This is really depressing from a Camille POV in context, but out of context I somehow found it funny and I wanted to share, so here

"The week she arrived, double digits of workers were fired — yet NBC found the money to hire a 38-year-old beauty queen!"
The tattle tale said she's not popular with employees, adding that if it weren't for her Depp victory against ex-wife Amber Heard, she'd be a nobody.
"Camille wouldn't have been booked as a guest before working for Johnny Depp, and now she's on the staff, and folks around the office are mad," the source stated.

On @keepthyfaithandthylight’s post on Farmer Refuted being Camille arguing with someone, myself and @idefilarate have been on and off rewriting songs from Hamilton to be about FRev, and thought I should post them here.
So! We haven’t been doing this in any order, and occasionally had to cut bits as they didn’t fit with the narrative, but it should still sound excellent. I’ll be posting these with the tag #Hamilton ReWrite: FRev Edition.
We start with a very Camille song - Nonstop!
Camille: After Aux Armes I went back to North Bank
Maxime: A-after all that I went back to North Bank
I finished up my studies and I practiced law
Camille: I began to write, Maxime worked next door
Maxime: Even though we started at the very same time
Camille Desmoulins began to climb
How to account for his rise to the top?
Man, the man is non-stop
Camille: Gentlemen of the jury, I'm curious, bear with me
Are you aware that we're making hist'ry?
This is the first murder trial of our brand-new nation
The liberty behind deliberation
I intend to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt
With my assistant counsel
Maxime: Co-counsel
Camille, sit down!
Our client is innocent
Call your first witness
That's all you had to say
Camille: Okay
One more thing–
Maxime: Why do you assume you're the smartest in the room?
Why do you assume you're the smartest in the room?
Why do you assume you're the smartest in the room?
Soon that attitude may be your doom!
Why do you write like you're running out of time?
Write day and night like you're running out of time?
Every day you fight, like you're running out of time
Keep on fighting, in the meantime-
Camille: Corruption's such an old song that we can sing
Along in harmony and nowhere is it stronger
Than in St Germaine
This country's economy's increasingly stalling and
Honestly that's why he's just public service seems
To be calling me
I practiced the law, I practically perfected it
I've seen injustice in the world and I've corrected it
Now for a strong central democracy
If not, then I'll be Socrates
Throwing verbal rocks at these mediocrities
Maxime: Camille, at the National Convention
Camille: I was chosen for the National Convention!
Maxime: There as a Cordeliers junior delegate
Camille: Now what I'm going to say may sound indelicate
Maxime: Goes and proposes his own form of government (What?)
His own plan for a new form of government (What?)
Talks for six hours, the convention is listless
Lafayette: Bright young man
Brissot: Yo, who the eff is this?
Maxime and Danton: Why do you always say what you believe?
Why do you always say what you believe?
Every proclamation guarantees
Free ammunition for your enemies (Awww!)
Why do you write like it's going out of style? (Hey)
Write day and night like it's going out of style? (Hey)
Every day you fight like it's going out of style
Do what you do
Maxime: Camille?
Camille: Maximilian, sir
Maxime: Well, it's the middle of the night
Camille: Can we confer, sir?
Maxime: Is this a legal matter?
Camille: Yes, and it's important to me
Maxime: What do you need?
Camille: Maxime, you're a better lawyer than me
Maxime: Okay
Camille: I know I talk too much, I'm abrasive
You're incredible in court
You're succinct, persuasive
My client needs a strong defense
You're the solution
Maxime: Who's your client?
Camille: The new Old Cordelier?
Maxime: No
Camille: Hear me out
Maxime: No way!
Camille: A series of essays, anonymously published
Defending the document to the public
Maxime: No one will read it
Camille: I disagree
Maxime: And if it fails?
Camille: Maxime, that's why we need it
Maxime: The meaning's a mess
Camille: So it needs amendments
Maxime: It's full of contradictions
Camille: So is independence
We have to start somewhere
Maxime. No, no way
Camille: You're making a mistake
Maxime: Good night
Camille: Hey
What are you waiting for?
What do you stall for? (What?)
We won the war
What was it all for?
Do you support this pamphlet?
Maxime: Of course
Camille: Then defend it
Maxime: And what if you're backing the wrong horse?
Camille: Maxime, we studied and we fought and we killed
For the notion of a nation we now get to build
For once in your life, take a stand with pride
I don't understand how you stand to the side
Maxime: I'll keep all my plans close to my chest
(Wait for it, wait for it, wait)
I'll wait here and see which way the wind will blow
I'm taking my time, watching the afterbirth of a nation
Watching the tension grow
Lucile: Look at where you are
Look at where you started
The fact that you're alive is a miracle
Just stay alive, that would be enough
And if your wife could share a fraction of your time
If I could grant you peace of mind
Would that be enough?
Maxime: Camille joins forces with George’s Danton
And Fabre D’Eglantine to write a series of essays
Defending the new Convention
Entitled Le Vieux Cordelier
The plan was to write a total of 25 essays
The work divided evenly among the three men
In the end, they wrote 85 essays
In the span of six months
Fabre got sick after writing five
Georges Danton wrote 29
Camille wrote the other 51
How do you write like you're running out of time? (Running out of time?)
Write day and night like you're running out of time? (Running out of time?)
Every day you fight, like you're running out of time
Like you're running out of time
Are you running out of time? Awwww!
How do you write like tomorrow won't arrive?
How do you write like you need it to survive?
How do you write every second you're alive?
Every second you're alive? Every second you're alive?
Danton: They're asking me to lead
I am doing the best I can
To get the people that I need
I'm asking you to be my right-hand man (Secretary or Accountant?)
I know it's a lot to ask (Secretary or Accountant?)
To leave behind the world you know
Camille: Sir, do you want me to be your Secretary or your accountant?
Danton: Secretary
Camille: Let's go!
Lucile: Camille
Camille: I have to leave
Lucile: Camille–
Camille: Look around, look around at how lucky we are to be alive right now
Lucile: Helpless
All: They are asking me to lead
Look around, isn't this enough?
He never will be satisfied (What would be enough)
He will never be satisfied (To be satisfied)
Satisfied, satisfied
History has its eyes on you (Look around)
Why do you assume you're the smartest in the room?
Why do you assume you're the smartest in the room? (Non-stop)
Why do you assume you're the smartest in the room? (Non-stop)
Why do you assume you're the smartest in the room? (History has its eyes)
Why do you fight like you're running out of time? (Non-stop)
Why do you fight like
History has its eyes on you
Camille: I am not throwin' away my shot (Just you wait)
I am not throwin' away my shot (Just you wait)
I am Camille Desmoulins
Desmoulins, just you wait
I am not throwin' away my shot

Hi,
I make period drama style gifs. If you use gif packs, please like and reblog them. Most of my projects are already ready, but every day I post no more than 190 gifs. Because that was the reason why my previous account was blocked.
I tried to make gif packs in a format more familiar to you with a link to a separate page. However, unfortunately, I did not succeed because of the large format of high-quality gifs.
I want to explain about color processing. Usually, I improve the contrast, brightness and saturation, but leave the naturalness of the film. I don't make the contours too sharp because I like the aesthetic of it looking like a natural image.

Update on the Depp vs. Heard case
Tumblr media
Depp's attorneys, Camille Vasquez and Benjamin Chew, tell us, "We are pleased to formally close the door on this painful chapter for Mr. Depp, who made clear throughout this process his intent to bring the truth to light."
They continue, "This was never about the money. The jury's unanimous decision and the judgment in his favor against Ms. Heard remain fully in place, and the payment of $1M -- which Mr. Depp is pledging and will donate to charities -- reinforces Ms. Heard's acknowledgment of the conclusion of the legal system's rigorous pursuit for justice."

Do you know where (if anywhere) did Claretie get the (rather widely spread) story of Camille having to be forcibly dragged from the courtroom after they shut down the indulgents trial ?
To answer exactly, we don’t know, since Claretie refuses to give any references for the story when reporting it.
I found the story reported in Édouard Fleury’s Biographie de Camille Desmoulins (1850) that was published 27 years before Claretie’s book, so at least it’s not something Claretie himself just went and dreamed up. Fleury does however not cite any sources for it either, so it’s still unclear from where exactly it originates. It does not come from the short biography Camille’s relative Marcellin Matton wrote over him (first published 1834), an account which otherwise is the origin of many myths about Camille in general and the dantonist trial in particular. It cannot be found in the notes Topino-Lebrun, jury member during the trial, left of it. It gets mentioned in neither Le tribunal révolutionnaire de Paris, Histoire Parlementaire de la Révolution française, Le procès des Dantonistes, d'après les documents, précédé d'une introduction historique. Recherches pour servir à l'histoire de la révolution française nor Camille et Lucile Desmoulins: un rêve de république, works that all still document the trial in detail. That the last book doesn’t say anything about the anecdote is especially concerning to me, considering its author is typically very rigorous in his research.
All that said, I’m not yet entirely comfortable with writing the anecdote off. The dantonist trial is one of those events where it has become very hard to seperate legend from fact, and where many things that sound like the former actually are the latter. That Camille shouted ”the scroundels! Not content with murdering me, they also want to murder my wife!” when finding out Lucile had been arrested as well does for example sound like something that could easily be an embellisment, but it was actually reported by an eye witness during the Fouquier-Tinville trial in 1795. Likewise, the claim that Camille struggled so much with the guards escorting him to the guillotine that his shirt was ripped apart was mentioned by a different eye witness already in 1799. Next to this, it doesn’t exactly sound impossible for the idea that he had to be dragged out of the courtroom to be true too, but we definitely need a primary source for it first.

Elaine trying her own 15 minutes of fame by basically suggesting the jury went against the rules and checked social media and that it was unjust because it was televised. She is as delusional as her client at this point.
The jury, just like the rest of us, had to listen hours of AH shirking like a possessed woman. They had enough evidence Elaine, evidence that she is abusive. Don't come now with lies about the supposed things that they didn't let you show.
What had Camille said? Everyone is lying except her. The judge lies, the jury lies, the random people testifying from their cars and that had no relationship with JD lied. Everyone lies except AH, yeah sure. 🙄

I'd been avoiding all the derpp trial videos showing up on youtube like the plague, but yesterday a lawyer channel uploaded a video "making sense of the verdict" and out of curiosity I clicked on it.
All the comments are some variation of "so what about perjury/Amber lied about being abused under oath"
Like this whole shitshow of a trial was litigation abuse to drag Amber through the mud and all these sheeple think that because the jury that was obviously influenced by all the smear campaigning and social media frenzy, and let's not forget that abuse in and of itself is damn near impossible to get a conviction for in the first place, decided that a proven abuse victim somehow defamed a rich white man by claiming she suffered abuse. And somehow that verdict is proof that she lied about being abused?
Absolute. Bull. Shit.
yep. also the lawyer youtubers are a thing also to bring up into this constant cycle of misinformation and people feeling like they know the law. these “lawyers” have seen an opportunity for easy clicks and money by being pro-depp and are willing to say anything to ensure a steady stream of income and clout. so they feed into the spot of lawyer that the pro-deppies need on their ‘he’s innocent’ bingo card.
like they throw around the objection hearsay joke as if they know what it means, as if it’s not normal to object to hearsay and as if camille vasquez didn’t do the exact same (i would argue even more) to amber during her cx. and the perjury thing is so stupid because where is solid evidence that she perjured herself? i’m yet to see an example. because there is solid evidence to back up her being abused and her stories have been consistent, so no perjury there.
i think i’ve seen maybe 1 or 2 law youtubers actually give an honest take on the trial. but the rest. such as a certain emily d baker i think that’s her name, have been believed like they speak the gospel (even though she’s very very anti-amber and also has said some gross things about breanna taylor.) and some other twitter lawyer i think? is a raging misogynist. and i’ve seen a lot of people say they only watched the trial through these lawyers on youtube and i immediately think that then they do not know anything because they have never formed their own opinions because they’ve been straight away into the pro depp stuff because these “lawyers” want to make money. while any other lawyers or real lawyers in articles and stuff are discounted because they’re not saying what they wanna hear.
johnny has been found to have abused amber time and time again in the court system (in 2 different countries). even this time they had to have found some truth to her allegations for her to have been defamed by him. they continue to baffle me with their pure stupidity.
this trial should never have been live streamed. the jury should have been sequestered. from the get go this trial was balanced against amber. as it usually is against victims of abuse because those abusers are almost always men and powerful men are always going to be believed before women/“weaker” men.

Something Camille Vasquez did very well as a lawyer is she let the jury form their own opinions. People tend to remember things more if they feel as though they came to the conclusion themselves, so not holding their hand every step of the way is a good move as an attorney. However a bad move for the public because some of y'all are so dumb-

"The ones that were altered?"
The look on their faces as the jury is being told how Heard’s “injury” pics had been edited 🤣

You ever watched the trial of amber heard and said that her facial expression is poor and fake.
Of course I did. Her expressions are literally so hilarious: the pausing for her to think of more bullshit to spew about Johnny, the carbon copy of these ☹️😖🥴 emojis, the fake tears (Camille even called her out for always being bad at fake-crying when acting) and aggressive wiping, the constantly shaking her head and looking around at the jury whenever she’s asked a question (to which she always dodges).
The signs are literally spelled out for everyone, yet there are still idiots who support that wretched vermin (remembering that always makes me feel better when I feel stupid).
Check this TikTok out, it’s an “Amber Turd Heard once said” vid and it’s literally so funny: https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSdgqSjWy/?k=1

Adèle Exarchopoulos and Léa Seydoux in Blue Is the Warmest Color (Abdellatif Kechiche, 2013)
Cast: Léa Seydoux, Adèle Exarchopoulos, Salim Kechiouche, Aurélien Recoing,  Catherine Salée, Benjamin Siksou, Mona Walravens, Alma Jodorowsky, Jérémie Laheurte, Anne Loiret, Benoît Pilot. Screenplay: Abdellatif Kechiche, Ghalya Lacroix, based on a graphic novel by Jul Maroh. Cinematography: Sofian El Fani. Film editing: Sophie Brunet, Ghalya Lacroix, Albertin Lastera, Jean-Marie Lengelle, Camille Toubkis
Though it was cut down by its team of five editors from 800 hours worth of footage, it's still at least half an hour too long. And considering the controversies that have arisen since its release, including charges of abuse by the director of not only the lead actresses but also the crew, the sex scenes inevitably have something exploitative about them. But Blue Is the Warmest Color remains exceptional in large part because it's one of the most intimate portraits of a human relationship on film. The jury at Cannes was right in citing not only the director but also the two actresses, Adèle Exarchopoulos and Léa Seydoux, when it gave the film the Palme D'Or. Exarchopoulos in particular demonstrates a rare courage, not for exposing her body but for allowing the rawness of her emotions to show forth. There are moments when her character, Adèle (Kechiche changed the character's name from "Clémentine" when he cast her), becomes almost pitiable in her helpless infatuation with Seydoux's Emma, Exarchapoulos's fresh beauty becoming disfigured in her portrayal of Adèle's suffering at the inability to make the kind of fusion she desires with Emma. It's a fable about the limitations of love that transcends sexual orientation. The film's NC-17 rating once again demonstrates the wrong-headedness of the American ratings board's approach to sexuality, as opposed to its blithe acceptance of any extreme of violence in film.

Kodak Black Criticizes Tory Lanez Verdict; Disses Jay-Z & Roc Nation: Watch
Tumblr media
Kodak Black is another artist who doesn’t believe the verdictin the Megan Thee Stallion shooting case against Tory Lanez is fair.
Taking to Instagram Live, the rapper criticized the verdict against Tory Lanez, saying there was a lack of evidence. The jury sided with the state, believing Megan Thee Stallion’s case and finding the Canadian singer-rapper guilty on all three counts, including shooting the Houston rapper.

“Who advised this sh*t before Christmas? And Jay-Z standing behind this, you a f*ck n*gga homie,” Kodak said, dissing Jay-Z and believing the wild rumors that his company Roc Nation has a big role to play in the case. “And Meg, you supposed to be from the streets …. even it was a gunshot on your foot (and not pavement fragments) … I know a b*tch who got shot in the toe, too. I know a female who got shot in the toe. You don’t see her talking about sending n*ggas to jail.” He also called Tory a “good n*gga.”

— muliani (@MulianiEnt) December 28, 2022
“This shit aint right, homie. For real, bro,” Kodak continued. “And Tory Lanez a good nigga, bro…This shit fu**ing with my Christmas Eve. Everybody shit ain’t for me to speak on. But it’s like ni**as aint finna talk about that. Ni**as finna act like this shit ain’t never happen. I don’t know. I wasn’t in the courtroom. But at the same time, if it is some fu**ed up shit going on, ni**as ain’t gonna wanna say nothing because of the politics bullshit. And all of this Jay-Z shit. But I don’t like that shit nan bit.”

Heard not looking at Camille Vasquez while answering her manipulative questions was such a dignity move if I ever saw it. I would’ve done the same thing. Despite that one coward juror coming out and saying it made him uncomfortable that Heard kept making eye contact with the jury. People hate women who refuse bow down. Everyone saying Vasquez “destroyed” her is funny to me. She didn’t shake her up in the slightest.
