Dead Friend Forever: Episode 12- Squicks and Triggers

Busy day yesterday so sorry for the delay on getting the squicks and triggers post out for Episode 12. he’s the (only) one who saw everything, therefore knows everything.

but his guilt ended up eating him alive, like tee, so he put them out so he couldn’t see anything that would put him in this position again.

The Categories of Final Hallucinations

I noticed 2 types of visions that the characters had in the last episode, specifically in regards to Non

Non was front and center and the visions are about him

Phee: He kept continually seeing Non die in different ways, including some which were new and unseen ways. He's grieving Non's death and also feels guilty for what he's said (the "Get lost and die"). Phee was also the only person who understood that these were visions and Non wasn't real. Even in the 2 years later part (which may or may not be real - tbh I'm thinking of it as a continuation of the hallucinations in the courtyard), Phee sees Non walking into the water.

Tee: Non asks Tee to kill him with a knife on the rooftop because he’s so trapped while working for Tee’s uncle. Tee has been feeling guilty about his actions bringing Non into this world and ultimately being unable to get him out of the mess, so this manifests as a horrific way to help Non, though of course he ends up stabbing White in reality :’(

Tan: Non thanks him, then hangs himself, then thanks him again. Tan just wanted to be a good brother and in these hallucinations, after he has avenged Non, he finally is. His last vision is Non thanking him and walking into the light.

Non may or may not be there but it's mostly about their own situations/consequences/fears rather than Non

Fluke: Non is hardly there except at the end, Fluke's mostly being chased by a cop because he's deathly afraid of ruining his reputation and not getting to become a doctor. Aside: I loved that Fluke gouged his own eyes out, the eyes with which he was constantly witnessing the misbehavior against Non (Top breaking the camera, Jin taking the video) but keeping silent about

Top: He was just being chased by Non through the woods, very little depth because we hardly knew anything about him

White: he never knew Non and so his visions are about his relationship with Tee instead

Jin: I don't think Non even appeared in this but I'd have to double check. It was mostly about what if what Jin did to Non happened to Jin himself with him seeing people taking videos of him in compromising situations, including with Keng

For me, Tee's was the most shocking and horrifying because I was expecting death for Tee (especially after episode 11) but there was the vibe that maybe White is the final girl who will survive. Instead, my mouth fell open as soon as I realized what they were hinting at and I lost my mind as the sequence went on. One of the most unpredictable aspects of this whole show for me and it really is tearing me up, esp after ep 11.

Tan's and Phee's are the most tragic. I didn't cry at all during this show but for a second there, during Tan's visions, I became misty-eyed. (also I've been typing Tan as Non and having to correct... I think NewTan would like that tbh)

I think Jin's was the most disappointing to me because although he knows his actions to release that video were wrong and likely feels guilty, I was hoping Non would at least make an appearance? When Jin apologized to Non the day Non disappeared, Non didn't know what he was apologizing for and said Jin didn't have to apologize. I wanted Jin to apologize to Non while admitting to his wrongdoings, even if it's in hallucinations. Instead, it's Jin being paranoid about what he did to Non being done to him.

[Edited because the Tee/White scene did a whole number on me so I got a bit confused about their visions when I first posted this right after watching the ep]

I know I went radio silent 😔 but DFF is over the last episode was ok I've seen a mixture of different reactions and I'm in the middle I appreciate the ending but wish they would have done something a little more with it 🫥 but overall the series is a 9/10 ( taking one off since they killed white 🥹) I'm glad they didn't take the route of " oh this was the movie none of this actually happened" though the ending wasn't my favorite I applaud everyone in the series ! Much love to all the cast can't wait to see what else they will bring in future projects!

Dead Friend Forever ep 12 initial reaction

It’s over am I happy? Not particularly. It is interesting though. Let’s go over it and then I’ll make my rating post for the whole series

Disclaimer upfront I get triggered by blood so I did watch some scenes with my hands covering the top of the scene so maybe I missed things.

Okay so let’s get into the ep

I find it interesting that Top, Jin, and Fluke all include their ‘friends’ in their hallucinations. While White, Phee, Tee are more self solo focused. I imagine if Por was alive his nightmare scenario would be group based because he wanted to be cool or if it was solo maybe it would be man he’s a really big asshole personality wise. Probably good he didn’t live to this last scene would have been redundant or abhorrent.

So Fluke was afraid of being bullied by Top and Tee. He never really felt a hundred percent with the group. I find it telling that Por and Non convince him to take his eyes out because people felt like he had no guilt for both of their deaths. Realistically if Fluke had stood up to Top and Tee when the camera got broken I do think because Fluke and Por were good friends Por might have believed Fluke over Top but maybe not. Por was an asshole. But him doing anything in the other scenes won’t have really helped. He didn’t have any power in the group dynamic. He wasn’t even particularly close to Jin the reason they both found non and the teacher was because they were in the same class.

I started to get suspicious we might be in dream sess for Top’s he’ll scape. 1 idk how he is still alive 2 he’s still very much on drugs anyways. Also the fear of being betrayed by his friends them not listening to him was an interesting motivation. We saying top was a people pleaser I guess? Idk I wanted more from his character. Did find it poetic he and Fluke offed each other when their fears were so routed in their friendships their bonds. Then that’s what threw them down the stairs.

Tee 😭😭😭😭 even in the nightmare trying to help Non over and over trying to give him hope. Trying to do all that he could. Trapped and trying his best. Shows that he deeply fundamentally didn’t want to be a bad guy. A caged animal tortured animal doesn’t run when you open the cage you have to show it the way out first. I think Tee was hoping seeing Non escape would mean he could go for his freedom too. I cried during his and White’s scene. Also how beautiful are they? I hope Tee survives

Once again I think something bad happened to White to make him feel like he’s dirty that he’s automatically a slut for making friends. Yes Tee gets jealous but I won’t say it’s abnormally so White puts that pressure on himself. He desperately wanted to be Tee’s above all else a very sweet motivator. I once again cried watching what happened. I’m glad Tan had second doubts about his death at least.

Jin stalker/unhealthy obsession? Idk it’s just what the TV imagery and the cell phones make me think of Because my mind goes to BTS Suga’s solo MV for Shadow. Jin’s certainly ashamed of what he did. He also had his friends in there saying he was scared they’d hate me. Very interesting. Jin is MAJORLY insecure. He values his perception and hates who he really is and the pleasure he desires. I was disappointed to see him still alive but then again if he had that injury I was curious if he would survive just based on blood loss to the hospital. Really really hated the visuals on that so… maybe I missed something

Found it heartbreaking that New’s Non was a good little brother. Ugh I can’t imagine losing my sister and this scene really hurts. That New has done all this shit but deep down he knows what New really felt about him and New’s scared he’s done the wrong thing.

Found it sus we see New die of a gut injury when the shot hit his shoulder. But was sweet that Non came back to thank him in his head. A good end although doubting it happened.

Wow Jin being the human one in this scene of the future. I guess he’d be an idealized version of Jin.

Uhhhhh yes? In that Tee would need to accept what happened and seek help. But also no? Phee showing his double standard here. Phee didn’t you just learn you would have been there for Non if you could? Well if Tee was suffering like that Phee you should visit him even if it’s hard it’d be his duty. Phee is partly responsible for what happened. Phee you can care about people you ain’t fucking and or their family members. It’s okay to have friends naturally and support them.

Season 2!!!! Big reveal? So how much of this ep was a dream?? Whole thing? From when new used the gas? I also wonder would New’s protections for himself actually work? Yes he has those cure smoke things but the nightmare stuff is still in everything. I would like it if maybe Non had survived and some how drugged them all? I don’t think he did but 9th person Mr Keng? Non? White? Steps in and all of this outcome has been Phee’s interpretation of the truth ep 12? Maybe idk. I can’t wait for season 2

What now ? ( spoilers ep12 )

I already mentioned it slighlty in my thoughts of ep 12 but I want too bring more attention too it .

Like is the end , the end ? It was kind of an open ending . Maybe I'm just stupid but the ending was weird , like why ?

It's a bit confusing , are they hallucinating , is everyone dead , did only one survive like what is going on ?

This got me thinking if we get one more special episode , because usually with endings like this there is mostly a sequel or sum ( I think ) .

Also what is it with Non ?! I know that because of the drugs the saw him , but even without the drugs like at the end he is always there . Is he actually dead or is it something else ?

Like besides the ending what if it was just a dream cuz atp idk 💀

This Week in BL - Alan & Jeff Forever!

Organized, in each category, with ones I'm enjoying most at the top.

Jan 2024 Wk 4

Ongoing Series - Thai

The Sign (Sat YT) ep 10 of 12 - I am a little concerned that this is getting too big for its britches, rather like Phaya’s recently recovered snake… shall we say? Adding in yet another character at this juncture isn’t the best idea. Still, I love how this show makes me cackle laugh with grandmas + Yai and then TENSION.

It’s a wobbly kind of balance but a balancing act is happening nonetheless. It makes the pacing of this show good. It may be all over the place but I'm never bored.

Pit Babe (Fri iQIYI) ep 11 of 14 - No trash talk this week, I was charmed & delighted. Who knew I would actually enjoy this show? Certainly not me. (not much of a...) Trash watch happening here.

Cooking Crush (Sun YT) ep 8 of 12 - I am pretty much skipping most of the 3 chef friends, and all of the side dish action (sorry Neo). And with OffGun apart for most of this ep, it didn’t hold together since they are the glue. Sigh.

Last Twilight (Fri YT) ep 12fin - Okay let’s talk about it.

Mhok should have gone off with someone else. Day treated him like shit and never once apologized. To assume an apology isn’t necessary is to pity Day in the exact way he didn’t want. (On a complete aside, one of my favorite Thai restaurants back in my mispent youth was in Hilo, HI… ah memories) meanwhile the "passing escalators trope" activated in the land of malls (it’s been a while my old friend).

Anygay, I hold that Mohk was not a fault and Day was the one who needed to apologize.

Although they did have one of BL's BEST ever face touch moments.

In conclusion:

The story of a blind man and his caregiver falling in love. Mark is great. JimmySea are spectacular. The support cast is GMMTV-good. And for the first 3/4 this BL was something rather special. But it was let down by its ending (for which I entirely blame the author). In order to like this show you must buy into the premise that Mhok was in the wrong and caused their breakup. If you don’t believe that, you won’t like this BL. Also "fixing a disability = true happiness" is gross messaging. For me, endings counts for a lot and this one was ultimately “happy” but felt like a failure. 7/10 and I was sorely tempted to go as low as a 6/10, so it should count itself lucky

I dithered my darling BLabies... I dithered A LOT over this one. But JimmySea alone held this one up.

GMMTV we gotta talk. You're fielding some of the world's best pairs right now. It's time to get them equally good scripts.

For Him (Thurs iQIYI) ep 9 of 12 - This installment had too much of the side couple in it. Although it was nice to see First/Dream (Twins) again. He's still a cutie, even playing a straight.

My Universe (Sun iQIYI) ep 23 of 24 - I have to say I’m very glad we are on the last installment of the series. Narcissistic hairdresser starts seeing a spirit in a mirror. Turns out to be a friend from his youth who he thought was dead. This one is kinda sweet, and I find the premise interesting. Is the kid actually dead and a spirit? Or is there something else going on? I am intrigued. And I like the actor playing the kid in the mirror. I suspect this will be sad tho.

Time the series (Thai Gaga) ep 3 of 10 - I don’t exactly know what is going on. And frankly I don’t particularly care, either. So far nothing seems to be happening, and I really intensely dislike one half of the main couple. DNF welcome 2024 here we go

Ongoing Series - Not Thai

Love For Love's Sake (Korea Weds iQIYI) 1-2 of 8 - based on the Manhwa Love Supremacy Zone by Hwacha (they should have kept the original title). I adore the premise. IRL person has been sent into fictional universe to save a side character from doom. Fantastic. Every fanfic author's dream. Also, I love that our POV was the bad boy in high school so there’s also a redemption arc going on. I adore this kind of isekai (if you wanna call it that). Puppy/cat pairing too!

Although I Love You and You AKA Sukiyanen Kedo Do Yaro ka (Japan Thurs Gaga) ep 3 of 10 - Oh my goodness they too cute. Basically dating. Although only one of them realizes it, and he is such a drama queen. It’s GREAT. Also they are both so damn gay. I love the supportive bestie trying to cope with the girl who has a crush on his gay bff.

Happy Ending (Korea Tues YT) 1 of 3 - Strongberry is back and it’s very them and very atmospheric and cute. I’m enjoying it.

Sahara-sensei to Toki-kun (Japan Fri Gaga) ep 7 of 8 - Japan giveth and Japan taketh away again. Look, I just like the lost love teacher/teacher couple better. I'm assuming they'll have to do a time jump in the final episode to make this one work at all.

I am SO GLAD we have KBLs back on our screens.

Playboyy (Thurs Gaga) 14 eps - Dear Playboyy, it's not you, it’s me… I hate you. You’re about as deep (and as palatable) as a shot glass of cum. While I'm sure you’re someone’s kink, you're my weakest link. Goodbye. I DNFed this at ep 5. Frankly I'm impressed with myself for getting that far.

The Whisperer (Sun ????) 10 eps - Ends next week. Thai horror BL that ALSO involves cheating (what joy is mine). I don't think even the perfect single dimple can motivate me to watch. Word is... it's terrible.

7 Days Before Valentine (Weds WeTV) 10 eps - Giving me Luminous Solution vibes. I'm waiting to binge if safe.

Dead Friend Forever: Ep. 5

I want to talk briefly about today’s episode of Dead Friend Forever and how smart I think it is being as we had towards the midpoint of the show. I was worried that 12 episodes was going to be too long for a slasher show, and that still could be the case, however episode 5 and from teh looks of it episode 6 are backstory focused, allowing for some breathing room from the murder and chaos that is currently occuring.

An I for one think they are being really smart with it. I love how we have spent four episodes knowing very little information about the characters, we know something happened, we have every reason to be suspicious of everyone, but we have spent four episodes being allowed to establish our own impressions and relationships with each character. I have always hated Top (but attribute quite a lot of that towards not liking the actor), I liked Fluked in the first episode, and then he started turning creepy. I love White, Por has seemed like a rich asshole from the beginning, and I have been suspicious of but ultimately been enjoying and lowkey rooting for Tee primarily because of his relationship with White.

But now I hate him. Oh I hate him so much. I had to sit here for an hour watching all of these boys, but especially Por, Top, and Tee exploit the fuck out of Non. Tee set Non up to make it look like he broke the camera and then preyed on Non’s poverty to rope him in to the money laundering(?) scheme. Which actually….this is probably cause I just listened to the ‘Tens and Chops’ episode of The Conversation and was reminded of the absolute target that was the abandoned opportunity to discuss class disparities…but Dead Friend Forever seems to be taking the consequences of fucking with poor people for your own amusement.

Por, Top, and Tee exploit Non’s desire to join an in-group, and work him to the bone writing and re-writing, and re-writing, and re-writing, and re-writing the script, probably overusing his medication, getting no sleep, absolutely exhausting himself, and then the second they have what they need out of him, they are back to treating him like shit, leaving Jin to bridge the kindness gap and Fluke to remain quiet. Top breaks the camera, and Tee comes up with the plan to frame Non for it.

And it’s the thing I found interesting because we haven’t fully figured out why the boys hate Non so much, we can assume it’s just that they found a poor person to pick on, based on the nickname that he has. But Tee seems, to me, to have some additional layer of feeling on top of his general group think. Now, I found it interesting that Por is holding Non responsible for the damage to his camera, and demanding 200,000 bhat from Non an impossibly high sum of money for Non and his family and a stressor so large that Non almost kills himself over it. But Por isn’t actually the person the most directly responsible for causing that level of emotional distress, because Top and Tee set up the situation in the first place so Por wouldn’t find out that Top broke it.

And Tee goes an additional step further, in his own desperation to maintain a steady cash flow for himself from his uncle, by exploiting the situation he caused with Non to get him to open a bank account that will assist Tee and his family in continuing their illegal business operations. Por is a rich asshole, Top is just an asshole, but Tee? Tee is a calculated asshole. I love what they are setting up with Fluke as well, because he saw Top break the camera, and was told to keep his mouth shut. He knows how unfair this entire situation is, he sees how distressed Non is, you know based on the fact that he literally flicks Top off because he doesn’t agree with what Top and Tee are doing, but he does not speak up. If Non had killed himself that evening, Fluke’s silence would have made him just as much of a contributor to the situation as Tee and Top for setting it up.

And from my perspective, it looks like they are setting up a potential predatory plotline between the evening tutoring teacher and Non. And if that were to be seen through, it would be Por, whose desire to control every aspect of Non’s life while he worked on the script, who would have some culpability of putting Non in to the situation, considering he paid for Non to attend the classes. I have not gone back yet, but I do plan to do so, to watch Episode 1 with the new information and insight I have in to these characters from today’s episode. But I know @ginnymoonbeam has actually gone back to watch the first episode and found the dynamics between characters so much more distinct with the new information. I love that. I love that this show is setting up a situation where there is something important to be gained from rewatching the show. I have no idea if this show will stick the landing, I still am not quite sure how they are going to swing 7 more episodes of it, I think the writing could be stronger. BUT so far they have structured their show and especially today’s episode very wisely.

Anyway, props to this show for making me change my min in a single episode because now I am sitting happily aboard the Fuck Them Kids train. Murder that og friend group with an axe. Let Por bleed out from the tree branch. Let Top get possessed. Don't care, they deserve it.

Oh no no no

I know this is a hallucination (or is it) and I stopped caring about Non some ep ago, but Phee wanted to help you only for you to lie to him, and you took "help" from worst people possible

Phee is thinking the same thing HOW come 2 years passed and they are not in jail

Am I disapointed? Not really - but you can take first 2 or 3 ep, and the watch 12 and it will be a horror story. I am just really really sad that White is dead and this is the most moving part of this ep.

I thought it will just end with the mansion on fire to blow up the evidence.

It was a wild ride but with this ending I will forget about this series in like a week.

Dead Friend Forever - Ep 12

My opinion about the finale: tl;dr I liked the finale, although the execution could have been better 😄

My dream ending (a bit delulu, a bit fairy-tale): they all get punished (no matter how, it could be death), Tan comes out of it all safe and sound, it turns out that Non survived and 1) for some reason he couldn't contact them 2 ) Non survived and helps Tan (with his knowledge or not), he is the Ninth Person. Bonus: White, after learning about Tee's sins, falls out of love and leaves the house with Tan hehehehehehehehe 🤭

My expectations for a story with revenge/justice for wrongs come down to the aspect of sin, punishment and redemption. And what I like most is the narrative that: if you drag someone else 1 meter through pain, you then have to crawl 2 meters through the same pain yourself. And only then apologize. And if you don't do it, you have to accept that someone could and would do it for you, when you least expect it, only this time they will drag you 10 meters throug pain and probably involve innocent people close to you ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ And what I appreciate about The Glory and DFF is that they used this particular motif. Because isn't it true? If the boys had done what I mentioned above, that is, if they had acknowledged their sins, been punished and apologized, then NONE OF ALL OF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED. Because no, being sad is not a punishment, feeling guilty doesn't help Non, a late apology doesn't save Tan's family. Only decisive action and taking the consequences would have probably saved Non's family. And who knows, maybe it would have saved him too!

I really like what @befuddledcinnamonroll wrote about purgatory element in DFF. My littles addition: each of them committed a sin and would have avoided this fate if they had gone "through purgatory" and simply gone to Non's parents with information about him. None of them could do it, on the contrary, they kept lying about him. So Purgatory came to them and it brought its friend Hell with it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Overall, I think hallucinations were a good solution under the circumstances. Because I believe that punished people should be aware of WHAT they are paying for. (that's why I don't like the fact that Por simply died as if in an accident, not aware of what is going on - although it could be seen as... taking away his chance to live his pampered, comfortable life.) Therefore, hallucinations are somehow a crash course in punishment lol If Jin, Phee and Tee stayed in this hallucination, that would also be ok, because it means that they will never be free from Non, who can randomly appear in the background at any time 😆 and they know it and have no way out of this situation. It's like a prison for them.

Random notes:

Fluke's visions and his eye gouging. Symbolic. Personally, I think he should survive in this condition.

Top should die as a service to the community.

Tee should survive and lose everything again, but this time more painfully, because White is probably a first thing that is all HIS. I think he, living after White's death, is *chef's kiss* (it would be even better if White hated him and dumped him for Tan). In general, I like the repeated motif: Tee didn't want to kill Non, he didn't want to kill White. No one cared about his wishes.

of course, I would like White to survive and become Tan's boyfriend, but I accept his death because it's in convention, like in Elm Street, Scream franchise, where innocent people died. I have a feeling that for White to survive, he would have to reject Tee in some way in order to be "rewarded" with life 🤔

so it was Jin who released this video… well, until the last moment I was sure that due to the different backgrounds of the laptops, it was someone else and Jin simply took the blame/ thought it was him because he was drunk. For me it made sense because he wanted to show this video to Non's boyfriend and not to everyone and I felt like he was drunk because someone else uploaded his video and Jin knew he screwed up. Ok, whatever. I liked his hallucinations the most. Jin must have seen what his actions did to Non and he must have been afraid of what would happen if it were him.

until the last moment I was counting on Phee working with Tan and I didn't want to judge his recent stupid antics. I must admit that I am disappointed *deep sigh* well…. Phee paid with his life because he wanted answers but showed no commitment. He could have just left the case, and instead he snitched on Tan to the enemy.. In the end, even Jin's confession didn't move him (that's why I was so convinced it was part of some plan). From Tan's perspective and the narrative, this amounts to betrayal, Phee betrayed Tan and Non and therefore had to be punished. (And shooting Tan when Phee couldn't shoot Tee knowing he got Non killed???? Bitch.)

I liked Phee and Jin's dynamic and was even rooting for them up to this point, as an interesting and potentially fucked up couple (especially if Phee was working with Tan all the time). Ultimately, their relationship turned out to be boring and banal.

The absolute winner of this series was Tan, he is the perfect hero, loved by the masses for his absolute dedication to the cause. He has a clearly defined goal and is working towards it, even if others and him pay for it. We may discuss this character's morality, but we cannot deny his unconditional commitment. And that just appeals to people. And that was what Non needed and never got. Tan sold his own soul to the masked blorbo devil to avenge Non and therefore the narrative shows him as the only one worthy of "saying goodbye" to Non, whom Non thanks. Because each of the characters, including those who should have helped him, i.e. parents, teachers and the police, as well as "friends" and "good boy Jin", in the end always found some excuse not to help him, there was always something standing in the way. For Tan, money (which he stole from his parents), law, social status, social norms, his own life and future did not matter. And that's why he could die without remorse (if he did, which I doubt).

What I didn't like, plot holes, mistakes:

what was it about the mafia uncle and his death? was this a very important to the plot character who just… died off-screen? Likewise, Perth's character, the woman who was investigating the gang… what about them?

an ax left outside, the camera pans over it, suggesting that it is important to the story. What for?

the first scene in the series with Jin and Non running away from the masked blorbo? where did it come from?

who was the 9th person?

did Tan really do everything himself? like the wire? we only know this from Phee's stories...

......who knew things he couldn't have known. I thought it was all part of his plan with Tan, but since we now know it wasn't, how did he know about the wire? about the poisoned and hypnotized Top? A GIANT PLOT HOLE.

total fuck up with clothes. For example, Non appears in visions wearing the shirt he died in, which no one but Tee could have seen him in

the clothes of the masked blorbo fighting Tan and Tee were different than those of Top

complete lack of White's history, which makes it unclear where his visions came from. Who is he (also, who is Top?)

what is actually real? As I mentioned, I don't like open, ambiguous endings

and most importantly: NON'S BODY WAS NOT FOUND, it was not buried with the respect, no one cried at his funeral. There is no one who remembers him. That's part of why I wanted Tan to survive. That there would be someone who would remember Non and remember him with tenderness and love. Non deserved at least this!!!

If you think about it, the ending itself is just funny and very old school. It immediately reminded me of the nightmare from Elm Street and Final Destination, when everyone thinks everything is ok, and then oops 💀

What has always surprised me in part of the fandom and creators is the equation of actors with characters and the making the entire series about the branding couples. It seems to me that DFF was losing because of this, forcing couples which was completely unnecessary, which in the end affected the quality of the story. In addition, the actors were criticized for the actions of the characters they played and even had to explain them, which is another level of bullshit to which fans can stoop.

Overall, I rate DFF highly. This is a really great series, the actors are GREAT, the series didn't fuck around, it just showed the brutal reality, it wasn't afraid of gore, bold sex scenes, or problematic topics. It wasn't afraid to kill most of the characters either. As a theoretically BL series, it paved new paths and crossed new boundaries. The ending could have been done differently, but I still liked it. Regardless, I rate it 9/10 💖

'what was i thinking? there's no forever, just like what my mom said.' you say to yourself as you crash to your knees, tired and barely having enough energy to run anymore. your eyesight was getting blurry the more you ran, and you brushed it off like it was nothing. you finally found the energy to run again after resting. your stomach was grumbling and you were in pain; nobody else survived except you and you were just running away from all of it. just as you were about to stand up, you fall to the ground losing your consciousness. and before you knew it, a kind-hearted prince approaches your figure and yells something out loud to the people near him that you just couldn't find the energy to pay attention to. 'fate' you thought before completely closing your eyes and fading into the dark abyss. when you woke up the next day, you were in some sort of bed. you gathered everything inside of you to stand up and walk— which, you couldn't quite do because of your exhausted legs and the wounds on them. the same prince from yesterday approached you worryingly and places you back on the bed, “what happened? are you okay?” he utters in such a panicked yet loving voice. you shook your head no in response. “another kingdom.. attacked ours.” you add to your nod, looking away with a frown. and from then on, you and the prince had become great friends; you now lived in the so called ‘isanghan wang-gug’ or in english, ‘the strange kingdom’
