hi, i’m currently sick and it got me thinking about baby loscar when they’re both sick? are they like really well behaved and just miserable or is it just constant tears? i can totally see baby loscar both refusing to take their medicine and just causing their parents grief.

They are both but just at vary degrees. Oscar is more quiet and miserable. His eyes are constantly glassy like they are on the verge of tears but he doesn't cry as much. He does most of his crying at night when he a combination of hot/cold and his nose is stuffy and sleeping is practically impossible for him. He definitely causes his parents grief since the poor child just looks miserable constantly and they can't do anything about it.

Logan is more constant tears. He's hot, his body aches, and everything around him makes him incredibly dizzy. It's awful for him. His wailing can be heard throughout the home and he has to be held constantly since he'll cry for so long and so violently that he can sometimes choke. He becomes a lot more quiet and just weepy as the night goes on but the sudden change from loud to quiet really freaks out his parents.

Both babies hate their medicine. I have never met a baby that liked their cold medicine. The cold medicine given to babies tends to be grainy and saccharine so it really isn't a pleasant experience for children. Giving them cold medicine is a two person job with one person holding the baby tightly while the other dispenses the medicine and making sure they don't spit it up. Usually the person who is least swayed by their child is the one holding them since the babies will cry and plead and stuff their face into their parent's shirts in hopes of salvation.

However, once the children have recovered, all the parents get sick and the children get sent to their grandparents.

How is the relationship between baby! Loscar and their dads’ teammates? This brings me to my other question, who are Lando’s and Alex’s teammates considering their teammates are their babies?

That is a great question and one I cannot believe I haven't answered yet.

Lando's teammate is Pato O'ward (currently an Indycar driver). Oscar has a love-hate relationship with Pato. Pato has the vibe of someone who would tease Oscar and it would annoy him but Oscar also loves him a lot and calls his "Uncle Pato". Pato spoils Oscar with a million treats and toys. He really enjoys breaking through Oscar's impassivity which will either elicit a giggle or a frustrated yell and Pato's laughter will only further frustrate him.

Alex's teammate is Mick Schumacher. Logan adores Mick and Mick adores Logan. That is the clearest way to describe their relationship. Logan sees Mick as a cool older brother and is always excited to play with him. Sometimes, when Alex is busy, Logan will hang out in Mick's driver's room where he has his own little set up there. They'll toss a ball around or watch old race clips of Mick's dad. Mick, in turn, absolutely dotes on Logan and is the easiest victim to Logan's tears and puppy eyes.

The Jenson ask is hilarious! Now all I can imagine is Sky Sports telling Jenson to kidnap Logan again to get George and Alex on again. Meanwhile, Jenson, who has already kidnapped Logan again, rolls up like this is my new copresenter we don't need Danica Patrick anymore Logan has better thoughts on the race. Williams is on red alert trying to find their missing baby because James doesn't check his texts during races!

Oscar now attempts to escape McLaren every time he sees Logan on the Big Face Time (TV) because one miracle escape does not mean Logan will always be safe!

Jenson is tired of Danica and decides if Sky Sports won’t give him a replacement, he’ll find one for himself. Logan is old enough to toddle around so he gets his own little space that he can play in when Jenson comes along and coaxes him outside.

Has Logan been given the whole “strange danger, don’t go off alone” talk by his parents? Yes, yes he has.

But Jenson isn’t a stranger so it’s okay and Jenson easily walks out with Logan in tow. After all, it’s not like he kidnapped him. Logan went off his own free will and with the promise of chocolate.

Jenson also shoots off a text to James saying:

Heads up!

Taking Logan for a bit. If you want him back, have Alex and George come to us. 1 interview.

You know where we're at.

James of course does not read it because he's busy being a team principal. In fact, the Williams staff are secretly running around trying to find Logan thinking he’s wandered off looking for his dads because “he knows better to wander off with strangers.” It isn’t until 15 minutes after that James is notified after Logan is confirmed to not be in the garage or hospitality. By then, Jenson has returned to where the rest of the Sky Sports team is with Logan in tow.

“Uhh, Jenson? “ One of the staff members spoke up, “We’re about to be on air soon.”

“I know! This is Logan. He’s my co-presenter for today.” Logan waved at the crew, who smiled and waved back.

"Did you ask to take him?" Nico smiled and waved back. "The last time you did this, Williams thought you kidnapped him."

"Logan wanted to follow me on his own." Jenson scoffed. "Isn't that right?"

Logan, for his part, just cheered and offered up a piece of chocolate to Natalie, who happily took it.

"On his own, huh?"

"It'll be fine."

"Isn't Danica supposed to be-" Natalie said.

"Nope, Logan's is already here. Besides, this is preparing him for the future.

"You don't even know if he wants to be a driver?"

Jenson gasped at Nico's comment. "How could you say that?"

"Don't listen to him, Logan. You can become a Williams driver. I believe in you."

"That's not-"

"And we're live!"

Oscar's eyes widened at the sight of the TV. "Lo!"

Lando looked up, having finished interviews early and returning to his driver's room. "Oh, yeah that's Logan. Looks like he's with Jenson."

Oscar watched in horror as Lando returned back to looking at the data. "No! Lo! Lo!"

Lando looked up at his son's insistent eyes. "Hey, it's okay. We're meeting them for dinner soon."

Oscar, however, did not agree with this and instead started to stumble towards the door and pull on the handle. Lando, being taller and faster, immediately jumped up and put his hand on it.

Oscar proceeds to yank at the door handle and cry. Going as far as to try and shove Lando away. "Lo!"

Alex and George were walking to find Sky Sports, especially Jenson, after receiving a screenshot of his message? Threat?

"I swear when I find him" George muttered. "How dare he kidnap my child? Logan knows better than to wander off with strangers."

"Jenson's not a stranger." Alex unhelpfully replied. "I'm sure he's fine. It's good for Logan to be around new people."

"What if he's hurt? Uncomfortable?"

"He's with Jenson. He wasn't kidnapped."

"That message read like a ransom note."

Logan was actually quite happy about participating in the interviews. He stayed silent when others were speaking and at the end, they would turn to him and ask if he had any questions to ask, to which he replied in mangled words and sounds. It didn't matter since everyone treated it as serious and the drivers even provided full answers.

"Yes, I agree with you Logan. Our strategy was obviously not the best. We will come back stronger next time."- Charles

"I agree, Logan. Hamilton definitely brake checked me. Thank you for seeing it my way. You would do great at Aston Martin." - Fernando

"Did Fernando say that? If the stewards haven't said anything, I wouldn't put too much weight on it, Logan"- Hamilton

"Oh, he's a natural." Jenson cooed as Logan received another cookie from Nico.

"Dada!" Logan cheerfully yelled out, his mouth covered with crumbs.

Alex looked almost amused at the scene but George seemed to be on the warpath. Careful not to let his collateral go, Jenson adjusted his hold on Logan. "Hey, George, Alex. Nice of you to stop by."

"Hello," Alex greeted. "And hello to you Logan. You seem to be having fun."

"Oh he is," Jenson cheerfully ignored George's stare. "He's such a good interviewer."

"Well thank you so much for joining us today, gentlemen."

"It's not like we had a choice," George muttered

For the entire five minutes, Logan watched as his dads were being interviewed on their performance on the track. Alex went along with the whole thing quite well. George, on the other hand, kept a neutral face but his eyes were firmly locked on Logan.

"Lo! Lo!" Oscar yelled out.

Logan looked up and smiled. "Osca! Osca!"

"How wonderful of you to join us Lando" Natalie greeted. "It's a reunion of the 2019 rookies."

Lando laughed. "It wasn't my intention. Oscar saw Logan on TV and begged to go."

The walk back was fairly quiet with Logan knocked out from the amount of sugar and Oscar exhausted from the tantrum he threw earlier.

"I wonder if Jenson would babysit for us." Alex joked,

"Absolutely not," George said. "Logan is going to start associating Jenson with candy and cookies. Jenson will also take it as an open invitation to just kidnap him again."

"He had a lot of fun. I'm glad." Alex said, practically ignoring George.

"I'm glad he had fun. Oscar kicked me in the shin." Lando muttered, a bit peeved at how peacefully asleep Oscar was.

Hello! You mentioned George being a light sleeper and Logan trying to sneak out. I was just wondering if you had more on that, like is Logan sneaking out to meet Oscar at a track or is he getting caught before he can even get out to the driveway.

Do you think George and Alex are the type of parents to go looking for their kid, or the ones that stay up waiting for them in dark while he try’s to sneak back in? Does he get grounded? And if he did sneak out to see Oscar would they tell Carlos and Lando?

Also you’re an amazing writer. Hope you’re having a good day/night🫶

The first and last time he sneaks out is to meet up with Oscar to go to a party but he doesn’t make it out of the driveway. The moment he clicks the unlock button on his car keys, George is standing at the front door and telling him to come back inside. At least he fared better than Oscar who doesn’t even make it out the door because Lando is up late streaming and hears him trying to leave.

George and Alex would stay up waiting for Logan in the dark. George would want to go out looking but Alex is tired and finds waiting for Logan in his room as he tries to climb in through the window much more amusing. Logan absolutely gets grounded when he gets caught. It tracks, school, and home for him. No video games, no going out, and very limited access to his phone. He still gets to keep contact with Oscar though.

They would absolutely tell Carlos and Lando and both of them would end up grounded.

loscar baby’s first headcanons (steps, words, solid food, laugh, birthday etc)??

Of course! I have already written first step for Logan and I have Oscar's in the process. I also have a ask/snippet for first words in the process but I definitely do the others.

Solid Food- I spent so much time going through the Gerber website that my algorithm might think i have a baby.

Logan's first solid food was pureed fruit. Babies start to get solid food around 6 months old and they tend to prefer sweeter stuff, so pureed fruit is a good start. He loves pureed apples, strawberries, and bananas. His least favorite is pureed celery since they tend to be bland. He can also tell which jar is the celery based on the cap.

Oscar's first was pureed butternut squash that Carlos made himself. Oscar really enjoyed it but keeping up the energy to make your baby's food while you're traveling took a lot of energy. His least favorite is pureed peas. They're just unappetizing and Oscar refuses to eat them.

Laugh

Logan's first laugh was when he was around 6 months. Alex was playing peak-a-boo as George was filming when Logan giggled. It was the most angelic sound they had ever heard. Alex was ecstatic while George started crying about how happy he was.

Oscar's first laugh was when Oscar was 4 months old. Lando was playing with Oscar as the family was eating lunch. He was waving a toy cat with a bell on it around which would jingle everything it moved. When Lando dropped the cat, causing a flurry of jingling sounds to erupt, Oscar's laughter joined it. This spurred on Lando and Carlos is continue dropping the toy cat just so they can elicit more of Oscar's angelic laughter.

1st Birthday

Logan's first birthday took place in the UK. It was fairly small with friends and family and a couple drivers. Since Logan's birthday is the day before New Years, the weather tends to be cold so they're stuck inside. Not that Logan minds, since everyone is there to play with him and sing him happy birthday.

Oscar's 1st birthday was quite big due to their teams joining as well as the drivers and friends and family. it was celebrated in Spain since April in the UK tended to be quite cloudy. Oscar had a grand time with all the cakes and presents and especially, with Logan there. They got tired half-way through and had to take a nap.

1st time at a race

Logan was absolutely terrified during his first race. At one moment he's with his parents and the next he's back in his carrier. Logan clings desperately to his parents but to no avail. After some time, he does calm down enough to enjoy the race. He gets his own little screen to watch the race and his own headset that has his initials on the side.

Oscar was a darling at his first race up until the moment his parents had to leave. He took in all the stimuli very well including the crowd. However, once the realization set in that his parent's weren't coming, he panicked. He thought they abandoned him and it was only when Carlos was shown on camera getting out of the car did Oscar start to relax.

Baby!Logan prompt - It came to my mind so I thought I’d share. I felt like I’ve written too many happy stuff and we need something a bit sad.

George gets injured and suffers from amnesia. He doesn’t remember anything past his first year at Williams. He especially doesn’t remember marrying Alex or adopting Logan.

Told to be gentle and not to force him to remember, Alex takes on childcare alone while also tending to George. Alex is very patient about it, understanding that his husband is also suffering and is trying his best to remember. Alex gives George his space to explore the home and remember at his own pace. He sleeps in Logan’s room while George gets their room. They take separate cars to events and Alex drops off Logan on his own.

Logan, however, is a bit too young to understand. He doesn’t understand why his father doesn’t play with him anymore, believing that the reason is because George doesn’t like him. George just doesn’t know how to connect with Logan and feels extremely guilty.

Feeling that their shared home in Monaco may be a bit too much stimuli for George, they return to England with Alex and Logan staying in their shared home there and George staying with his parents. Alex ends up visiting his family a lot for help with Logan since the stress of taking care of a child alone is getting to him. It’s also helps that the pets help take Logan’s mind off of things.

George, after a couple weeks starts to remember everything and feels incredibly guilty. He goes to their shared home only to find it devoid of occupants and breaks down, thinking they’ve left him. Alex and Logan come home a couple hours later to find George sitting on the floor crying.

Alex can’t seem to get him to explain himself over the tears. Logan goes over to hug him, because even if he isn’t remembered he knows that his dad likes hugs. George is relieved to find that his family didn’t abandon him and is very apologetic about even daring to forget them in the first place

Why do I do this to them? I don’t know

I feel like George is usually the victim in my stories and I don’t know why. I put him through all this emotional torment for some reason.

Hey, could you write something about your baby Loscar AU, if I remember correctly one headcanon was that George sneaked into Alex's driver's cab to hug Logan as if he were a teddy bear… maybe baby Logan didn't want to stay at Williams for some reason for the Australian GP (🙃) or did he just want to be with George but couldn't, and after the race Alex finds George hugging/sleeping with Logan? (sorry for my English, it's not my first language)

It felt like he was on autopilot. Toto had pushed debriefs to later, instead choosing to send the team doctor and psychologist to examine him. The last lap had everyone rattled and it was unlikely they would be able to be productive in this state. So George's body took him to the safest place he could think of. The place where his love, his life, was gathered into one room.

He lamented that his child could not spend his time in Mercedes. The garage and hospitality was simply too crowded with staff and VIPs and Logan was so shy, so terrified of new people that George would have been unable to put him down. How could he when his son clung to him so tightly for protection? But now, he wanted needed to see him. He needed to be where it was safe.

The Williams garage was empty, everyone was in the debrief. Making it much easier for him to get in, even though he had never met resistance before. The knock was an empty gesture since he knew he'd be allowed in anyways. The nanny smiled and left upon seeing him, knowing well enough to give him space.

Logan with his cherub-like face and golden hair, was lying on his play mat and perfectly content with the little lion Max had gifted recently. George said no word, instead choosing to watch as Logan waved the lion around. Logan, spotting his father out of the corner of his eye, squealed in delight and reached his arms out to him.

George smiled and in that moment, he felt the ache and weight of the past couple days. Pulling Logan into his arms, the boy wrapped his arms around George and babbled joyfully. Yes, this was where he needed to be. No matter how hopeless he felt, how exhausted and tired and disappointed he was about his failure to provide Mercedes with points, how scared he was today- it all disappeared. Logan didn't care about point, or winning, or constructors championships, he just wants to see his dads. That's all he needs to be happy.

George placed a kiss on the top of Logan's head. "I'm back, Logie. Did you miss me?"

Logan babbled nonsensically in return. George only hugged him tighter, taking in the warmth and the soft smell of baby powder and banana puree.

Alex was exhausted when he came back. He wanted to go home to the UK. They were all staying at his mom's before flying out to Suzuka. He wanted to go home, celebrate his birthday and forget about this whole weekend. He wanted cake, and kisses, and cute photos of Logan with the pets.

Though, he would take the sight before him as compensation for his awful week. Alex quickly pulled out his phone to snap the adorable scene in front of him. George, with all his long, lanky limbs, had managed to squeeze himself within the confines of the play mat. He was curled around Logan, the boy asleep on George's arm. Alex knows he should wake George up, especially with the back pain he could get sleeping in that position, but he let it go. It seemed like they all needed this today.

You mentioned that Baby Oscar disliked Carlos at the beginning.. what’s the beef between the baby and his papa

Some babies take time to warm up to specific people. A relative of mine, his daughter refused to be held by him until she was 3-4 months old. His face just set her off for unknown reasons.

Oscar is the same. He just prefers Lando and Carlos just sets him off into a fit. It’s also that he prefers Lando doing specific tasks and Carlos doing them offends Oscar.

Is there a rhyme or reason to it? No, just the whims of an infant.

He’s also too young to communicate so all he knows is that he doesn’t like it when Carlos does certain things and he cries about it. He eventually warms up to Carlos overtime but it was touch-and-go the first couple months.

The Loscar baby au is so cuteeee. I'm curious as to what your take on how baby Oscar meeting baby Logan would go? I'm not sure if the au is them having turned into babies or if they were always babies. But I always imagined that Oscar is pretty indifferent to most people (with the exception of Carlando) until he meets Logan. I feel like after meeting Logan, Oscar is super protective over him and wants to stick to Logan like glue.

I was also between whether to have them be turned into babies or if they were always babies. I have settled on having them always be babies since it just makes the stories more interesting and allows me to write more scenarios.

Oscar is ecstatic at meeting Logan. It is very much a best friends-at-first-sight. Oscar doesn't play a lot with other kids and most of his time is spent traveling with his parents, so he sees them most of the time.

Upon meeting Logan, he and Oscar are attached. Oscar treated separating them as if it is a crime. They see each other everyday on Face Time. Every race weekend they see each other so for Oscar, this amount of interaction is normal. Once things like winter break hits where Oscar can't see Logan in person almost every weekend though, cue a complete meltdown. Everything that is his is Logan's. He keeps trying to give Logan Mclaren merch by shoving it into his hands because they are too young to put it on. Their toys are also always mixed up with each other as well so it's hard to separate who's belongings are who's.

i love baby!Oscar being so upset by Alpine stuff that I am bursting with ideas. and then I was like JACK! is this a case where Jack is like the only person who can wear the pink and blue and not upset Oscar? Jack approaches and Carlando brace themselves but when jack picks Oscar up Oscar just cuddles in because fellow koala? or is Jack the Alpine baby and sometimes they just cry at each other every time the Alpine Debacle happens because Oscar is upset at the Alpine colours and Jack is upset that Oscar is upset?

also: tell me Uncle Fernando wouldn't have the best time with the fact that baby Oscar just viscerally hates Alpine. He would LOVE it.

Jack is sadly not an exception. 😅

Oscar's beef isn't with the drivers but rather the existence of Alpine. Is it because they're French? Is it because of their vibes? Or is it because of the colors? No one can tell, but the one truth of the matter is that Oscar is not a fan of them.

Jack feels very bad about making Oscar cry. He genuinely feels guilty so he usually doesn't wear pink and blue when he is with Oscar. He's very much an older brother figure. He is one of the first to help Oscar when he starts to kart.

Fernando is a chaotic uncle to both families. He relishes in this tiny infant's hatred of Alpine. To him, it just proves he made a great choice by joining Aston Martin and if a baby can hate Alpine, it just shows how bad the vibe is there.

how thrilled is baby!oscar with the alpine downfall this season??

And ik Logan has a great relationship with James but how does he act with toto??

Oscar is thrilled at the fact he doesn't have to see them on the screen a lot. Oh, one of the Alpine cars are out? Well that's one less Alpine he has to see on screen. By thrilled, it just means he isn't crying or wailing and forcing the tallest Mclaren intern to stand in front of the TV with a piece of paper to cover the Alpine when they appear on screen.

He's a bit too young to understand that they are not doing well but he roots for the fact that they are in the back. The cars he cares about (Ferrari and Mclaren) are in the top 10 so he doesn't have to see the Alpine's too much.😂

Logan is a bit of scared of Toto and Mercedes in general. James and Williams feels very close-knit, like a family. To Logan it feel warm and cozy there. Mercedes is stricter and Logan is a lot more shy there. However, the Mercedes team adores him and spoil him a lot when he visits.

Logan is very shy around Toto the first time he meets him. He buries his face into George's shoulder and only looks up with a lot of coaxing. However, after some time, he grows comfortable enough to let Toto hold him. Toto doesn't explain the building process of the front wing to Logan like James does, but he lets Logan sit in meetings and debriefs and listen to other people talk.

When Logan just learns how to walk, Toto will hold his hand and walk with him through hospitality. Logan is very quiet most of the time and babbles and points when he is curious. To which Toto will answer as if he is talking to a grown member of the team and not a 1 year old. The relationship is very much "stoic business-man grandfather and the grandkid he lets color in his office as long as they're quiet."

Baby oscar so adorable!!! 🥰

I wonder what he’s reaction was to Carlos getting appendicitis. Like is he sad that his dad is in pain? And like he’s trying to do what his dads do to help him when he gets sick. He prefers Lando mostly but like during the whole appendicitis he doesn’t want to leave Carlos and cries when Carlos has to go for operation.

Oscar is incredibly despondent. He knew something was wrong a couple days before when Carlos kept having abdominal pain and was unable to hold him. As Carlos got sicker and more exhausted, Oscar spent less and less time with him since they were worried Carlos has the flu or something contagious. Lando and Oscar show up in the hospital a couple hours before Carlos’s operation and Lando is incredibly worried. He knew of the awful complications Alex had and how terrifying it was for all of them, especially George who forced himself to race that weekend.

Carlos, of course, soothes Lando’s worries and dotes on Oscar, saying he’ll see them once he’s out and there isn’t any need for them to worry. Oscar is not happy. He hates hospitals and wants to go back to the hotel and sleep there. However, he’s also intuitive to know that Carlos is sick but he’s too young to understand how severe it is. Instead, he thinks it is like a cold and keeps trying to pull the blanket up and scratch the top of his dad’s head because that’s what they do when he’s sick.

When Lando and Oscar have to leave, Oscar becomes very upset. Clinging onto Carlos and then onto the blanket, he is absolutely despondent about having to leave his dad behind. He cries the entire trip back to the hotel. Lando does his best to explain that Oscar is too little and how Carlos needs time and space to recuperate. Oscar does not take this well and instead is angry at Lando the whole day. He plays by himself silently as Lando is getting ready and ignores him. However when Lando leaves for qualifying, Oscar starts to cry and cling onto him. Even though Carlos is back for the race, he still isn’t fully recovered and is primarily there to support Ollie, which also leaves Oscar very upset since he wants to see his dad.

At the end of the weekend, it becomes hard to discern who had it the worst. Carlos who was in surgery, Oscar who was upset the entire time about it, or Lando who had to deal with both.

I don't know if you've already mentioned it somewhere but for the Loscar baby au, were Logan and Oscar adopted? Or did they use a surrogate

I thought I did but looking back I realized I didn’t 😅 I have notes that I forget I’ve never published.

Logan and Oscar are both adopted.

Oscar was adopted when he was a bit younger than 1 month. Logan was adopted a month after Oscar was and he was around 6 months old.

In Friends-At-First-Sight, Oscar is 2 months old when he meets Logan and Logan is 6 months old.
