since we all appear to be talking about izzy 'calling the police' on stede id like to offer my silly little two cents:
its not like the navy wasn't actively looking for him anyway??????
at most, izzys actions sped up badminton catching up with stede, but its made very clear that badminton wanted Stede dead well before this, and was willing to use whatever he could to find him- whos to say jackie wouldnt have cut a deal on her own? that any other pirate thats seen them being unsubtle in a port wouldn't take the opportunity to make a quick buck over a guy who is Nobody and holds no influence that could lead to any consequences for them?
in reality izzy is probably the only person who would receive negative repercussions to selling out stede, given his personal connection with ed- any other pirate would probably have gotten away unscathed, anonymous. they likely wouldnt have even been present like izzy was. izzy had personal stakes, anyone else would have taken the money and ran
the way i see it, with or without izzy the events of episode 10 probably would have happened in some degree, izzy just expedited the timeline

sorry i just remembered my stupid fuckig forensics class I took in high school. the teacher was a bootlicker but like one time he had us fill out a questionnaire on “sonething we might be addicted to” and got mad when all of us chose shit like coffee or video games or our phone. like did he actually expect us to admit to taking drugs.

In reflecting upon my 29 years upon this earth, I have realized that I have done relatively harmless actions that others would most definitely not approve of. I am curious if I am alone in these or if they are as common as I think they are.
(sorry if some of these are more anatomy specific)

Just remembered when my 11th grade sociology & psychology teacher told us that she always kept her front door & her car unlocked bc if someone stole something from her then it means they're desperate enough to need it
While I do think that's awesome thinking, I always keep my doors locked because cops are the most likely people to break into your house & I've only ever been robbed by them😬

family lore is the best drama in the world. soap opera level stories and your parents, aunties, uncles and grandparents are just so blunt about it cause they thought you knew

There’s a time and a place to criticize or make fun of someone’s religion and culture, just like anything else. A family/a community still being highly psychologically distressed from shock, trauma, and grief is a good starting point with when to remind yourself to stfu with that.

id like to say. six hours after reblogging a post. (i was at work). that me being grounded by my mom that 1 time for a whole month was specifically for getting caught by police NOT for the graffiti itself. my mom had 1 strong policy in the house which was you can do whatever you want forever but do not make me have to deal with some bullshit

What also sucks is that I don’t have another therapy session scheduled until 3 weeks from now for a variety of reasons, and now I’m gonna have to actually do the boundaries thing when I didn’t think I’d have to so soonnnn

I feel like theatre kids have a really strong natural instinct for how much of a pause you should keep before you say something because like.
okay. when i'm messing around with Mom theatre friends and we say something at the same time it's always off like. one of us is slightly behind or whatnot.
but my theatre friends? PERFECT. like someone says something, slight dramatic pause, and then PERFECT unison when we jinx eachother. without trying. no messy "speaking at different speeds." it's almost culty

I don't begrudge anyone for ever being like "yeah I don't know if I really wanna be your friend" and especially not just, like, drifting away y'know?
But the point it immediately switches from "aw, sad, that friendship got away from us huh" to "hey fuck you actually it kinda sucks I even miss you at this point" is when you just, like, leave mt discord server, or block me on some social media. Like how hard is it to go "hey I'ma leave the server for a while" before you go and just not come back.
Like if you're gonna make a clean break like that you definitely at least have enough of a valid reason to be like "what you've been posting has been kinda upsetting so I just don't want it on my timeline rn" like that's fine. Me noticing a week later you're not there doesn't just tell me you have some problem with me it tells me you think so little of me that the shock and hurt of seeing you just ditching was preferable to whatever you imagined I'd say.

me: it's okay to open up your heart again! you are allowed to love and be loved! the love you may feel for another will not replace the love you had for her, but she's gone now and she would want you to move on!!

I'm always annoyed when people talk about France in regard of protest/insurrection because on one hand there's an issue of French people being portrayed as ferocious revolutionary who will fight anything, which is an exaggeration...
But then there's always someone going "oh but they don't have violent cops that kill" them, and like... yes we do, that's also a problem here.

The most unrealistic part about exRID is that people actually got mad about Jazz killing a cop.
