New year, new deathclaugust, continuing on at twenty three with Gemstone!
A very rare process of living mineralization, and one that has few seen specimens as most never make it to hatching due to their organs being petrified. Lucky survivors only have it affect scale growth.

"No, sweetheart," Amir said, "they call that a Deathclaw."
"But-- what is it?" Elaine stammered. Her fingers bit into the glass of the truck as they drove by.
"From everythin' I was able to gather, an iguana that got too big for its britches. If ya ask me, the Army had something to do with it."
"Is that other thing a scorpion?"
"Oh, yeah, don't worry about that none. Last time I visited Vegas they were 'bout that size."

Twenty five, Deathjaw!
Despite wild claims that the subspecies deathjaws have bigger teeth, they instead have smaller teeth but incredible bite strength. Nests are made in abandoned car husks by shearing clean through the metal.

Arboreal at twenty four!
Closer to their chameleon origin, these very small, hyper-aggressive deathclaws can change their skin color. Settlers near forested areas have to take extra care minding pets and small children.

Hooded, colored!
An unpleasant discovery was made when catching it: its deep chest cavity allows it to produce an abominable scream with an impressive duration. It was released shortly after.

Deathclaugust leftovers round, it’s Leopard! she’s the goodest girl.
Markedly more docile than others and prized for their bright coloration, a sign of good health is in their pristine spots and supremely soft fat tail.

Overgrow for sixteen! we’re past halfway babes!!!
Despite its intimidating appearance, this deathclaw is incredibly docile and uncaring, sometimes laying in the same place for months at a time until plants creep across its body. Locals will feed it in exchange for cuttings of the rare healthy foliage.

Nine with Spectral!
The loss of pigment and acute irradiation of living tissue lends this deathclaw an oddly glasslike look, through which its skeleton is partly visible. It walks silently and feeds at night exclusively on ghouls.

Day fifteen, Radstorm!
An unusual result of a mineral-high diet usually from areas similar to the Glowing Sea, metal deposits build up in the spikes and skin, becoming an adapted lightning rod during irradiated storms. Advanced cases may even absorb energy weapon fire.

Nineteen, with Mimic!
An imitation of an imitation. It's not known why its appearance matches that of mantids found in Nevada and Utah, nor how it happened upon such a striking palette from long-extinct flora. However, there is no arguing that its beauty is unmatched.

Day ten, Frill! you can see why this one took a while
It's unclear why an already intimidating predator developed additional intimidation factors, but there's no denying that it's extremely effective.

day seven, totally not late with Basilisk!
The crests and frills adorning its body are usually kept a dull grey, but it can flare an astonishingly bright array of eye patterns using chromatophores.
