Darksovls - Omegalitikum: Masa Peradaban Baru Paska Apokalips Telah Dimulai!

Darksovls, pendatang baru di ranah musik bawah tanah yang beranggotakan para wajah-wajah lama seperti Daniel Mardhany (vokal), Coki Bollemeyer (gitar), Bonny Sidharta (bass), dan Andyan Gorust (drum). Kuartet ini kembali bersekongkol melalui koalisi hitam dengan hasrat bermusik death metal yang masih berapi-api dan sulit dipisahkan.

“Kita memang mau melanjutkan apa yang dulu pernah kita lakukan bersama. Bersenang-senang, dapat uang, dan memainkan death metal. Bagi gua, rasanya mungkin ini kayak Joy Division jadi New Order atau Peterpan jadi Noah, haha..” ungkap Daniel Mardhany melalui press release.

Meskipun mereka telah melewati masa lalunya di DeadSquad, namun gak dipungkiri lagi jiwa kelam pertemanan kuartet ini tetap menyala dan disatukan kembali melalui Darksovls. Karya magis perdana yang mereka tampilkan benar-benar nyata ketika album “Omegalitikum” beredar secara resmi pada 27 Agustus 2022 via Blackandje Records.

Delapan lagu yang berada dalam Omegalitikum melahirkan komposisi death metal beringas, gelap, dan sinikal kemudian dipoles dengan racun progressive metal hingga black metal. Dengan berasaskan kegelapan, kemuakan, keresahan, dan kebencian, semua departemen lirik dieksekusi secara sempurna oleh Daniel.

Konfirmasi Vokalis Baru, DeadSquad Memuntahkan Single ‘Enigmatic Pandemonium’

Ramainya isu dalam satu tahun belakangan ini soal pergantian member dalam DeadSquad, membuat gencar ranah musik distorsi. Berawal dari sang vokalis lama Daniel Mardhany (Bonga Bonga, Darksovls) digantikan oleh Agustinus Widi, kemudian setelah beberapa bulan rilisnya album Catharsis, Widi juga keluar dan kini DeadSquad membawa kejutan dengan mengisi lini depan menggaet Vicky Mono (eks-Burgerkill) sebagai member barunya.

Bersamaan konfirmasi Vicky menjadi vokalis baru, DeadSquad sekaligus merilis single “Enigmatic Pandemonium”. Sebuah pertanyaan besar pasti timbul dari para Pasukan Mati ataupun para penikmat musik metal tanah air, kenapa vokalis sebelumnya hanya berada di tubuh DeadSquad secara singkat dan akhirnya mengejutkan dengan kembali bersama vokal terbaiknya.

Semua konsep sampai tracking Enigmatic Pandemonium selesai dikerjakan dalam waktu satu minggu aja. Berlanjut kemudian dihajar satu hari untuk penyelesaian sesi recording di studio pribadi milik Stevie. Dalam single ini, untuk kali kedua DeadSquad bekerjasama dengan Christian Donaldson (Cryptopsy) yang dipercayakan mengeksekusi proses mix dan mastering.

Gempuran output mewah, musik modern death metal yang segar, karakter vokal Vicky yang menyatu seakan membuat warna musik DeadSquad menjadi ada di level berbeda. Darksovls Datang Bersama Luapan ‘Kahar’ Dari Serpihan Katarsis Yang Paling Radikal

Serpihan katarsis yang paling sinikal dan radikal, mereka menyebut dirinya dalam pedoman itu dan terlahir dengan nama Darksovls. Andyan Gorust (drum), Bonny Sidharta (bass), Coki Bollemeyer (gitar), Daniel Mardhany (vokal) terbentuk dari kegilaan dan kehausan mereka untuk menggabungkan hasrat dalam gairah musik death metal. Mereka adalah nama-nama yang dahulunya pernah join sebagai member Deadsquad. Disini saya gak mau ngebahas apa yang terjadi pada sang vokalis Daniel setelah dikeluarkan secara sepihak dari Deadsquad kemudian berlanjut untuk membuat project ini, namun debut single Darksovls bertajuk “Kahar” menjawab pertanyaan kita semuanya.

“Lagu ini menceritakan bagaimana kami bersatu kembali dalam sebuah unit death metal. Perpanjangan dari "vibe" yang dulu pernah kami rasakan di masa lampau. Sisi lain lagu ini juga merangkum fenomena dari berbagai pihak yang kecewa dengan kondisi yang ada. Semua terekam di media sosial pun di dunia nyata. Digurat berdasarkan fakta, meninggalkan jejak digital dan suara para saksi di skena ataupun publik “, ungkap Darksovls dalam kutipan video liriknya yang sudah bisa kita akses via Youtube. Terlepas dalam hal tersebut, riff yang dibangun adanya selipan kegelapan elemen black metal berhasil diramu secara cermat. Semakin tidak sabar menunggu debut albumnya.
