WB Billions being fond of Dahlia.

I feel like despite being good with and axe Dahlia never really connected to many of the Timber Cats, only really being close to Yumyan and Molly. So when WB Billions came along she sorta just hovered around him, and she was the first one to comfort him on BB Billions being cured. I also HC that Dahlia managed to get Cured! BB Billions to trust her and the Newton wolves.

Gosh WBillions just utterly distraught in the village because BBillions was cured and trying to do hard to comfort him, but WB being in distress puts BB in distress.

Dahlia comes over and cautiously makes herself known, as to avoiding accidentally sneaking up on them. WB doesn’t pay her much mind until she speaks up, gives him a few comforting words and sits by him. He doesn’t really respond, but allows her to stay as he tries to work through a lot of emotions.

Hes very frustrated and upset. He’s not happy about his brother, his closest friend, not acting like himself. Acting like WB is someone new or a threat because he’s in distress. He’s been trying to get a good response for most of the day with little success. Dahlia sees this and so badly wants to help. Words of comfort only means so much to a mute who 1) wasnt all that into humans to begin with and 2) just got traumatized by humans. So she racks her brains for other ideas.

“Hold out your hand to him.”

“What?” He’s not sure if he should be more surprised she spoke to him or that she’s telling him to do something. “I watched a lotta old world videos, and humans would always hold their hands out for a dog to get their scent.”

“That’s preposterous! His nose should’ve already picked up my scent-“

“Like this.” She holds out her hand to BBillions, who was resting a few paces from the two. He lifted his head towards her.

She gets on her knees and scoots closer, slowly, as to not startle him. She holds out her hand a few inches from his snout. WBillions has his eyes trained on her.

BBillions looks at the hand and slowly leans forward to give it a few tentative sniffs. Upon getting what she thought was a good response, she slowly lifts her hand to pet his head.

WBillions gawks at her audacity and then his jaw drops more when BB seems to like it enough to wag his tail.

“Wh- how- excuse me!?” He stammers.

“Told you.” She chuckled. “Here, hold your hand out. Er... paw?”

Memorized, he scoots closer and holds his hand out like she did. Dahlia stops petting when BBillions turns to him. He leans forward and sniffs only twice before quickly getting out of Dahlia’s grasp to like WBillions face.

“Wah! Brother no! Down!” He laughs. “Stop this!”

Dahlia can’t help but laugh along.

WBillions warms up to her a lot more after that. Talking to her more and even properly introducing her to the rest of the pact. She helps build his trust in better humans.
