In terms of Fluffybird, I think what Red Guy likes about Duck the most is how full of life he is. Even if Duck's self centered attitude or habits can annoy him at times, it's evident that Red Guy find Duck's enthusiasm and joy to be absolutely contagious when he isn't acting apathetic.
Red Guy can't help but join Duck in his antics, and they get along the best when he does.
I think in a way, Stain Edwards is Duck at his best. The only difference is, he isn't burdened by trauma or life experience. It doesn't matter if he "killed" Duck or not, because he is Duck's replacement. He's a mere vessel to capture his essence once the previous one deteriorates beneath the ground.
Stain Edwards core values are that he's honest, which Duck certainly is. He also has a sense of adventure, which Duck definitely has in terms of his potential career choices and in cross dressing. Stain Edwards even refers to space, which relates to Duck's fascination with being an astronaut.
Stain Edwards fixates on finances as another core value, which I believe refers to Duck's dream to "create a digital currency based around respect." Duck genuinely does want to do good for the world, like Stain Edwards clearly expresses throughout his song.
Stain Edwards is a higher thinker in questioning if their "reality is a simulation" which it actually is in their case. Duck being a higher thinker was hinted in the original series, when he questions if "time is an contruct of human perception; an illusion."
This all is visually represented when Lesley showcases to charged!Yellow Guy her endless replacements of Duck, despite there seemingly being no difference in terms of his memories.
Therefore, I believe that Red Guy turning Stain Edwards into Duck stems from a subconscious desire to see Duck at his best. He wants Duck to be in tuned with his core values, and to enjoy life at it's fullest together. Yellow is afraid of losing Duck as he is, but Red Guy has seen a glimpse of Stain Edwards within Duck, and he likes it, even if he isn't used to it.
Red Guy likes to look at Duck, and he enjoys his company, but they are all weighed down by their very real nightmare of a life, and positive change never lasts for long.
