Ok, what if

Oswald was about to confess to Ed for the bajillionth time but he backs off halfway through and asks for romantic advice for an imaginary love interest instead.

“Ed.. these past few months, there’s been something I’ve been meaning to tell you.. I’ve discovered an aspect of myself I never thought I’d find. What with our, line of work and all. But fortune smiled upon me, you see.”

Genuinely curious, “Ooh... and what did you find, Oswald?”

Curling his trembling hands into fists, he waves them in the air by the sides of his chest. “I think, I’ve found someone and.. I have ample reason to admit.. that I’ve fallen in love.”

And Ed’s brain crashes.

Oswald hesitates when he notices Ed staring blankly at him, backs out when the doubt hits (again). He decides to ask Ed for advice instead, trying to wave away the awkward situation (and totally failing).

“He’s... wonderful, and-and intelligent. Um, he doesn’t see me yet... not as I see him. So... What should I do?” He rubs his thumbs over the palms behind his back, trying not to appear too anxious. Oswald relaxes when Edward responds by pushing up his glasses. (His mind is probably still a blue screen of death).

“You’ve always been a romantic at heart, Ed, how do you woo someone?” Maybe Oswald could spin this to his favor, pick up some ideas and learn more about Edward’s romantic preferences for the time being.

“Well.. what, what is he like?” Ed crosses his arms, scratches his ear, looks away, finding the floor very interesting. (And right now, he is f e e l i n g things and he doesn’t know why)

“Oh, you know, he’s thoughtful, and smart...”

I could be smarter.

“His smile could... light up a room!” He chuckles, waving his hands in the air.

I could smile brighter.

“Truthfully, I’ve never felt like this before, Ed. No one has ever made me feel the way he does. He’s the only one...” Oswald just drops bits and pieces of his heart hoping Ed would see under the veil, but Ed is still staring at him like that. Oswald plays it off with a laugh and a dismissive wave of a hand.

“Perhaps we could discuss in length my future romantic pursuits some other time. Maybe you could... give me some tips? Like what you do with Isabelle.” He doesn’t actually want to hear about Isabelle. He just wants to hide in his room and scream his voice hoarse about his stupid cowardice into a pillow, maybe smash a vase or two. Just disappear into his bedsheets and hope this awkward moment would be over soon.

Meanwhile, Ed is fraying at the edges, wringing his hands together, smile pinched and nod swift. “Okie dokie.”

“Yes, yes, now you best be off with dear Isabelle!” Oswald clasps his hands together jovially. Ed doesn’t correct him.

“Of course, yes. We have plans about.. plans.”

Oswald pats his arm amicably and with that he disappears into his room, a very confused Ed in his wake.

Ok im just weak for a jealous, pining, oblivious, in-denial Edward and a withdrawn lovelorn yet vicious Oswald.

Watch them dance in our shipper’s thrall. Suffer.

Ok, i'm going to repeat myself from another post at some point, but don't care, ii need take this out of my system (sorry in advance for the long post)...

When i read somewhere, that the producers said "Ed and Os will have good times in this next season" i was so excited cuz Nygmob reasons (obviously), but then, this appeared...

And of course, THIS:

Now i think we've been ... Gotham'ed (or something like that) and the interaction between Ed and Os won´t be the one many of us expect (just to not say the one i´ve been personally begging for, all this time since... always lol)... but i can't wait for this new relationship either (this photo with them both smiling is life, you can clearly see how much Robin loves animals and how much animals feel the same way about him).

I bet Edward the human (i´m saying this completely on purpose, lol) will be so mad when he finds out which is Oswald´s new best friend´s name, lol, and that makes my inner villain laugh and rub their hands mischievously BUT my inner Nygmob shipper anxious at the same time cuz yeah, i love this ship too much for my own good (is a serious addiction, i promise) and i want them to be on good terms once and for all... preferably if by those “good terms” we include some wedding rings and church bells and adopting Martin and all, lol, but that´s just me with my undying cheesy hope and burning love for them as the canon ship they are... and you know it Gotham! you can´t convince anyone on the contrary! they are canon and you know it! just say it already you cowards! stop playing with our feels! ...ahem,...sorry for that, just consequences for having an OTP i ship furiously, like i didn´t do since a very long time, lol... #RegretNothing though.

Now, with this new information/photos, i was thinking about Os and his more important relationships along the seasons (doesn´t matter from which type are they):

S1.- First his mom and Jim

S2.- Then his dad (surprisingly, a very good father... i miss him), his mom and Ed... and a bit with Jim too (i love Jimbo, but he was a real bastard with Pengy at Arkham, not cool Jimmy, not cool)

S3.- Then Ed (one of the most important for a lot of reasons -for good and for bad-, along with Ozzy´s parents relationship with him, by that moment) and of course, his freak family, especially with Ivy. *EDIT* i'll add Fish Mooney at this point, cuz her subtle influence over Oswald along the season, with words first, then when she saved his life and finally, cuz her death.

S4.- Then Martin, oh, and Sofia (she betrayed him, but she also played very well about being his BFF from the very beginning too, so, yeah, that counts even if that don´t make me happy, lol, cuz she hurt him by playing with his mind and feelings and that´s just a big NOPE in my book, not again plz *cofyepyouareguiltytheretooEdcof*)

S5 (i really hope not the last one).- Finally (apparently, for now) this one with Edward the dog (is so funny that i need to have cleared that i´m refering to a cute smiling doggie and not to the tall green-suited human, lol... Is like the Victors dilemma all over again).

I mean, Oswald has had a lot of meaningful relationships along the seasons/history/his early life as a villain/mob boss and that is a very good point to remember when think about him as a character/person/main antagonist and his general behavior, present and future (he´s a very complex character indeed... nothing new to know for the fandom, just make sense about why has been so fascinating to stay tunned about him and his path... and why i want him to be happy and fully succesful, just for once).

So, Ozzy had a family and a “BFF” (or his first deep -and endless- crush, whatever you want to think Jimmy is for the dear Ozzy, lol). When he lost both, Gotham gave him a father but he lost him, so they gave him a new BFF-and-soon-to-be-the-love-of-his-life; but Gotham made Os lose that too, so now they gave him a son/apprentice, that apparently Ozzie still has but he is apart from him for his own insurance... finally (for now, i hope) they will give our dear Penguin a true loyal and lovable ally to stay by his side, and, to be honest, i NEED this to go like that TO THE VERY END OF THE SEASON, so Gotham, don´t you dare hurt that lil cute doggie, ok? DON´T.YOU.DARE!!! Just keep him safe and happy, by Ozzy´s side FOREVER, thanks.

And.... that´s all, now all this mess of thoughts are out of my system and i can go silent once more as the introvert cat i am. Thank you if you kept reading until this moment.
