And I haven’t done shit,” Dem pleaded with her. He never gave a fuck about a girl’s feelings until it came to her. She matched his entire energy, his everything. There was no girl that could keep up with him like her. “I swear, baby, you been only.”
Dem was Erie’s first, so she took him extremely personal. Had he known this was how she’d end up acting, he would’ve never did it or at least waited until she fucked a little.
“You fuckin’ lying, tell me now or swear to God,” she sobbed. “I’m really gonna kill you in this muthafucka!”
“I can’t take this shit, dawg. You too much! I got enough unstable ass shit of my own to deal with and you adding to my stress! Look what the fuck you did to my house!”
Erie completely destroyed everything from his bedroom to the kitchen. When she found some panties under his bed, it was over. He told her Sav was there with a girl, but Erie was no fool. Dem didn’t let random hoes know where he rested his head.
“I’m adding to your stress? You know what? Fuck you! You gonna miss me when I’m gone!” Erie started looking around for her stuff in all the clutter. “Don’t call me no more either!”
“I won’t,” Dem replied, and he should’ve just kept his mouth shut. Erie threw her bag down and started fucking him up. She was lucky that Daly was her brother because he wanted to beat her ass so bad. “Ah, bitch, you pullin’ my fuckin’ hair!”
“Watch I rip this shit out!” Erie was on his back trying to dislocate Dem’s head from his shoulders. “You wanna cheat on me!”
“Erie, get the fuck off me!” Dem didn’t mean to slam her the way he did. He was about to apologize but she got right back up like it never happened and started throwing anything she could get her hands on. She chased him through the whole damn house until he locked himself in the bathroom.
“Aye my nigga! Come get your fuckin’ sister! I’m trying not to kill her ass!” he had no other choice but to call Daly because he was ready to start fighting Erie back. She was banging on the door and hitting it with stuff for a good twenty minutes before he heard Daly and Lake.
“Let’s go, Erieon,” Daly called his sister by her whole name. “Right now, before I whoop your lil ass! Up in here actin’ like you ain’t got no damn sense!”
“Dem,” Lake knocked on the door. He couldn’t believe a girl had his brother locked in the bathroom. They were only eighteen and nineteen, so he wasn’t expecting any more maturity from them than this, but Dem was never the hide from a girl type. “Come out nigga.”
“Naw, grab her ass and get the fuck out.”
“You can’t even face me because you know you a lying ass pussy!” Erie continued on cursing him out not caring about her brother or Lake. “I promise this the last time you will ever see me Dem! I fuckin’ hate you!”
“I hate you too!”
“Oh you do?! Come out and say that shit to my face nigga!”
“Erie cut it the fuck out and come on! Do it look like I got time for this shit?! I’m sick of y’all! And it’s mostly your crazy ass!”
Daly was tired of coming to break up their domestic fights. This was every single time and he couldn’t even say it was Dem. His sister fell in love way too deep. He witnessed her in action with his own eyes. Dem could breathe wrong and Erie was on his ass. Daly raised them like niggas, so although they looked harmless, they were fighters, shooters and didn’t let nothing slide.
“But he’s cheating on me! Nobody care about my feelings!”
“No the fuck I’m not!” Dem defended himself on the other side of the wall. “Just get her the fuck out my crib!”
“Well you should’ve been because I was cheating on you this whole time! Remember Julian? I told you nothing happened? I lied!”
Silence. Daly looked at his sister and even he knew she crossed the line. That statement never went over well with no man.
“Why the fuck would you say that? You think all this cute?” Daly scolded her. “Wait till we get home, I’ma fuck you up.”
The bathroom door slammed open and Dem had the look of death.
“You was fuckin’ that nigga?”
“Oh now you care?”
“I don’t,” Dem lied. He pulled a gun from nowhere ready to kill her ass. “But maybe God will.”
“You think you the only one that can pick up a gun?” Erie’s strong ass flipped Dem’s mattress over revealing an arsenal of weapons. She picked one up, cocked it, ready for whatever. Daly and Lake looked at one another officially through with them.
“Give me this shit!” Daly struggled to disarm his baby sister.
Lake was really tussling with Dem to take the gun. He obviously thought Erie’s attempt at making him mad was real because he was ready to kill her ass.
“Dem, chill!”
“Bitch, you was fuckin’ somebody else?!”
“Yes the fuck I was and he was ten times better than you!” Erie continued her lies. “He wasn’t afraid of my love!”
Dem said fuck it, dropping the gun and the moment Lake let him go, he hopped, skipped and jumped towards Erie.
“Dem!” Sav shouted, snapping him out of his jog down memory lane. “Nigga, is you good?”
“Yea, I zoned out for a minute.”
“Thinkin’ about Erie nutty ass,” Roddy laughed.
“I really wasn’t, Daly you ain’t got shit to worry bout cause you know your sister is crazy as fuck and I don’t need no more of that in my life right now.”
“Mhm…we’ll see nigga.” Daly was not convinced.

Baby Momma Drama
Tumblr media
***THIS HAS NOT BEEN THROUGH A TYPICAL EDITING PROCESS; ALL SHORTS ARE ROUGH DRAFTS***
“So I can’t take her to see my family?” Dem asked Nicole and she ignored him. He was tired of going back and forth with her about his child. He understood how she felt but she was just trying to control him and the way he parented his daughter.
There wasn’t shit he could do about what happened but apologize and try to be a good father. Nicole was not making that easy for him in the slightest. Then would turn around and use his absence against him when she didn’t get her way. Dem was genuinely remorseful about his actions and she knew that. He always took her feelings into consideration and practiced patience, hoping that she could really forgive him one day. However, anything he wanted to do with Melody she had to be there. Nicole didn’t want her around his family without her either, but they didn’t want Nicole in their presence at all. They only got to see his daughter twice in a whole year.
“Yo, can you fuckin’ hear?”
“Cleary, and just like before I said no. If they want to see her, they can come here, or I’ll gladly go to them.”
“And I told your illiterate ass they don’t fuck witchu. Unless you want A to beat you the fuck up.”
“Please! I’ll drag that bitch if she ever put her fuckin’ hands on me.” Nicole knew Avery couldn’t stand her and the feeling was mutual.
“Bro…” Dem counted to three doing his best not to get mad. This was where he’d been tested the most lately. “So you expect her to just not know her whole other side? She don’t even know her own sisters.”
“Nigga, I don’t care nor is that my problem! My baby is not going anywhere without me. The judge has approved this. I don’t trust you and in the eyes of the law you are not a fit parent. You don’t even have control over any of your own finances! I should actually be arguing with Lake about visitation, not you!” Nicole spat, flippantly. She got all of this information when they went to court. Lake being his guardian only worsened his case and made Nicole’s stronger.
“Really? But when you want dick, I’m trustworthy. When you wanna go out and be a hoe with your dumbass friends, I watch her and muthafuckin KJ too, you can trust me then though?”
Nicole didn’t have a rebuttal to that because not only wasn’t Dem lying but it made her valid points invalid. Dem was a great father and she had him on the tightest leash using the past as a way to control him. She was granted full custody of their daughter and that gave her even more leverage.
“Exactly, now you the fuck quiet with your stupid ass. Come get her ready, I’m taking her.”
“No the fuck you not!” Nicole pushed him back from going further upstairs and he held the banister as to not fall. It didn’t take much after that to set Dem off. He smacked the shit out of Nicole, and she bounced off the wall rolling down the steps.
Stuff like this really felt below Dem. Domestic issues with any woman wasn’t what he had time for or wanted to be involved in. He never reacted on anyone that didn’t do something to him first. It was simple math to Dem, don’t put your hands on him, if you weren’t ready to get knocked the fuck out, or sometimes worse. He handled his problems with finality, but he couldn’t just erase the mother of his child, so this was the bullshit he had to deal with all the time.
All of the commotion could be heard outside. Wreck and Roddy were standing outside smoking. They walked in and shook their heads watching Nicole try to beat Dem up. He wasn’t even really doing anything except flinging her ass around, and she was on the floor screaming all dramatic. This wasn’t the first time they witnessed her do stuff like this but in front of a judge she was miss innocent and perfect. The crazier thing was, nobody ever tried to invalidate her feelings, they just wanted a relationship with Melody, however she wouldn’t allow that unless there was one with her too.
“Chill the fuck out!” Wreck pulled her up from the floor and off of Dem’s leg.
“See! He put his fuckin hands on me, and I’m supposed to let him take my daughter? Get the fuck out my house!”
“Bitch fuck you! You wouldn’t be up in this bitch if it wasn’t for me! Lake was ready to send your ass back to the projects! I don’t have these problems with none of my other baby mommas! You the only one make shit harder than it gotta be!”
“Maybe because you didn’t fuckin’ rape them!”
That word took Dem out of the ring every single time and Nicole knew it. He backed down from her whenever she said it. Dem hated to think of himself like that and it only added to all the other names associated with him. Rapist. It didn’t sit right on his heart and the fact that he couldn’t even remember made it easier to swallow sometimes, but Nicole did not let him forget.
“You a fuckin’ nut, bro,” Roddy said, looking at her with disgust.
Dem said fuck it and walked out of the house. This shit was starting to take a toll on him. He didn’t even get to see Melody and it hurt. He loved seeing her because she didn’t look anything like him, but his father, she had inherited Hassan’s every feature.
While Poppy and Damaris were both on the fairer skin side and looked like him, Melody was the opposite. She actually resembled Loire. Nobody could believe it when they first saw her. Sav always joked that she could pass for Lake’s baby and that set Avery off. She didn’t think that was funny at all. Dem did get a paternity test though and she was indeed his. He could spend hours looking at her beautiful melanin-rich face.
“You ard?” Wreck asked him, getting in the driver’s seat. Roddy hopped in the back and he pulled off.
“I’m tired of her constantly throwing that shit in my face…I don’t even remember.”
“She a fuckin’ nut ass bitch, but I ain’t hear her say that when she was screaming from the dick the other night,” Roddy said.
“You be fuckin’ her?” Wreck asked, as he stopped at a red light and looked over at his brother.
“Sometimes,” Dem shrugged. “When she asks.”
“Nah, turn her ass down next time,” Wreck advised him. “She gon’ keep getting her way cause she think you owe her something. What type of bitch wanna get fucked by a nigga they accusin’ of some shit like that? Fuck that, next time she want some dick, curve her ass. I bet she start actin’ right.”
“Yup, hoes be tryna act like they don’t want sex as much as niggas. They be worse than us. Hold the dick and watch she be like,” Roddy cleared his throat. “I’m sorry for actin’ up Daddy, you can take the baby and this pussy whenever you want.”
“Roddy shut the fuck up,” Wreck laughed. “You on it with us tonight?” he asked Dem.
“Fuck no, you got super nigga back there,” Dem said referring to Roddy who simply shook his head. They had a little beef between them. “I got Damaris this weekend anyway and Haze be getting tired fast now so she can’t handle both of them for too long. I was hoping to get Melody so they can all be together. It’s fucked up they don’t even know their own sister.”
“Lake need to take that bitch back to court and get some custody rights. How the fuck she get to keep a baby away from her damn family?”
“She like Dem that’s why,” Roddy chuckled, lighting up a blunt. “Bitch do not care how her baby got here. She want this nigga and his daughter how she gonna get him.”
“Man, she the last bitch I’ll be with. I’ll marry Mu before I settle for her ass.”
They all started laughing because they knew how much Mumu got on his nerves too. The only reasonable one he had was Haze. She nor Mumu came close to the headache that Nicole was though.
“Talk to Lake, bro,” Wreck advised him. “Tell him you ready to be on your own and handle shit. You can’t keep going through this.”
Dem didn’t respond because he wanted to be independent and not have his brother in charge of his every move, but he wasn’t sure if he was actually ready.                                                             ******* “Call Avery and see what she says,” Haze told Dem while standing at the stove cooking. He told her the watered-down version of what happened with Nicole earlier that day. “You already know if she says no then Lake will too. They don’t do shit without each other, but you need to see your child.”
Haze was well aware of the whole situation between Dem and Nicole. She didn’t really have an opinion because it seemed like a he say she say situation. However, if she thought Dem was capable of doing something so vile, she nor Poppy would be around him but Haze didn’t believe he could, even off his meds like Nicole accused. She found out about Dem’s condition and used it as yet another target on his back. Haze only witnessed Dem in action one time and although he was a bit erratic, he didn’t do anything to hurt her or Poppy. She just called Sav and he dealt with him.
“Cause my brother a whipped ass nigga now.”
“No, that’s marriage, Dem. A husband and wife supposed to have each other back.”
“Whatever, A will kill that bitch if they in the same space and it’s not even about Ky. Nicole disrespectful as fuck.”
“Call her,” Haze insisted. Dem blew his breath and started tapping on his phone.
“Hey baby boo!” Avery answered happy for him as always.
“Wassup?”
“Nothing, feeding your mean ass brother and his mean ass kids.”
“Stop actin’ like you don’t love them.”
“I don’t,” Avery whispered making Haze and Dem crack up. “So what you need? You don’t be calling me for no reason.”
“Nut ass Nicole said I can only get Melody if she’s there.”
“Well her bitch ass isn’t welcome in my house!” Avery snapped like Dem knew she would. “Did you forget what the fuck she said to me? What she said about Melody?! But the judge gives her custody?! I tried Dem, I really did try to be cordial with that bitch, but I don’t play about you and I most certainly don’t play about my husband, you know that.”
“A, I miss my daughter. I want y’all to see her. She gettin’ so big and she don’t even know y’all, her sisters, nothing.”
“What you want me to do, Dem?”
“I want y’all to come over her crib this weekend—”
“Dem, I love you, but I am not stepping foot in that bitch house. She better be lucky her ass ain’t on the street! Why can’t we meet her somewhere? What about coming over there—”
“Fuck no!” Haze yelled cutting Avery off before she could finish. “That bitch ain’t coming up in here, A! She be stressing him out to the point it irritate me, and I don’t have time for her smart-ass mouth because pregnant and all I will lay hands on her lying hoe ass!”
Dem wasn’t even a part of the conversation after that. He sat the phone down while Avery and Haze called Nicole everything but a child of God. Dem went to watch TV with his daughters.
“Mommy…” Poppy said, covering her ears hearing Haze talk loudly all the way in her playroom.
“Yea, it’s okay boo boo.” Dem sat on the big pink bean bag chair with Poppy and Damaris on both sides of him and watched DC Superhero Girls.
The way he handled most things that would set him off now, is to just sit with his daughters. They calmed the hell out of him. No medicine or treatment ever brought him that much peace. Nicole was trying to come between that, and he swore she was doing it on purpose, but Dem refused to backtrack and throw away all of his progress, but something had to give.

I don’t have a title for this one. It’s simply a mess...
Tumblr media
***THIS HAS NOT BEEN THROUGH A TYPICAL EDITING PROCESS; ALL SHORTS ARE ROUGH DRAFTS***
Sav and Dem were on their way to pick Savannah up from Anne. Chi was still in bed sleep when he left. They partied until four in the morning and didn’t stop once they got home. It was almost three in the afternoon now. Sav was the happiest he’d ever been, and Chi seemed like it too. At the beginning of their marriage, he didn’t think they would make it. There was a lot of arguing and past mistakes being thrown towards each other. They went to therapy for a short while and it helped a lot. Mostly Chi, because Sav had done things to her that he knew fucked her up emotionally and some mentally. Her forgiveness was vital for their relationship to succeed. Dr. Pie continually told Sav he needed to stop dismissing his wife’s feelings and own up to all of his mistakes.
Over time her advice proved true. Sav realized when he held himself accountable then apologized, Chi would almost immediately become more submissive. That was a big problem in their relationship too. She didn’t want to let him lead the household and responded to him aggressively all the time. However, after talking to Lake, his brother gave him so great insight as well. Do you ever see Avery talking to me like she a nigga? She’s submissive because I give her the space to be a woman, without making her feel less than in her moments. Chi get extra masculine when you not doing what she need or talkin’ down to her. They nigga mentality kick in and it’s versus you instead of y’all verse the problem. Stop trying to put her beneath you. That ain’t no bitch you fuckin’, it’s your wife.
Lake and Avery set the tone for what Sav thought husband and wife should be because they were just so in sync with one another. They did their own thing, in their own little world. In the first half of marriage, every time him and Chi did something the other didn’t like, they compared. Sav wanted what his big brother had, and Chi wanted what she saw Avery fall in love with over and over again. Avery and Lake told them both to find their own couple style and stop jacking their shit.
“Remind me to go get Poppy some more of them surprise egg jawns.”
“Them things ain’t nothing but expensive easter eggs filled with dollar store shit, bro.”
“I know but my princess love them. She be so surprised when she opening them, happy about all the bullshit inside.”
“How Melody?”
“She ard,” Dem shrugged. “Nicole back on her bullshit…but I’m movin’ on it different this time. Something in my spirit just not sittin’ right no more.”
“For real?”
“Mhm, I need to see what I’m missin’. I can’t be everywhere no more. Got all these fuckin’ kids.”
“I ain’t wanna say nothing but you is wylin bro,” Sav laughed. “You a good dad though, Dem. Can’t nobody take that from you, Ion care what your past look like.”
“Seem like everybody else do,” Dem mumbled but Sav heard him clearly.
“Who? Fuck them! Ain’t nobody perfect out this bitch. I still don’t believe what that hoe sayin’. A muhfucka gon’ have to come with video evidence on you to convince me and even then, I be like ehhh, that ain’t my brother.”
“Sound like Lake when he clearly seen Wreck on tape and told the cops, nah, that ain’t my brother. I don’t know who that crazy nigga is.” Dem couldn’t even get it all out fully before cracking up right along with Sav.
“That’s how you stand with your family. Fuck what anybody else say and I’ma keep it a bean with you, even if it was what it was…” Sav shrugged. Nobody should’ve expected anything else when it came to Dem.
For the past year, Sav and Dem did their best to focus on what they had going on individually instead of turning back to the world they liked to live in with just the two of them. It had to change for the sake of Dem’s mental health and who Sav needed to be as his own man. They leaned on each other way too much. Lake was proud of them for doing their best at putting other things than each other first. Sav however still didn’t give anyone else room to say shit on Dem and he didn’t want to hear anything either. He and Chi had it out one good time, he even let her express some foul shit she felt about his brother then they put Dem as an issue in their relationship to rest.
“Why Wreck car here?” Dem pointed to their brother parked in the driveway with no shame.
“This nigga been shackin’ up with Anne, bro. I ain’t say shit cause he tryna be quiet about it. Ion know what this nigga got goin’ on with her ass.”
“Bro, he really into it with this old ass lady?” Dem laughed, getting out the car.
“He was here the last few times I came, like real lovey dovey.”
“Lovey dovey?” Dem scrunched his face up. “Nah, not my brother.”
“See for yourself.” Sav used his key unlock the door and Savannah was in her walker moving a mile a minute. That gave him hope she’d eventually walk on her own. “Look at my Banana! Go momma, go!”
Savannah smiled big crashing into them, reversing into the dining room, going around the table and then back to her daddy and uncle at high speed.
“I keep tellin’ you, y’all be worried for nothing,” Dem said, picking his niece up, kissing her chubby cheeks making her blush. “Just gotta be patient, she perfect, bro.”
“Mm…it’s just you,” Anne said, coming out of the kitchen with a robe on looking freshly fucked. “Hey Dem baby, how are you?”
“I’m good, wassup?”
“Nothing, making your crazy brother some lunch,” Anne responded sounding like a proud girlfriend. Sav turned to Dem with the I told you so face.
“She thick as fuck though,” Dem took another glance when she walked back to the kitchen. “For a hoe her age, you gotta give her points for the body alone. Damn!”
Sav went up the steps flagging Dem to follow him. They held in their laughter, creeping towards Anne’s bedroom. Savannah was right along with them not knowing what the heck going on. Sav opened the door to find Wreck sleep, stretched out like he lived there. He had an empty breakfast tray next to him and everything.
“Bro…” Dem whispered. “This nigga not serious. Here, hold Banny.” He gave his niece to Sav then hopped on top of their brother. Sav was hyperventilating.
“What the fuck!” Wreck started whooping his ass. He didn’t know what was going on, his first reflex was to fight. Dem was windmilling to get free. His brother was strong as shit.
“So you wasn’t you gon’ help me?” Dem finally got away, staring at Sav’s dumbass holding onto the wall with Savannah on his side silently dying.
“I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe yo,” Sav had tears in his eyes from laughing so hard. “Bro, why the fuck you jump on him? He fucked you up.”
“Y’all niggas play too much!” Wreck said, getting up in the nude. “What the fuck if I woulda shot your stupid ass?!”
“Aye nigga!” “Sav covered Savannah eyes. “You don’t see my baby?”
“Oh shit, my fault Banny.” Wreck put the cover over him. “Go take her to her room.”
“Look at you sounding like her uncle step grandpop,” Sav said loud as hell and Dem hollered. “Wreck what the fuck is you doin’ my nigga? Why are you up in here like you pay the bills?”
“I’m mindin’ my fuckin’ business that’s what I’m doin’.”
“He’s pays for more than my bills. Why are y’all in my bedroom?” Anne appeared at the door with her arms crossed.
“Because our brother in here. What you doin’ to him? Ain’t no way that pussy…Daddy sorry baby,” Sav kissed his Banana’s forehead. “It ain’t still juicy like it was in seventies to have him like this. She puttin’ period blood in your food, bro.”
“Sav, what?” Dem ain’t never heard nothing like that before.
“Yea, I know all the bitch tricks. You had spaghetti in the last few months Wreck? That’s usually how they disguise it.”
“Nigga you trippin’,” Wreck laughed. “For real, get the fuck out.”
“So this your house now too? You gon’ let him put me and your granddaughter out Anne?” Sav would not stop and Dem was cracking up.
“Why don’t you just tell them?” Anne directed towards Wreck. “It’s not like it can be hidden forever.”
“Tell us what?” Dem asked, looking between his brother and Anne.
“I’m pregnant.”
“See…” Sav pointed at Dem then Wreck. “See! What the fuck I say?! I been tellin’ you!”
“Nigga, you ain’t tellin’ me shit! Both y’all get the fuck out!”
“Come on, Sav,” Dem pulled him out the room. He could tell their brother wasn’t happy about that news at all and Sav would’ve kept on going.
They both sat downstairs dumbfounded. Wreck didn’t move like this or hadn’t in a very long time, so it was surprising.
“You think Lake know?” Dem turned to Sav.
“I got a better question, why would Wreck get her old ass pregnant?”
“The fuck do we really care for though? I can’t say shit in the matter, I’m fucked up too. If he like it, I love it.”
Anne and Wreck’s arguing could be heard clear as day. She was yelling at him about always trying to hide their relationship while Wreck kept saying it wasn’t one.
“But you always the fuck up in my house when it’s convenient for you!”
“I ain’t gotta be in this shit! Who be callin’ who?”
“You are not going to stress this baby out of me! I know that’s what you want!”
“That’s some fucked up some shit to say!”
“Banana,” Sav turned his daughter around facing him. “They always be arguing like this when you here?” he asked her, and Savannah just stared at her dad.
“Now y’all got this bitch started,” Wreck said coming down the steps. “You think I wanna hear this shit?”
“Well you gonna hear it!” Anne shouted from upstairs. “Call me a bitch again!”
“Bitch!” Wreck tried his luck. Dem and Sav were inconsolable. “See, I’m that type of nigga, you sure you wanna have a baby with me?”
“I don’t need you for shit! Thank you for my miracle baby, you can go! If you think I’ma put up with the bullshit at my big age you are sadly mistaken!”
“Yea, ard, say that now then be sending me thousands of texts and crying on my voicemail like you always do.”
They continued going back and forth which told Dem and Sav one thing. No man stayed, continuing to argue with a woman they were only fucking. This obviously wasn’t the first time either.
“But you come running, don’t you? Please stop acting like this is one way!”
“Anne, get the fuck out my face with this stupid shit.”
“Come upstairs, Wreck, you showing off in front of your lil brothers like this shit cute! I’m not no young bitch you gon’ do anything with!”
“What? Ain’t nobody gotta put on for them but you! You gon’ use this muhfuckin baby to make you think you more than what you are to me.”
“What am I then?”
“My lil mature ass freak.”
“Fuck you, Wreck! Disrespecting me like this while my grandbaby is here!” Anne’s voice cracked a little. “Get the fuck out my house!”
Sav and Dem waited for what they knew was coming. Wreck looked at them then blew his breath going back upstairs.
“I knew it, I knew it.” Sav shook his head getting up. “Let’s go nigga.”
By the time Sav strapped Savannah in the car and prepared to leave, Wreck was coming out the house followed by Anne who stopped at the door. She said something to him, and he had the ard, shut the fuck up now look. When they watched him kiss her, they knew their brother was about to have a baby with his niece’s grandmother.
