Ive actually been trying so hard at trying to figure out why people think qphil doesn’t care about qtubbo, and I mean specifically care nothing else. Cause you can argue tubbo’s not one of his most important people that’s fair, but also you don’t have to be at the top of a list for them to care. It’d also be really hard to argue that he doesn’t trust tubbo, and in that same vein not respect him at all. Their relationship is very complicated, and it is true that it’s way more onesided than people like to admit, but it’s not like Phil has just shown Tubbo zero attention or love. My best guess so far from all I’ve seen it’s because Phil fundamentally doesn’t understand who Tubbo is as a person, and has this very shallow view of him. So people have taken Phil’s mischaracterization of Tubbo as a sign that he doesn’t actually care for the real Tubbo? Idk I like to figure out how fandoms think… (oh also if you have your own ideas why just like tell me I’d love to know)

#I need a deeper reason then they just think Phil doesn’t trust tubbo its something internal #Because care doesn’t equal trust so even if it was that people wouldn’t go straight for that conclusion #Btw to me Phil does care for Tubbo he just doesn’t get Tubbo so he thinks Tubbo already understands that #For example him thinking tubbo has an ego when tubbo has very clear self esteem issues #Which is something most incudling his not very close friends have picked up on #He ignores the obvious about tubbo that break his idea of him #because to him he already knows tubbo so theres no need to seek out a greater understanding #Which is something I think is starting to break more recently if youll allow me to rant #Qsmp #In purgatory Tubbo did not change in any serious moral way and it was unlikely he would even looking at it before hand but phil was so sure #He did from the get go. The idea that tubbo could change so drastically is a heavy misunderstanding of who tubbo is ecause of that I think #Phils starting to realize his idea of Tubbo is off it’s not alligned to the actual person #Qsmp phil #Qsmp tubbo #But phil has bigger things to worry about right now so thats taking the back burner he can worry about the purple stuff only he can see

THE MAGNUS ARCHIVES X DREAM SMP CROSSOVER

ok so I’ve had this idea rumbling around in my head for a good while and i figured now (during the final TMA hiatus, and the beginning of a new dream smp arc) is a good time to start writing this stuff down. THIS IS GONNA HAVE SPOILERS FOR. BOTH OF THE SERIESES BY THE WAY SO. KEEP THAT IN MIND (I’m doing like a timeline thingy). this is also super rambly so if none of this makes sense please keep that in mind LOL

each main character in the DREAM SMP will, by the end of the story, become an avatar of one of the 15 entities (I’m including The Extinction in here for reasons that will be made clear soon). feel free to. challenge me on this OR add some other characters (like Quackity? i know he for sure becomes an avatar of SOMETHING but i cannot figure out what - also Fundy and Nikki) ANYWAYS ONTO THE GOOD STUFF:

TOMMY - AVATAR OF THE DESOLATION: Tommy fully becomes an avatar of the desolation after loosing his discs in the l’manburg war, but even before then, the feeling of loss, and loosing things you love (a feeling that is all too common in a battlefield) was one that struck a different chord in tommy. he...enjoyed it? the feeling spoke to him in a way he was never aware of before, perhaps it was because he was never immersed in such a feeling of terrible desolation, but nevertheless it spoke to him. sooner or later, he would answer its call.

ERET - AVATAR OF THE EYE: the eye has always been deeply interwoven with Eret’s life, so its hard to pinpoint an exact moment where that feeling of being watched began to go both ways. nevertheless, he was already a vessel of the ceaseless watcher by the time l’manburg had declared its independence and the war effort began. he watched the people of l’manburg, and then he watched all the dream smp as king, and now still he watches, because what else is he to do?

DREAM - AVATAR OF THE HUNT: Theres not much explaining to do here. the thrill of the hunt had called to dream when he was young, chasing his friends and having his friends chase him. that thrill only grew stronger and more vicious with age and maturity.

SCHLATT - AVATAR OF THE WEB: since joining the dream smp, Schlatt has always been web aligned. but don’t worry, I’m sure will all work out in the end :)

TUBBO - AVATAR OF THE LONELY: after watching his friend, Tommy, lose himself to the desolation, there was no doubt something had changed between them. they were still friends, commerads, and always will be, but there was now a wall - a place where Tubbo would never understand. at least, thats what Tubbo thought in the back of his mind. the l’manburg elections, however, changed everything. the exile of Tommy and Wilbur, and becoming Schlatt’s right hand man was... unexpected. what was more unexpected, however, was how little Tubbo felt about it. the reality is that Tubbo had been standing alone this whole time - the only change is that now he could see it. of course he helps his friend, because they are still friends, but there will always be the understanding that Tubbo is distant, and away from everything. but its alright, he likes it that way.

TECHNOBLADE - AVATAR OF THE SLAUGHTER:  Techno was first touched by the slaughter when orphans killed his parents. from that moment on, techno seeked out violence and destruction. “blood for the blood god” as he always says.

WILBUR - AVATAR OF THE EXTINCTION: the extinction is a new entity, and of course Wilbur is new to the experience of being touched by such a powerful force of change. Wilbur never really felt that want, need, or calling that other avatars may experience, because the extinction is not quite like the other entities. what Wilbur did feel, however, was a change in himself, a change that he liked. when he was exiled he didn't quite understand that feeling, and even tried to push it away. he still clung desperately to the idea of heroism and good, positive change. at the announcement of the festival, Wilbur began to question that idea of heroism, and with that question his answer became clear. from that point on the destruction of lmanburg was the only thing buzzing through Wilbur's head. the relief he felt when he finally fulfilled that goal was one that left him empty.
