Cheval X Nergigante Rider Male Reader

You were on your way to see your boyfriend, Cheval to show him your Nergigante monstie, you were so excited to see show him your monstie as well. But you felt worried that he'll scold you for having a Nergigante as your monstie since he despises them for their chaotic nature, but you didn't let that thought get to you when you finally got to where Cheval was.

"Hey baby," you said while getting off your Nergigante monstie, "hey Y/N, what's that Nergigante doing here?" Cheval asked in a curious tone, you hesitated before saying, "I-It's my monstie," you replied. "Y/N, what have I told you about Nergigantes? You shouldn't be around them," Cheval said in a scolding tone, "but baby this one is harmless," you replied in a low tone, "no it isn't Y/N, it's dangerous and you shouldn't be around it," Cheval said in the same scolding tone.

"Baby please, give the Nergigante a chance, I'm sure that you'll get along with it," you said, "baby, I know you want to have a monstie, but you have to understand that you can't have a Nergigante as a monstie," Cheval said in a calm tone.

"I know you don't want to see me get hurt Cheval, but do you remember the time when we chased down the source of the Rage Rays?" You asked him, "yes, I remember," he replied, "and do you remember when we took down the Nergigante in the Crystal Depths?" You asked again, "definitely, it would've caused more chaos if we hadn't took it down" Cheval replied, "but it wasn't actually causing chaos, it was actually trying to find the source of the Rage Rays as well. Cheval, I know you think that Nergigantes are dangerous, but they are like us because they have similar goals of hunting and taking down dangerous monsters, sure we don't see eye to eye but it's true," you said.

It took a while for Cheval to respond before he finally said, "you're right Y/N, I wasn't aware of that until now. Thanks for opening my eyes Y/N," Cheval said before smiling, "wait, you really mean that?" You asked, "yes Y/N, I really mean it," he said before looking at your Nergigante monstie, "hey Y/N, how about we go ride on your Nergigante monstie for a while?" Cheval asked, "of course baby," you said before kissing him, and with that you two climbed on your Nergigante monstie before it began to fly into the air.

Part 2! Lilia has discovered the whereabouts of the group who tried to steal Ratha and manipulated Kyle. Still super mad at them, the rider decides to go after them with their Nergigante (you can use M/N if you want to or you can use the name of my Nergigante, Desolation) Kyle wants to go as well and his family goes because they're mad at the group for manipulating Kyle. Apparently, the group is holed up in Lamure Tower. So they go there and start fighting their way through the tower to the top. Once they get to the top, a battle ensues. Kyle and his family against the remaining hunters in the opposing group and the rider and their Nergigante against Zellard. After restraining the hunters, Kyle looks over at the rider and sees that Zellard stabbed them through their chest. Kyle cries out in worry getting the others attention. His family is horrified and the hunters smirk. However, the rider simply coughs out some blood, grabs the sword, pulls it out of their chest and uses it to stab Zellard through the shoulder of his dominant hand. Everyone watching sees the hole in their chest heal itself remarkably fast and the Nergigante pins Zellard to the ground, growling. Kyle, his family and the rider take them back to Lulucion where the groups is arrested. I can't think of anything else, add anything else if you want to!

Sounds nice! I would love to kick Zellard's ass in the actual game (Capcom...future update please)

A Faked Out Fatal Blow

You and Kyle’s family face the hunters who took Ratha. You have quite the surprise in store.

“They’ll get what’s coming to them.” You growled, and the hunters you were traveling with nodded in agreement. 

Lilia had managed to discover the whereabouts of the hunters and riders who kidnapped Ratha. Figuring this could be your chance to end things once and for all, you took your most ferocious monstie, a nergigante named M/N, and went to pursue the group.

They were holed up where it all started. At Lamure Tower.

Kyle and his family wanted to as well. Not only as backup for you (not that you needed it), but because they were quite pissed that these people manipulated the baby of their family. His dad was really mad, and now that he was healed, he was not going to let this go. Also, while Kyle’s brothers tended to tease him, they would also defend their little brother from these people.

“So, plan, anyone?” Levi asked and his dad was the first to respond.

“Most likely their leader will be at the top, where it’s safest. So, we will fight are way up.” He glanced at you for approval and you nodded. 

“I like it. Let’s crack some skulls.” Isaac said with a wicked grin. Everyone was frightened by that, but you just agreed. You guys continued marching onwards till you stood before the tower.

“Ready everyone?” You asked while patting your monstie’s side.

“Yeah, just be careful, alright.” Kyle said while placing a hand on your shoulder. You put your hand over his and smiled.

“I will.” You promised, and Aeon coughed.

“I hate to break up the romance, but we got some fighting to do.” With that being said, your party drew their weapons and rushed into the tower. As expected, it was crawling with both those evil riders and the hunters who betrayed the Guild. The fighting itself wasn’t very hard. These people most likely didn’t expect such a rave, from a ravenous nergigante and six other hunters on top of that.

It was quite easy to reach the top, but that’s where the easiness ended.

“So, you finally came to see me.” Zellard drawled out in that tone of his. He stood there in all his supposed glory with some remaining hunters there as well.

“Face me, Zellard. Let’s end this once and for all.” You growled and your nergigante huffed. The evil wyverian drew his sword and grinned.

“I thought you’d never ask.”

Then another much greater battle ensues at the tower’s peak. As you face against Zellard, the others fought off the remaining hunters who tried to get in their way. Kyle desperately wanted to go and help you, but knew that he would just be getting in the way.

Soon, his brothers and father, along with himself, were able to restrain the hunters. Of course, Isaac had to go and hurt some of them because that’s just who he is. As his brothers taunted the hunters, Kyle turned to your battle. What he saw made him pale.

“You think I don’t know a nergigante’s power? Let this be a reminder to you!” Zellard shouted while plunging his sword through your chest. Blood spewed out as your face had a look of shock.

“Y/N! No!” Kyle shouted in pure horror, catching the attention of his family members, who rushed to his side.

“Oh my goodness...” Aeon gasped in horror as the other brothers winced. His dad looked beyond furious as he gripped his weapon. The hunters they took down began to laugh and smirk, your defeat seeming like their victory.

“You bastards!” Kyle shouted at all of them as he readied his bow. He was about to kill each and every one of these guys.

However, you hadn’t fallen dead.

Instead, you coughed out a bit of blood while pulling out the sword. You had an irritated look on your face as Zellard looked like he’s just seen a ghost.

“How did you...” As the wyverian struggled for words, you took no time in using his own sword to stab him in the shoulder. As this occurred, Kyle and his family could only watch in awe as your wound seem to seal itself shut in a matter of seconds.

“Call humans pathetic one more time Zellard, because I think I’m the one who will end up living longer than you.” You hissed while your nergigante pinned him to the floor, roaring and growling in absolute rage. Which may be a bit personal, considering all the nergigante’s he’s hunted. You then looked back over at all the others, who were staring at you as if you have been raised from the dead.

“Well, guys? Are we going?” You asked as if nothing happened. Slowly, everyone nodded and rounded up the rebels to turn them into the Guild.

However, they all wanted an explanation.

After arresting the group, you all decided to get dinner in celebration. While you continued to act like nothing had happened, Levi decided to break the ice.

“Y/N, how did you heal so fast? Was it some type of miracle potion, because if so, I want the recipe.” He asked and you grinned.

“I just seem to have an immune system that’s really on top of things.” You grinned while taking another bite of your food.

“But you were stabbed in the chest. THE CHEST.” Kyle emphasized that last bit, and you just shrugged. You didn’t know how else to explain it besides that your body is able to recover really quickly.

“I say that it’s better to recover quickly than take months like me.” Kyle’s dad said with a laugh, and you nodded with a grin of your own. However, Kyle and his brothers were still struggling to comprehend this. They would have to see it several more times to believe it.

Until then, you had plenty of stories to tell.

Whoa those aRE A LOT OF BABIES FOR SOMETHING SO DANGEROUS AND LONG LIVED?!?

Those numbers tell me that Chameleos occurrences should be much, much more common that we think, yet the fact that they are so rare tells me that the numbers are probably lowered by predators.

I know of Nergigante, but i doubt the big noisy lug would be able to hunt down such a sneaky creature so easely, so i'm afraid to ask what else is capable of quelling the numbers of something that is invisible and poisonous.

The babies of a Chameleos are remarkably fragile.

They require the perfect weather and temperatures, and the smallest of fluctuations can make them incredibly ill.

It's why storms are always such a bad time for the parents.

It's not so much predators that the Chameleos has to worry about, but the biome in which it tries to raise its young.

Predators only become an issue if the whelps are left alone - and that's why Chameleos are so protective of their little ones.

I suspect our little rescue wasn't strong enough to hold on to it's panicking parent trying to get it out of the rain and cold, and rather than risk the rest of the clutch the parent chose the many over the few.

I'll be frank - out of 40 eggs, only 3-5 may survive to adolescence.

How do you think my fave boys (Cheval, Alwin, and Reverto) would think if their rider SO was the type of person who gave her monsties cute names and treated them like babies, even the scary species like Deviljho and Nergigante?

This rider s/o is a mood.

Cheval:

-Out of all three finds it the most endearing.

-Seeing someone love their monsties as much as you do and how you pamper them make him feel a tiny bit guilty he isn't like you with Rathi. So he starts to be a bit more doting with her too. Is awkward at first but won't give up because if any monstie deserves it it's Rathi.

-Always asks how you came up with some of your names. Depending on how cutesy or silly the names are he would probably die inside when he said them. Not because they're bad, but because he feels the name coming from him sounds infinitely more ridiculous.

-If you make your own treats for your monsties he will probably ask you to make some for Rathi too.

Alwin:

-Manages to both understand and not understand your behavior at the same time.

-He is worried you may spoil your monsties too much, or that Shaulk may get jealous since he is so much stricter compared to you.

-Keeps an eye on your monsties to see how they grow under your care, especially the 'scarier' monsties.

-He sometimes gets jealous when your focus is on your monsties too much. But he will never say it.

Reverto:

-Finds it endearing and worrying. Worrying because save some of that baby-ing for him!

-Yeah your bigger buddies make him nervous at first, but he gets over it fairly quick. He figures its just because he hasn't seen someone with such powerful monsties before.

-Tries to get to know your monsties and care for them too. He is just kinda bad at the second one as he is even more lieniet than you.

-Has actually hid in your stable to nap when things are calm. You found this out coming home to seeing him asleep against one of your fluffier monsties.

-the legend and the baby: 2-

carrying cheval through the market was not easy, y/n tensing whenever the boy moved or grabbed onto them. He gazed around the market, seeming uncomfortable in the large crowds of people.

”lets see… we need to get something that will hopefully fit you..” y/n muttered, one hand on their chin. They spotted a clothing stand suited towards smaller children, and looked around. They opted for a light green onesie, and paid before setting off.

”what else do babies need… to be honest the food here doesnt look all that fresh..” the legendary rider hums, gazing at the food stands. “wonder what you can even eat..” they thought, before looking at cheval.

”do you have teeth in that mouth?” Y/n raised a brow, cheval opened his mouth to reveal pink gums lacking any teeth. “Well that makes this harder.”

they gave a quick glance over the fruit, before shaking their head in distaste. Walking to the fountain, they sat down and began to ponder what to do with the boy.

“honestly.. im so hunting lilia down for revenge.” Y/n hissed to themselves. “why wont you just let someone else take care of you? Im not cut out for this.” They murmered, tense with stress.

cheval picked up on their unease, grabbing a tight hold on their armor and clinging to them like life depended on it. They flinched at the sudden movement, and froze when they heard the boy sniffle, tears welling in his eyes.

for a long moment, the rider had a crisis while cheval clung to them, torn between leaving him in someone else’s hands and bolting, or just gritting their teeth and bearing it. With a small shake of the head, they decided on the latter.

they looked at the upset baby and hesitated, before placing their left hand on his back, and carding their other hand through his hair. As the boy began to calm, y/n relaxed as well. They huffed a deep sigh, and stood, grabbing their bag and moving towards the entrance of lulucion.

cheval still held tight to them, and gazed up at y/n. They met his gaze and using their free hand wiped the tears that had gathered at his eyes and cheeks, before looking ahead again. Cheval’s thoughts raced, they hadnt abandoned him, maybe they didnt really dislike him as bad as he thought before.

The thought made happiness flutter in his heart, maybe there was a chance for him to redeem himself to them, to earn their trust once more and repair the mistakes he had made in his power hungry rage years ago.

y/n treaded into a field, getting distanced from the town before whistling. Mere seconds later a familiar roar was heard as a rathalos descended from the sky, y/n smiled at their companion.

”hey ratha.” The cooed, running a hand over the wyverns head. Ratha purred affectionately and nudged them.

Ratha sniffed at cheval, recognizing him immediately despite his current state. cheval was nervous that ratha may not have forgiven him, but as the wyvern gave him a nudge those worries faded. Y/n chuckled at cheval who had put a pudgy hand out, which the wyvern placed his head into.

y/n mounted ratha in one swift movement, and placed cheval in the saddle in front of them. “Alright ratha, take it easy, we cant lose the little one.” They said. in the next moment ratha was in the air, flying higher.

cheval held the saddle, wind caressing his hair and tried to figure out where they were headed. As they began to cross the ocean he figured it was where they had lingered while avoiding him, hence why he wasnt familiar with the place.

a small island came into view, growing with each beat of rathas wings. Cheval hadn’t known of this island, spending most of his time searching for the nergigante he had been tracking or searching for any sign of y/n.

ratha began to descend, and a small village came into view. It was situated in the beach, and built on wood platforms above the water. he gazed in awe as ratha landed, and he saw some villagers beginning to gather at the sight of y/n.

”well cheval,” y/n said, a fond tone in their voice. “Welcome to mahana.”
