Reader dated Derek in high school and got pregnant. She didn’t find out until after he left for college years later her daughter/son ends up in Seattle grace and mark know or knew
Derek shepherd x fem reader
You left me
Paring: Derek Shepherd x fem!reader
Summary: If you knew, that the father of your daughter is one of the surgeons at Seattle Grace, you would force her to choose another hospital.
Words: 1054
A/N: Sydney is a name for your daughter. I tried, okay?
Tumblr media
You had a weird feeling that something was going to happen today.
Your daughter was going to be an intern at Seattle Grace, and it was her important day. Of course, you were a supportive mutter. She was dreaming about being a doctor, so you couldn't stop her.
A long time ago, you wanted to be a doctor too. And you find this man, named Derek, who had a similar dream to you.
You met in your biology lesson in high school. The teacher ordered a change of seats for the start of the new school year, and so Derek Shepherd became your good classmate. You were sitting in the back of the class, so you could chat a lot.
First, you become good friends. You werestudying together, sometimes you were meeting at lunch.
Then, you become somewhat like best friends. You started meeting at home and going out.together, going to a party together.
And finally, you become a classy couple.
Everyone liked you, and they cheered for you. You were happy. Everything was great; you were planning a future together, looking for college and some cute apartments.
And then he just left.
"What do you mean he left?" you asked Mrs. Shepherd, standing with her in their kitchen. She sighed and wiped her tear-stained cheeks. Mr. Shepherd was standing next to her, slowly drinking his alcohol, but he was visibly sad too.
"I'm sorry, Y/N." She passed me the note that Derek left.
'I'm leaving for college. DW about me. Tell y/n that I'm sorry.'
"How could he?" I started, but I stopped and just cried. Mrs. Shepherd moved to me and hugged me, letting me cry. Soon Mr. Shepherd came to us, and we were all just sitting in their kitchen, crying about their son.
And then it started.
Morning sickness, mood swings, and tiredness.
Pregnancy took you by surprise. You didn't want to be a single mom, but you kept the baby.
It was the only thing that kept you alive.
Your parents and Derek's parents helped you out, so you could give birth to a beautiful girl. And because of her, you let go of your medical dream.
And now you were sitting at home, feeling more anxious by the second. Your best friend, Bonnie, was sitting with you. You met her at a "course' for single moms. And it immediately clicked. Her son and your daughter are nowstarting their work as interns at Seattle Grace.
"Something is off, Bonnie," you said, sipping your tee.
"It's because your baby girl didn't text or call you yet." She smirked, looking at you.
"Don't make fun of me. They are at work, and you know how hospitals are."
"Yup. Craaazy," you nooded. "You want something stronger than a tee?"
"You know what? Fuck it," you said, loosening your hair. "Gimmie some beer or whiskey."
"And now it's getting better!"
Tumblr media
You are much calmer now. You weren't drunk,
but alcohol kind of calmed you. And you have this amazing idea to come to Seattle Grace and talk to your friends. You knew Bailey, Cally, and most importantly, your other best friend, Mark. He knew you in high school and also knew about your kid. But still, he hadn't told Derek.
"So how's Sydney on her first day?" You asked while giving Mark his coffee.
"She's doing great. Make some new friends, you know."
"That's good. I was kind of scared, to be honest," I said, taking a sip of my coffee. "All morning, I had this weird feeling that something was going to happen."
"Maybe I know what it is," Mark said, stopping in his tracks. "Just don't be mad, okay?"
"Just tell me what it is, Mark."
"Soo," he started, looking at something behind my back. "Derek is here. And now I am taking your daughter."
"He's what?" I asked, a smile dropping from my face. I quickly turned around, just to see that Sydney was really talking to Derek. "He knows?"
"God, no, I'm not like that," he answered loudly, which made Derek turn around. He sent Mark a small smile. Sydney finally noticed me, and when she did, her smile grew bigger. She didn't say a word to Shepherd; she just ran to us.
"Hi mom, hi Mark," I smiled to her.
"Coffee?" She nodded, so I gave her my cup. "Jeez, you look good in that."
Sydney laughed. Derek slowly came to us but didn't say anything. I talked with her for a minute. Well, mostly she was talking. It was good seeing your kid this happy. But then her pager went on, and she sent me a sad look.
"Go, Sydney. You're at work, remember?" I asked, smiling. She nodded and kissed my check, then ran off.
And then there were just you three. You looked at Mark first and then at Derek, and you immediately knew that he recognized you.
"I think someone needs me right now," says Mark, trying to leave. "Yup, definitely someone needs one. Bye, Y/N!" He said he was quickly moving away from us.
"So, hi," Derek said, sending you one of his charming smiles.
"Your smile doesn't work on me anymore. Not after you left me," I said. He said this and ran his hand through his hair.
"Look, I'm sorry—" He started, but I was too angry to let him talk.
"Don't sorry, Derek, you left me with—" You paused. "You left me! We were supposed to go to college together, to get married, and to have a family together, but you just left me and didn't even say goodbye." You said that, feeling the tears in your eyes.
"Y/N, I—" He sighed. "Sydney. She's mine, right?"
"She would be, if you hadn't left me." You said it quietly, rubbing your eyes to wipe away the few tears that had fallen.
"I'm sorry, baby. I'm really sorry." He moved and hugged me tightly. "I know it was hard for you, but please, just give me one chance to try to fix this."
"You can't fix it." You said you were moving away from him. "But I can give you one chance. Just one." You added it, making him smile. Still, you smiled slightly.
"Thank God." He moved and kissed your forehead. "I'll fix this, I promise. I'll make a proper family with you".
Maybe his charming smile was still working for you.

Hi hi ! I was wondering if you would do Amelia Shepherd x fem reader fic where R is the third twisted sister to Cristina and Mer, Amelia and reader have been in a relationship in secret for a while because they afraid of Mer’s reaction. They finally tell her and she gets protective of R but at the end she is very supportive and protects them against a patient’s hate comment? Xoxo
You’re dating my sister?
Summary: see req above!
Pairings: Amelia Shepherd x fem!reader
fluff, slight angst, homophobia, use of a homophobic slur
Word Count: 1.04k
NOT PROOFREAD
SET WHEN MEREDITH DIDNT LIKE AMELIA MUCH IN THE BEGINNING
Reader pov:
One year. One whole year me and Amelia have been dating for. It’s crazy how fast time feels when you’re in love, I do t know what I’d do without her. The only issue is my best friends, Cristina and Metrdith. Not that I’m afraid of their answer, well. I’m not staid if Cristina’s answer.
Meredith’s husband happens to be my girlfriend brother. It’s a minor detail, and you know, Meredith isn’t the biggest fan of said sister. Me and ames have talked it over and we’re going to tell people soon, but leave Mer till last, what could go wrong right?
Cristina went wrong.
“Hey! Cristina!” I whisper yelled across the nurses station.
“If you have another twisted-sisters-almost-died-or-had-a-traumatic-event drama to tell me save it for after my surgery. Please.” She sighed out.
“No it’s not that I have to tell you something. But you can not, and I mean can not, tell mer.“ I insist
“Dann what did you do screw her sister or something?”
I stay silent at this and her eyes go wide. “Oh. My. God. No you did not.”
I nod my head profusely and respond “We’ve been dating for a year Cristina. Me and Amelia, what am I supposed to tell her?!” I start to panic just thinking about all the different ways this could go wrong.
“Ohh I have no idea! Good luck, you’re gunna need it, oh and tell me when you’re telling her so I can watch.” I rolled my eyes as she walked away from me towards the OR to scrub in.
I walk to my patients room pondering ways to tell mer about me and Amelia, it was going to be a long day.
Amelia pov:
“Derek! Come here!” I call out to him across the neuro floor.
“What do you need I’ve got a surgery with Yang in like, 2 minutes?” He says looking bored before I even start talking.
“Hey you could at least act interest in what I’m about to say, oh and don’t tell mer yet. Please.” His interest was piqued at this so he gave me a look as if to say ‘keep going you’ve got me hooked’ so I continued “Me and y/n have been dating for a year, and we are o my just telling people ad were scared how mer will react because she’s not exactly my biggest fan as of right now and her and y/n/n, and Cristina obviously, are like twisted sisters or whatever.” I took a breather after sayibg all that and my brother just looked like he wanted to laugh in my face.
“Well, good luck!” He smiled and walked off to the OR.
Well shit.
Reader pov:
I walk into my patients room still deep in thought when he speaks up, he’s fairly old, around 70-ish and was in for a broken hip. “You seemed pretty serious with whatever you were talking about back there and now I don’t even get a hello? Something’s gotta be on your mind Doctor.” He gave me a knowing smirk as I open my mouth yet no words come out and let out and exasperated sigh.
“Ah you know, trouble in paradise, well, paradise’s surroundings at least.” I say trying to be as brief as possible.
“Happens to the best of us kid.” He seemed like a genuinely nice guy and to be honest I needed a break so instead of getting a nurse to check his vitals I decided I was going to do them, although it seemed someone else had the same idea.
“Hey y/n/n what are you doing here?” I hear a voice I know all too well say from behind me.
“Hi Ames, just doing Mr Davison’s vitals, are you okay?” I say giving her a smile.
“Funny I was just coming to do the same thing.” she walked beside me and trailed her hand lightly over my lower back which didn’t go unnoticed by Mr Davison.
“Your ‘paradise’ is a she? Ugh just another dyke, exactly what we need!” I stare at him shocked, as does Amelia. His sudden outburst seemed to pull some attention from outside and the one person that I didn’t want to walked in, walked in.
“Is everything okay in here?” Meredith asked.
“No get these people away from me! Horrible people you lgqbt whatever people!” He flailed his arms about like a toddler as he was ranting and raving. Immediately Meredith jumped to our defence.
“Excuse you? Who do you think you’re talking to? I have you know you’ve just made and enemy out of the best neuro, general and ortho (sorry callie) in the state. It’s 2024 in the USA for gods sake, get a grip man!” With this she ushered us out of the room and then into an in call room so she could talk to us.
“YOURE WHAT?!” mer practically yelled
“Keep your voice down, yes we’re dating.” Amelia said to mer try help her keep her head on.
“Look Amelia, I love y/n with my whole heart she’s my sister okay? So, if you hurt her, break her heart or do anything to even slightly harm her, I will hurt you twice as much. She’s the best thing that’ll ever happened to you, so don’t screw it up okay?” My heart warmed after hearing just how much mer cared about me and that she would protect me but also slightly concerned she just threatened my girlfriend.
“Yes ma’am.” Amelia murmured clearly slightly intimidated by mer.
“Okay, now that that’s out the way, I’m so happy for you guys!” Me and Ames say thanks and mer’s oager goes off so she has to run so me and amy are left alone in the in-call room.
“I love you Amelia.” I say as I peck her lips and wrap my arms around her neck.
“I love you too y/n/n.” At this she pulled me into a passionate kiss and lowered us both down onto a bed.
When in an unoccupied on-call room…

PROPOSALS & REJECTIONS
FEATURING Mark Sloan x reader
SUMMARY Mark won’t get off your ass about a date, but you refuse to stoop so low until your best friends Derek and Addison change your mind
CONTENT WARNINGS descriptions of injuries, pain, mentions of infertility, mark being gross, and maybe language
AUTHORS NOTE I’ve been in a Grey’s anatomy mood, and tumblr is LACKING in my husband Sloan fics so I made whatever this is. As always, let me know if you want a second part.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Go away Mark,” you sigh, grabbing the stack of charts you were updating at the nurses station before he showed up.
“C’mon! I haven’t even said anything yet!” He argues, a hint of offense in his tone as he follows after you down the hall.
“You don’t have to say anything, you’re Mark,” you grumble before turning a sharp corner, leaving him standing in the hallway as you enter your patients room.
“Don’t say I didn’t warn you,” Derek chuckles as he walks past and Mark let’s out a huff, following after him to their patient.
“Man, that fish is hard to hook.” Mark sighs, shaking his head.
“Well, maybe that “fish” would be easier to catch if you stopped calling her a fish,” Derek laughs as they continue down to the pre-op section of the hospital. Mark thinks about saying something sarcastic in response about his and Meredith’s rocky relationship, but decides against it because it’s Derek, so instead he sulks the rest of the day.
Tumblr media
“God, I swear Sloan doesn’t know when to quit!” You complain as you aggressively roll a hip back into place, causing your patient to let out a howl in pain.
“He’s definitely persistent, I will give him that,” Addison sighs, holding the patient down while he continues to writhe in pain.
“Enough of Mark, what brings you down to my trauma bay today?” I ask, grabbing the man’s chart and writing ‘hip reduction and 10mg of propofol’ on the sheet before setting it back down and administering the drugs into his IV.
“I was hoping for some advice,” Addison starts, fiddling with her hands while I continue to move around the trauma room.
“Hold that thought, Addie,” I apologize, “Nurse, could you page Dr. Stevens and Dr. Shepard for me?” I wait to signal for Addison to start talking again until the nurse nods her head and leaves the room. “Okay, now we’ve removed the nurse's gossip, and…” I trail off as I look over at Mr. Howard, my car trauma patient, to find him knocked out and with stable vitals, for now, “a stable patient. Hit me!”
“Do you remember when I left for LA a few days ago?” She asks, looking off.
“Well, yeah, you only got back like two days ago,” I chuckle, raising a brow at her, she rolls her eyes in response to my comment.
“Anyways,” she continues, pointedly, “When I went, I was going to see Naomi, you remember her?”
“Yeah, from college right? She was with you guys in New York too, the fertility specialist?”
“That’s her..” she trails off, a single, small tear trailing down her cheek.
“Oh, Addie,” I sigh, pulling her much taller frame into my smaller one and cradling her in my arms.
“My whole life I’ve waited for kids, but now that I’m ready to actually have them, I have barely any eggs and my FSH is too low,” she sobs, her tears wetting the top of my dark navy scrubs.
“Shh, it’s going to be okay,” I coo, holding her tight. “You are Addison freaking Montgomery, do you hear me?” I ask, pulling her back to look her in the eye. “You’ve been through an affair on both sides of your marriage and you still fought for your happily ever after, you’ve been through a divorce and have lived to see the other side, and now you will make it through this.” I wish I could force her to see her own strength because I’ve known Addison since college and she has always been a fighter. Unlike her and Naomi, I didn’t follow along to New York, instead, I went to Massachusetts General in Boston and stayed in touch with Addie and Derek, even occasionally joining them down in New York for a vacation weekend. I was the best trauma surgeon in the country until I got an emergency call from Addison begging me to join her in Seattle, and ever since I flew down there, I fell in love with the city and its weather. Richard was also greatly persuasive in his offer to me in joining his hospital, along with everything my best friend was going through, I couldn’t say no, so I stayed in Seattle and have become the best trauma teacher the country has ever seen. I can’t say I don’t miss Boston though, there were definitely a lot less dramatics down there, but Seattle is where my family is, and I can’t leave them now, not even if Mark Sloan is making my life a living hell.
“Thank you,” Addison sniffles once she’s calm enough to speak, wiping her eyes with the backs of her hands.
“Hey, shut up with that crap, you know I am always here for you,” I say sincerely, smiling warmly up at her. “But if you really wanted to help me out, you would get Mark off my back.” I half jokingly say in hopes of lightening Addison’s soured mood, and it seems to work a little bit, pulling a laugh out of her that makes me feel relieved. Our mutual happiness doesn’t last long though, because soon after Derek comes waltzing into the room with Stevens and her interns in tow. I nod at Addison and she smiles gratefully as she exits the room, passing by Derek without a word.
“Dr. Shepard, I need a neuro consult, right pupil looks to be blown, I’m assuming a stroke or increased intracranial pressure of some kind, but you might want a resident to order a head CT.” I inform while a nurse delivers the chart to his hand. Derek looks it over and I turn my attention to the resident I had to page to the trauma bay. “As for you Dr. Stevens, could you please give me a valid reason why I had to page you, my assigned resident for the day, to my trauma bay?” Stevens doesn’t say anything, but has the brains to at least look guilty. I narrow my eyes at the blonde, waiting patiently for a response while Derek performs a few tests on the incapacitated patient.
“I’m sorry, ma’am, I was just-I had a-” She stutters and I immediately become more suspicious because Stevens doesn’t stutter on a regular basis.
“Well, if my specialty doesn’t seem too important to you, then please feel free to do scut with your interns until you find a good enough answer for me.” I scoff, sending her out of the room with her terrified interns following close behind.
“Wow, I can see why they call you Satan,” Derek chuckles, shaking his head, while placing his handheld flashlight back into his coat pocket.
“I’m flattered,” I joke, leaning against the counter. “So, how is Christina?” I ask, crossing my arms against my chest.
“I wouldn’t know,” he answers while checking out Howard’s spine for any other injuries, “Meredith and I aren’t really on speaking terms yet.”
“Oh, you mean since she unofficially broke up with you in front of Christina and Preston’s entire wedding party?” I ask knowingly.
“Yes, since then,” he grumbles, stepping away from the patient to look at me. “You are right about the CT, I would definitely like to get some films, but these burns on his neck look pretty bad, I would recommend a plastics consult too.” The bastard has the audacity to grin and I send a sharp glare at him in response. “In fact, I think I will ask a nurse to page Dr. Sloan along with my resident.” I literally feel myself cringe at the sound of his name, well played Shepard.
“I think it will be smart to make myself scarce then,” I smile in response, gathering my things and leaving the room with Derek following behind me.
“He’s not all that bad you know,” Derek tries, pulling a laugh from deep in my chest.
“You’re joking, right? You mean he’s not bad other than the fact that he is a literal man-whore who your ex-wife cheated on you with before she was your ex-wife?”
“He got what was coming to him the same as Addison, and I hold no more ill will against him.” Derek shrugs, “He was my best friend once upon a time you know, it’s hard to just let that all go.”
“I know,” I sigh, “but I just don’t know if I can really trust him to stay.. Loyal.” I hesitantly reply. “It’s not that he’s not hot, because I mean-”
“Yeah! Yeah, no! Ew. Stop.” Derek cringes.
“What? He is!” I laugh, handing Howard’s chart to a nurse available at the station we’ve happened to stop at.
“I know, but that doesn’t mean I enjoy hearing about it,” he says as he jokingly shivers in disgust. “Seriously, though. If you want to test his loyalty, give him hoops, make him jump through them, and if he is really invested then he will.”
“Thanks Derek.” I smile.
“Don’t mention it.” He grins, asking the nurses to page Karev and Sloan before winking at me and walking off.
Tumblr media
I am still caught up updating charts when Sloan and Karev make it down to the nurses station, when I look up I see Alex waiting for instructions and Mark checking me out. “Karev, your patient is in trauma room three, get him up to CT asap so I can free up the room,” I order, handing him Howard’s chart from the stack I am currently trying to get through before the end of my shift.
“You paged?” Mark asks, a seductive hint to his tone that signals he is about to make an overly sexual comment. “Is it because you missed me? Or maybe you finally have an answer for me about that drink,” he winks, leaning against the counter on one muscular arm, his strong body facing me directly while I ignore him, finishing the current chart at the top of the stack. “C’mon, honey, you can’t avoid me forever,” he grins, wiggling his eyebrows at me while I let out a sigh.
“I only wish I could, Mark.”
“But you can’t,” his smile widens at my defeated tone. “So what do you say? Drink on me after shift?”
“I say no.” I answer once again.
“Why not?” he asks, but he already knows my answer because it hasn’t changed.
“Because I said so.” I grumble in response, closing Mrs. Hopkins chart and placing it in the growing pile of finished patient charts before opening the next one, belonging to Mr. Luiz.
“That’s not good enough for me,” Mark responds, and it feels like we’ve had this conversation before, because we have.
“Well it is for me.” I huff, pressing my pen harder into the page as I grow more and more irritated.
“Just give me a chance here, I promise it will be worth your while,” Mark continues, trying once again to persuade me.
“No it won’t.”
“Yes it will.”
“It won’t.”
“It will.”
“Won’t.”
“Will.”
“No.”
“Yes.”
“Oh my god!” I shout, gaining the attention of every patient, nurse, and doctor in the ER. I huff at my outburst, grabbing Mark by his strong arm, I pull him with me to the closest on-call room.
“Alright,” he smirks, grabbing at his shirt after I close the door behind us.
“Keep your shirt on, Mark. This isn’t a yes, it’s a condition.” I offer, running my hands down my face in irritation at my resolve.
“What is it?” he asks, seemingly excited to have finally gotten somewhere. Mark has been trying to get into my pants since I first met him when I flew down to see Addison in New York for the first time, and it was just as old back then as it is now, the only difference is I have less patience now than I did back then, and Mark has only gotten more annoying throughout the years.
“No sex with other women, no flirting with me or anyone, no goo-goo eyes, or date proposals for sixty days.”
“Okay, what do I win if I make it?” he wonders, practically bouncing in his spot expecting my response.
“If you make it, then I will go on a date with you,” I sigh, running a hand through my hair. “Sixty days of peace, then I am yours for one night.”
“One night until I blow your socks off with my impressive penis and charming personality.” He smirks, leaning on the wall and getting in my space.
“I’ve seen both already and neither are impressive enough to “blow my socks off” or whatever you’re planning on trying to do,” I respond flatly, ignoring the spark of attraction that moves through me like an electrical wire when he moves closer.
“Ouch. You wound me.” He jokes, mock holding his chest.
“Good. So, do we have a deal?” I ask, impatient.
“Yes,” he grins, holding his hand out and I reluctantly take it in my own, giving it a strong shake that sends heat straight to places I don’t want heat to be around this man. I can’t say that I am not excited to enjoy my two months of peace, but I know he won’t make and that will hopefully be enough time for him to realize that he doesn’t want to be with me, he just likes the idea of being with someone, anyone since he lost Addison.

No but can I talk about how much I hate Derek Shepherd and Owen hunt. Fr, on a rewatch rn, and it's the point with mer messes with the alzheimer's trial and they're trying to adopt Zola, and this man. Derek finds out about the trails and then, so mers fans, says that he doesn't know if he can raise a kid with 'someone who doesn't know right from wrong' and then goes EVEN FURTHER and says she'll be a bad mother. Are. You. Kidding. Me. Who does this man think he is. THATS YOUR WIFE. GET OUTTA HERE WITH THAT. WHO SAYS THAT TO SONEONE THEY LOVE. AND OWEN. Christina gets pregnant and tells Owen and (even though from the very beginning she has been nothing but upfront about not wanting kids, even when they had a whole subplot about it a few episodes ago) he keeps asking her to just hear him out. Just listen to his side. To try a comprise. To just listen to him for a minute and maybe it'll work out. OWEN. THIS IS A CHILD YOURE TALKING ABOUT. And Christina is straight up saying no, I don't wanna be a mom, because I think I'll be resentful, and it's not what i want, and I listened but this is my decision and I can't do it, so she sets an appointment for a termination and he KICKS HER OUT OF THE APARTMENT. and says that he's been 'denied a marriage, a say in the decision' DUDE. SHE TRIED TO HAVE A CONVERSATION WITH YOU, YOU JUST DIDNT LIKE HER OPINION. he shut her down everytime she tried to say what she wanted, and when she did try to explain, the selective hearing was amazing. Her saying she'd love the baby cause it's hers but it'd destroy her career and she'd hate that even more? All he hears? She'd love the baby. Mind you this is like 2 episodes after he's denies her cheif resident because all the paperwork and clerical stuff would pull her away from surgery. But sure, a baby, no problem. Anyways, I hate these men and that's just from like 2 random episodes in season 7

Know what gives me the ick?
There's a line in private practice for Addison says that she's known Amelia said she was 12 and we know Addison and Derek didn't meet until med school and we also know that there's 12 years between merder. That means there's about a 10-year age gap which puts only 2 years older than Meredith. The part that icks me out is the fact that Derek was chasing after Meredith so hard in the early seasons because she's essentially the same age as his kid sister.
I know this shouldn't matter because they were both adults but it's still just weirds me out
I never took a deep dive into grey's ages so I didn't know all this but now that you mention it that is absolutely gross and once again derek manages to put me off. I vet they were in love later on and all that but genuinely he was so obsessed with someone who could've been his younger sister for the first part of their relationship. And yeah they were adults but Meredith was still quite young.

Arizona Robbin x reader - Bonding over a trauma
First posted on my Wattpad - arizona_is_my_wife
Word count: 965 (including A/N)
Arizona's POV: Owen - "Incoming trauma people, multiple car collisions 5 injured and critical 2 dead on site be ready!" Great. I've just got out a  surgery on a kid who needed a new bowel but there was some complications so it ran over and I was in the OR for like 11 hours and now this? Don't get me wrong I adore my job but I just want to sleep. I go and get a trauma gown on and wait for the ambulances.  Y/N - "Hey I assume you got called down here for the trauma as well?"
Y/N's a cardiothoracic surgeon whom I happen to have a massive high school style crush on, she's a god. Like I don't think I've ever seen her lose a patient. Sure she may not cure them all the way and might have just bought them a couple more months but, that's better than dying on the table and if she couldn't do anything no one else could've. Arizona - "Yeah I was, I hope it's not too bad because I just got out of a really long surgery so I want to sleep so bad" Y/N - "I feel you, I just got done with a CABG it didn't take long only 5 hours but I've been at work since 4:30am for pre rounds and it now what? 6:30pm." Arizona - "Man that's rough, wanna grab a drink at Joe's after this?" Y/N - "Sure, I could do with some alcohol." Our conversation was short lived as we heard the wail of the ambulance siren rapidly approaching. Paramedic - "Female, 17 years old, multiple lacerations to the abdomen and chest, presumably a broken leg and a foreign body lodged in her chest!" Y/N - "Thank you we've got it from here."
Time skip
We managed to stitch up all her other wounds and stabilise her leg until Callie can come look at it and now we're trying to figure out what object is sitting dangerously close to her heart. I go and collect the scans to show y/n. Arizona - "Well, it doesn't look like glass." Y/N - "Definitely not glass. Wait.." Arizona - "What, what? Did you see something?" Y/N - "Crap! That's pushing  right on her left ventricle we need to get her to an OR now before it penetrates it and she bleeds out!"
We rush her into an OR and crack her chest.  Y/N - "In all my years of being a surgeon I have never seen a girl with a piece of number plate (license plate) in her chest, what about you Robbins?" Arizona - "Yeah no, this is a first for me too."
As we continued to operate nothing went wrong, like I said, god. So before I knew it, it was time to close and for Callie to come in and fix her leg. We left an intern to close because we both just wanted out of the hospital at that point.
We walked to Joe's and sat at a table and ordered drinks, I got a vodka and lemonade she got a beer. We sat in silence for a while until she spoke up Y/N - "You know, we should really hang out more, your a very fun person to be around. You're so bubbly and fun so.. yeah just an idea." It was cute because I could tell she was nervous and in all fairness I was nervous to reply because I didn't want to screw this up. Arizona - "I'd love that, you're a very nice person to be around too y/n."
Y/N POV: For weeks we have been flirting, weeks. Yet neither one of us has made a move. This is the closest we have got to asking the other out ever, so, I took it upon myself to make an even bigger move. I leaned in and kissed her. Her lips were soft and fit perfectly against mine. I felt her melt into the kiss and all my nerves around the whole situation evaporated. Her hand trailed its way from her lap to my cheek and the other to my hip. I took the incentive to wrap my arms around her waist and pull her closer. At this point air was becoming a problem so we pulled apart. Arizona - "I know it might be a bit soon so no pressure but because we've know each other for a while and with all the flirting I just assumed we could skip the whole 'talking' stage and just got straight to being girlfriends I mean if you don't want to it's fine like I said no pressure or anything.." As she rambled I just stared right into her blue orbs, they're so mesmerising and just downright gorgeous. She stopped talking to that made me snap out of my trance.  Arizona - "So?" Y/N - "Arizona, I would love nothing more than to be your girlfriend."  She smiled ear to ear as I pulled her into my embrace. She buried her head into my shoulder and we just sat there for a bit before deciding to crash at her place for the night.
As we layed in her bed she was cuddling me, my head was in her chest and my arms around her like a koala. She wrapped her arms around my tired frame and rested her head atop mine and whispered sweet nothings into my ear as we fell into a peaceful slumber.
Don't get me wrong it was a tragic accident and I would never wish it upon anyone ever but, I am happy the trauma came in because otherwise this wouldn't of happened, I wouldn't have Arizona. My Arizona <3

As Mark trailed me through the chaos of the trauma bay, his persistent presence grated on my nerves like sandpaper against skin. "Come on, really?!" he groaned, his voice a constant background noise amidst the urgent flurry of activity.
I snapped, whirling around to face him with a sharpness born of frustration. My momentum almost carried me into his chest, but I held my ground, meeting his gaze head-on. "Mark!" I snapped, my tone sharp and clipped. "Either lend a hand with a patient or give me some breathing room. Your constant badgering isn't doing anyone any favors!"
Despite our recent agreement, Mark seemed unwilling to let the matter rest. Two weeks had passed, yet he continued to push for renegotiation, his persistence bordering on exasperating. "All I'm asking for is a reconsideration of the terms, maybe some clarification?" he pleaded, his voice tinged with desperation as he trailed after me like a persistent shadow.
I raised an eyebrow at his persistence, feeling the weight of his expectations pressing down on me. "I'm pretty sure pestering me about the deal violates the terms of the deal, doesn't it?" I countered, my patience wearing thin as I paused by a patient's bedside to assess their condition.
Mark's response came quick and defensive, as if he feared he had crossed an invisible line. "It doesn't!" he insisted, his words tinged with a hint of uncertainty.
Turning my attention back to the young girl before me, I pushed aside the distraction of Mark's relentless pursuit. The patient needed my focus, her frightened eyes pleading for reassurance amidst the chaos of the emergency room. "Mark, we can discuss this later," I relented, my voice softened by compassion as I comforted the child. "But for now, could you please page pediatrics? This little girl needs help."
Mark's silence spoke volumes, a tacit acknowledgment that my promise of a future conversation had quelled his insistence, at least for the moment. With a sense of relief, he hurried off to find Arizona, leaving me to tend to the young patient in need of care.

After endless hours of rushing through the ER—performing emergency surgeries, consulting with specialists, endlessly paging colleagues, chastising interns, and offering solace to nurses—I finally reached the moment to clock out and head home.
Arriving at the lounge, it was already four in the morning, marking a shift spanning over twenty-four hours. Despite the exhaustion, there was no other place I'd rather be. Being there for people during their darkest moments gave me a sense of purpose, making the world feel a bit brighter and more hopeful.
Sighing with relief, I settled onto the bench in front of my locker to change my shoes. The door creaked open, but I was too drained to look up. My senses jolted when I felt strong hands on my shoulders, instantly relaxing as they worked out the knots in my neck.
"Derek, the least you could've done was announce yourself," I chided weakly, my eyelids drooping with the soothing massage. "You nearly gave me a heart attack… I could've…"
My voice trailed off as I surrendered to the blissful sensation of his skilled hands. Derek remained silent, and if he replied, I was too ensnared by sleep to hear. As fatigue overtook me, I imagined soft lips planting a tender kiss on my temple before I was lifted and carried to a far more comfortable spot than the hard bench. Drifting into oblivion, I couldn't discern where I was headed, enveloped in the security of those warm arms cradling me against a sturdy chest.

The morning sunlight filtering through the blinds gradually roused me from my deep sleep. Blinking groggily, I found myself in a familiar yet unfamiliar setting—the on-call room at the hospital. Confusion clouded my mind momentarily as I struggled to recall how I ended up here.
Pushing myself up into a sitting position, I glanced around, noticing the empty space beside me. Memories of being carried to this room flooded back, but the identity of the person who had carried me remained shrouded in the haze of sleep.
Shaking off the remnants of drowsiness, I resolved to seek out the one who had assisted me—or rather, who I thought had assisted me. With a slight sense of anticipation tinged with apprehension, I made my way through the corridors to Derek's office.
Knocking lightly on the door, I waited for a response. When it swung open, my heart skipped a beat as Derek's familiar figure stood before me. "Hey," I began tentatively, "thanks for last night. I appreciate—"
Before I could finish my sentence, Derek's brow furrowed in confusion. "Last night?" he echoed, his expression puzzled.
Realization dawned on me slowly as I processed his words. "Wait… it wasn't you?" I murmured, feeling a knot of embarrassment forming in my stomach.
Derek shook his head, his confusion deepening. "No, I haven't seen you since yesterday afternoon."
My cheeks flushed with embarrassment as the truth sank in. If it wasn't Derek who had carried me to bed last night, then…
As the pieces fell into place, I turned to see Mark standing nearby, wearing a sheepish expression. "You… it was you," I murmured, feeling a mixture of embarrassment and genuine gratitude.
Mark nodded sheepishly. "Yeah, I saw you asleep on the bench and thought you needed somewhere to properly sleep. Sorry for the mix-up."
As Mark's smirk widened, a sense of resignation settled over me. I could practically predict his next words before they even left his lips. "Can I call in my favor now?" he asked, his tone laced with playful anticipation.
With a weary sigh, I dropped my head, bracing myself for the inevitable. Derek's laughter echoed from the doorway, adding to the surreal moment. "Let me guess," I muttered, feeling a mixture of defeat and amusement, "you want to take me out on a date."
In perfect synchronization, Mark blurted out, "Can I take you out on a date?"
The irony of the situation wasn't lost on me. I groaned inwardly, knowing there was no way out of this. "Fine, fine," I relented, my voice carrying a hint of resignation. "You can take me out."
Mark's expression shifted to one of skepticism, his eyes narrowing slightly. "And you'll actually try?" he teased, his voice tinged with doubt.
With a roll of my eyes, I reluctantly agreed, feeling a mix of reluctance and curiosity. "I'll actually try," I conceded, already bracing myself for whatever adventure Mark had in mind.

The day of the date arrived amidst the usual chaos of the ER. As the attending physician, my schedule was packed with emergencies, consultations, and the constant buzz of activity that defined life in the hospital.
Despite the whirlwind of responsibilities, I found myself stealing glances at the clock throughout the day, counting down the hours until the evening. Thoughts of the impending date with Mark lingered at the back of my mind, a mix of nervousness and curiosity churning within me.
Between attending to patients and coordinating with the medical team, I couldn't help but wonder how the evening would unfold. Mark, the plastic surgery attending, was undoubtedly accustomed to a different pace of life compared to the frenetic energy of the emergency room. Would he find our date as overwhelming as I found his world of cosmetic procedures and aesthetic enhancements?
Despite my reservations and the knot of discomfort in my stomach, I couldn't ignore the fact that Mark had been persistent in his pursuit for years. His reputation as a known player and his past indiscretions, including sleeping with my best friend, left a bitter taste in my mouth. Yet, his relentless pestering had finally worn me down, leading me to reluctantly agree to this date.
As I prepared for the evening, a mixture of emotions swirled within me. Anger, disappointment, and a lingering sense of betrayal warred with the faint glimmer of curiosity and the possibility of something new. Despite my better judgment, I couldn't shake the feeling that perhaps there was more to Mark than met the eye.
Arriving at the restaurant after the hospital had calmed down enough for me to feel comfortable with leaving, I braced myself for the encounter, steeling my resolve as I stepped through the door. The soft glow of candlelight and the murmur of conversation enveloped me, creating an atmosphere that felt both intimate and nerve-wracking.
Spotting Mark across the room, a wave of conflicting emotions washed over me. Resentment mingled with a begrudging acknowledgment of his persistence, tempered by a cautious curiosity about what the evening might entail.
Taking a deep breath, I squared my shoulders and approached him, determined to give this date a chance despite my reservations. After all, perhaps there was more to Mark than his reputation suggested, and maybe, just maybe, tonight would offer a glimpse beneath the surface.
