Oh my god(desses) that took so. Much. SANDING. My wrists will scream tomorrow! Anyway, here's the update on the muses: The faces have been all sculpted for closer resemblance (or at least I tried, I'm not very familiar with human faces sculpting), Calliope's body is now taller (Mattel, please give us more tall mtm skintones) while Thalia's is now shorter and curvier. This was a nightmare to do because I still wanted to grant her as much posability as possible while also not making her look weird shaped. I think it shoul be good enough, but I'll have a clearer look once I paint the whole thing. Still on the fence about this girl's vitiligo. I feel like it's not "smooth" enough. Even though I was trying to go for a less even vitiligo with little islands and what have you, I think I ended up more streaky than "cute islands" 😔 But then again, vitiligo presents in SO MANY beautiful patterns and shapes, maybe she's just telling me who she is instead of letting me dictate her stlye? The first time I did Hercules' Muses I simply used five standard heads, the same one for all of them, and the result was...well. I was inexperienced.
