1. I told sunset about you

Coming of age story, denial of feelings cinematography and chemistry to die for. It will forever have a place in my heart. I can't explain exactly what it means to me

2. Not me

I am obsessed with the social and political commentary in this series, we reached levels never seen before and which I don't think we will ever reach again

3. The Eighth Sense

I felt like The Eight Sense offered me therapy and a way to relieve all my dark thoughts in a safer manner. It was like being seen and rearranged and told you can do better and become better and there will always be someone who understands, even after your mistakes even after you feel like you lost your way. You can still have hope and believe, you can always try.

4. Semantic Error

It's just iconic, all the scenes, the acting. I can't ever get away from it. The Hyung, the Yaya time, God I love enemies to lovers.

5. Sense8

It was the most Queer Show I ever saw. That's it. No explanation, everyone go watch it and be amazed.

6. Moonlight Chicken

It's a tale about people and learning to love and family. It was beautifully woven and written.

7. My School President

I think what makes MSP so very comforting is how they managed to interwine together the story .Because it's just not a love story, it's about chasing your dreams and not stopping even when you fail, it's about friendship and overcoming difficulties together, it's about family and how to care for them, it's about how important support is, how important understanding and unconditional support can be. How much having someone who has your back can change everything. And waiting and love and respect. Because I feel like this show is full of all kinds of LOVE : family, friendship and dreams

8. Word of Honor

Well villains having lost the will to live having a reason to again? Devotion? Self-sacrifice? Found family? That's the best kind of tale for me

9. 3 Will Be Free

Polyamory, transgender representation, strong-willed women. I will love it for eternity.

Honorable mentions

Yuri on Ice. That's the best sports anime for me. The show I need when anxiety seems insurmountable and I can't see my way out

Be My Favorite. Still ongoing but it already has a place in my heart. Time traveling shenanigans and learning yourself and accept who you are and to be brave and to love

Beyond Evil. Well on paper it is a "bromance" but I have never yelled "Babygirl you wanna fuck him so bad it makes you look stupid" at a show more.

Favorite Thai BL: What an evil question to ask! You're getting more than one, because I can't choose, and idgaf: Love in the Air, Between Us, KinnPorsche.

Current Obsession: Love in the Air. I can't shake it off, and I hope I never do.

Favorite Pairing: PayuRain, WinTeam

Most underrated actor: Eh, don't really have an opinion about that.

Favorite Character: Too many to name. Let's go with Win and Payu because HOT DAMN.

Favorite Side Character: Any character played by Sammy or Poppy, probably.

Favorite scene in a BL: So, so many. But for a specific one, probably this:

King of Consent? Check. Win's sexy voice? Double check. Their BREATHING and TREMBLING? Triple fucking check.

Favorite line in a BL: Again, too many to count. I generally love anything that screams explicit consent/checking, anything gloriously bitchy, or anything bratty. All the lines calling out the industry etc. in Lovely Writer come to mind.

Most Anticipated BL (& why): Nothing right now.

Healthiest relationship in a BL: Probably WinTeam, because c'mon now. It just IS.

Most toxic relationship in a BL: Don't know, don't care. If it's fiction, I don't give a fuck how toxic it is.

Guilty pleasure series: I FULLY reject the term 'guilty pleasure', because why the fuck should I feel guilty about something that brings me pleasure? But for the sake of answering the damn question: TharnType, Don't Say No, Why R U?, probably others too, but my memory is TRASH.

Three Ships 🚢

Okay, my alltime favorite ship will be VeeMark – I live for their chemistry. The story, well it was not that outstanding, but as someone who is crushing hard on War, I guess the ship is understandable. PhuTian. Does this need any explanation? EarthMix are the kings of longingly chemistry for me and I love the story of Phupha and Tian so much. They touch my heart and I love them. And of course, TinnGun. They live in my head rent free at the moment. I love everything about them and their relationship. It is so wholesome to watch. So yeah, I like chemistry. If there is no such thing for me, I won’t like the ship and most of the times the series. And chemistry is not only the tension or sexual attraction, it is just how the characters work together, how they communicate, what feeling they can manage to put into my poor cold heart.

First Ship 🚢

If we speak about bl, than I have to say PatPran. Bad Buddy was my downfall. After that, there was no going back to my usual media. But my first ship ever…The one I can think of right now is Brian x Justin from Queer as Folk. I still love them and guess I will for the rest of my life.

Last Song 🎧

I am listening to music at this moment. The last song was Candy by NCT Dream and right now plays Aurora by ONEWE. I love both to an unhealthy amount. Candy is just feel good music and Aurora awakens the deep urge in me to sing out loud from the bottom of my lungs.

Last Movie 🍿

I have watched a movie yesterday, which only my best friend knows about. It is one of the most plotless shits I have ever seen. So no, I will go with Tinted With You the movie version and try to forget the other one exists. But this was a really sweet history drama. Liked it.

I have like five books I started reading, but I can’t finish them. So I am going with I am reading nothing at the moment.

10 BL Boys That I Want Carnally

Thx for the tag @thegalwhorants and @waitmyturtles! It's funny how whenever I do these games every BL man I have ever drooled over immediately leaves my mind, lol. I'm sure I'm missing people who would make a great addition to this list. But in no particular order…

1. Sand and 2. Ray

I’m including them as a pair because they come as one. Together or separately, both characters are 🔥 and I would die for either of them in my own way. Do I want them carnally? 100%, absolutely, without a doubt. I would commit arson for them. I would burn down mount Olympus for them. I would take a dip in the river Styx for them. (Can you tell I’m in my Percy Jackson phase rn?)

3. Mork

He’s the ideal. I love him. I will never not be in love with him. They say he’s not a romantic but he totally is, and adding Jimmy’s hotness on top of it all…whew.

4. Porsche

Idk what else to say other than Apo’s profile is perfection and Porsche was a slightly-annoying-but-still-admirable goofball who just so happened to be intensely hot.

5. Phayu

I had a Boss phase. His motorcycle racer vibes are unmatched, and the little bun he wore? No one can pull it off like him.

6. Vee

I know, I know, he’s problematic. The cheating was bad. He was in crisis, and I know that doesn’t excuse it, but Yin is hot enough that I am willing to overlook it. Also, I have been in a debate with my friend for a year now that he bears a significant resemblance to Yeonjun from TXT.

7. Sarawat

Is this the basic answer? Absolutely. I think 2gether is overrated, and while I enjoyed it at the time, I don't think it lives up to the hype anymore BUT Bright's profile certainly does. He fits this prompt too well.

8. Phaya

Idk why I keep talking about the actors so much over the characters, but I have to preface this by saying that I hated SCOY and War of Y was not much better (the part that I did watch) but Billy has never let me down. It also helps that Billy is one of the BL actors that knows how to act like he wants to devour people (didn't think I'd ever be saying those words in my life but here we are).

9. Black

Look, Gun as a nice guy is great, but Gun as a rebellious gang leader? I'm all for it. I only wish Black would've gotten more screen time. Or like a spin off.

10. Kiyoi

Finally leaving the Thai BL sphere for a moment. Kinda hate his hair styling but his face is 10/10, and I completely understand why anyone would have an obsession with him.

Thai BL Favorites List

Thank you for tagging me, @ellaspore! It has taken me a while to finish this, but if you’re making me choose this harshly between my favorite shows and characters, my choices have to be well thought-through. Which doesn’t mean I’m capable of narrowing down pretty much anything to just one per category, so expect me to cheat a lot here.

Favorite Thai BL: I have too many Thai BLs I love, and I don’t really have one favorite that tops them all, so let me use this chance instead to rectify the fact that I forgot about one important show when I was asked about my nine favorite shows last time: KinnPorsche. My beloved.

Current Obsession: I’ll go with Be My Favorite here. But I have to say, Laws of Attraction is climbing the ranks fast and, after only two episodes, I have just about reached the same level of obsession I have for Be My Favorite. I’m still on the fence about Hidden Agenda, but this could easily become a favorite too.

Favorite Pairing: Oh no. Don’t make me choose. This might honestly be the hardest question on this list. One of the first couples I thought of was Akk and Ayan from The Eclipse, but my heart is also screaming at me to say Kluen and Daonuea from Star in my Mind, or Tinn and Gun from My School President. I can’t possibly narrow this down even more, three is already too few. Can I skip this question? 👀

Most Underrated Actor: I don’t know if he’s underrated in general or I just personally underestimated him for the longest time, but Gawin is doing really, really well in Be My Favorite (I also substantially underestimated his singing abilities). Other than that, I’m really impressed by how phenomenally Film is portraying Charn in Laws of Attraction.

Favorite Character: No. I refuse to answer this. You can’t make me. Everything in me is hurting at the idea of choosing one. Let me just dodge this question by listing like the first dozen people that come to mind (my brain works in mysterious and non-comprehensible ways, just don’t question it): Gun (My School President), Akk (The Eclipse), Kluen (Star in my Mind), Jeng (Step by Step), Yai (Big Dragon), Mark (Love Mechanics), literally everyone from Moonlight Chicken, but especially Alan (he is the most understandable and human and complex antagonist I’ve ever seen, and it makes me insane). I said what I said.

Favorite Side Character: Honestly, right now I’ll give this to Tien from La Pluie. There are so many other incredible side characters that deserve to be here, but I’m particularly in love with him right now.

Favorite Scene in a BL: I have a particular obsession with this one scene in ep 10 of Never Let Me Go where Palm returns to Nueng and they reunite in that abandoned building and promise each other eternal love and support. It’s the look on Nueng’s face when he sees Palm that gets me—all that longing and hope and unadulterated happiness and relief of getting to see him again. Then there’s also this one scene in ep 8 of The Eclipse where Ayan is the most patient and loving person ever in trying to coax out Akk’s feelings, which leads to one of the softest kisses in BL history (in my personal opinion). Oh, and I also frequently rewatch the one in Not Me where White runs away from Sean after Sean finds out about the twin thing, and Sean says all hurt and in love and confused, “I don’t even know what your name is”, and White tells him, and Sean immediately repeats it and hugs him like he finally has the right to his real identity, to the real him, and he’s in awe. And the soundtrack, ugh, it’s so good.

Favorite Line in a BL: Cake saying “Nobody’s hurt just because we love each other” to See-Eiw in My Only 12%. That line struck me so hard. Oh, and Akk and Ayan telling each other they are allowed to be weak with each other in The Eclipse. The way they promised each other weakness wasn’t something to be ashamed of, ugh. And then there’s the end credits of 180° Longitude Passes Through Us saying (amongst other emotionally devastating things), “To you who call yourself a parent: you can only give birth to them, but you don’t own them.” The way I wept when I read that. This show tried to destroy me, and it succeeded.

Most Anticipated BL (& Why): Only Friends, which will come as no surprise to anyone who has talked to me about it. I trust P’Jojo with all my heart and I trust these actors to create the queerest, messiest story in GMMTV history or even Thai BL history.

Healthiest relationship in a BL: Oh, I’m also really tempted to say Tinn and Gun from My School President. And for a bit of an underrated relationship—Fuse and Ana from Future.

Most Toxic Relationship in a BL: Korn and Knock in Together With Me. Mostly because of how Knock treated Korn like he was disposable and only for him to play with.

Guilty Pleasure Series: I will not answer with Star in my Mind like you did, @ellaspore, simply because I do not feel even remotely guilty for the love I have for this series. I’ll go with Big Dragon, instead.

So that was a wild ride full of conflicting feelings. Thanks for inviting me to try this! Not really sure who to tag here, but I’ll just go ahead and invite @recentadultburnout or anyone else who feels like it! All-Time Favorite BL Character and Why? Pat Jindapat- do i need to explain? the utter beauty of this boy realizing his own feelings and then being so good to go as far as to apologize to the girl he's confessed to because he recognizes he used her as a way to make himself feel better? chef's kiss! pat is one of the greenest flags in my BL list and i will go to my grave, singing his praises and crying over him

Tankhun Theerapanyakul - he whacked Vegas in the head with a tray and immediately became my utter fave. and then to learn that he's actually the smartest and speak perceptive truths..ugh my love! but watching him worry for pete and grow from someone who refused to leave his house and then willingly run out to search for porsche and porchay...i will snap the neck of anyone who tries to hurt him

Pran Sirichedewat - oh god....god god pran... love of my life pran. pran is me without the guitar ability and the Pat. watching him in ep 4 cry in silence and then force a smile onto his face like its ridiculous to be in love with someone who could never love him back...that hit me so hard and i recognized a kindred spirit

One Character You Want to Punt Into the Stratosphere Have two! Kim/ Kamol from Unforgotten Night...i'm not even sorry.

Best Music Moment BBS beach goodbye (Our Song) - true i'm using the OST but listening to this song invokes such feelings in me? i am always sad and happy because i remember the week after ep 11 and how i was numb and then after ep 12, to learn that it's been a ruse...i just...i fucking love it

Rooftop Kiss - i'm dead if i do not add this here...will not explain. do not need to

Porsche's breakdown ep 12 - this scene with its plot makes me cry but the music just brings such beauty to it. a gentleness that we wouldn't expect to see in a mafioso. but gentleness is kinn's way with porsche and this gentleness and trust is enough to break porsche and i just...fucking gorgeous

Honorary Mention to Not Me's kiss in Ep 8 (also on the rooftop!!! absolutely gorgeous!)

Not Me...post ep 10 and the crucifixion of Gram: i just...ugh...im sorry the show was lovely and beautiful and i loved the plot but after ep 10 i just...watching it felt like yanking my teeth out

BL ~ Drama Asks

Still home sick and bored so why not. Thanks to @pose4photoml for tagging me

1.     If you had to watch one drama forever what would it be?

I’m taking this to mean that I can only watch this one drama and nothing else and it might surprise people but my answer isn’t a BL. It’s Vincenzo. I love that show. But since this is a BL asks game, I’ll also choose a BL for this...I’m gonna say Old Fashion Cupcake. It’s short but it hit all of my sweet spots (no pun intended) and I can’t see myself ever growing tired of it.

2.     If you could change the ending of a drama which one would it be?

Just one drama? How about two? My Gear and Your Gown and Enchante. MGAYG could have been so good, it just needed to be tightened up a bit and not throw in that random drama at the end. And Enchante was so very good until that ending.

3.     Name your favorite drama and tell who your favorite character was.

My favorite drama? Probably A Tale of A Thousand Stars and my favorite character was definitely Tian.

4.     Name a drama you dropped within the first few episodes ~ we all have at            least one!

I literally just dropped Check Out after 2 episodes. I’m not saying I’ll never finish it but I hated Nine so much I just couldn’t and then I kept hearing that it doesn’t really get better.

5.     Name a popular drama you've never watched and why?

I Told Sunset About You. I KNOW it’s good okay. I know it is. It just feels too real and I simply don’t want something that real. At least not right now. I will probably watch it eventually, just not any time soon.

6.     Name a drama you regret watching.

So I binged Hong Kong’s version of Ossan’s Love and then I immediately binged Japan’s version and I would not recommend anyone do this ever. It did weird things to my brain. It’s the same exact show but one is slightly more exaggerated (HK) and one is ever so slightly more serious (Japan). It’s a fine show just...don’t do what I did.

7.     Name a drama you thought you’d never watch but did and did you end up            liking it?

Cherry Blossoms After Winter. I’m normally not a fan of the stepbrothers trope and was going to not watch this, but I heard that it was actually cute and decided to give it a try and I am so glad I did. It is just genuinely one of the most wholesome and soft shows I’ve ever seen.

Also Secret Crush On You. I was very concerned about the stalker angle after reading the MDL summary but it started airing when I didn’t have a lot else to watch so I gave it a try and it ended up becoming one of my favorite shows ever.

9.     Name a pairing you didn’t think had chemistry?

YuThanu. What even were they? They seemed like they were both from different alien species trying to convince the other one they were human and definitely wanted this relationship, yes, they definitely wanted it. I have more chemistry with the 30 pairs of socks I found on the ground by the dumpster than these two had with each other.

10.  Name a pairing you have seen in another drama that you like?

I’m guessing this means a pairing that’s in multiple shows that I like? I don’t actually have an answer for this. If it’s about the actors, then I’m not really a big fan of pairing actors together and basically making them a set. If it’s about characters, then I’d honestly rather only see the pairing in one show because otherwise that means there’s a second season and I do not trust second seasons.

I’ve done this tag game once before so I’m going to try for all different answers this time! Wish me luck.

All-Time Favourite BL Character and Why: This question trips me up every time because I love SO MANY characters, it’s impossible to pick a single one. So I’m gonna list my top three favourite protagonists since I often like protagonists a lot less than side characters so there’s less for me to choose from. In no particular order: Bunn from Manner of Death, Win from Cupid’s Last Wish, Tin/Tol from Triage, Pat/Pran from Bad Buddy. (Listen LISTEN, Bad Buddy and Triage are both shows with TWO protagonists, I don’t make the rules, this is totally not cheating.)

One Character You Want to Punt into the Stratosphere: Canon Gram from Not Me will forever reign supreme in this department. I haven’t really been keeping up with My Secret Love - I only made it four eps in before getting too bored and frustrated to continue - but from the start, I was really annoyed with Mek. Maybe he gets better after some ✨character development✨ but there were many times I wanted to punt him into the stratosphere in those first four eps.

Best Music Moment: Okay, I said I’d make my answers different this time but everytime I think “music moment”, my brain immediately jumps to Jaeyoung slow-mo walking in his leather jacket with the OST playing in the back. It’s too iconic. Nothing compares.

A Popular Het Text You'd Like To See As A BL: Hmm, this is a tricky one because I haven’t watched a ton of Western het romances. Probably something involving murder and/or mystery. I immediately think of Sherlock Holmes but that’s not a romance and it’s already heavily queercoded.

BL Scene that Makes Me Laugh: Every time Vice Versa references another BL, I giggle like a lunatic.

Biggest Disappointments: I feel like I should preface this by saying that the biggest disappointments for me aren’t necessarily shows that are bad, they’re just shows I had ridiculously high hopes and expectations for, which were not met. This is my nice way of saying that I was disappointed with Kinnporsche. I really loved the first half of the show but got really bored at the halfway mark. I’m glad other people enjoyed it and I really hope the industry shifts towards making more shows like this - higher budget, heavier in the plot department, diverse secondary genres, more murder - but admittedly I was pretty disappointed that it didn’t hold my attention in the second half because of how much I loved the start. Sorry, Nessie, please don’t divorce me ❤️

2 Random Characters That Would Make Hilarious Exes: Todd from Not Me with literally anyone. I just think he would be a hilariously petty ex and I wanna see it.

Best Wardrobe Moment (Character or Otherwise)? JAEYOUNG STROLLING UP TO SCHOOL IN A LEATHER JACKET. This isn’t necessarily a big Wow moment or anything, but I really like the clever usage of Talay’s relationship with the colour pink and the way it’s pointed out that he’s started wearing it, despite claiming that he hates the colour, because he’s falling in love and pink is the colour of love and that’s why he hates it and by the end of the show, he’s gonna be in love with Puen AND love AND the colour pink.
