Unspoken tension ahead of Charlie Work, a wound left open in Family Fight

The Production Order (the order in which the episodes are written) always seems of some value to me in Sunny, but 10 I find especially substantial. With half of the scripts of the season written by RCG, 4 are back-to-back (with their 5th one, Psycho Pete, being 2nd in order).

The run begins after The Gang Spies like U.S. Going off that into Charlie Work, as opposed to into that off Charlie Work, paints a very different narrative for the timeline.

We leave the reveal that Mac and Dennis are jerking off together into an episode that starts with high tension between Mac and Dennis. Dennis is frustrated that Mac isn't being direct, won't look him in the eyes, he's avoidant, timid. That's interesting, because Mac isn't usually any of those things, he's direct and abrupt and loud. Off 9, fully establishing Mac is gay, juxtaposing his closeted behaviour to Country Mac's openness, 10 focuses hard on the fact that Mac's confidence is continually battered as he refuses to step out of the closet. The Gang is tired of it, but Dennis is frustrated. His words maybe cut even deeper than the scratch, "Come to me like a man. Talk about being tough all the time, can't even look me in the eyes."

We leave CW and go into Family Fight, written right after, also by RCG. This episode has big focus on Dennis' obsession with public perception of himself, and the Gang. Though he can initially handle masking his demeanor, his tone of voice, what he can't mask are his words. He's smiling, he's 'joking', but there's deep truth in what he’s saying. He's frustrated, though his frustration in the moment is intended for Frank, Mac feels it directed at him. There's a fresh wound between them, because Mac fully understands what his feelings for Dennis are now, and that’s irreparably shifted their dynamic.

Misses the Boat is the last RCG-written episode of the season. From Charlie Work, where we’re kinda first faced with the fact that Mac is now overly-concerned with how Dennis perceives him, to Family Fight, where Dennis' masks slip completely and he has a public breakdown, they both veer hard to straighten themselves. Mac, very quite literally, goes straight, and Dennis resolves that he needs to cut ties to get back to being ‘cool’, he’s going to be a cool guy who has a cool car and hangs out with a babe and is cool.

But what we learn in Misses the Boat is that how they think the world views them, or should view them based on how they believe they present, isn’t who they are. They can’t actually function well in these situations. Dennis, untethered, somehow can’t control his rage as well as he can when he *is tethered* to the Gang. Mac, well, he isn’t straight, and he realises pretending to be into women is miserable.

Dennis gives him the offer: Do you want to go back? (To not addressing it, to a standstill.) And Mac quickly, excitedly takes it. Looping back to where they are in Charlie Work, back to where they settle for too long: Mac, absorbed in himself, clawing for approval from Dennis, and Dennis lashing out, tired of telling Mac what to do.

And I think this is why I love 10 more than anything, it finally addresses the issue the audience knows. With Charlie, Dee, and Frank, too. They’re going nowhere, spiraling in circles because they refuse to address the roots of their issues, and Misses the Boat makes them, themselves, fully aware of that fact. They’re miserable together, but they’re worse off alone. And they go into 11 and beyond knowing this, and all kind of resenting each other for it, until 14. Where they acknowledge it again, and decide they’re going to keep playing the game even though it’s set.

currently, it is my favorite kagepro song (this changes like every week but i digress...) and i really want to make a pv for it but i lowkey have no idea where to start

I LOV remind blue. like every kagepro song makes me want to rip my face off ♥️♥️♥️ but this one is one of those that make me feel so strongly that i cant listen to it ♥️♥️♥️ cuz i do that btw. i cannot listen to kagepro songs without preparing myself emotionally and it has to be when i am alone in my room. i could never listen to them in public. that'd be weird. im drawing and suddenly a kagepro song comes on in my playlist and im like this is so fucked up who put this here (<- i did)

songs like summertime record, lost day hour, remind blue and ayanos theory of happiness specifically i basically never listen to because it causes something in me both mentally and physically. im normal though.

TOTALLY support the idea to make a pv!!! i wouldn't know how to start either tbh💔 who would u make it be sung by?? like the song is so good but for the lyrics im like meh like str is already a thing. idk it sorta has the same vibe. its like summertime record and lost day hour's lyrics had a little baby together. which is why i always liked to interpret it as a haruka song but fuck it ig its shintaro's.

i also liked the idea of it being seto's or hibiya's. i think they'd deserve a song like this, especially hibiya!! tho for hibiya the whole "adult" thing is different LOL and even seto, he's just 17... ive always loved haruka being the punchbag for the "im an adult wtf" feeling because he goes from living his whole life thinking he will die and then he doesn't. or well he DOES die but then comes back, and suddenly he finds himself with his whole life ahead. like haruka and his early 20s crisis abt i did NOT think id be alive this long and now i gotta deal with everything those feelings bring me but at the same time i have to pay rent and worry abt what to make for dinner soooo erm fine ig. that's also what i think lost day hour is about, i know jin describes it more like a song abt old friends but girl idk it rly only has a couple lines abt that as opposed to all the rest of the song... erm. what was i talking about again.

i just think it was rly funny how we were all like ok remind blue uses "boku" so it's seto kano hibiya or haruka (or konoha). and then jin was like hehe. shintaro♥️ SHINTARO DOESNT EVEN USE BOKU whatever im pretty sure he also said it can fit anyone and its more a general mekakushi dan song. but tbh so is summertime record sooooo. sorry im sidetracking a lot

i dont particularly care for remind blue so much (LIKE THE SONG SLAPS im still talking about lyrics) bc it's very heavy on the shit abt like growing distant and stuff sortof??? like kagepros ending/str is implied to have the mekadan not grow apart but kinda do their own thing while still meeting to hang out, bc kagepro is also about growing up and with growing up comes maybe growing distant from these friends you love, but they will always be important and one of a kind in ur life and when u meet its like time hasnt rly passed between you. not to mention the whole thing about combining eyes and how all the snakes will always end up gathering by the queen no matter what, meaning the dan will always be bound to make their ways back to each other no matter what, and are connected to one another by the literal narrative that theyre all actually sort of aware of a little bit (they always refer to their tragedy as a "story"..kagepro is a little meta lol). and like that's all so beautiful but also fuck it. they all meet for pizza nights every week. erm. the passage of time am i right

this was like a pleasant surprise me ngl, didnt expect tos

i tend not to think of the tos like skins/roles as characters much but i do sometimes soo yeah. this is based a bit off ingame experience since most jailors i meet are pretty chill (+ being jailor is so scary for me lmao. i cant deciiiiide)

i think the jailor is a pretty average townie, just a calm rational guy trying to lead the town bc he cares about them. being the jailor though is a pretty big responsibility - you lead the town, you decide who lives and dies, whos good and evil. it can be pretty scary with that much power, especially if you have noone to make sure youre making the right decision (and even then, they could be lying).

on the flipside though jailors still just a townie. he can die just like everyone else... still an average guy behind everything. but ig he doesnt really have the time to be that anymore. you lead town at day and jail people and review evidence at night, theres just no time to not be The Jailor(tm)

this song also gives me like. the vibes of simply being jailed, especially as a like. 1v1 at the end of a game as maf. makes me remember an amb game i had where i wound up dying that way. this song is for the neutral ending after all, and it does feel like reaching... an end. not a good or a bad one - just one of many (even if the game says you lost lol)

^ bc ig in a.. meta way? it all goes by so fast. ingame weeks go by in like 30 min. whole towns/worlds are made and unmade and remade over and over. after being so many people/roles in such short time you realize theyre all kind of the same

in the end its kinda just... the same. the guilt of killing a townie (both for thr jailor and you, playing as the jailor) will be wiped away with everything else and the next game will begin. i dont know how to put it into words but like. the song definitely describes it

i dont really know how the characters like. view that or how much they know tho. whether theyre aware of how tos 'works' or not (with worlds being un- and remade and stuff), whether they remember it or not

this kinda ended up being about the game itself and how i see it, but i still think it fits the jailor too lol.

also music stuff. i think the high pitched notes, especially in the beginning and like. heavy part of the song is like a reminder that the jailors just an average townie like the rest of them. with the regular notes being the whole jailor.. thing ig. and the only high notes part after that is like.. remembering that hes just like everyone else (but he cant really show that yknow?). and then it descends into the lower/heavier piano part as hes like 'were really all the same under it all huh'. and that this is kinda getting to him a little, that he cant really make these decisions and shit alone.... but he has to. evils are still around and they could be anybody

i recently decided to start playing brave souls but there's a lot going on and it's scary. any tips?

ye i can offer some tips << certified gamer

-maxing out your characters is the best way to get orbs. for 4 stars its lvl 75 i believe for 35 orbs for 5 star characters its level 100 for 50 orbs for 6 star characters its lvl 150 for 75 orbs. thats a whole 125 orbs for one 5 star pull.

-honestly no pressure to lvl 200 your 6 star character unless u really want to/like the character a lot. its much better to conserve resources imo. in fact you dont even have to fully max out a 6 star character just lvl to 150 and fill out the soul tree if your gonna use it. i got a few unfinished soul trees on level 150s and i simply do not care

-the only stats that actually matter on characters are spirit pressure (purple) and attack (red). sp is strong attacks and specials while attack is the big attack button. the best builds are maxing out the highest stat as much as you can. its something a lot of people dont do and bbs combat is all about maxing out damage output. no one gives a fuck about defense stamina and focus.

-killers are very important which gives you additional damage against character affiliations (like ichigo being a soul reaper). and are only available on 6 stars attributes are like pokemon types and honestly its just if u know the pokemon types for fire water grass just apply it to the colors and know that purple and yellow both are effective against each other. attributes are also decently important because it can also affect the damage you deal and i believe also affects damage you are dealt

-events are good to grind through mindlessly like you get a free 4 star and some orbs but grinding points can get u some goodies like summon tickets which are basically free pulls, orbs at certain point ranks and i got to 2 mill points on the current event and somewhere along the lines i got a whole 5 star ticket.

-other game modes that are good for orb grinding are senkaimon (which i can write a whole guide on combat strategy to) and guild quests. unfortunately those are what i consider the harder game modes due to some being very character specific like theres only one exact card that fits every requirement but you can easily get orbs and other goodies and even earn tickets. although if youre new id wait a bit before attempting until you got a fair repertoire of characters

- be careful about splurging on banners some banners are baits right before a really good banner such as cfyow safwy or anniversary or general end of month banners and those characters tend to be really good. its probably bc they want to bait ur orbs so youd spend money on the good banners.

-side note dont feel like you need to spend money. i have like 100+ 6 stars and havent spent a cent on this game. and i also took several months off. do not feel like u need to spend money thats the devils temptations.

-do not become a pvp sweat its bad news the meta is very strict and also at a certain level ppl just spend money to get the upper hand like its not worth it at all unless u want medals ig. also its the least fun gamemode but if u want a basic rundown of pvp meta anything with high attack is good. thats rlly it.

- do not spend orbs on accessories just hoard tickets. orbs are for summoning characters and you can still get rlly good items from the tickets. its a lot harder to get golden accessories sure but its not worth the orbs imo

-btw if u get stuck on like a floor of senkaimon or ur on a mission and dont want to restart the thing to get all orbs just force exit the app the moment either you know youve fucked up or right as your character hits the ground dead. like a full restart the app moment. for apple devices i just get to the scrolling apps part you know the one with all the apps youve used recently and swipe up. its cheap and its cheating but by god im not no hitting a floor again

ok just gonna ramble on abur a possible pmv i might make but anyway. hero to player (almighty) after hes named/freed from the rock maybe. like he says they dont have any choice (you can name him cunt and the game will go with it. i know this)

this could go plenty of days but like maybe the mask hero wears vanishing their memory or whatever? "i was born yesterday" is obviously a metaphor for becoming The patapon hero or whatever so ig it could refer to them Yknow. becoming the patapon hero and perhaps feeling forced into this role or whatever

the last lines though are obvious maybe it could be him as an uberhero to silver hoshipon but Hmm. hero not liking almighty bc theyre basically a puppet in some way. and to be more fanonish "why should i care either way, if what you say is true?" smthung smthing his feelings towards slinky and like. this is a REACH i am REWRITING this but everything forcing him and slinky to be together while in reality hero can only remember slinky vaguely and its like. said in canon he "remembers" but what if thats just smthing theyve been shown and they arent so sure of his memories? so when him and slinky actually get to chat hero barely feels connected to her bc of the mask theyve been wearing? yes im ignoring canonsorry i love complex stuff or whatever

first image is weirdly cropped her sorry but obviously about slinky maybe. something something the urge to feel attracted to someone but like that doesnt relate to the song so maybe hero is just trying to recall slinky (or naughtyfins in general) but most of their actual memories together is clouded by the present and not the past and how they bonded and were meant to be so close. a lot more lyrics but yeah

anyway him to almighty. alternate universe wise hes probably taking off the mask / being selfish for doing so? and cussing out the almighty bc theyve been nothing but, yknow, a puppet for the last two games and it feels as if they dont have much freewill. like this feels meta but whatever

Have so many ideas for writing but my courses are kickin my sorry ass 😌

While doing my schoolwork and then taking a break to play genshin (kokomi finally came smh) my youtube recommended me a backrooms iceberg whatnot.

And it got me thinkin😤

With the sagau au and cult au, its easy to make it “oh its a real place and the computer was a portal for it! “Or its “still in a computer but the characters and planet have gotten conciousness” whatever,,, and like,, either way,,, this gives so much potential for cross overs of huge multitude. That can also be “canon” with our AUs?

Like?? Ugh. Idk how backroom lore took me down this road but my ✨ stars ✨ i wanna see more crossovers Like genshins real, and we are their god apparently, so many we can make a planet or some domain to mimic other games/new worlds?

Taking Klee and a few other Acolytes to hangout with Frisk in Undertale, exploring that world. Having Zhongli play a real life verision of FNAF and seeing him absolutely pummel Bonnie. Getting lost im the backrooms with em. Idk man.

i feel like this is gonna be an unpopular opinion but i sometimes see people talk about grizzop as a sort of paragon of logic and morality and it always bugs me.

bc like. yes, i love grizzop. and i think it’s clear that he is very much trying to be good, and he’s very committed to doing what he sees as the right thing.

but the same are true for azu and hamid and plenty of characters, and i don’t think he’s any better at moral reasoning than most of the rest of the party. i think the impression that he is comes from his unshakeable confidence and his mastery of what I’ve started to think of as catholic logic.

(this is fairly stream of consciousness and i’m not gonna tag it bc it’s not gonna be entirely coherent or especially well argued, i’m just getting some thoughts down. but my understanding is that sometimes untagged stuff shows up in search, plus ig i have followers, so feel free to reply and discuss this, i’d actually love that. but not much i say here is stuff i’m super confident about so... please don’t get too offended by my wrongness. just tell me why you feel im wrong without aggression, or move on.)

the first bit is the confidence. we don’t ever see grizzop have a moral crisis in the way that most of the other characters do. I can’t think of a time that he’s appeared to look back on something he’s done and wonder if it was wrong; the closest that occurs to me is when he regretted shooting the guy’s legs off in the cairo bar, but tbh i think that was more of a judgement error where he expected to hurt the person much less than he did. we don’t see him question things like flooding the orc town near damascus or dragging sasha into the politics of ancient rome when she didn’t want to be, and honestly, i think this lack is mostly to do with how short a time he was with the party.

most of the arcs he were present for were focused on hamid and sasha’s growth. where he played respectively the accuser and the protector, both roles that made him look good because they cast him as the arbiter of who was right.

i think hamid, especially, bought into this in the cairo arc, because i think hamid is very consciously in the process of recalibrating his moral compass at the time and he has a marked tendency to do so based on the people he admires-- and the loudest voice in the room. hamid really doesn’t like people he admires having a problem with him, and he already felt that he wasn’t necessarily a good person, so he was very open to seeing grizzop or azu as the authority on whether he could be good, and since grizzop pushed where azu prevaricated, grizzop was the one who got the final say.

but in the same arc, you can see sasha and azu starting to question grizzop’s moral compass; sasha notices how legalistic grizzop’s judgement is, and that it really ought to condemn her too, while azu takes issue with how brutal grizzop’s methods are (see punching wilde). but neither of them are willing to press the issue with him at that point, and so he’s never really confronted with something that contradicts him.

and notably, grizzop’s confidence comes from the obvious source: he believes that artemis is inviolably good, and he knows she approves of what he’s doing because his powers still work. but there’s an arrogance here, too, a very strong belief in his own moral superiority with the slightest confirmation; look at rome, where he refuses to listen to azu and ed’s assertions that there’s something wrong with the gods there, because he was able to bull through to artemis the one time he tried, so obviously he must just be a better paladin of a better god, right?

grizzop has very strong beliefs and opinions, and he takes whatever route works best to fulfill them-- both in terms of actions, and in terms of logic. take his decision to forgive/endorse hamid near the end of the cairo arc: by his own assertions, people should experience consequences for their actions, and we know he knows what manslaughter is because he brings it up when hamid first starts talking about accidental murder. but where saleh and carter belong in jail because they’re ~bad~, hamid is allowed to continue on because he’s ‘trying to be better’, never mind that that was hamid’s whole argument about why saleh didn’t deserve to go to jail. plus, saleh’s one goal when he thought he’d killed someone was to resurrect them, which imo makes a lot more sense as a redemptive gesture than going around killing entirely unrelated people. the rules are different because grizzop likes hamid (and probably a bit because ben didn’t want to break the party, but shhh).

this twisting of the logic to fit what you’re trying to prove is what i mean by ‘catholic logic’ (i’m catholic dont @ me); it sounds really good if you don’t think about it too hard, but in fact it’s generally post-facto rationalizations for decisions that have already been made.

grizzop is very enthusiastic about poking holes in other people’s moral reasoning, as we see with apophis, but i think his issue is that he’s got a blind spot when he looks at himself and his own decisions. in grizzop’s world, grizzop is right as long as artemis is still with him and everything else comes after.

now i’m personally of the opinion that alex doesn’t bother/want to engage with the idea that gods take away powers, post-poseidon nonsense, which if true i sympathize with; doing so is either going to lead to the sort of inscrutability zolf had a meltdown over, or put a player in the weird position of making their character do what alex has decided their god would require or having to entirely reinvent the character without those divine powers.

on another meta level, my understanding is that grizzop was designed to be very resistant to doubt because of ben’s difficulties playing zolf, so i think he might have been nearly as resistant to growth on that front as bertie was in general, because believing unshakeably that he’s right is a core element of his character.

but i think if grizzop had lived longer, alex absolutely would have done some hammering at that absolute conviction. that might have come in the form of vesseek and the fact that grizzop is apparently an absentee father; even if he is sending home money, i can’t imagine that not being something that gets mined for angst.

i also think he would have eventually come into a similar sort of conflict with azu, sasha, or cel (whoever was there) that zolf is in right now, where he absolutely believes that whatever killing he’s committed/intending to commit is not only right but a moral imperative, and they disagree.

now whatever side you fall on in the barrett debate, i think grizzop ought to be a lot less willing than zolf to say ‘i’m not gonna go through you lot to do it’, not because i’m convinced grizzop would be hugely more willing to physically fight the rest of the team over it, we know that despite his practicality he seems to overlook some ‘’’wobbles’’’ in people he already cares about, but because zolf is capable of giving up on something in a way that grizzop just isn’t. i dont know how that would play out; chances are, it would get interrupted by a fight, but. who knows.

#stopping not bc i think its a good ending but bc im out of energy #i welcome other people's thoughts but i know this isnt v coherent sorry

Dude i love the internet sometimss i go to someones blog and theyre like “sideblog is at x” and im like !!!???! DUDE???? Sometimes i think i know three people but they turn out to all be the same person on different accounts and it makes me love them more. Theres someone, like longtime friend, on my discord server who im not entirely sure is actually a separate person or another account for the same person but like. Ive known these people for like 3 years now so i cant really ask??

I feel like ive said this before but worst thing in the world is not knowing if something you do or experience is normal -

My sisters dog is growling at nothing right now but she was kinda asleep and now shes up and wagging her tail so probably im not about to get nerfed by a ghost. If i dont send this ask you’ll know ig.

- anyway so then youre googling hospital robots at two in the morning and for some reason the internet doesn’t know what you mean by that. Idk the human experience is so varied and seriously what how are there so many ways to do things the world is so crazy. I wanna live in the same house with someone i share no language with and see how that would work out. I think im pretty good at nonverbal communication and also it would be rad af to halfway not know whats going on half the time but it would be in a fun way this time. My neighbor, when i was bad at chinese or having trouble learning or whatever offered to drop me off on the streets of beijing and pick me up three days later, he said by then id know the language. At the time that scared me, and i dont know how good of an idea that specifically is but idk id do it. Its just so wild how many things there are yknow??

4. What made you want to watch Promare? What drew you in?

I RLY WANTED TO SEE IT BC OF THE ANIMATION. i knew nothing abt it bc when i watched it barely anyone had seen it yet so id heard no spoilers, i just saw trailers and was going thru a real rough time so i was like fuck it im gonna drive literal hours and go watch it i need colors in my life it looks like it’ll be pretty even if it sucks. and then i watched it and whatever that post is that is im not the same person i was one movie ago

so many i like :) kakusei lio though is like. gorgeous animation. makes me so emotional. theres SO many good parts about it like beyond the colors and like i said ANIMATION cannot stress this enough ANIMATION. i RLY love how promare combined the 2d and 3d like the 1st time i watched it i was kinda like huh some of this looks unfinished but i have grown to love it. i am appreciative. ok there was definitely more than one thing id change that would make the movie so much better but if we’re going by MOMENTS.. kind of hard for me to decide between surprise! burnish kray! or the promare leave. bc i think both of them like add onto triggers whole thing of ‘we will write this serious thing and then we wont actually think any part of our way of handling it in the last 3/4 of it through, or like, at all but especially that last part’ which is just. hrrghh. if i changed it kray would just have a gun and the promare wouldnt LEAVE. theyd just figure out a way to coexist. ive talked more extensively abt this i can write a whole thing. way to butcher your message trigger

ive noticed that a LOT of fanfics that try to redeem dedede really dont try. like its not like the author is lazy but the way its executed is

i have never read a fic wherein dedede is given a satisfactory redemption arc, he’s usually just nice from the beginning and very flat with the same personality every other ‘game’ dedede has, basically just ‘i am loud, i’m not mean or cruel im just loud and also im very sassy and a dad dont mess with me im epic’ which seems at first like it might substitute for his evil nature but it doesn’t

or he’s just really outrageously stupid, which is more anime dedede.

i do agree with you, though i think dedede in and of himself is a hard character to do perfectly ‘correctly’. because when it comes to game canon, there is no correct way to write him. because dedede has no personality. he has hints of personality. which is not replacement for a personality. you are left entirely to your own devices when it comes to dedede’s flaws and his entire mindset in general, because canon supports absolutely everything you could ever put onto his canvas. i could say dedede is a hostile matriarch with no care for anyone other than himself and his kingdom and it’d be supported, because the only times dedede has been forced to act out of good is to defend his planet from something (potentially, in magolor’s case) hostile. or i could say he’s just a cozy uwu dad who’s done some wrong but he’s fluffy and cute nao and canon would sort of shakingly support that.

i went out a LOT about this on the hnk discord server. i’ll leave the entire transcript below but it’s about how people write game canon / why i don’t read game canon fics / the intrinsic, EXTREME difficulty with writing game canon fics. had this convo with @sociallyunacceptableorb , @toon-kirby , and azuranaito

i’ll tl;dr it here but: the reason why game fics seem a little strange while going in is because the games themselves lack a solid personality for the characters. fanon personality exists for them, and usually when writers write for them, they step in such a way which may not align with you, the viewer’s expectations of the fanon personality. it may seem inherently unsatisfying, to you, but for others, it’s very satisfying. the status of game canon and fandom canon makes it harder for you to be satisfied by the fanfics you read unless they are very surface level, boring sorts of fanfics.

most writers cannot go without incorporating the anime in some regard to kirby content due to how much the anime had bled into the interpretations of the games. people will write spanish meta knight as a game thing, people will write kirby being babyish / saying poyo being a game thing, as well as dedede being southern a game thingthe writers who decry the anime as bad / only good ‘at the time’ yet use anime personalities / interpretations make me lul extremely.(edited)

people have different interps, and because of how the western world works, we all think our interpretation is the best we can possibly have. usually when we read things we suspend our disbelief, and when it comes to kirby fics, game fics, gijinka fics, i don’t think people can really.. deeply get involved in them.it’s a problem fics i suppose in general have. but it’s especially bad for game canon writers, or gijinka writers.people have hugely different adaptations of the same subject. with the anime there’s clearly written rules and characters defined over the course of 100 episodes. there’s a clear cut story with lots of dialogue and content there to be tackled. but even still, it can be interpreted differently by different people because thats how life works. only the existence of a canon episode cannot be refuted; a fic can be

game canon is harder to do because yes you have the games, and a lot of them, but there is no writing. it is all gameplay. which means that personalities and dialogue and whatever else is not the focus. people can have extremely varying interpretations of canon because of this, which is what intrinsically makes game canon harder to write for. with anime canon it’s easier to write closer to canon because there is a clear cut one. but with game canon, there is no clear cut canon.
