experiencing a really fun roleplaying challenge in exalted rn bc, in her horror and guilt about certain awful circumstances involving limit break, my lunar has fucked off to the swamp and used the charm Silver Mask Submersion (which essentially puts you completely under in a different human or animal persona) to just become a Straight Up Jaguar indefinitely. which buries all her old human intimacies but partially leaves her memories (where they dont conflict with her current identity). so i'm currently figuring out how to write up a new set of social intimacies for my character based on what a jaguar, with a jaguar's umwelt, would think of the other characters based on what jaguar!Bite can parse of human!Bite's memories.

i finally downloaded a spanish keyboard so I can type accents instead of copying and pasting them from other sites! I can do á and é and í and ñ with just the tap of a button now!

however. it does also mean that now like 15% of my keyboard does not correlate with what the buttons are labelled. i don{t know where the apostrophe is anymore and I can{t find the semi'colon! oh shit wait there's the apostrophe I think! that's the dash button but that's alright- oh shit! found the dash! it's the question mark button. ; OH! there{s the semi-colon! it{s the less than symbol! and the greater than is the colon :

hang on going through my buttons real quick in real time. " okay my at symbol is now quotations. # $ % & hmm my arrow is an ampersand now / and that was my ampersand button. ( ) = ? oh fuck the ( button types ) that's gonna fuck me up. ¡¿ exist now so that{s cool. *+{-:.._--/*-. so I appear to have lost (?) the greater than and less that signs. which is annoying because I like using them for arrows. and my upwards arrow and my at symbol. but I don't plan to use this always, just for when I need to type accents, so I'll take it!

#so today my father informed me that my cousin is 'confused' and thinks he's trans and a lesbian- worded in the most transphobic way possible #of course i already knew this because my cousin and i had come out to each other years ago #but i just played it off and didn't give anything about what i thought away #honestly i think my father thought that i had transphobic thoughts about it and was afraid to say it out loud #like what did you think i thought you weren't transphobic????? #my dear father i am not an idiot #so yeah i don't think he suspects that i'm not transphobic #which honestly just makes me laugh #because i'm doing a terrible job of hiding my political opinions from my parents #i guess it goes to show how far a parent's denial of their child's ability to have a completely different world view from them can go #anyway but after that conversation i talked with my cousin because i'm going to visit him in a few days #and i wanted to clear up who he had come out to so i didn't accidentally out him or drag him into any unwanted arguments #but the whole interaction with my father nearly made me have a panic attack #i guess it was a reminder that my life is about to change a lot #that i'll come out to my parents as trans and probably be met with lots of 'you're just confused' #they'll probably be infuriatingly condecending #and there are few things i hate more than being told that i don't know what i'm doing or who i am #i hate it so much #but it'll be fine #i'll be an adult and they can't control me #i won't let them #i just wish i didn't have do deal with this alone
