Autogynophillic Trans women’s only real claim to vulnerability is via the word “woman”. They are claiming our vulnerability as their own. And that is how they perform the reversal that males should have more access to the female, than females do. Our culture, our unique oppression, our single-sex spaces, our body parts, and most egregious of all, our political movement.
If they lose claim to it, the whole argument falls away. That’s why they fight to the death against “terfs”, not against hypermasculine and homophobic men (the real cohort doing them harm).
Anyways. My point is that. Without the backs of women to stand on trans women would be nothing. They can only claim to be “vulnerable” because “women” are.

“As a biologist, the terms biological woman and man don’t make any sense to me” okay then you’re an idiot and a terrible biologist. I swear to god, morons like you only become biologists just so you can hold it over others, when in reality, if biology deniers like you can become biologists, then being one really doesn’t mean much anyway. But this probably just gave an autogynophile like you a boner to read, anyway.
Oh fun! Haven't gotten one of these in a while. Disregarding the fact that you somehow think the qualification for being a biologist entirely hinges on defining womanhood, I do need to ask some clarification. I know I'm feeding the trolls here, but here we go: does your definition of "biological woman" mean:
Sociological woman? Eh, context dependent, I'm not fully out of the closet, but oftentimes, I am and present femme. So let's call that one 50/50.
Psychological woman? Because I am one.
Neurological woman? Because I am one [1].
Physical woman? My soft tissue redistribution is handling that well.
Hormonal woman? My blood tests are within cis female ranges.
Transcriptional woman? As a signalling molecule, the downstream effects of estrogen have broad transcriptional effects, completely changing the profile of gene expression and functional genomics of my cells. [2]
Genetic woman? I mean, see my above point- as far as my genes that are actually active, I have all of the same transcripts being produced, controlling which genes are expressed.
Karyotypic woman? I actually have a few signs pre-HRT that might point to a non-XY chromosome pair, but I haven't had a karyotype. We'll put that down as unknown. And hell, even if its XY, there's plenty of cis women who are karyotypically XY, with suppressed sry or complete androgen insensitivity. Interestingly enough, a completely androgen insesitive woman can go her whole life without knowing- and functionally, is very similar to a trans woman, actually. Fancy that. [3]
Reproductive woman? I can't produce an egg cell, but neither can significant fractions of cis women. Also, this is all gonna change soon, which is fun. [4]
There's also a lot of understudied aspects to the biology of HRT and even pre-HRT that are emerging, largely demonstrating widespread cellular and genetic remodeling of trans individuals undergoing hormone therapy. The field is a bit behind due to constant political pressure to revoke funding, but a lot of the results are extremely exciting in both testosterone and estrogen hormone therapies. I'm sure that, as a self professed biology As someone who presumably has a lot of expertise in biology, I'm assuming that you're aware of all of this cutting edge research, and are keeping up with modern papers, including but not limited to these cool findings:
Trans men on HRT exhibit significant genetic and transcriptional changes that make them biochemically male. [5][6]. It's a good hypothesis that the same happens with estrogen treatment, but those studies don't exist yet- I'm sure you're reserving judgment until more publications exist, of course.
Trans men on HRT develop male cell types and tissues. [7]
Trans women experience muscular and blood cell changes that align with cis women moreso than cis men [8]
And many, many more! This is an exciting, underserved, and groundbreaking field of research, and I'm sure you're keeping up with the latest in scientific journals about it.
I'm sure, of course, that you understand that it becomes impossible to draw a distinct line anywhere in here, and that words like "woman" are shorthand for the myriad of traits that invisibly synthesize in our mind and in society to represent a concept? I'm sure you understand that science is fundamentally descriptive, not prescriptive? I'm sure that you understand that these findings, while really cool and interesting, actually don't mean jack shit about what the word "woman" means or not?
As someone who is the ultimate decider in what a biologist is, I'm sure you know that bioessentiallism is a childish mindset that completely ignores and disregards the constantly changing, dynamic nature of biological systems, something that extends well beyond biological sex and its relation to gender.
I'm sure that also, that you understand that beyond just this, that the role of science in society is to advise how to achieve our moral principles, not create moral principles in themselves. And I'm sure that understanding means you know that trans affirming healthcare and supportive societal treatment leads to reduced mortality and increased happiness for everyone, right?
So great to talk to someone who is surely a scientist on this. You are a biologist, if you're talking like this, I assume? I assume you're not going to spit complete misreadings of scientific language from the background sections of these papers that only reveal you've never read a scientific paper in your life if you're thinking this way? I assume you have experience interpreting data like this?
Also, imagining my genitalia while writing this? Ew. Please stop projecting your fetishes into my inbox.

genuine question--would you mind clarifying why the use of trans lesbian is bad in reference to a trans person who is a lesbian? am i missing some context? i tried googling but i got mostly just a lot of vile garbage. nw if you're done talking about this topic, that is understandable. have a nice day (saluting emoji which i dont have but please imagine it here)
sure. 'trans lesbian' is, like, a compound word that means specifically 'a trans woman who is a lesbian', and not just 'someone who is trans and a lesbian', in the same way that idk a 'little finger' isn't just 'a finger that is small'. & obviously i am all for recognizing that labels are just labels, that words are not the things themselves, but 1. this is not, like, some weird backformation or super restrictive definition that people make up to mean arguments, it's how that word is used in common practice by queer orgs, media outlets, the UN, and 2. i think that there is context here that makes it pretty important to be extremely clear about who is and isn't a trans lesbian in this sense.
the context is that trans lesbians (ie, trans women, who are lesbians) are like at the center of the hurricane of transphobia across the world right now. ray blanchard, the fucking pioneer of modern pseudoscientific transmisogyny, specifically singles out the 'autogynophiles' (as opposed to the 'homosexual transsexuals, who are trans women attracted to men') as dangerous perverts. TERF's most hateful transmisogynistic caricatures and canards of trans women as dangerous sexual predators who are threat to Women's Spaces are implicitly about the Trans Lesbian. it's a term that sent the entire transphobia industrial complex into overdrive when it was used in some UN org's tweet:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
these headlines are not about Trans people who are also Lesbians--both these articles are filled with all the usual bile about how trans women are really sexually predatory men who want to infilitrate womanhood. neither of the people writing these articles would like leslie feinberg for sure, but they also wouldn't think of hir as a Dangerous Predator Infilitrationg Women's Spaces. & so when the trans lesbian is the fucking like cultural boogeyman that politicians are determined to performatively target and punish, i think that using that language to describe people who aren't transfem is diluting our ability to talk about this kind of transmisogyny.
& i mean like, this is not just an abstract concern, right, because the instant that i initially took issue with was someone essentially saying 'wow, why do you think that people who obsess over SBB specifically and The 80s more generally as the end-all be-all of Queerness and Lesbianhood tend towards a transmisogynist view of thoes things when leslie feinberg is literally a trans lesbian.' like it is explictly and obviously a rhetorical sleight of hand which is why i treated that ask with the contempt it deserved.

transfems can be women but you are not, you're an agp
(i actually blocked the original person who sent this and then resent it to myself on anon to keep the presentation fitting since i would like to share my perspective on this anyhow. here's what i would have said to this straw-man argument-haver if they weren't already blocked!)
TL;DR: you're wrong with both of the things you asserted in your statement. 1) i am not an AGP which is because 2) AGP's are exactly as much of a woman as i am.
what meaningful categorization could you put on someone to fit the description of "autogynophile" that precludes them from womanhood without inherently being contradictorily transphobic? "it turns them on to think about being vaginally penetrated" yeah i bet a lot of cishet woman fantasize about that too. "they only changed their identity because they like being a lady so much it helps them get off" okay? and? this is not a categorization which is inherently predatory, so who cares? gender is, irrevocably, an invention. it's a farce. it's nothing, we made it up, that's the whole point of agreeing that people can change it if they say they want to.
drawing a social line by the physical distinctions of "do they have penis or the other one" is as arbitrary as separating people by right handedness and left handedness or the eye color they were born with. the social expectations, behaviors, and woes are a consequence of the fact that everyone has been taught "this is just how it is, and it makes you different in every way, and this is how it's always been, and this is how it'll always be", same as the way people keep using fiat currencies (the US dollar for example), despite them being backed up by no singular tangible thing in any way that matters, aside from the word of the person who controls it.
and sometimes going along with that stuff is fine! i mean not the money, but the other one. the gender one. i like to be called a woman, while also knowing that "woman" is an invention. "pretty" is also an invention, and i love to be called that. "sonic the hedgehog" is an invention that people talk about using the same verbiage they use when describing real, tangible, breathing creatures, despite the fact that sonic the hedgehog exists conceptually and not physically (not including physical representations, which are not the same thing).
i think agp's are also women. if i could read someone's mind and they said "hi im a woman" but i knew they were thinking "im actually a man" i would still say "hello woman" because they might as well have given me their name for all the difference it makes in how we interact moving forward. if someone has no intention or probability to harm themselves or anyone else, i couldn't care less.
all that being said, you're wrong with both of the things you asserted in your statement. 1) i am not an AGP because 2) AGP are exactly as much of a woman as i am. it is a meaningless category coined by bigots and only given credibility by people with bigoted views.

I believe this to be especially true for TIFs, but I think a large part of thinking transitioning would save my life was due to a deep misunderstanding of what the trans community actually is.
The media portrayal is dissonant to the reality of how rife with depravity and sex-cultism it actually is. The preconceived idea going in is different than what you're going to see once you step foot into trans spaces..Mostly of course due to the TiM autogynophillic side of the equation, but also due to the high concentration of comorbid mental conditions that are frequently displayed and discussed within these circles.
There is a strong emotional aspect that many young women can connect to, that feeling of "you mean I can escape this?" And not having to face sex based oppression is something that resonated with me, the new unwanted male attention, the standards of what it means to become a woman, the performance we're expected not only to conform to but to enjoy. Seeing your friends who were boys change and become distant to you, like strangers. The change is isolating, jarring, and introduces prospects that children weren't made to comprehend. Add a crazy new mix of hormones and preteen angst into the equation and it's a perfect storm.
Trans ideology is such a dangerous thing to discover and the community will never be a safe place for children. It is harmful and self destructive by nature, it inhibits the path of true personal growth in development and masquerades as exactly what it is destructive towards.
I wish I had never learned about the vague concept of "transness." I believe dysphoria is real, I still experience it -- but it does not mean I am male, I am not trapped in my body, I do not have a male soul. I don't feel like a woman because there's no feeling associated with being your biological sex. You just are, it just is.
What I don't understand is how Dysphoria moved away from being a mental illness when it requires destructive, experimental surgeries, hormones, etc. to just get to the baseline of feeling contented in oneself.
But I understand also from firsthand that it is a beast that is never satisfied, I felt but a moment of peace when I got on testosterone and then all the worries about a mastectomy came into mind, but even if I got that...My body would still be so noticeably female...moving onto the next worry, body masculinization surgery -- is that even a thing? I hoped it was..and phalloplasty, and furthermore...but even then, it stands only as a barely passable approximation of what I wanted for myself. And the cost? Impossible.
The dream of transition is not, on a biological scientific and social scale, enough to satisfy dysphoria
I see my dysphoria now as something that exists parasitically alongside myself, it lives in the same space in my mind as my anorexia did -- both of those two things are something I fear I will never be free from in thought, but I strive everyday to put them away in order to live a healthy life. The difference in my treatment between those two mental illnesses was drastic. One landed me several times inpatient against my will, one was coddled and affirmed by every therapist I've ever had. I do not have to make the discernment of which one that was. They did not give me appetite suppressants for my anorexia, they did not give me weight loss surgery, they did not say that being emaciated and ill was really just who I was always meant to be. But, both impact my quality of life equally. Both have lead me to self destruct, self hate, ruminate on my insecurities and become obsessive over the parts of myself that I really could not change.
I don't know. These are just some thoughts I've been having.

I feel like there's some interesting lexical drift around the word "truscum" and what a scathing insult that's supposed to be, since tragically few people are around who remember and a lotta people just don't know about the Harry Benjamin standards of care or primary and secondary transsexualism.
Basically "truscum" is short for "true transsexual scum," and "true transsexual" was a specific medical categorization back inna day, referring to the teeny tiny minority of people whom psychologists would readily recognize as needing gender-affirming care; and back in those days ["those days" extending from the early 20th century up to the 2000s] most mainstream academics were pretty much just making crap up about trans people and jumped through some truly astounding hoops to stigmatize cross-gender inclinations, so being a primary "true" transsexual (as opposed to a secondary autogynophile or transvestic fetishist) often meant being white, affluent, conventionally attractive [more important than you might think; a lot of early medical literature on trans people is both really sexist and incredibly fucking creepy], able to change housing or careers easily, able to navigate an extremely complex and arbitrary network of medical gatekeeping.
So, calling someone "True Transsexual(tm) scum" was something like calling them a collaborator and a useful idiot, a way of saying "You're a fool who thinks you're better than us just because you won the lottery."
& Like, I, ya'girl, your friendly neighborhood boring and conventional transsexual, would probably not have made the cut had I lived back in those dark days by mere dint of my being poor, fat, disabled, and a weirdo.

I'm not a psychologist, so take this with a massive grain of salt, but... I do not think it's a coincidence that trans people absolutely demand to be included everywhere no matter how socially unacceptable it is and have meltdowns when they aren't included in something + a huge percentage of trans people are autistic + rejection sensitive dysphoria is a trait/symptom of autism. I just do not think those three things are coincidences.
I believe the founder of kiwi farms once called the trans movement a "rat king" because there are SO many different parts of it that all come together in very bizarre ways, and I'm not sure if it's a coincidence or on purpose.
Like you said, you have the autistic people trying to fit in with this new group they've been indoctrinated and lovebombed into (can we stop pretending lovebombing isn't a MASSIVE part of the trans community I mean the whole reason people even come out nowadays is so they can be showered in praise and attention), then you have the autogynophiles and crossdressers, then you have the HSTS dudes, then the fandom fujoshi girls who could also be lumped in with the autistic people (many self ID as autistic), then you've got moms who trans their kids either for attention or some other reason (munchausen by proxy), then you have actual predators who take advantage of the whole system (could also be agp but I consider jeffrey marsh part of this too, idk what he is i just assumed he's hsts but he could be agp). Then you've got the porn addiction aspect.
Then you've got big pharma handing out hormones to all of them! Then there's the issue of, like, is this all on purpose? Is this some kind of bizarre MKULTRA experiment or soft warfare by another country being used to destroy us from the inside? Is this just the tide receding before the tsunami of authoritarianism comes and claims us all?
Even just saying all of this sounds SO. FUCKING. INSANE. Being involved in this trans stuff, and being openly against it in general is so fucking hard because it's like a black hole of insanity that just consumes everything.
Honestly when I first peaked I seriously thought I was going through some kind of psychosis because surely all these people can't be wrong, surely there are men out there who really are women "on the inside", and vice versa.
But no.
It's all a lie.

I just want to thank you for holding the line on no transphobia allowed. I can’t tolerate reading the other gossip blogs anymore, because they’ve been borderline transmisogynist lately. Like really, you’re attacking Poppy for having gender affirming surgery? If it weren’t for your blog, I would have stopped following ages ago.
I'm really sorry, Anon. I haven't looked at those blogs, but I've been seeing a lot of transphobic rhetoric in the live chats of streams. If you've ever wondered what AGP is when it's spammed in those chats, it's Autogynophilia/Autogynophile, which is them saying the identity of trans women predicates entirely on the fetish of becoming a cis woman and ties into the whole "womanface" and "trans women becoming trans to be predators" conspiracy.
Its mainly why I haven't consumed much content about this situation from streamers. I don't... really trust that space.

yeah I’m so tired of this shit. I do not as an adult bisexual woman want to be lumped into the same community as autogynophiles and rape fetishists and furries and “kinksters” drop the fucking T. all of the hard fought for rights that REAL lgb people have put in the effort for over the years to just be seen as normal healthy members of society have been absolutely bastardized by porn-sick degenerate freaks. homosexuality is natural & normal. oppression is not a fucking personality. it’s not a kink. something is deeply deeply wrong with these people. we are not the same. you are not my community. congrats in giving the far right all the fodder they need in order to push their homophobic agenda forward. y’all did that.

i mean like there are hints as to how autogynephilia is a common male phenomenon in the fucking. scooby doo movie where shaggy gets breasts and checks himself out. is it really a stretch to imagine a man taking it further than fantasy and transitioning purely from sexual interest?
this just in shaggy from scooby doo is an autogynophile trans woman apparently
(i honestly debated how answering this - yes, it is a stretch? i dont like what you're implying? i don't see how anyone's motives for "transitioning" matter to a bystander who doesn't even know them? but honestly. your first example was shaggy from scooby doo. your source is. the scooby doo movie. i refuse to take this ask seriously but thank you for the entertainment)
