Day 9 #discoveringdisney photo challenge: ANIMAL . . Today was an epic day! I checked in at #epcotfoodandwinefestival for the 4th time today and picked up my free #annualpassholder gift. This Chef Mickey cutting board is so cute and it is even more special now because Mickey, Goofy, and Minnie signed it for me 😍👏🎉 . . I chose these photos of Minnie and I for my "animal" pic because, aside from Mickey, I can't think of any mouse I love more 🐭. Started my Saturday off at Animal Kingdom this past weekend 🌳 It was my first time visiting in a very long time, and although we only did half a day there (we had plans to see Cinderella's castle at night) we accomplished a lot in a very short amount of time⌚ . . One of my favorite moments was at the Maharajah Jungle Trek. My sweet nephew and the little boy with a blue hat kept running into each other on the trail, and the first pic in this series was when it first happened. Day 18 of the #discoveringdisney photo challenge: It all started with a mouse 🐭 . . I have been waiting for this weekend to post these pictures of me with Mickey Mouse ♥️. I'm sure that most Disney lovers can agree that Mickey Mouse was one of their first favorite celebrities. I remember being a small child with my autograph book in hand, and beaming with excitement because I got to meet Mickey Mouse in person, and he gave me his autograph too! . . I felt the same exact way when I went to #epcotfoodandwinefestival for my 4th visit to collect my passholder cutting board! 🌯🍲🍥🍷🍹I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate becoming a passholder than getting that cutting board and getting to wish Mickey a happy 90th birthday in person! . . I got to Epcot at rope drop on Nov. 9th and headed to festival center like I owned the place, I picked up my prize and booked a #fastpass right away so that I could show it to Mickey. The minute I scanned my #magicband I couldn't stop smiling. While in the fastpass line I saw two little sisters, dressed like Ariel, with their autograph books and different colored sharpies in hand. They were discussing what color marker they were going to have Mickey sign with. It was such a sweet moment to witness. 😍 When it was my turn to meet Mickey, I showed him my cutting board, I told him happy birthday and that he didn't look a day over 21, and gave him a big hug 🤗 He asked (in his own Mickey way) if I wanted him to sign my cutting board. I hadn't even thought of that and I didn't have a pen! Mickey waved a cast member down and they made a sharpie magically appear. As you can see, the smile never left my face! 😁 . . All this to say, Happy Birthday to the Mouse that Walt created to make children and even adults smile. To bring light to a world with a lot of darkness. To make even the most sinical, believe in magic again. Mickey has been a symbol of love, hope, and magic for 90 years. Day 16 #discoveringdisney photo challenge: FAVORITE CHARACTER . . Since I already posted about my favorite character yesterday, I decided to share a few photos from some of my favorite Character meet and greets at Walt Disney World. 📷: @disneyphotopass . . I feel like I will never be too old to to take a picture, hug, and chat with some of my favorite Disney Characters. Disney is all about using your imagination and giving in to your inner child. No matter how old I get, I never want to loose that sense of childlike wonder ✨🌈 Character meets will always be one of my favorite parts of visiting Walt Disney World, the Disney PhotoPass photographers do such an amazing job of truly capturing the magic 📸✨🧞 . . I'm sure most of you have heard that Disney PhotoPass is going to be replacing some of the photographers with automated cameras. I have to say, I am pretty disappointed in this decision. Day 15 of the #discoveringdisney photo challenge: MOVIE . . Today's pics are dedicated to my 1st favorite Disney movie, The Little Mermaid (watching it RIGHT NOW for the 734567789 time). You can't tell but, the first pic is of me and my hubby riding Ariel's Undersea Adventure, (more on that later) 😉😘 . . The Little Mermaid came out 1 year and 5 months after my 1st birthday, and since my mom and dad are both Disney fans they bought me all the Disney VHS tapes as soon as they came out. I can't remember a time in my life that I wasn't obsessed with Ariel's story 😍😍😍 . . As a toddler I'm sure I was mostly interested in the music and colors. 🎶🎨🌈🦀 As I became a little older it was definitely all about the songs. I sang Part of Your World and drove my family crazy! And I still do! When I became a headstrong teenager, and even into adulthood I was able to identify with Ariel's actual story more than ever before. And now, that I have met and married my Prince Eric, I find myself driving him crazy singing all of the songs ♥️🎶🐚 . . On that subject, I want to give a shout out to my hubby. I know I have mentioned that he is not a huge theme park fan. But, he sure did go to Magic Kingdom with me, in the middle of the June heat, and smile for a pic in a pink clam shell just for me. Love you babe, my Prince Eric ♥️🤴🏾 . . Disney's The Little Mermaid was my 1st favorite movie, Ariel was my 1st favorite Princess and quite honestly The Little Mermaid is the movie that started my love for Disney. Day 6 of the #discoveringdisney photo challenge: ART . . This statue is located in Epcot's Japan Pavilion. There is a cute exhibit there by Sebastian Masuda.The exhibit is called “Kawaii: Japan’s Cute Culture” and this piece is called Melty-Go-Round (Harajuku Girl) ⛩️🇯🇵🏯  . . I honestly thought I was going to have to skip today's challenge but, then I remembered that my sister and I both loved the Japan's Cute Culture exhibit and this statue definitely stood out 😍 . . This pink, transparent, sculpture is made up of toys, jewelry, and other objects that Masuda collected while traveling to other Asian countries as well as the United States. He collected inspiration from all over.
