This was a super interesting custom order I had the privilege to complete for one of my awesome repeat customers! This customer is a biologist who has been working with vernal pools and requested I create an artistic representation of an amphibian egg mass as a glass ornament. For those of you who may not know, many amphibians (like frogs and salamanders) lay their eggs in gelatinous clusters in the water, often attached with sticks and algae. I have found egg masses like this when playing in ponds and swamps as a kid. It was a cool project to make one in glass. 🐸🥚🌿

Custom dragon skull pipe for @riftwingdesigns 🖤💚🐲💀💚🖤 I’m stoked on how this came out but of course I forgot to take pictures of the coolest part before I sent it out 🤦‍♀️- the horns glow green in the dark! I really appreciate Gretchen being so patient with me while I struggled with some mental health stuff and took a super long time to finish this piece. People with CPTSD and/or ADHD can all probably relate to getting stuck on a project. Executive dysfunction and “getting lost in the weeds” are definitely things I struggle with regularly that especially get worse the more stressed I am feeling in life.
