Today is one of those days where I need more mobility aids than I have access to. An electric wheelchair would be optimal, but as an undiagnosed chronically ill minor, there’s no way I’m getting one.

Pain killers are doing nothing and I’ve had to actually fold up one of my crutches because of the pain it’s causing me, which means each step affects my body double the amount it normally would.

One of my forearm bones has slipped out of place bad enough that there’s a visible difference between my arms, and everything I’ve tried won’t put it or keep it back in. At this point I’m tempted to living mummy myself to keep shit in place, as I’m tired and don’t know what else I can do.

This amount of pain is not normal. It may be my normal, but it is not what people are supposed to be going through nearly daily. People are not built to both feel this and successfully complete tasks. Some people rebuild themselves to, and all my respect goes to them, but the pain itself is not normal. We live in a system that actively makes it harder to get relief for this pain. It forces us to be dependent on painkillers because we are expected to work and exist through it.

You deserve breaks.

You deserve comfort.

You deserve activities you enjoy.

Your ability to work does not equal your worth.
