My old boss finally watched the show and the only discussion we had on it was her asking two questions:
1) Who is the bloody fan in the finale?
2) Should I know these people?

2023
Mi volt jó 2023-ban? Például ezek:
Lemezek: 1. The Lemon Twigs - Everything Harmony 2. Spector - Here Come the Early Nights 3. Teenage Fanclub - Nothing Lasts Forever 4. Grian Chatten - Chaos for the Fly 5. Slowdive - Everything Is Alive 6. Jaakko Eino Kalevi - Chaos Magic 7. Sufjan Stevens - Javelin 8. Kate Davis - Fish Bowl 9. Belle and Sebastian - Late Developers 10. Sparklehorse - Bird Machine 11. The Go! Team - Get Up Sequences Part Two 12. Ash - Race The Night 13. Beach Fossils - Bunny 14. The Mountain Goats - Jenny from Thebes 15. Blur - The Ballad of Darren 16. The Coral - Sea of Mirrors
Sorozatok: 1. Dave 3 2. Ted Lasso 3 3. Somebody Somewhere 2 4. Shrinking 5. The Lying Life of Adults 6. Gólkirályság 7. Rain Dogs 8.
Ráadásul két korábbi elsöprő kedvencem, a Happy Valley 3. évada, és a Time 2.
Ash / Graz

https://ift.tt/KWy8HDm by TheGreenestBean After being promoted back to the Premier League Richmond are asked to partake in the Premier League Summer Series where six teams are sent out to play friendlies in America. I'm not Catholic (heck, I'm not even Episcopalian), but I decided to do what I'm calling "Lean Lent." I'm going to limit my discretionary spending, similar to a "No-Spend November":
No clothes, accessories, shoes, bags, etc.
No furnishings, decor, or office supplies that are not for replenishing (i.e. I run out of tape or all my pens dry out)
No makeup, skin care, etc., again unless I run out of something.
No new subscriptions (don't worry, I made sure to renew my Apple TV+ for Ted Lasso before today).
No fast food or restaurant meals; I will be the ultimate "we have food at home" self-Mom. If I want tacos, we put the ingredients on the grocery list; same goes for burgers, pizza, chicken tenders, etc
(Exception to the food rule: I am going to San Antonio for a conference the week before Easter and I can't really avoid it, BUT I can be frugal about it)
Also, I will allow a spending if I can't avoid it...car breaks down, laptop crashes, etc.
I can only hope that Darren doesn't announce a concert tour, new Broadway show, or merch for the next 40 days.

Ted Lasso Fanfic Challenge 2023 - February
February’s Challenge:  Mystery Characters
The Rules: There are none, EXCEPT that your piece must feature at least one character we know about, but haven’t met yet in canon. There are a lot of family members to choose from, such as Roy’s sister, Nate’s niece, and Colin’s grandmother. As of this posting, we have seen photos of Mrs. Lasso but don’t ‘know’ her yet, so I’m declaring her up for grabs for now. So are a lot of other mothers and fathers! Or if you’re feeling ambitious, take a look at one of the characters name-dropped in anecdotes from the past, people like Ronnie Fouch, Doug Stashwick, or Joanna Wellington. Where you go after that is up to you - flesh out the story we’ve already heard, or invent one all your own. What is Darren really like, and how did he and Sassy end up together? Did Keeley’s mother raise her alone, or was her father also in the picture? Write from the mystery character’s point of view! Or tell a story set in the present day. What if Nate’s niece was the girl on Phoebe’s football team? What if Roy’s sister was the doctor who treated Sharon? What would the people of AFC Richmond think of Beard’s mother? Is Tish a fraud? How did Ted really feel about Mr. Welton?
Any character, any setting, any premise - anything goes! I’m calling it February’s challenge, but there is absolutely no deadline. And no word limit either - make it a drabble or a one-shot, or the longest multi-chapter you’ve ever written. (I can’t claim to need new things to read these days, but I love multi-chapters all the same). It doesn’t even need to be fic - I’d be thrilled if any of these challenges inspired a gifset or some other form of fanart!
Want to participate but aren’t able to write something at the moment? That’s fine too! Just describe what you’d like to write about for this month’s challenge. I’m curious what ideas all of you have in your heads!
Please add your fic to the AO3 collection HERE, and tag it with Ted Lasso Fanfic Challenge anywhere else you post!
Feel free to check out any of my prompts if you’re looking for inspiration. I hope to create a Masterpost with all of them in one place soon!
Bonus Challenge: Feel like setting an additional challenge for yourself? Send  me an Ask and I’ll give you a character/setting/premise!
Good luck!

I love when CtM shakes up the work pairings every so often. It would be so easy to always pair Patrick and Shelagh, or Trixie and whichever roommate she's got now, or our new dream team of Sister Frances and Nancy, and I do love when all those teams get their moments. But it was also fun in this last ep to see Shelagh and Matthew working together (much as I'm sure he wanted to be anywhere else, poor dude) and Dr Turner getting the full Nancy experience with his measles vaccine scheme. The dynamics are just fresher when the teams get mixed up a little!

My #1 post of 2022
Only Call the Midwife could get us all prepared for an epic main character death only to go NOPE, LOL JK at the end. Heidi KNOWS we have trust issues after Barbara and Sister Evangelina and hell, even Alec, and she exploited them like a PRO. Narrative subversion queen.

Rewatching season 1 (bc why not?) and the thing I love about Ted and Sassy is how they were exactly what the other needed at that moment.
Not a sloppy, drunken hook-up, but a way for them to reclaim a part of themselves that had been lost in their recently-ended marriages.
Because when was the last time Michelle made Ted feel attractive and sexy the way Sassy “I want to hold his ears and ride that mustache like a jet ski” Collins did?
And when was the last time Darren made Sassy feel appreciated and beautiful the way Ted “So eager to please. It was fabulous.” Lasso did?

end of the year reflections
TV shows watched: The Great British Bakeoff, Shadow and Bone, Bridgerton, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Ted Lasso, Long Way Round, Long Way Down, Long Way Up, Star Trek Discovery, The Mandalorian (season 1), Wandavision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki (am I missing any?)
Movies watched: Tick, Tick … Boom, Single All the Way, The Prom, Black Widow, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Come From Away, The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring, Love Hard. I did not go to the movie theater (they didn’t open up here until June).
Concerts attended: none (cries in pandemic forever). II know I did a virtual concert but for the life of me, I can’t remember what it was.
Musicals/Theater attended (masks and vaccination proof required): Jesus Christ Superstar, Mean Girls, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.
Music listened to: I don’t do spotify so I have nothing “unwrapped.” Adele, Andrew Belle’s latest album, Darren Criss’s EP Masquerade and A Very Darren Crissmas, Lil Nas X’s Montero (Call Me By Your Name).
Favorite tiktoks/youtube follows: Dr. Glaucomflecken, B Dylan Hollis, Nerdforge
Fanfic written: I finished off the last 4 chapters of sure like never before in January and February and then I spent the rest of the year writing these inconvenient fireworks, which I finished the last week in November. 52,000 words this year.
Books read: Sometime near the start of the pandemic in 2020, I joined a facebook group dedicated to reading Rilla of Ingleside, which triggered a rekindling in my interest in books. As a former book worm, it’s rather astonishing how little books I’ve read in the last decade – I’ve read many other things, newspapers and magazines and fanfiction, but very few books.
I set a goal of reading 20 books this year. I surpassed that and read 49 books this year (I don’t think I’ll get to 50 by midnight. You can read all of my reviews on goodreads.
Favorite book: The House In the Cerulean Sea. By far. I spent the rest of the year trying to recapture the feeling that that book gave me. Book that I thought I had read before but most definitely did not and it haunted me forever and I’m still not sure if I understand what happened. Liar. No really, what was that ending?
Word I can happily never see again in a plus-size romance: voluptuous (I think plus-sized romances aren’t my thing).
Book everybody should read: The Sum of Us. Really well-written and researched.
Books attempted but did not finish: The Gentleman’s Guide to Getting Lucky. I had forgotten how much I had hated the protagonist in the first book (I liked the plot! I liked the secondary characters. I hated Monty.) and couldn’t get through it. And I just got The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy from the library – we’ll see if the third times the charm. The Essex Serpent. I tried. It’s going to be a movie. Maybe I’ll watch it and then try again.
Number of camping trips: 2 (Oregon coast and Wyoming).
Number of plane trips: 2 (Utah/Wyoming for camping with the family in July, and Arizona to see the family in October. Hopefully maybe more in 2022?)
Weather disasters endured: ice storm in February, heat domes in June and July, atmospheric rivers in September.
Number of houses bought: 1
Number of houses bought and regretted: .... zero?
Number of repairs still needed on house: *cries*
Number of items knitted: 3 scarves, the body of a doll which is still dismembered...
Amount of yarn purchased: *shifty eyes*.
All of the books read by genre below the cut…
Books listened to: Chris Colfer’s The Land of Stories series: The Wishing Spell, The Enchantress Returns, A Grimm Warning, Beyond the Kingdoms, An Author’s Odyssey, and Worlds Collide. I’ve started A Tale of Magic, but I’m only a couple of chapters into it. The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune because I loved the book so much that I wanted to read it again for the first time and this brought out all sort of things I had missed. Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz read by Lin-Manuel Miranda (perfect voice).
Nonfiction: The Sum of Us: What Racism Costs Everyone and How We Can Prosper Together by Heather McGhee;  The Birth of the Pill: How Four Crusaders Reinvented Sex and Launched a Revolution by Jonathan Eig America and The Pill: A History of Promise, Peril, and Liberation by Elaine Tyler May
Poetry:  If Mother Braids a Waterfall by Dayna Patterson;  Nature Poem by Tommy Pico
Middle Grade:  Strong as Fire, Fierce as Flame by Supriya Kelkar;  Ogre Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine;
Young adult: Last Night at the Telegraph Club by Malinda Lo; Iron Widow (Iron Widow, #1) by Xiran Jay Zhao;  Concrete Rose by Angie Thomas;  Anyway the Wind Blows and If the Fates Allow: A Short Story by Rainbow Rowell;  Needlework by Julia Watts;  The River Has Teeth by Erica Waters;  Aristotle and Dante Dive into the Waters of the World (Aristotle and Dante, #2) by Benjamin Alire Sáenz;  Lore by Alexandra Bracken;   Six Crimson Cranes (Six Crimson Cranes #1) by Elizabeth Lim;   The Magnolia Sword: A Ballad of Mulan by Sherry Thomas;  The Girls at the Kingfisher Club by Genevieve Valentine;  Glimpsed by G.F. Miller;  The Extraordinaries and Flash Fire by T.J. Klune;  The Pearl Thief, Code Name Verity (reread), and Rose Under Fire (reread) by Elizabeth Wein Liar by Justine Larbalestier;  The Upside of Unrequited (Simonverse, #2);  Stepsister by Jennifer Donnelly
Adult fiction: Act Your Age, Eve Brown (The Brown Sisters, #3) by Taila Hibbert; Anne of Manhattan by Brina Starler; The House in the Cerulean Sea and Under the Whispering Door by T.J. Klune; If the Shoe Fits (Meant to Be #1) by Julie Murphy; Cocaine Blues (Phryne Fisher, #1) by Kerry Greenwood; How to Stop Time and The Midnight Library by Matt Haig; Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch; Boyfriend Material (Boyfriend Material, #1) by Alexis Hall; Spoiler Alert by Olivia Dade; Patsy by Nicole Dennis-Benn; The Wedding Date (The Wedding Date, #1) by Jasmine Guillory;
