these are from a few months ago but in addition to buggy fallen angel gabe i do have a version of gabriel that's a proper meat-in-a-shell demon. it's the result of hell forcibly throwing him into it's own personal meat grinder pretty much. hungry.

Hey, could I request some William x Fem!Reader where she is a magician and she meets William while performing her magic tricks. After the meeting they become friends.

But later William finds out that she’s actually a witch and can do real magic. She explains him that her role as a magician is not only a way to earn money, but also a cover to hide that she’s a witch because of the possible danger that people might want to burn her alive if they ever found out.

So, she ends up joining William's squad and helps out by using her magic when is required. Eventually, William and Reader starts dating and become a couple.

“Sorcery & Seduction„

William J. Moriarty x F!Reader

— During the golden age of magic where circuses and magicians ranged from small tenting affairs and poor peddlers to gigantic enterprises in amphitheatres and prestigious illusionists, [FEM!READER], a magician who worked in one of the smaller travelling circuses had finally reached Durham.

— With magic and circus being a staple source of entertainment for the people of the Victorian Era, commoners and even nobles had gathered to watch the show. So had William James Moriarty.

— While showing a trick of cards and causing doves to form out of oblivion, [FEM!READER]'s (e/c) eyes fell on a particular set of ruby ones; calculating and observant.

— He sat in the far back, arms crossed and head slightly tilted as one would when thinking - perhaps even dazed with eyes glossed as a spark of flight emerged from [FEM!READER]'s hand and up onto the sky with a flash, soon bursting into lightworks.

— After the show was over, [FEM!READER] and the rest of her crew were busy packing to move onto the next stop.

— William would approach her, a small brooch in hand to thank her for the show since he thoroughly enjoyed it.

— While talking, the two would engage in friendly banter. William would guess the tricks [FEM!READER] had used and [FEM!READER] would be bemused at how he could use such stark logic to back up his points.

— Some tricks, however, he could not bring logic into since [FEM!READER] had actually used magic such as the fireworks & more. Knowing she was hiding something, William became even further intrigued by her.

— The two parted eventually, beginning as strangers to friends by the end. Days passed after [FEM!READER] and her crew had left Durham and he thought of her and her secrets endlessly.

— William would one day be getting ready to assassinate a corrupt noble, following him into the dead of the night since the rest of the group were assigned other different tasks.

— Imagine his initial shock when he saw [FEM!READER] using her magic to fend herself from the corrupt noble's violently perverse advances towards her. William would get the job done, killing him off in a hushed manner.

— The two would exchange secret for secret, both threatening to use one secret after the other if the two didn't pour their hearts out right at the moment.

— At the end, William would offer [FEM!READER] a place to stay in his residence at the Moriarty Manor back in Durham in exchange for her loyalty and abilities to be able to torpefy anybody she wished at the flick of her wrist.

— Being two people with deep secrets, William and [FEM!READER] grew closer, exchanging secrets. She would tell William about how being a magician was a facade, both to ensure her safety as a witch and to gain a means for survival and shelter as well.

— The rest of the group were wary of [FEM!READER] at first, keeping their distance from you and isolating you from their plans.

— However, after noticing how soft William had become towards [FEM!READER] after sharing each and every secret he had to her along with using her powers as a witch to the best of her abilities ranging from life-threatening missions to just having something of use levitate to them, such as a cup of tea, the group begin to finally accept her as one of them. They were a family, after all. And now? She was too.

— William would find himself longing for [FEM!READER], thoughts going over to her immediately after he woke up, following her even to the kitchen as you got yourself a glass of liquid to quench her thirst, making sure to keep her entertained and keep his intentions to potentially woo her a secret by indulging in conversations about everything and nothing at once.

— [FEM!READER] would eventually melt, too. Secret glances would be shared across the room during meetings and everytime your gazes locked, William, still in the middle of assigning tasks would gasp at being caught and sputter into a fit of coughs - looking flushed. Moran and James who read the room early on both would be teasing him endlessly.

— Having both share romantic affections towards each other, William would be the first to make a move (After making sure [FEM!READER] liked him back just the same way), starting from small actions to placing his hand on the small of her back to guide her through the bustling streets of England to buying you expensive gifts and jewellery.

— Eventually, he chooses to confess his romantic feelings to her. With the help of Louis, his younger brother, he prepares a candle-lit dinner for the two on a vast green horizon, away from the eyes of any people, the moon and the stars illuminating William's tender smile and his gentle red irises as he speaks of his love towards [FEM!READER].

— When [FEM!READER] and William return with their arms interlinked and a beautiful necklace on her neck, the group stops what they're doing and rushes over to the doorstep where the two of them had only set a foot in, cheering being heard even yards and yards away.

— [FEM!READER] flushes in embarassment at the sudden spotlight on them, hiding her face in William's shoulder. William seems rather smug about all this and places a gentle hand around her hip. Although the tint of pink on his ears do not go unnoticed by her alone.

allegrettango, i.e. how to do jerma strat and win (weaponless)

This particular fist% fight is dedicated to @bemused-illusionist, whose fic sparked in me the need to spend more time dancing with Gabriel. Read it.

Nerd essay about music and gameplay under the cut

Music: Allegrettango, a Karl Jenkins arrangement of Beethoven's 7th Symphony. Beethoven 7 is also the piano music you hear in the cutscene after this fight!

This arrangement is interesting specifically because it's a tango — a dance! And without weapons this fight absolutely becomes a partner dance, leading Gabe around the hall as you sidestep his attacks.

Technically in ballroom dancing the person walking "forwards" is the lead, so here V1/the player would be "following". That isn't to say that Gabe is the one in control of the stage here though despite what he might think; I'm simply being pedantic about terminology.

There is a lot of emphasis on spatial control in this fight, since Gabe will throw swords only if you are a certain distance away, and will always lunge/teleport towards or behind you. Simply dodging his attacks is one thing, but it's another thing entirely to get Gabe to react to you the way you want him to, i.e. control/influence his movement with your own.

And, is that not a most succinct description of what dance is? Communication of intent, expression of self and will through movement. You learn and react to Gabe's movement, becoming an equal participant in the conversation through the language of dance. fellas, it's gay — is shot

The voicing in the music is also interesting to me, as it's rather single timbred, very even and consistent.

This contrasts with this arrangement being a tango, a dance typically associated with dramatic, vibrant colours. It would make sense to expect more variance in vocal tone quality, more liveliness.

However, this (almost) perfect consistency brings to mind a different feeling — that it's unnatural. It's out of this world, produced by entities free from statistical and random error. The tone quality in the choir (nasal and bright roof-of-mouth sound) is also very similar to the voicing used in OSTs denoting divinity/heavenly beings. God. Angels. Unknowable entities.

So, who knows. Maybe after his dance with V1, Gabe decides to teach the council how to dance, too. With decidedly deadly results.
