Lilo and Stitch. Kirk and Spock. Batman and Superman. Over and over, our stories LOVE to make earthlings and aliens besties. And why shouldn't they?? Aliens are great! But what is the BEST earthling-alien duo? That is what we are here to decide! Submit YOUR duos, and watch them duke it out in a battle of propaganda and unfettered favoritism!

Rules:

No real people. MCYT roleplay (and other forms of roleplay, if it is indeed clear that it is roleplay) IS ALLOWED, though, as long as being an alien is canonical to the character and not a fanon interpretation.

"Besties" is a catchall for any type of relationship, be it romantic or platonic or a secret third thing, so feel free to submit any relationship type!

Submit as many duos as you like, but only submit each duo ONCE. Don't spam, it's rude and risks eliminating that duo entirely.

I will only allow TWO duos per fandom into the bracket. This is to keep fandoms that are earthling-alien duo heavy (cough Homestuck Doctor Who Star Trek ETC. cough) from overtaking the bracket. This DOES NOT mean you can't submit as many duos from a fandom as you like, but do take this into consideration when submitting and asking your friends to submit.

I use some examples of earthling-alien duos here as well as in my clarification post, but I DON'T have any default duos lined up. Submit your guys if you want to be Sure that they'll be up for consideration!

The Ultimate Blue Boy Bracket 2023!

Welcome to the Blue Boy Bracket! This tournament is for all of our favourite blue boys, a common design trait that we all know and love.

Submissions will run from today, the 10th of April 2023, for one week until the 17th of April 2023.

Requirements:

Fictional characters only.

Characters must be male.

Blue must be featured notably on their design/be their 'signature' colour.

I will consider anything in the below range as blue enough (including all different shades that fall into this)

Restrictions:

No headcanons.

Characters must be from an existing piece of media. Please don't submit your OCs/FCs (original characters & fan characters), unless you do have an established piece of media that they are featured in, such as a comic.

No real world objects/people/websites/etc.

Additional info:

The character cap will likely be 200, when I say ultimate I mean ultimate lmao. I'll allow submissions beyond that until the deadline, but the final tournament will probably be limited to 150 - 200 characters once the representitive polls are done too.

Characters can be any age, species, etc.

They can be from live action media, so long as it is fictional.

You can submit as many characters as you like, but please don't spam submit the same character repeatedly.

I will limit each franchise/series to 1 - 2 characters each, depending on how big the poll gets.

There may be a few "representitive polls" for certain franchises, for users to decide who should make the cut if there are too many different submissions for one series.

Characters with official visual images are preferrable. I will accept characters from media without images, such as books, provided that they aren't too obscure and there is at least some fanart I can credit.

Please use the image submission feature (either the file upload or link version) if you can, it'll save me a lot of time. If you're submitting fanart, please credit the artist somewhere in the submission!

The bracket will be seeded both randomly and manually to ensure for - hopefully - fair starting match-ups.

Please note that it may take a while between submissions closing and the tournament starting. It will depend on how many submissions there are, and the admin's own schedule.

The admin is in the BST (UTC+1) timezone.

Multi-Color Fandoms Tournament!

I don't know about y'all, but, I've been noticing a lot of these color-themed bracket tournaments going around – like @purpleandyellowshowdown, @blueandorangebracket, @redandgreenpoll, and @redandbluebracket. Every bracket seems to have characters from all the same colorful fandoms too! Wack, huh? Anyway. This tournament is going to decide which one of these FANDOMS with color-coded characters has got the MOST VIBRANT SWAG!!! I'll gather submissions of via Google Forms, and the size of the bracket will be determined by the amount of responses I receive. SO GET GOIN'.

TOURNEY & SUBMISSION RULES:

No spamming submissions! However, feel free to advertise your duo, to try and get others to send them in!

I wanted to make a character bracket around black and yellow themed characters, cuz I think there's lots of fun potential there :3 I haven't seen someone do this particular combination yet, but if it's already been done I'm sorry hdjshf

Here's some rules!

STAY SILLY! This is not serious pwease don't be mean to each other. If I see one side bullying another, I will end the vote early, block offending parties, and restart that poll!

You can submit as many characters as you'd like, but please don't submit them more than once! The more votes a character has, the more likely it is that they'll end up in the bracket.

Keep it to fictional characters please! However, the characters can be human, creature, or anything else as long as they fit the theme!

Propaganda is ENCOURAGED, but cheating is not! You can vote on multiple blogs if you have them, I can't really stop you, but please don't use bots as it's unfair to everyone fighting honorably!

It's a casual bracket! Different shades are allowed, but Green and Orange will NOT count as yellow. Characters are allowed to have other colors besides yellow and black on them, however, as deciding otherwise would severely limit the bracket! Likewise, if a character has black and yellow vibes without having an explicitly black and yellow theme, that is allowed!

Examples of characters that fit the theme: A duo you like that has black and blonde hair respectively, characters with black and yellow clothing / themes, characters that fit the black and yellow vibe, etc!

Other things to note:

Submissions will be open until March 5th, with some caveats: If not enough characters are submitted by the 5th for a full bracket, then submissions will remain open until the 8th! If submissions fill up very quickly, I may opt to close the bracket as early as the 3rd.

The bracket will probably be between 16-32 slots, depending!

Welcome to the bracket for all of your blue and orange characters!

Submit a character that is both blue and orange, or two characters that together form a blue/orange duo right here!

Guidelines for submissions:

Using a fairly loose definition of orange and blue here. Teal is blue, brown is orange. Red is not orange, and purple is not blue.

Fictional characters only! However, fictional characters representative of real people will be accepted if they are distinguishable from the real person.

Characters do not necessarily need pink/yellow in their design, they just have to be prominently associated with those colors in some way.

Characters that are pink-adjacent/yellow-adjacent are allowed as long as they are more pink/yellow than they are other colors. i.e. magenta characters that are more pink-leaning still count as pink, but magenta characters that are more red-leaning do not count. There are other polls for those colors.
