okay so i just finished The Sun and The Star and thus am plagued with thoughts of demigod au’s so here are some of the thoughts:

(some of this is also inspired by The Star Seekers lore and what not)

Yeonjun: okay so,,,i’m kinda torn between child of ares and child of aphrodite. on the one hand there’s that firey almost aggressive drive and ambition. his agility and strength pose a threat on both the battlefield and the dance floor. then there’s also his,,looser temper. however, a lot of that can also translate over as a child of aphrodite. his intense passion and overwhelming compassion. his love and passion for performing such a prime motivator to continue pushing himself. a huge heart with so much love for all those in his life. Not to mention his interests in fashion and beauty and creating statements with clothes (or his flirting on weverse). children of aphrodite do also have their snappy moments as well. which is why i’ll say Yeonjun is a Child of Aphrodite.

Soobin: okay, so, i was actually having a rEALLY hard time with soobin. originally i thought perhaps athena, natural-born leader, but that didn’t feel entirely right. then maybe hephaestus? but definitely not right either. Demeter is a little too child-of-the-earth for him and Iris just doesn’t seem to work. Of course in Star Seekers soobin is an archer, but even Apollo doesn’t feel right. It was only after talk with someone else that it kind of settled where he belonged. Now, it’s be a little weird for a demigod to be unfit for the domain of their parent, but it’s not uncommon. In fact, many children’s mortal parents will actually instill fear of their godly parents element as though it will keep them safe. It’s odd that soobin, despite his inability to swim, comes across most accurately as a child of poseidon. however, the sea is equal parts powerful and terrifying and calm and comforting. a gentle giant, an imperfect leader, introverted and rarely commanding, but caring and willing in all of the ways needed. he reflects well in the push and pull of the tides. plus, getting the entire cabin to himself is kinda perfect. also, horse girl soobin 🤷 thus ends my long-winded, hard-to-decipher reasoning as to why i think Soobin is Child of Poseidon.

Beomgyu: gyu’s very base disposition is rather quiet and muted when you aren’t as close. as soon as you get to peel back layers you find the playfulness everyone talks about. Teasing is a form of affection yet he’s never devoid of kindness and a warm smile. Despite his nature as an introvert, he’s a very good addition to any welcoming committee. Also, the intelligence of children of Hermes is so often undermined despite them being incredibly resourceful and smart, both traits of Beomgyu’s that are commonly ignored. He has a compassion and sense of empathy that aligns well with those who take in all travelers, all those lost or forgotten. somewhat similar to a lost boy, beomgyu finds friends and family in everyone, with time of course. Hence why i think Beomgyu is a Child of Hermes

Taehyun: in an effort to not reduce Taehyun in to the tired “only braincell” stereotype, i wanted to avoid categorizing him under Athena. And after some consideration, i have come to a conclusion. Tyun is smart, he’s seen to be a very logical thinker and seems to have a lot of trivial knowledge. He has great emotional intelligence and physical strength. In any case, he would be able to fight a battle with both brain AND brawn. He’s an eloquent speaker with a dry sense of humor and a teasing nature. It’s a wonderful encapsulation of both a scholar and a fighter; someone known for knowledge AND strength on the battlefield. It’s often forgotten that those are both things honored in Athena’s name as the goddess of knowledge and warfare. Therefore, i think it’s very fitting to place Taehyun as a Child of Athena

Hueningkai: i think it’s really often forgotten that hueningkai is quite literally a musical prodigy. Drums, Guitar, piano, & vocals!!! Like that one clip of him casually playing Beethoven while talking about pikachu stickers ?!?!?? not to mention his almost sunshine-like disposition. there’s absolutely zero question as to whose kid he is. sure,,he could stand to improve his first-aid skills but, in times of need, there is no better quality than his compassion for every person in need. however, not even training from his father himself could save Kai’s archery skills 💀 of course, all of the members are incredibly talented artists, but Kai’s musicianship is on such a level i have no choice but to say he must be a Child of Apollo.

TXT & Anime Cons

pairing: bf!txt x fem!reader

summary: how I think the members of TXT would be if you took them to an anime convention // word count: 1957

note: I got to attend an anime con this year (2022) and it was so crazy good! I struggled not to splurge so much 😭 (so many cool small business and creators) Enjoy and please reblog/leave feedback if you liked it!

oh mannnn, THIS GUY OH BOY

Y’all already know he loves anime so much

When you invited him to attend a con with you, he was beyond excited

He’s always wanted to go to one ever since he got into anime

Plus something tells me he also has been wanting a reason to buy a cosplay outfit but didn’t have an excuse to buy one

Bonus, he wants to do a couple cosplay with you 🥰

Best boy soobin yall

Obviously you agree and now he’s x10 more excited to go with you

On the day of, he’s up before you and wearing the cosplay

along with packing things you guys might need while y’all there

when you finally wake up and are ready, he drags you to the car

you guys get there safely and check-in

walking in, y’all walk around admiring all of the artists & cosplayers

he’s kind of shy but you know which cosplayers he’d like to take pictures with

so you end up asking for him

if they say yes then you’re the one snapping pictures of him

it’s really cute and cool seeing all of these cosplayers come out

especially with cosplayers from jjk

they never fail to amaze you with how they made them or how long it took to make them

anyhow continuing to seeing all of the booths

Soobin looks at the things with stars in his eyes

you both struggle not to overspend

emphasis on struggle

all I will say is you two walk out with either a bunch of art work or wearable merch

the overall experience 10/10

yeonjun

takes a deep breath in

y’all know yeonjun isn’t into anime but after begging & messing with him, he says yes

you cannot tell me that yeonjun isn’t one to get jealous or slightly possessive over you

like imagine telling him about the weird creeps at the cons and such

that’s all he needs to hear before agreeing to go with you

unfortunately your tactics can only get you so far

apparently not enough to get him to wear a couple cosplay with you

so he’ll opt for dressing stylishly (as he does)

on the morning of the con, he sees you all dolled up in your cosplay

manz might not know too much but he loves seeing you all dressed up

he knows how long you’ve been wanting for cons to start up since the pandemic

yeonjun stares at your confident smile and body language that screams excitement

it’s like you were made to shine for this moment

now he’s just staring at you the way you stare at him when he’s performing

this is his little aha moment as to why you love going to anime cons and doing cosplay now

before you two head out, he can’t help but make you do an impromptu photoshoot

he just wants to show off to everyone how cool you are

after that, you guys head there and he’s not going to lie

it is quite chaotic and overstimulating but he gets used to it

learning to stay close to you or else he’ll get lost

every few minutes, someone will ask to take a picture with you

you’ll say yes and have yeonjun take the picture

he’ll be on edge as he knows some people like to get a too comfortable and start to pull inappropriate moves

if or when he catches someone, he’ll tell them off and that’s the end of the story

moving on, because he doesn’t fully understand the appeal of anime yet he’s just following you around like a puppy

you find it cute and squeeze his hand as a thanks for coming with you

he does appreciate all of the artists out here having their own spot and what they make

while of course he’s a performer, he knows how to appreciate all forms of art

every so often, he has to drag you away from a stand because he knows you’d give all of your money to them

he does end up bumping into a couple of MOAs and they’re surprised to see him here

given that yk he’s not into anime but then he points to you

to which you shyly wave hi and greet them

at the end of the con, with the things that you bought

Yeonjun is holding them and slightly complaining but we all know he doesn’t really mean it

if he could, he’d be the one spoiling you all day and every day

Yeonjun’s rating: a 7/10

beomgyu

I have no idea if beomgyu likes anime but he gives me vibes that he’s a subtle lover of it

he’d definitely couple cosplay with you

okay okay b/c I am biased to wolf cut and highlight beomgyu

I’m going to give him the cosplay of Miyamura from horimiya

LIKE COME ON?? he’d rock that cosplay

anyhow, he likes it a lot because the costume is subtle but still cosplay yk?

you and beomgyu have an entire photoshoot before and during the con

oh, I forgot to mention it probably doesn’t take a lot out of you to convince him to go with you

he loves seeing you all excited and happy, so if going with you makes you happy then what else more does he need to hear?

when you guys get to the convention, you have to make sure you’re the one not losing beomgyu

for some reason, he gives off the type of person to befriend anyone

knowing that, you turn around a couple of times when you’re walking to ensure he is there

unfortunately you still manage to lose sight of him

one second you’re holding hands together and he’s behind you

the next, he’s talking to someone about their cosplay and getting to know about their character

luckily, gyu is never too far from you

it’s actually kind of cute watching him interact with them

omg naurrr it’s even cuter when he interacts with little kids all decked out

the way he gives his undivided attention to them and seeing their eyes shine as they talk about their cosplay

you can’t help but giggle and snap videos of it to tease him about it later

eventually you approach them and join them in their conversations

and watching them connect the dots that you two are a couple and doing a cosplay together

it blows their minds and running up to their parents to share their findings

truly impossible not to curl up into a ball right then and there

just as you find him interacting with kids cute, he thinks that you’re even cuter around them

moving onnnn, he doesn’t have to make sure you don’t overspend or at least he doesn’t think so

and besides it is your money and life so who is he to stop you from spending your own money

THATS MF RIGHT YALL GET YOU A MAN LIKE BEOMGYU

I feel like Gyu would be interested in seeing people’s performances on stage whether they be musical performances or showing off one’s skills

I can also imagine him walking up to the band performers after their performance to see if they could show a couple chords

and get their info because he thinks that they’re cool

taehyun

He’s another member I’m not too sure if he likes anime or not

but I can tell that he would not do a couples cosplay with you <3

he loves you but not that much 🤧

Very much interested/intrigued in the mechanics behind

goes to people who put their everything into the cosplay to hear how they do it

no because I cans see him getting excited over super well done cosplays and looking at you for like permission to go talk to them

he’s so cute what to do and you’re like of course and accompany too

his eyes shine hearing all about the behind the scenes of the cosplay

also gets dope pictures with them because it’s truly amazing

anyways, he likes to explore all of the artists and asking you if you’d like anything from them

bonus points whenever he points out your favorite anime or the characters from a booth

might spoil you a bit lowkey

as cheesy as it sounds but seeing you happy makes him happy

gets the tiniest bit of jealous whenever good looking people start asking to take pictures with you

but then get over it b/c you wouldn’t leave him for them

and yk wears his signature confident smile

sometimes he’ll wear a smirk whenever it’s a really attractive person… because you’re his and not theirs

anywhoooo

he treats you some food there and you’re like he must be a godsend because food do be expensive

after eating, he’ll offer to take some photos for you since you guys didn’t really take any before leaving

you can’t tell me he didnt sneak in a couple of selfies for fun

at the end of the con, you ask him how it was for him

his rating: 7/10 (a point taken off because the food was too expensive 💀)

but would definitely go again to see more cool cosplays

maybe even inspire him to pick up a new hobby

as if he needs to even more talented at something

goodbye he beat you to asking about going the con first

totally didn’t get upset about it for a few minutes because you had planned out this cute way to ask him 😭

of course you said yes and then proceeded to scream over it because omg you guys are finally going to an anime con

you both talked about going to one when it was safer to go out due to the pandemic

sharing similar music tastes helped get you two together but honestly speaking watching and bonding over anime was the real relationship helper

his soft spot for you doesn’t allow him to say no to re-watching the same (comfort) animes and after re-watching them x number of times, he couldn’t help but fall in love with them too

he and you didn’t even need to ask each other about going as a couple cosplay or not

simply because the answer of course was yes, a million times yes

now the question was who to go as…

something tells me that you two had to make a little presentation about who to go as and why

yk to just spice things a little bit

in the end, he ended up winning </3 (sorry he says while pumping his fist in the air & a smile plastered on his face)

it didn’t take long to get the cosplay, but you two wanted to go the extra mile & add personal touches to it

something also tells me that you guys had a photoshoot before the event to tease people that you guys were going to be there and because y’all felt so cool in cosplay

on the day of the event, as expected y’all run into many fans and have so much talking to them

you’re appreciative of them for being supportive, however there were a few people giving you dirty glances but you brushed it off

there was nothing you could do and besides it wasn’t really a you problem to be dealing with other peoples’ opinion that they had on you

anyhow, you guys definitely splurged

in your defense, they were really cute (I rest my case)

you both had a lot of fun going together and interacting with people

super crazy to see how the shared love for anime brings people together 🥺

hueningkai’s rating: 10/10 (a no brainer rating)

note. guess who’s back with the boyfriend beomgyu agenda and more content for you all!!!! this is a bit self-indulgent but who cares, i love this ୧⁠(⁠＾⁠��⁠〰⁠ ⁠＾⁠)⁠୨

If Beomgyu continued to stare at you like a hawk, you would already drop dead right then and there; you were convinced that the sheer force of his stare would be enough to knock you off your feet. If laser eyes were a thing, you’d already be a puddle on the floor by now. After all, you were just simply applying chapstick.

The chapstick Beomgyu bought for you.

Beomgyu’s voice broke the creeping silence that enveloped the both of you, breaking the unbearable thoughts you were thinking of, “Hey.”

“What flavor is that?” He continued.

And yes, the playful glint in his eyes wasn't left unnoticed by you.

You blinked at him in surprise, momentarily stunned by him. His question caught you off guard, especially with all his attention now on you. And now, you’re just realizing how intense his gaze was on you this whole time, and you couldn’t help but be flustered at that thought. Seriously, you applied that chapstick more than once, but today, it felt like a performance worthy of an oscar with Beomgyu’s stare.

You stammered, “Uhm… Well, you got it for me a few weeks ago, remember?”

An ear-to-ear grin tugged at the corner of his lips, and before you could even process this whole situation, Beomgyu crashed his lips onto yours with full force that left you breathless, shaken, and your heart racing for a few minutes. His lips molded into yours with such sensation that you lost the track of time, lost in the intoxicating sensation of his lips against yours.

You pull back slightly, breathless and in a flustered state before you stare at him wide-eyed and ask, “What was that for?”

Beomgyu just gives you another grin, and the familiar twinkle in his eyes is back as he leans in for another heated kiss, “I had to confirm my flavor theory, didn’t I?”

You can’t help but chuckle lightly at his words as you playfully swatted his arms, pushing him back slightly to reject his kiss. “You’re ridiculous, Gyu, y’know that?”

“Ridiculously in love with you, yes. but I suppose with my detective skills aside, it’s not like we often kiss for me not to figure it out,” Beomgyu quips, his voice dripping with absolute charm.

With your mouth still lingering from the kiss earlier, you managed to still tease him between breaths, your cheeks flushed, “You really know how to catch a person off-guard, huh?”

“Well, a surprise attack is always a tried-and-true strategy,” Beomgyu says with the grin still evident on his face, looking like a complete fool struck by cupid’s bow, with hearts surrounding him and everything.

He continues, his hands dropping on your waist, kneading the cloth-covered skin like a masseur with his voice dropping just a little low, exclusive for you to hear, “Besides, you haven’t kissed me at all this whole day, baby.”

You can never get tired of Beomgyu. Speaking of, you’re deathly in for a ride.

☆ TXT AND THINGS THEY DO THAT MAKE YOU QUESTION WHAT YOU TWO ARE

☆ YEONJUN

constantly keeping his hand on your waist. such an action may seem futile and unnoticeable considering yeonjun’s the one doing it, but it still makes you confused. yeonjun’s known to be flirty, a literal heartthrob wherever he goes. he’s also very touchy, easily hugging someone or putting his arm around their shoulder. but it’s only truly with you that he lets his hand rest on your hip, finger hooked into one of your jeans’ belt loops.

at first he started doing it at parties, after finding you in the crowd, arms circling your waist to keep you from getting lost in the wave of people. it continued at normal hangouts, laughing alongside his friends as his fingers fiddled with the hem of your top. then it happened when you two were alone, lounging on your couch while watching a movie. there wasn’t anything or anybody he had to protect you from, but he still slid his hand between the backrest and your body until you were practically glued to his side, his arm comfortably holding onto your waist.

you’re not sure why he does it; maybe to show others you’re not available– you are though, or to purposely tease you and make your heart skip a beat– something that already happens a lot in his presence. but one thing you know for sure is, it certainly doesn’t help your already weak heart.

☆ SOOBIN

being oddly protective of you. soobin is the least confrontational person you know, so it didn’t surprise you when he kept his mouth shut as one of your classmates teased him in class. that’s initially how you two became friends, him nursing your wounded fist after you punched the bully right in the nose for calling him a lanky nerd. 5th grade sure was wild. the following years, soobin tried his best to defend you like you defended him back in the day but again, he’s the least confrontational person you know. however, his best friend-instincts took over him when a guy tried to hike up your dress at the graduation party. you nursed his wounded fist after and the two of you became even closer. after the “fight of the century” soobin swore to himself he would protect you. at first, you found it funny, trying to stop yourself from blushing when he would raise his voice at whoever decided to bother you that day. you don’t really know when it started but with each new time, his best-friend protection act would slowly turn into something that held a lot more feelings than just platonic ones. the way he would look at you to see if you were alright, or the way his hand would slid into yours, or even the one time he called you his partner instead of his best friend. everything was slowly changing, and you didn’t even know if soobin was even aware of it himself.

☆ BEOMGYU

calls you his girlfriend. the first time he did it, you thought he was just joking around, trying to tease you. so you laughed it off, attempting to hide the way your heart fluttered at the thought of you being his actual girlfriend. but the second time, a week or so later, you were even more confused. did beomgyu think you two had something going on? did he find out about your old crush on him? you really didn’t know why he started calling you his girlfriend, since none of his other actions showed he felt anything except platonic feelings for you. he stopped after the fourth time, after he noticed your disoriented and clearly disheartened expression. weeks passed and not once did beomgyu explain his old but short habit to you. but then, months later, when you had almost forgotten about the whole ordeal, beomgyu did it again. to be honest, him calling you his girlfriend that time was in fact beneficial for you– you refused to talk any longer to the creep begging for your number. but the way the word rolled off his tongue, a hint of arrogance and a ton of proudness, made you reach for his hand, acting like the role he had assigned you. tension followed after, for weeks, and your heart continued to long for him. if only you knew you were the only thing on his mind whenever someone said the word “girlfriend”.

☆ TAEHYUN

constantly buys you things. it may seem shallow at first, but whenever taehyun brings you a small trinket or whatever food you were craving at that moment, your heart fills with joy. it’s not the way he spends money for you, but the way he looks at you when he gives it to you, eyeing you to see your neutral expression change into a happy one. taehyun’s a great listener, so he knows all your orders and favorite things by heart, which only makes it easier for him to empty his bank account for you. he swears you’re not special, or at least not more important than the rest of his friends– for whom he rarely ever buys anything– but he can’t really stop his brain from thinking of you when he sees something pretty or tasty at the mall. the dainty necklace around your neck is the literal proof of his favoritism towards you. he had given it to you on your graduation and you hadn’t taken it off since. it was a symbol for your friendship, he said, something to remember the many years you spent together, but the shiny “T” letter pendant made your heart swell every time you felt it against your skin. in all truth, taehyun was just waiting for you to notice the letter pendant of your name he wore on his necklace and hid, carefully, under his shirt collar.

☆ HUENING KAI

he constantly mentions you two in his future. you and kai have been friends since the two of you were in diapers and basically experienced all your first together. spending all those years together, in the same neighborhood, school and friend groups lead to many talks about your futures, sometimes wiping anxious tears away or doubling over from laughter at the mention of so many possibilities. it was a normal thing for you two, getting together and just talking about whatever would be on your mind at that moment. every conversation was different but one thing never changed, the way huening kai wouldn’t forget to mention you in his future plans. he would have pictured everything out, you two living next to each other in your own homes, working across the street from each other, adopting pets at the same time so they could be friends, meeting every friday for a ramen and movie night… whenever you were worried about what the future prepared for you, kai would comfort you, reminding you that no matter what happened later, he would always be there. it always reassured you but unfortunately, you never had the guts to tell him that you’d prefer to live together later, spend your work lunch breaks together, adopt a pet together, and turn every night into a movie marathon.

RANDOM HEADCANONS. txt as husbands!

YEONJUN...

gets drunk and goes to sleep at your neighbour's place because he thought that was your house.

you had to drag him by the ears.

cries to you about how much he loves you and how he would not be able to live if you didn't say yes to marry him.

tries to take out all the wedding albums and cries while pointing at pictures.

had a full on hiccup session after seeing a picture of soobin and him on his bachelor's ramen get together where they were egging beomgyu.

SOOBIN...

refuses to throw away his waifu body pillows.

"bABE listen TO ME THEY MAKE WONDERFUL PILLOWS AND THEY ARE CHEAP."

tries to watch animes with you and gets uncomfortable when babes with anime racks on screen, fumbling to turn the screen off and if he can't do that—

holds your hand and makes you face all while the anime boobs were jiggling and defying all three rules of gravity,

"babe your pair is the most beautiful pair to me."

BEOMGYU...

whips out his phone and starts recording you fighting another person in the whole foods section in the grocery to get the last discounted item.

screams 'world star' while recording.

totally hypes you up but when he sees the other person's husband approaching

quickly gets a hold of you, and your cart and power walks away before he gets his own ass beaten.

TAEHYUN...

refuses to ask for directions.

at any cost. like he can't believe you would ask him to ask anyone for directions in this modern world of google map and self driven cars.

nastily side eyes you when you suggest that to him.

like a full on.

The thing is, being fresh out of university and moving out of the dorms into a small studio is quite a problem when you’re a clothes fanatic such as yeonjun. So, to earn some money beside his job and keep his closet in order, he opens an account on some popular secondhand online shops. Yeonjun likes showing off his new finds to you, excitedly telling you about the deal he managed to get, how happy he is to finally get his hands on said item and upon seeing your soft smile, kissing you on the temple and whispering how he’ll make sure you two match.
