Name: Prince Reti
Nickname(s): Reti, my beloved, [other cheesy nicknames]
Age: ??? [seems to be similar to Rhythm]
Affliation: Zora Crown, Hylian Crown (limited)
Race: Zora
The fish, the myth, the legend, the Zora Prince that Rhythm saved and subsequently fell in love with. His father is the current king, which leaves plenty of time for Reti to do what he loves most: spend time with his friends, soak up the sun's rays, and surf to his heart's content!
Prince Reti isn't a fighter. While he does know how to fight in case something goes wrong and a war breaks out, he just prefers to try and avoid it altogether. In theory, he can fight with a rapier or a spear, but without either of those it's all teeth and claws that defend him.
Where as past Zora known to the royal family have been "sea Zora" or "the residents of Zora's Domain", Prince Reti and the rest of his people were once some of the once more aggressive "river Zora" that have learned to coexist with the people of Hyrule. They currently reside within the depths of Lake Hylia, with the Frozen Grotto and Lake Cave serving as points of communication with the Hylian royal family. Some still take the more aggressive route in life, though others have been able to find some semblance of peace.
The prince himself is kind and laid-back, and prefers to spend time surfing above the waves than swimming below them. He's well-liked among his people... though some think he should take his duties as prince more seriously. He's grateful to Rhythm for having saved his life and loves to just drift around on the waters listening to the Hylian recount his adventure. Reti's friendly with Skid and Yves, too, though Princess Zelda is in more neutral territory. Save for Sheila, he can come off as somewhat... possessive about Rhythm should someone try to pull him away.
[designer's notes: I basically just added more to his personality and gave him a name ^^; genuinely wanna give a huge shout-out to @peachssodapop for introducing me to the idea of CoH!Link/Zora Prince cause I really do think it's a cute idea!! zora are not easy to draw but I'm doing my best. I've also got a whole lotta lore about them to add to the table so buckle up for that post. Image on right is his official sprite, just upscaled so it was actually, y'know, visible.]

Okay but the sheer amount of unique worldbuilding and lore in Cadence of Hyrule.
Tumblr media
Link as a fully realized, fully recognized hero, despite never getting the Master Sword. He knows what he's doing without destiny yanking him around by the collar.
Tumblr media
Zelda able to operate singlehandedly, with as much dungeon-crawling ability as Link's often given.
Tumblr media
Shadow Link also having a Shadow Zel counterpart, implying that it's a sort of magic mimic rather than a specter haunting the Hero specifically. Not just that, but a mimic with AGENCY that can choose to help you.
Tumblr media
A canonical reason for Link being able to respawn after death, without breaking immersion.
Tumblr media
The oracles? Possibly? Their colors suggest so, but who are these ladies? Where do they come from? How do they know the future?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gerudo with designs that make sense for the desert!
Tumblr media
And a knack for technology! Which is really sick!
Tumblr media
Prince Ganondorf! Meaning that not only was he raised in Gerudo Town with his fellow Gerudo, but Link got his hero status WITHOUT taking him down!
Tumblr media
Branching timelines? That are referenced in-game? And can be averted depending on which side of the game you want to play?
In fact, it's complete mix of the three canon timelines' placement. River Zora (called "evil Zora") exist. The overworld theme takes from Wind Waker's great sea. Deku scrubs and the Great Deku Tree are around. Sea Zora (aka the "friendly Zora" of OoT onward) are sharks. Zelda, Link, and Ganon have Downfall timeline designs. Octavo references Vaati in his design. There are BotW Bokoblins and Keese, Wind Waker kargaroks, Iron Knuckles and Darknuts both, Taluses and Lynels and Hinoxes... Where is it in the timeline? Who knows? Wherever your heart thinks it belongs.
Tumblr media
Then there's how the Triforce calls to Cadence, like it did to Link in the Oracles games. How they have the power to isekai whomever they want, Link just happens to be the nearest fit 99% of the time. How Cadence has as much a claim to Power as Ganondorf is usually given.
And the ITEMS. The SWORDS. Where did Caladbolg come from? Where did Fragarach? Why does the Jeweled Dagger look Sheikah-made? Why can I put Link in glass slippers?
Tumblr media
Also Yves my beloved. My little hero sprout. I love you.

Day 7: Frozen Grotto (Cadence of Hyrule)
Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the Necrodancer feat. The Legend of Zelda is a crossover whose long title should be pretty self-evident. Cadence teams up with Link and Zelda to fight to the beat of the music, and save Hyrule from the evil musician Octavo.
Tumblr media
To reach him, they need to defeat Octavo's four champions and retrieve the instruments from them. One is found in this frozen grotto below Lake Hylia. However, we can't get in because of the deep water.
Tumblr media
Helping the nearby Zora prince has him give you the Zora Flippers, allowing Link and crew to swim in deep water. Now we can reach the grotto.
Tumblr media
There are lots of slippery ice floors in here, which you slide on while still moving to the beat.
Tumblr media
The dungeons in this game take a bit more from the Necrodancer side than the Zelda side. Each floor is randomly generated when you enter, and you have to move to the beat while enemies swarm around you.
Tumblr media
Most will be familiar to Zelda players, including the dreaded Ice Keese. Their AI behaviors are mostly based on Necrodancer enemies. They dance in predictable patterns, enabling those with good timing and perception to beat them down without suffering a hit.
Tumblr media
Each floor is concluded by a midboss fight. Here Zelda has to take down a Frost Talus. It can't be hurt by standard attacks, so you have to either wait until it becomes vulnerable or use bombs to blow it up.
Tumblr media
After clearing two floors, we obtain the boss key, and can head to the main event.
Tumblr media
"Power of water, flow through my oboe with an icy cold!"
Tumblr media
You can tell this is a true successor to Necrodancer by its dedication to music puns.
Tumblr media
Wizzroboe will teleport around the field and attack by summoning snowflakes and falling icicles. These freeze over the floor, making pursuing it quite difficult.
Tumblr media
Oh, and it can freeze you too, plus summon other Wizzrobes. While stuck in an ice cube you can't move, but can't take damage either so sometimes it can be helpful.
Tumblr media
Once it's defeated, you obtain the oboe, one of the four instruments needed to reach Octavo's lair.
Oh, and it would be a damn shame if I left out the music for this one. Here's the Frozen Grotto theme, which adds an oboe to the instrumentation as you reach the second floor. The Wizzroboe fight gets its own music, which naturally also features an oboe.

Where To Find The Zora Flippers In Cadence Of Hyrule
youtube
In Cadence Of Hyrule you will need to get the Zora Flippers in order to swim. Finding the flippers can be tricky if you don’t know where to look. Check out this guide to find out where to find the Zora Flippers in Cadence Of Hyrule.
How To Swim In Cadence Of Hyrule
You will need two things to get the Zora flippers. First off you need some bombs, which are found pretty early. Second, you need to go to Lake Hylia and enter the cave of the Zora Prince. Inside of there you will see a few ghost like Zora who mostly just say …. If you speak to the one on the far right he will say something about the prince being in good hands. Place a bomb and get ready for a fight. When the bomb blows up, a ghost will come out and you need to kill it. When the ghost dies, the prince will wake up and your reward will be the Zora Flippers. You will be able to use that to get to the frozen part of the lake and access the dungeon.

About Triple Chain
I continue to think I have self-control. I continue to be wrong.
This is more or less gonna be a place where I, @destinywillowleaf, gather my thoughts on the characters, story, and setting, because there's a lot to get through. There's also gonna be help and additions from @paradoxbeta, because this whole mess would be dead in the water without her help.
Triple Chain is an "extended" version of Linked Universe, with heroes pulled from all over Hyrule's history. Some might not quite seem like they fit the bill of hero - no Master Sword, no connection to the Triforce, not even a passing mention in most history books - but for one reason or another they've all still been gathered to fight.
Meanwhile, Dark Link traverses worlds to gather strong allies to stand against the ever-growing group, creating a shadow army of his own...
(Technically this doesn't have to be connected to LU but it's what kickstarted the idea to begin with.)
TAGGING
Characters - "tc [NAME]" instead of "lu [NAME]" because I'm a coward because I don't want to pretend like I'm the only one who's had these ideas
Art - doodles and designs
Story bits - events
Lore(meta and non-meta alike) - history
Asks(?) - footnotes
Submissions(yeah right) - addendums
Memes, Development notes, other silly things through Discord - memes and nonsense

Horse - A retired racehorse with a strange vendetta against the Sheikah (OC)
