Eyes stinging, he nods.

His family’s losing their ever-loving shit as he walks off, Ian being the loudest.

Face aflame, he hops off the stage and into Ian’s arms. The auditorium goes wild when they kiss. 

“My little graduate,” Ian whispers against his lips.

The movie’s not even that fucking scary. The effects are stupid, the plots barely strung together, and the actors are… trying their best.

Mickey's been through worse shit in the first ten years of his life than anything he’s seen on screen.

It’s the goddamn jumpscares that get him.

“JESUS FUCK!”

The demon appears, and Mickey jumps so high off the couch he basically lands in his husband’s lap.

Ian’s more surprised by the change of position than he is by the jumpscare.

“You gonna be okay there, babyface?” He coos in Mickey’s ear.

He’s gonna pay for it later.

His ears ring, Lip’s tiny terrors performing a pots and pans rock concert. He’d watched it unfold. The baby yanking on cabinets until Freddie expertly released the child locks Ian’d painstakingly installed.

Mickey’d been the older brother. Except instead of helping Mandy form bands, he’d helped tame the wild child. Kept her quiet. Invisible. Safe.

So he lets them destroy his kitchen. Grabs his phone. Starts recording. Because he wants these kids to be seen. To be loud. To be free. To be loved. To have memories worth playing back. The kind that make them smile. The kind siblings deserve.

WIP Wednesday ✨️✍️

Got tagged by my beloved @metalheadmickey to share a snippet from one of my WIPs. I initially started writing this along with a bunch of other Kinktober fics I have yet to finish, which I hope to complete in the next couple of weeks, and all of them are yet to go through some rigorous editing. Until then, enjoy my first ever smut snippet I've posted here, in which Mickey tries to stifle his emotional reaction during some intense sex, but Ian's having none of that 🖤

"If you want us to ride this til the end, I'm gonna need you to work with me," he says softly, brushing his nose against Mickey's hair, inhaling some of his scent in the process. "Think you can do that?"

Mickey closes his eyes, sighing as he feels the resistance drain from his body. Slowly but surely, he reaches the conclusion that Ian is right, him going against himself and Ian isn't getting them anywhere. At this point, he recognizes there are only two options for him to choose from: he can either embrace what is happening and keep enjoying one of the best fucks he's ever had, or they can stop completely and try to decipher the reason behind his reaction in their own time. There's no denying it either way, and only one of these options ends with the orgasm he's aching for. His hair tickles Ian's shoulder as he nods, choosing the former.

"Alright," Ian replies, nuzzling into him. "We handle this together like everything else, okay? You trust me?" His lips find Mickey's jawline again, bringing those perfect kisses along with them, and Mickey chews his lip at the feelings bubbling inside him. Nose flaring, he nods once more.

Ian's mouth breaks away from him, still remaining close. "Need words, unless you want us to change positions," he informs him in his full voice, still soft, yet determined. "Can't see your face, y'know."

Mickey swallows hard, unsure if he can find the ability to speak at all. "Yeah," it comes out low, but it's there.

"Yes, what, baby?" Ian purrs, bending down and pressing a slow, deep kiss into the crook of Mickey's neck. It pulls an involuntary moan out of him, his cock twitching in response. Fuck, his husband is going to be the death of him.

"Yes, I trust you," Mickey adds, voice strained. "I'll... cooperate or whatever."

Neighbourhood Terror. Ian doesn’t know exactly what that means. Must be bad because Fiona’s voice is serious.

His siblings are walking ahead, Ian doesn’t want to get left behind but he can’t stop watching as a cop drags a dirty boy, with clothes too big for his small frame, by the arm towards a house even more run down than their own.

The boy is swearing and struggling. Ian has to admire his bravery. The door opens, a mean looking man pulls the boy inside. Ian stares for a moment, wondering if the boy is as terrible as people think.

So I wrote a @galladrabbles for last week’s word Terror given to us by @bravemikhailo but I never posted it. @energievie suggested I tweak it for this week’s word, Breathless, chosen by @chicanomick and I managed to include both words! I hope this cheat doesn’t disqualify me! And, as per usual, @squidyyy23 ​encouraged all of this. She’s an absolute monster! 

Growing up in Terry Milkovich’s House of Horror you pick up some things. Like: eat now or go hungry. Like: take it because ain’t no one gonna get it for you. Like: sharing’s a sure-fire way to losing shit. 

It leaves Mandy breathless, then, to hear herself saying things like, “Finish your plate. If you’re still hungry you can have more”, or “Let’s take Peppa to the register so Auntie Mandy can pay”, or “Hey! Why don’t you two take turns on that swing, huh”.

Because no fucking way any niece or nephew of Mandy’s will ever feel that terror.

Another thing I wanted to write for a while.

Sometimes Mickey wakes up and for a minute he doesn't remember where is he.

Doesn't know why, full moon maybe, but he wakes up and his mind is just blank.

Once he believed he was in the Milkovich’s house and his father was coming after him. Then he remembers the asshole is dead.

Most of the time he thinks is back in prison, alone forever. His heart is racing and his hands start shaking, paralyzed with fear and sadness.

Every time, the feeling of his loving husband, nuzzling his face in his neck save him of his inner prison.

Ian is here, he’s not alone, he’s safe.
