Degrassi TNG Color Identities - Lead-In

So I finally, finally, decided to finish the 2000-Now Degrassi Color Identities. Covering the TNG S01-09 characters without rewatching them (in case I screw up severely). 

...Mostly. See, there are a few characters I left out for a few different reasons.

The posts go up over the week at 2 PM like I usually do. With a weekend post of my updated three color banners.

Left Out - The Adults

Since the adults were all holdovers from Degrassi’s previous series, so I’ll just hold off until I watch the earlier series and decide to do this nonsense again.

This means Raddish, Snake, Spike, Caitlin, and Joey. Ms. Hotsauce and The Shep also left out for just not having enough to really frame them off of.

Left Out - Damian and Derek

I use Degrassisource’s gallery for all the images, which is just... a huge collection of images. I should have enough sources to find good useful promotional photos for everyone.

And yet these two didn’t have good images. And they weren’t good enough characters for me to care. Because if I tried to I could completely come up with a three color identity for both of them. Both definitely center in black, Damian is also in blue, Derek in red. But I couldn’t find images so I stopped musing about them.

Left Out - Blue and Leia

Blue and Leia are flat one note characters who didn’t do anything. They have maybe two colors but mostly they have one. Blue is definitely in white, Leia definitely in black. But nothing else really suits them beyond the basics of ‘Blue is a moral guy who is a little controlling and sucks’ followed by ‘Leia is trying to get ahead through lies and gossipmongering.’

Trying to coax more character from them might as well be squeezing blood from a stone. I ain’t doing it.

Left Out - Kelly

He’s just... the worst.

Prediction for which Senior gets left back on Degrassi Next Class

I’ve heard on another blog someone saying they think Esme will get left back, while I do speculate that could be true as she has from beginning of her introduction been an interesting character we are still learning about, I have a slight feeling it will be Miles. This season we saw Miles emotionally messed up understandably over Tristan being in coma even to the point where he felt he might have ended up committing suicide if Tristan hadn’t pulled through. Degrassi has never had twins, siblings, and especially three siblings graduate at the same time. Tiny is too smart to get left back, the character who plays Zig moved to California; plus if him and Maya are endgame the writers will leave them on a positive note and be done with it, Maya played by Olivia Scriven seems to be dedicating her ambitions towards music with Lyle in CuteWhore so Lyle would probably not return to Degrassi either, Grace could die from the transplant plus she’s also smart so wouldn’t get left back, Jonah already got left back so I doubt they would do it again, Winston has barely ever had a story line so he most likely will be graduating, and Zoe is also smart and has had her best season ever getting a girlfriend who likes her back the same way and she runs Student Council, and currently has no drama other than her mother kicking her out off the house. Miles seems to be a good choice because him still having siblings at Degrassi still gives him a connection to the school and reason for him still having appearances in future seasons. Glad to know I’m not the only one who sees the character parallels from finding this meme through Google Search via @degrassiconfessionsblog. Exhibit A: Enablers meet inhibitors. I so wish Imogen and Esme could have been characters on Degrassi at the same time which leaves me wondering would they have been the best of friends or arch enemies. Don’t know if I agree completely about the 90% more toxic because Imogen was very creepy to me at first knowing so much about Eli’s personal life before they even had a conversation and she made herself have a nosebleed to save Eli from getting in trouble for slamming the computer. Has something been released that shows Tristan will be graduating in Season 4? We know he most likely attends prom with Miles by a BTS promotional snippet that DegrassiSource posted but I was thinking being that he's still in an intensive recovery Tristan could very well leave the show not graduating. Wouldn't be the first one to leave and not graduate.

All speculation rn about him graduating comes from him being at prom which is very possible he's just there as Miles' date
