This is a very niche headcanon, but Emmet’s fondness of combinations extends to food combos. He has made a complete chart on every possible combination of flavors and toppings of their local Castelliacone stand. He gets enrichment from ration charts.
(This is me projecting as a neurodivergent)
wait that’s actually so cool!!! i feel like Emmet would make it big as one of those uhhhhh tier list youtubers. you give him any food and he probably CAN make a tier list for it (and then a two hour version for his extended thoughts on all his choices)
i can also see him fully using this power for evil and making Ingo watch in horror as he eats the most cursed food combinations fhdskjfhdskjfds

I was gonna not participate because Squire is my only guy with any lore I've shared on Tumblr but heck it
@kirbyoctournament
Name:
Lydia
Reference Image/s:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
^for eye color
Notes on Personality (optional, but preferred!):
Lydia is generally optimistic, but does her best to keep an air of professionalism. She tends to take her position seriously, but will be friendly to those who do not directly oppose her goals.
Backstory and Lore (optional):
Lydia was an ordinary Ripple Star Fairy once upon a time, when she heard a message in a dream telling her that someone needed help, and so she followed her instincts to Ripple Star's Fountain of Dreams. There, she met the Spirit of the Fountain of Dreams, who explained that the issue was that as the Spirit of the Fountain of Dreams, she could not leave the Fountain to deliver messages. The message Lydia had heard in her head was a test by the Spirit, that proved to the latter that communicating through dreams was not as effective as she'd hoped, since Lydia was the only person to take it as anything other than a dream. As such, Lydia was offered the chance to serve as the Spirit's personal messenger; who could deliver warnings and other information to the Star Warriors if need be.
HERE'S THE DEAL:
I'm gonna steal the idea that @itsquakey (sorry for the ping) did for Castellia last year and reveal more lore for Lydia the farther she gets into the tournament, whether it be through the winner's or loser's bracket.

So thanks to pt 1 of the dlc, we now know that Blueberry Academy is based somewhere off the coast of Unova- it's both a curve ball I wasn't expecting in any capacity and also... somewhat in my face now that I think about it. Blueberries are native to North America. Unova, as it stands, is the most American region there is atm.
But now I'm curious about something.
Tumblr media
A few months back I posted this asking for help identifying the coast line- this is a smart board from a classroom in BBA from a trailer.
Tumblr media
THIS is the map of Unova as we currently understand it from BW2
I almost want to say the coast line featured in the smart board could be Castellia, but that doesn't look right. If it were, wouldn't you think they'd try to incorporate the hand- shaped docks?
Not to mention, there's some shit going on in that map. Looks like a tornado in one area, blizzards in others, lightning storms... instinct says the genies, but that's just a guess.
I wonder if Unova had some shit happen to it since we last saw it, cuz it looks like it's being hit by a ton of bad weather.
Also makes me wonder if it's somehow setting up for a Legends Unova, but it's set in a modern day/future unova that's being beset by natural disasters.
Blueberry Academy is a recent build apparently according to official info- yet they somehow have this huge terrarium underwater filled with Pokémon. Not to mention they are hard-core focused on battles.
Theory Time: BBA is some sort of sanctuary- a would be Noah's Arc of some kind, and trainers have to get stronger for a REASON.
I'm not going to kid myself into believing we're going to get to explore Unova during pt 2 or get a full fledged explanation, but it does leave me curious why they would purposely choose Unova. Nothing quite like this has happened since Johto and Kanto. If it were just nothing, they could have just plopped it in the Canary Islands off the coast of Spain/Paldea. Hell what's more surprising is that they resisted the urge to plop it near Kanto, since they love jacking gen 1 off so much.
So why Unova then if not some kind of set up?

🫵how about you noah!!! How do you feel about legends being set entirely in lumiose!!! What do u think pokemon encounters are going to look like???? 🎤
i am feeling normal and sensible ways about this. and by that i mean i am kind of going insane. i dont want to assume anything and get my hopes too far up, im one of those people who just appreciates what we get as it comes out, so im trying not to fantasize and just be excited we're getting a pokémon z at all after 12yrs
i assume pokémon encounters are going to be like in the castellia sewers and im fine with that

robin. they/them. sucks ass at introductions.
i'm a student at castellia university studying legendary and mythical pokemon. please dont message me about how "legendaries arent real" and im "not a true scholar." ive heard it enough.
my only pokemon are my darling absol, abigail, and my unusually small archen, oatcake. it gets crammed enough with just the three of us in this apartment.
EDIT: i now am in the care of a baby hisuian sneasel!! need to get a new card printed
also if you see something typing
<(LIKE THIZ)>
that is my rotom, pocket monster energy zero ultra. please ignore them. they are beyond my control.
Tumblr media
shoot me a message, especially if you want to talk about legendaries or other such history from your region. im also interested in the space-time distortion phenomenon.
admin & ooc info
cassinis back with a fourth blog and this time its a self insert! holy shit! except robin actually goes to school and generally contributes to society. as always, this is a side blog, my main is @plasmaapologist!
robin acts a lot like myself and is my most self inserty character, but regardless heres some notes!
- sapient pokemon interaction is okay! robin wont necessarily believe you, but they'll play along. legendaries, however, will probably get a tint bit bullied.
- robin is also okay with she/her but tends not to mention it
- can ramble. will ramble. probably even worse than me with it.
- can come off as a tad blunt and rude, though they normally dont mean it. if theyre actually trying to insult you, you will be able to tell
- she will do anything for a good bit
- i am a lore theorist. this blog will likely be my least canon compliant, especially with all the discussions about legendaries that will inevitably happen

A Father's Resolve - Ch 3
Ingo returns after a decade - with two extra cars in tow. Years later, his kids are swallowed up by time in the same way he was. Will he be able to find them? Will they be able to make it out alive?
Word Count: ~1200
Rei blinked his eyes open, groaning. The voice above him finally stopped yelling. Boy, he had a headache.
"Oh thank goodness, you're awake."
He sat up and looked around. Where had that creature gone? The one with the light? He was laying on a beach, sunlight beating down on him. Waves lapped lazily at the sand. Not a cloud was in the sky.
A chirp caught his attention. Three pokemon stood before him. One he had seen a few times before, with a white head and a light blue body. What was… Oshawott, a water type. There was a bird pokemon next to it, round, with large eyes. And the third had a large head and an awkward, waddling gait, with a long, thin snout. Behind them was a pair of shoes, attached to a pair of legs. Rei stared at them for a moment, then looked to his left.
His sister was sprawled out on the sand next to him. He nudged her. "Hey. Akari, get up." She tried to slap his hand, but he grabbed her wrist. "Come on, get up. We're… I don't actually know. It's not Castellia, though"
She cracked her eyes open and looked around. Her brow furrowed as she felt the sand in her fingers. She sat up, sand falling from her hair as she took in the scenery. "Where are we?"
The figure next to them spoke again. Rei blinked as he realized the language he used. It was not Unovan. "Oh perfect, you both seem unharmed. You just had a nasty fall from the sky." The man gestured to a mountain in the distance with some kind of swirling hole over it. That in the name of Arceus was that?
Arceus.
He was pulled from his frantic thoughts as Akari looked at Rei and whispered in Unovan, "Why is he speaking Hisuian?"
Rei shrugged. He truthfully had no idea. "Just go with it for now," he whispered back. That seemed like the best idea to get answers.
"Y-yeah, I feel alright," Akari said finally, switching her tongue. She blinked as she noticed three small pokemon around. They all stood around the two of them, watching them with large eyes (except the one with the long snout. Could it open its eyes at all?)
The man wore a long white coat and a knitted purple hat with a big pom pom on top of it. His skin was an olive color, some stubble in his chin. He seemed like an agreeable person.
"W-who are you?" Rei asked him.  "Where are we?"
"Oh goodness, where are my manners? My name is Laventon. I'm something of a pokemon professor," he grinned.
"I'm Akari," his sister said, "and this is my brother Rei."
"Good to meet you!" the man smiled. "As to where you are, this is Prelude Beach. Might you have anyone in the area you might know to stay with?"
The twins looked at each other and shook their heads. They highly doubted that.
The Professor's face fell a little. "No one at all? And nowhere to even spend the night? My, it seems we might be in a proper pickle…" He rubbed his chin.
"Oh, but I forgot! I'd just caught up to these three runaway pokemon when you both fell from the sky… it was as if they knew you would appear here!" He gestured proudly to the pokemon around them. "You do know what pokemon are, yes?"
They both nodded immediately. That was an odd question. They'd grown up with them. Hasn't everyone?
"That is a relief, even if you came from the sky, it seems we have some common ground. These three belong to me! I am hoping to deepen out understanding of these creatures-"
Rei wanted to ask him more questions, his head swimming, but then the pokemon bolted and Laventon started yelling for them to come back. Rei looked at his sister, who shrugged, and they had no choice but to follow. They jogged to keep up. Despite the fact that he looked around their father's age, he could certainly put some distance between them.
"Rei, look." Akari had paused and was staring at something on the ground. It was glowing. And it was beeping at them. How had he missed it? She reached down and plucked it out of the grass. It was a phone, white with golden rings. It kind of looked like the emergency phone they kept on them at their father's request, in case something happened to their Xtrans.
The screen flashed with a text message. I bestow upon thee this Arc Phone and thy mission: to seek out all pokemon.
"It's just like the light in the dream," Rei breathed.
"Rei, that wasn't just a light, or a dream." Akari inspected the phone, looking at the backside. "That was Arceus. It wants us to find all the pokemon."
"Arceus?"
"Don't you remember?" Now that she mentioned it, he did remember early in the (very one-sided) conversation that it mentioned its name.
"Why us? Isn't there someone more qualified?" Rei cocked his head as he stared at the phone.
"I have no idea." Akari shrugged. "We'd better go see what Laventon wants, anyhow. This seems a good enough way to get to know what's going on. Maybe we'll learn why it sent us here in the first place."
It was banking on a lot, but Rei relented. They ran after Laventon, who was still chasing around the three baby pokemon.

"You mentioned that Hisui is riddled with space-time distortions, yes?" Juniper looked at a book in front of her.
Ingo nodded his head. He had a book open in front of him. The more he read about these ultra wormholes, the more it just didn't feel right. The actual falling was different. It wasn't a tearing sound witnesses reported, more of a vanishing. A burst of light and poof! They were gone.
Emmet looked at his poor brother. He had lost weight. He was refusing to eat or sleep, hellbent on finding the twins now. He had large dark circles under his eyes, his hair was unkempt. He had been wearing the same clothes for the last couple days. Emmet worried for him.
"Well," Juniper said, looking across the table at them, "it seems that it would make sense for them to have been taken to the same time, yes? I can find no other place in history that has that kind of instability. And I'm seeing some records of two siblings by the same names-"
"Those are the heros," Ingo said tiredly. "They are who the twins are named after. Their mother said she'd never been beaten in battle like that before and admired them."
"Hmm." Juniper flipped a page, looking through the book. "I still feel like this makes the most sense. I believe they may have been taken back to Hisui."
"Hisui is dangerous," Ingo fretted. "Tons of wild pokemon… alphas… sudden cliffs and floods and avalanches… what if they get dropped right in an alpha's den?"
Emmet squeezed his brother's shoulder. "If they are in Hisui, I daresay they are better equipped than you were. Not only do they have their pokemon teams and each other, they also know the language. They have to remember something."
Ingo sighed deeply and rubbed his hands along his face. His beard was growing long and unkempt. Emmet knew they had many more long nights like this awaiting. He hoped that they really were alright.

You know what my favorite thing about Trip is?
He's the polar opposite of Absol:
When he's here with you, everything's fine (apart from his abrasive personality)!
The MOMENT he leaves your sight, your area almost gets nuked and/or a legendary appears.
No fucking in-between! Funny normal lil guy, cursed by every deity on this plane of existence to never live anything exciting whatsoever!
I'm not even exaggerating: He leaves the lab? Zeckrom appears. He leaves Castellia City? The city almost gets nuked by an ancient artifact. He doesn't join Alder for lunch? A Pokemon goes berserk. He leaves the series after the League's first turn? Neo Team Plasma shenanigans.
It's the funniest shit. I adore my normal man so much y'all have no fucking idea.

[A Neutral Memory. This takes place after Ken moves to Unova. He is around 17-18 years old .]
Ken makes it into Unova, where he goes to start anew. He gets a new trainer ID, one with the name he prefers over his birth name, he finds a way to get new clothes so he isn’t walking around wearing his team galactic uniform. He doesn’t want people knowing he’s part of a now-disbanded evil organization…
He finds himself a navy blue trench coat, a lilac necktie and sash, dark grey pants, and boots, along with some undershirts and whatnot. As he goes through Unova, he realizes how much more open and accepting Unova is than Sinnoh. With that he had access to the care he needed, physically and mentally. Though, once he reached Castellia city, he wasn’t too happy, as the massive amount of people made him a tad anxious….but aside from the crowds of people, he liked Unova so much more than sinnoh.
