Custom dragon skull pipe for @riftwingdesigns 🖤💚🐲💀💚🖤 I’m stoked on how this came out but of course I forgot to take pictures of the coolest part before I sent it out 🤦‍♀️- the horns glow green in the dark! I really appreciate Gretchen being so patient with me while I struggled with some mental health stuff and took a super long time to finish this piece. People with CPTSD and/or ADHD can all probably relate to getting stuck on a project. Executive dysfunction and “getting lost in the weeds” are definitely things I struggle with regularly that especially get worse the more stressed I am feeling in life. I’ve got a bunch of mini mushroom plant stakes available in the shop after yesterday’s update- including my favourite which is this little Inky Cap! 🍄🌿 I’ll be working on sending out orders in between taking care of my mom and grandma for the next couple weeks. The tiniest glass succulents that I have ever made! My grammy means the world to me and has been the biggest influence on my life, my character and my art since I was a babe. She has been having a terribly difficult year following multiple breast cancer/reconstructive surgeries, multiple strokes and dementia diagnosis. It’s so difficult to watch the woman who has always been my hero struggle so much- it brings tears to my eyes just to write about it. But she always taught me how to be strong, kind and to handle difficult situations with patience and grace so now it is a gift to get to repay to her the love and devotion she has given me my whole life in helping to care for her.🖤 Tomorrow is her 79th birthday and she requested a pair of earring to match the succulent necklace I gave her a couple years ago- so here they are! Dainty and adorable like she is! I’ve been having trouble with #anxiety this week and just trying to focus on smaller things like taking care of my terrariums and getting completed orders sent out. Unfortunately now I have extra cause to worry excessively because my precious kitty, Lucky had an asthma attack and had to be rushed to the vet last night. I’m so glad to have @saintfrancisvets 24 hour emergency room right down the street because I was in full panic when my little chubby luv started wheezing, threw up and was refusing pets (she’s the biggest love bug ever). I’ve had her 18 years and she is practically my therapy animal- at her age any sign of something wrong with her health sends me into a fit of worry even tho the vets tell me she still looks and acts like a cat of 10yrs old. She spent the night in oxygen and is hopefully going to come home tonight. The vet says she is responding to treatments and doing much better today. I’m on a mission wracking my brain about what in my apartment could be causing her asthma and so it looks like I might be ditching my new sheep wool carpet/throw pillows and changing all the air filters in the a/c units. A new mycology specimen! Behold the bridal veil stinkhorn mushroom (phallus indusiatus)! Well, not really- this one is glass. 😜🍄 I’ve ben thinking about making one of these since someone pointed out the similarity between the organic shapes of my #glassnetworking projects to the shapes in the veil of this type of stinkhorn fungus.
