I'm scared? Ok more EvaJacks!

In the Hollow, when he was tending to her wounds after the mirror curse caused Evangeline to be whipped alongside Apollo, Jacks straight up tells Evangeline that if he found another man trying to undress her he’d off the guy 😅 he did not mince words.

And then later on, when Apollo finds her in her room at Chaos’, he starts trying to undress her and Jacks loses it when he finds them 😅 Evangeline stopped him from doing anything because it would obviously hurt her too, but Jacks promises that he’ll off Apollo one day! And then purposefully holds Evangeline as close as he can after Apollo tells him to take his hands off her 😂

He CANNOT help himself!

Jacks, my boy, you have our full support to go feral on Apollo and make him absolutely miserable for all he’s done to your little Fox 💕 We will all squeal with joy!

About jacks’ characterization in ACFTL

spoilers. abound.

I understand people not liking him as much, but what I don’t understand is people thinking he’s acting out of character??

I mean, he was utterly traumatized at the end TBONA. Jacks at that point was already different from him at OUABH. Homeboy was unhinged. He couldn’t stop crying, lashed out at everyone, literally only cared about keeping Evangeline alive.

Eva’s death made him snap.

This is no longer Jacks, the cruel Fate looking for his true love and leaving a trail of dead bodies in his search. This is just Jacks of the Hollow, a boy who happens to be in love with a girl who has a nasty habit of getting in danger, trying to do right by her.

Do I wish we had gotten more scenes? Yes. Absolutely, yes.

Do I wish we had gotten steamier scenes? More descriptive and passionate scenes? Yes. Just one chapter, Stephanie. I’d defer for even just one chapter.

But do I love what we have? Also yes.

This Jacks is so soft because he’s scared to even want Evangeline. Keeping her alive is the only thing that matters to him still. But remember: he’s only ever known how to take and want. Caring about someone and genuinely just wanting what’s best for them is new to him - he’s bound to make some absurd, silly, illogical mistakes along the way!
